In response of affirmation to Evangelist Chatauna Robinson 's Acts Chapter 1 comment on 9 12 2014, 9 03am.. True religion Bible based Christianity is always based on Father worship. Any religion with "mother " worship is harlot worship.

In verses 13, 14, 15, you find all the people who were waiting in the upper room for the promise of the power of God which is the Holy Ghost. God had the writer write the names of those people. Why? The reason is so that no one would worship these individuals, especially Mary the mother of Jesus. God wanted everyone to know how important receiving the Holy Ghost was with the evidence of speaking with other tongues as the spirit of God give them utterance. Some people pray to Mary. Why? Mary cannot save anybody or forgive sin. You do not have to go to her to get to Jesus Christ who is both Lord and Christ. Mary had to get the Holy Ghost just like everybody else. She carried Jesus Christ who is both Lord and Christ for nine months, but she still had to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost in order to go to heaven.

My previous comments about disobeying I would like to rescind. Mt Olivet is outside the walls of Jerusalem. The command to stay and then the verse that they returned is cause for question. If they were commanded on the mount to stay then they obeyed by returning and receiving the Holy Ghost.

If only they had waited they would have received the promise, they disobeyed. I don 't know why people insist on putting doubt in other 's minds. I endured a lot of unnecessary things because of this. If anyone wants the holy ghost to speak in tongues u can. I was one that believed that if God doesn't decide to bless me with it I 'll never get it because of what I had been told by so many people. I have come to the realization that people say speaking in tongues doesn't matter because they haven 't or it is not beneficial to their ministry to teach this hint hint . God would not keep something a great as the holy spirit away from certain individuals just because. Baptized is a verb something has to take place. So when the bible says baptized by water and spirit it 's not to be taken lightly. There was a differentiation between water and spirit. Please don 't let nay sayers block what Jesus has for you.

De verse 8 simply talks about receiving power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you, so as to be a qualified candidate to preach the word of God to others. Thus, if anyone do not believe in the existence of the Holy Ghost I do not think dat fellow is qualified enough to preach to others about the gospel.

Is speaking in tongues necessary to show evidence that you have the holy ghost?

I don 't fully understand verse 18. Who is it they are referring to here, Judas? Can someone please explain?

God has a tendency to work slow and mankind has a tendency to want fast So congregations made up of believers in many different stages of healing. We must be careful judging our brother 's and sisters levels of healing. This is a reason I avoid most congregations. I do understand and expect all God 's promises to be fulfilled and often we remain sorely afflicted which God uses to test the faith of our brothers and sisters many of whom prove their faith to be even weaker than mine at times! Granted that is our current un perfect battling dual nature. Rather than continuing to live in fear I am comforted that might use me to test the faith of others. I believe that water baptism is a proxy, a symbol for the covenant of belief. The baptism with fire will purge out remaining sin when it comes, which it will. Until then be comforted in the knowledge that all of the apostles sinned after their water baptism and several of them several times! The church and the congregation constantly stumble on this one largely unintentional and unaware of the stumbling block placed in the path of their brothers and sisters. Nobody is perfect yet FAITH reminds us that in the future we will be. Could be today. Could be tomorrow. Could be 2000 years from now. Peace comes with the knowledge that it WILL be.

Jesus referred in John chapter 7 vs 37 38 39 about the coming baptism in the HS after His death He also mentioned it to Nicodemus in John CH 3 vs 5 In my humble opinion make a habit of praising the Lord when you are alone singing praising hymns thanking Him for what He has done in your life But praising is the key while working driving Remember it s a gift which you are entitled to receive after being baptized in water so demand it continuously praise Him continuously Don t ever take out of your mind that I even demanded it in my sleep and suddenly the blessing of praying in tongues will come Tell the Lord boldly that you will not stop until you receive it and you will I will pray for you too Be blessed

IN verse 8 this is what happens when someone gets the Holy Ghost, "ye shall be witnesses unto me ". The Holy Ghost will glorify Jesus ( Jn 16:14 ), not brag on himself and use a sinner to pray in publick to be seen of men ( Matt 6:5).

People should prayerfully study the word of God and get the right interprtation from the Holy Ghost so as not to add nor subtract from it and incure the wrath of God. How can that person said that the prayer meeting that the apostles had before the Holy Ghost came they used rossory? I was once a catholic. I want you to know that everything they do there is base on the tradition of man. Therefore my friend, repent and believe on Jesus. The Mary catholic worship is a very strong religious spirit. Mary the mother of Jesus did not teach people to disobey her creator - Jesus. In the wedding in Cana, she told her disciples "Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it ". Act 2:5.
