What's the Question?
GB.
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit; Born of the Virgin Mary; Suffered under Pontius Pilate; Was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into Hell; The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven; And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; The Holy Christian Church, the Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.
THE NICENE CREED
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten not made, being of one substance with the Father, through Whom all things were made: Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man: Who for us, too, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered, and was buried: the third day He rose according to the Scriptures, ascended into heaven, and is seated on the right hand of the Father: He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom shall have no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son: Who together with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified: Who spoke by the prophets.
And I believe one holy, Christian, and apostolic Church.
I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins, and I look for the resurrection of the dead and life of the age to come.
Amen.
You stated "Christ died to change the world"
The scripture doesn't say Christ came to "change" the world. He came so those who receive him might have life, and that's "EVERLASTING LIFE" and fellowship with the Father.
Now he put his Spirit in us/ believers and the Holyspirit spirit changes us, ( providing his Spirit dwells in us ).
Here's just a few of many scriptures:
1 John 2:2. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Matthew 20:28. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
1 Timothy 2:5-6. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Maybe there's others who would like to elaborate.
God bless you.
Christ died to change world on man is still evil , did he died invain ?.
Part 1.
Lets look at some history of the Jews to get an understanding what was the purpose for the tongues where it's first mentioned in Act ch 2.
The Lord says in the Gospels he come for the lost sheep of Israel.
Israel was dispersed all over the then known world after the Babylonia captivity and until that day many remained away from Jerusalem and had NO KING TO SIT ON DAVID'S THRONE. "THEY WERE SCATTERED" NO SHEPPARD.
AND PICKED UP OTHER LANGUAGES.
So you see why the Lord said he come for the lost sheep of Israel.
Around 600 years goes by.
""Plenty time to loose your way"" and some keys in the difficult Hebrew language.
Now we come to the cross and the mission of the Holyspirit.
The Lord sent his disciples to Jerusalem to do the work of the Father but wait to be empowered by the Holyspirit, and the spirit was poured out on everyone to RECEIVE/HEAR THE GOSPEL IN THERE OWN LANGUAGE.
( Acts 1:4. And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
( Luke 24:49. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Acts 2:4-8. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with OTHER TONGUES, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of EVERY NATION UNDER HEAVEN.
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that EVERY MAN HEARD THEM SPEAK IN HIS OWN LANGUAGE-
( You noticed they weren't unknown tongues? )
-And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
AND HOW HEAR WE EVERY MAN IN OUR OWN TONGUE, WHEREIN WE WERE BORN?
It seems here they were given the power to to "hear and understand" other languages.
The other gifts of the spirit was given as well.
Part 2.
1 Corinthians 12:4-18. Now there are DIVERSITIES OF GIFTS, BUT THE SAME SPIRIT.
And there are DIFFERENCES OF ADMINISTRATIONS, BUT THE SAME LORD.
And there are DIVERSITIES OF OPERATIONS, BUT IT IS THE SAME GOD WHICH WORKETH ALL IN ALL.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
"FOR TO ONE" is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; TO ANOTHER the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
TO ANOTHER faith by the same Spirit; TO ANOTHER the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
TO ANOTHER the working of miracles; TO ANOTHER prophecy; TO ANOTHER discerning of spirits; TO ANOTHER divers kinds of tongues; TO ANOTHER the interpretation of tongues:
But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, DIVIDING TO EVERY MAN SEVERALLY AS HE WILL-
( You noticed these gifts is given and divided as HE/GOD gives. "Not all have the same gifts"
( continuing)
-For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
For the body is not one member, but many.
If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
ALL DIDN'T SPEAK IN TONGUES, AND ALL DIDN'T WORK MIRACLES.
-And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
" I believe the gift of tongues used in that way has ceased "
1 Corinthians 13:8. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Read 1Cor. Ch12 and Ch 13.

As we have gone through this several times on this site. There are some who say that and usually use verses like Mark 16:17. Along with verses through Acts in where the first people receiving the Holy Spirit, after the resurrection of Christ, spake it tongues. Though this does not prove that "theory" of "you have to speak in tongues if you have the Holy Spirit". To speak in "tongues" is a gift from God. I do not condemn anyone who want's to do that. Though as my focus is on doing the Will of God more than anything. I myself really have no interest in that gift. If God wanted me to speak to someone in another language He would have me do it.
I say to you in truth and certainty I have received the Holy Ghost from above. I do not speak in tongues. And I have been condemned by others here for that. Though it makes no difference to me in that they will have to give account for their words.
Read 1 Corinthians 12. Which is about the diversities of gifts from the Holy Spirit. Unique to every person. 1 Corinthians 14 also. One verse is 1 Corinthians 14:5. "Greater is he that prophsieth than he that speaketh with tongues".
Don't let people fool you with that false interpretation. That if you don't speak in tongues you're none of His. Look at Matthew 7:21-23. It is not even the works that we do that save us. The Lord searches our hearts and knows who are His. Good works are what we do to produce good fruit unto the Lord as we know that is what pleases Him. Though that is not what saves us in the end.
Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life!
God Bless.
1 Blessed is the man that hath a virtuous wife, for the number of his days shall be double.
2 A virtuous woman rejoiceth her husband, and he shall fulfil the years of his life in peace.
3 A good wife is a good portion, which shall be given in the portion of them that fear the Lord.
Regarding the behaviour of husbands to their wives, see: Colossians 3:19; 1 Peter 3:7; Ephesians 5:25-29,33.
And for children's behaviour: Colossians 3:20; Ephesians 6:1-3; Proverbs 13:24.

Then someone steps up to the plate & announces that women are being suppressed, disadvantaged & treated in a sub-human way & this needs to be rectified. And I agree to it, if women are being treated as such, then errors made in the past need to be corrected. But in her obedience to God, which also reflects a wife's relationship to her husband, a woman can do no better than to remain humble before her God which demonstrates her love & devotion to Him & a spirit ever keen to hear & do what He asks of her. And this must also be the desire & act of every man towards God, whereby as his wife subjects herself to him, he likewise shows her (nay, showers her) with much love & care.
So I've never viewed Mary as anything less than what God expected of her & what she willingly did & gave of herself to Him. That's a picture of a beautiful relationship of love & trust, but the carnal world only sees that which God has ordained, as skewed & of great disadvantage or mistreatment to women as a whole. Just my thoughts.
THANK YOU,
KATHY
This are people that appose them selves and are teachable . I hardly thing false teachers fit this category.
Bonds is another way of saying one is held in captivity i.e. bound and in jail like Paul is in the passage.
Paul begins the verse by saying wherein I suffer trouble. He's been put in prison for being part of an "Illegal religion." He says I suffer as an evil doer. He's in prison like a criminal, even unto bonds; That word bonds is the Greek word for chains.
Here it is: but the word of God is not bound.
There's an old saying that comes from this verse, you can bind the messenger, but you cannot bind the message.
There were many testimonies of people who were imprisoned for Christ, and who suffered for Christ's sake like Paul, and the gospel just spread like wildfire.
Can you imagine the first imprisonment, when they chained Paul to those soldiers, and people were coming and going all day long, and Paul was talking about Jesus Christ, and you have to wonder who's being held prisoner here?
Remember Paul and Silas were in jail in Philippi and there was a big earthquake, and the Philippian jailor thought all the prisoners had escaped, and Paul said don't kill yourself, we're all still here.
And he said sirs, what must I do to be saved? What must I do to know this kind of God that you know?
God put them in prison so that the prisoners could hear the message, and so the jailor could hear the message, and the jailor's family could hear the gospel message.
We feel bad, and even complain when our life is limited, and when we can't do what we want to do. And yet the history of the church, so many martyrs, and so many people who have suffered for Christ, lost their lives for the sake of the gospel.
So always remember this. They can bind the messenger, but not the message!
In fact, if they put you in jail for being a Christian, they're doing themselves a great disservice, because you can just spread the gospel to everyone that's in jail!
Well actually, there are 7 dispensations. One is correct to say there are divisions, but where one claims them to be is what can make or break the "...workman that needeth not to be ashamed..."
Innocence
Conscience
Human Government
Promise
Law
grace
Future kingdom
Along side the dispensations there are the covenants which can help one to futher understand the dispensations. Dispensations and covenants overlap.
Edenic
Ademic
Noahic
Abrahamic
Mosaic
(some say Palestinian is separate)
Davidic
New Covenant
But not only endure hardship, but CONQUER hardship!!! Paul states in verse 8 that GOD raised JESUS CHRIST from the dead. Thus CHRIST not only endured the hardness of hypocrites and the evil cross, but with FAITH in Our FATHER GOD, CHRIST with GOD CONQUERED the hardness of hypocrites and the evil cross ( Rev. 1:18).
