Yes, I agree , the Word of God is the account ; it is not a story : Yes , I agree, the Word of God is His altitude. How far do you want to go up ? The Word of God is inspired by God to men for us to profit in all areas ofmine and your life. Praise God for a copy of His written Word for my life .
  • Thy word is truth on 2 Timothy 3 - 10 years ago
The King James Bible is the Scripture ( Ecc 8:4). We have a Bible we can place in our hands not some "origionals" no one you or your grandparent's have ever or will ever see. If the "origional's" only were the word of God, then verse 16 should read " all Scripture WAS given by inspiration". That is not the case. God promised to preserve His words ( Psalm 12:6-7)and He has kept His promise. We can read the King James Bible and trust EVERY WORD of it. Amen.

Yes Lord your Word Is All True,as Your Word This World Will But Your Word Will Not!
  • Billy J Manuel on 2 Timothy 3:8 - 10 years ago
Just as truth with always have lies at opposite end of the continuum to have to contend with, so also those who love the truth in Christ Jesus will have those who want to make them suffer and will resist their best efforts. Jesus once said in John 15:18, "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you."

  • Larry sloma on 2 Timothy 3:16 - 11 years ago
Jesus Christ is the Word of God (Logos) and the Bible is the 'account' of what God breathed. 'WE'hear the Shepherd and Follow Him and have the VOICE of the Holy Spirit as 'teacher' as Scripture says. There is dispute between what we have been told by man and what God has said.
  • Rosey on 2 Timothy 3 - 11 years ago
Wow! Thank you Lord for the spirit of discernment and blessings of obedience to YOUR word and not mans! The Spirit of the Lord has shown me the disobedience of man in turning away from preaching YOUR scriptural truth, but instead leaning on his own MISunderstanding! There are too many false prophets misleading your sheep and seeking to accuse those who stand on the WORD Abba!(See John 8:47)But in love and truth, I come not to condemn (see John 8:50) If you have a right relationship with the Lord, then you are filled with the Holy Spirit and are able to withstand the wiles of the evil ;' For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in HIGH PLACES!...'
  • Doris on 2 Timothy 3:16 - 11 years ago
I say yes Lord, your word is true, powerful, and sharper. Your word works in every erea of our lives as christians. Thank you my Father for your word in me.
  • Santos Tovar on 2 Timothy 3:16 - 11 years ago
Yes, the original scriptures were inspired by God. If any discrepan-
cies have occurred, these are due to translations misspellings and other human inaccuracies, not God's. Therefore, all Scripture is inspired, accurate, and truthful to God plan for humankind.

This chapter describes attitudes and characteristics of people in detail. All of these traits described in this chapter can be seen today and they are only getting worse. This should make it clear that we are definitely living in the last days and that we must take action now if we are to survive the end of this wicked world.
  • Centive on 2 Timothy 3:16 - 11 years ago
All scripture is profitable for doctrine. It doesn't say all scripture is doctrine.
  • Dani on 2 Timothy 3 - 11 years ago
I thank God for the truth if his WORD! We are indeed living in perilous times. This generation is truly upside down and in direct opposition to a right side up God! Our only hope is to draw closer to Him.

I AM A BLACK WOMAN WHO HAS NEVER BEEN MARRIED NOR DO I HAVE ANY CHILDREN. I REFUSE TO PRODUCE CHILDREN OUT OF WED-LOCK AND UNFORTUNATELY IN TODAY'S SOCIETY OR SHOULD I SAY SUB-CULTURE, IT'S NO LONGER REALISTIC OR NECESSARY TO WED ESPECIALLY IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY SO I MAY END UP BEING ALONE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, WELL I'D RATHER BE ALONE FIR THE RIGHT REASONS RATHER THAN THE WRONG.

Outwardly religious, but inwardly satanic, they call God Lord but they don't live in submission to his lordship over their life. They claim to preach the truth but in real sense hate and reject the truth.
  • DEBORAH on 2 Timothy 3 - 11 years ago
I should be ever prepared because "THE DAY" is coming
  • Tom Goff on 2 Timothy 3:16 - 11 years ago
All scripture is 'God Breathed' straight from the mouth of God. THAT is God talking to you. Even as important as if you heard his voice speaking aloud personally just to you. Remember Moses? We should say , " Yes Lord!" each time we read His Word.
  • SIS Martin on 2 Timothy 3 - 11 years ago
The word of GOD is true we're living in last days.Persecution on the jobs and every where he's coming sooner than people think. Paul left a good example.
  • Neil on 2 Timothy 3 - 11 years ago
Paul warned us about things to come before they happen, and they are happening now. These are “the perilous times in the last days” that we humans are seeing before our eyes; human characters as clearly stated in 2 Timothy 3:2-5. Praise be to God in Jesus Christ that I'm being reminded continually to be vigilant not to be within this category. May God bless those who labor to reach the unreachable.
  • Ifeanyi on 2 Timothy 3 - 11 years ago
2 Timothy 3 really depicts the time we are in. The days of evil, when lesbianism and homosexuality is a norm in the society, imagine people raising their heads high that they are lesbians or homosexuals, that’s terrible. The love of money is very high, the language people are hearing this days is “money” and they can do anything for it. May God help us to escape these evil days.
  • Omenazu Jackson on 2 Timothy 3 - 11 years ago
Paul’s warning to Timothy is a warning to us today, because men have rebelled against God to the extent that we are now agitating for. Same sex marriage and some churches are giving approval to it. Perilous times are here with us, the level of wickedness is high, brutality is now a way of living, persecution of the innocent is now a norm, no wonder more innocent ones are in prison all over the world. Deception is now a virtue not a vice. Our love for money is more than the love for God. Murder is no longer a crime but defensive application, children are now questioning their parents’ authority over them .This is time for total vigilance by all lovers of Christ Jesus, holding on to faith, constantly seeking to hear the divine voice of the holy spirit.
  • Timothy Wayne George on 2 Timothy 3 - 12 years ago
Paul is instructing his spiritual son in the ministry, Timothy, that he will endure strong persecutions, and that in the last days, perilous times will come. What we are seeing are the birth pains that Jesus talked about in the Matthew 24; when the Apostles asked what will be the sign of the Kingdom. All of the synoptic gospels contain this discussion. So Paul wants Timothy to know that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness, so the man of God can be perfect, thoroughly ready for every good work. So we can be sure that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and it can be trusted to get us through difficult days. So pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you as you read it so that you may comfort others.
  • David on 2 Timothy 3 - 12 years ago
Paul is talking about future born again believers, looks familiar.
