the law and the prophets was until john the baptist after that we had the very person of the messiah who in him dwell the trinity father son ( being 1SHUA him self) and Holy Spirit of the Living God on him the Messiah at the baptism by John
remember Jesus declared With his King's word to the Jews who inquired of him, about the greater commandments He answered Love God (of cause the living God of Abraham ) above all things (all things is exactly that:all things) and you neighbor (fellowman woman) as thy self
in these two commandments (no suggestions) but commandments, hangs all the law and the prophets!
who is a prophet in the old covenant?'' the ones who talked whit God, and told the people what God said to then
now we are all prophets; remember Mouses which had-that all his people the six million he had whit him in the desert, all would be prophets
now Jesus made us all prophets because we professed that Jesus is risen from the dead, we prophesy, (say) that he forgive us all, we say that he is the way the truth and the life; so mani positive points of assurance in his word, that we all are prophets, who talk about him, and we all can, and have dreams and visions, so we ARE THE SONS OF THE KING OF THE UNIVERSE, WE ARE JOIN HER WHIT HIM, WE HAVE THE wealthy OF Israel (WHAT GREAT WELT is there, than TO BE CO ER WITH THE MOSTLY HIGH GOD SON?
CONSIDER PLEASE BE IN FIRE FOR THE TRUTH, Jesus is truth)READ THE BIBLE WHIT AN INVESTIGATING MIND
    JRB LOVE YOU ALL1

to fear the Lord is the sanguining of windows, to obey them must be the ultimate goal, since Jesus (Ishua) was obedient until the death of the cross, that was obedience far beyond not to eat of a forbidden fruit, that was public torture and execution, yet he deed interceded for us all from that terrible pain full situation, right?
now does he care what we eat or eat not, only what we do whit our mouth what we speak out of our mouth is the only think that contaminate the human soul!
so eat or eat not make no difference salvation is a gift of God, nothing we can do about it, when we receive the knowledge of Jesus, we will follow him to victory, eternal salvation of our soul, and that is a gift of the living God of Abraham, because is God who draw us to Christ. and He loved us wile we are still in sins! everyone has sinned and disconnected of the glory of God, right?
    love jrb.
Luke 7 verse48 and He said unto Her Thy sins are forgiven---and on verse 50 ..........Thy faith saved thee; go in peace

it is hard to let go of the tradition
but Jesus said to Peter kill and eat!
not so Lord nothing unclean entered i to my mouth..
the Lord Jesus of Nazareth Said to him, WHAT I MADE C Lean do not call CO-MOM et..
also if one eat not another eat none sin because salvation is trough the Blood of Jesus of Nazareth and nothing else save a man but His Holy Divine Blood
please look at Wyatt archeological research about the blood and that is alright<

This is a case of instruction, Jesus tells the apostlle what to do, testing their obedience once again, making them total witiness of his commands, because He needed some one to carry His words to the people, that after He ascencded back into heaven.

Paul speaks of eating anything one wishes to eat. There is no judgment on this. Casting lots would not appear to be any type of gambling in this sense. It's not my belief this verse of scripture whereby the Holy Spirit is soon to visit would start out with the respondents committing the sin of gambling for decisions on such matters.

Lee, I would not want to promote the church in that day as a business. Today, unfortunately it can be. I don't consider what they were doing here in this chapter as "gambling". I think they were making a hard decision, simple. They felt the two were the same in merit and deserving of this empty post. Casting lots was merely a decision maker. As far as the other part about your Jewish friend and the pork; I am happy that he is a Christian, but being raised a Jew there are certain things that he may keep too. As long as he believes in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, the rest isn't that important. Would you look at a gentile Christian friend of yours who may be a vegetarian in that same light? Probably not, but it really is no different. Just my opinion on it all.

This not to promote confusion But so many people are against the casting of lots They say it is a form of gambling but to me any business is a gamble and is gambling wrong if we use it to promote our well-being and others also I know the bible talks about access to many things but does not totally condemn many things we do today For instance I had a Jewish Rabbi friend who was a Christian He could not draw himself to eat of Pork Lets No Judge but I would like some comments on the subject
