chapter 25 26 peter show himself humble to cornilus he never treat him as a small peason but humble so let us show homble to each other not allwayz filing too big to others
In the last part of verse 43 Peter preaches "That through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive REMISSION OF SINS. " Similar words are also found in Acts 2 38, where Peter preaches to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the REMISSION OF SINS. Could Peter be preaching two different ways of receiving remission of sins? Please notice that in Acts 10 43 it says through his name whosoever believes receives remission of sins. I believe that through his name in verse 43 is referring to baptism in the name of Jesus. Please also notice that the gentiles received the Holy Spirit and was baptized in the name of the Lord which of course is the name of Jesus. In Acts 2 38 Peter preached repent be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 2 38 and the gentile conversion in Acts 10 are in perfect agreement.
We thanks amighty God,for his son which he inugurated with holy ghost and power,to do good to men, also to set men free from the oppression of that enemies.
Acts 10 for me is saying that every tribe and nation may receive the gift of Christ. That our father is king over all creation and his only begotten son came to save us all. It also lends us to not judge one by their race or nationality to except all who claim Jesus as his or her savior in this we must include the church and never feel as though one is better than the other but cling to the word of God for salvation is in faith. The sheet and it's four corners covering the earth is the purity of Jesus covering the earth in his sacrifice cleaning all sins if ask in faith and reverence, showing Peter that even a centurion is cleansed by the love of Christ. In this meeting by obeying the spirit both Peter and the Centurion teach us that our Savior will lead us to meet those not of our immediate flock of which we must treat with the respect of Christ, far be it we snub our nose and miss the magic of where two that gather he is in the midst. The Pentecostal, Catholic, and Baptist Christian to mention only a few must greet each other with the love of Christ for all are covered by the sheet and all may take of the flesh if truly they love Jesus Christ.
Many have created enemies in order to define themselves, boldly judging those Jesus is not judging, quick to proclaim uncleanness in others, especially those deemed unclean by popular opinion.
God is good all the time. When I was a little boy, I used to go to church with my mother and me and my two sisters and cousin sang, but never did have knowledge of the Holy Ghost; That was when I was under ten. I grew up lost, in a very bad city in Michigan named Flint. When I grew up still lost and became a grown man, I was led off to another state in a city named Fort Wayne, there I found out the truth attending into a Pentecostal church and received the one true baptism of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. Now I have many testimonies of what the Lord has done for me. The truth does set one free. I am a Gentile also and has witnessed the power of Jesus. I Thank the Lord for changing my life.
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Amen Richard It is through His name(Jesus) Acts 10:43) in baptism( Acts 2:38) that the blood is applied ( HEBREWS 9:22) which is required for remission of sins.Thank God for the blood!
verse 43. I believe that through his name is referring to baptism in the name of Jesus. Notice that the word remission is used as it is in Acts 2:38. They were imeadiatly baptized in the name of the Lord. The Lord's name of course is Jesus. verse 48
Thank you. If Jesus in Glory commanded the disciples to now go to all the world (including Gentiles) and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, why do they change the command and/or plan and shake hands with Paul in Gal ch2 and send him to the Gentiles and they are only going to go to the Jews? Paul does not preach the Kingdom gospel but preaches only Christ Crucified, ( I Cor 1:23) not the Lord. (And never knew Jesus in His earthly ministry)If we Gentiles are saved by the shed blood and that he died for our sins, why doesn't Peter mention any of that to the House of Cornelius in Acts ch10 ? Only Paul is a minister to the Gentiles. ( Romans 15:16) Romans 16:25, Gal 1:16, Gal 2:2, Gal 2:8, Ephesins 3:1-10 and more I'm sure. Thank you
Acts 10 is the first account of a " Gentile" who accepted the Gospel, most every one will agree with that fact. Notice, the gospel message was preached the SAME to Cornelius as in Acts 2.
In verse 17 it says, "Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean". Later in the chapter the meaning of the trance is explained in verse 28 where Peter says, "And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean." The meaning of his trance has nothing to do with food, rather his command to go to the gentiles, and that God had purified or cleaned the gentiles. Yes, praise God now a gentile like myself (Not of Jewish decent.) can be cleansed and accepted or adopted into the family of God by accepting Jesus Christ. Have you been adopted into Gods family. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior. If you have then you too are cleansed.
In response to your question concerning when did God change the "Levitical Laws" concerning "unclean animals" and about "Jesus never eating that which was unclean...".
It is my understanding that the "Levitcal Law" (i.e. the covenant of the law) was "wiped out" by "Jesus' sacrifice on the cross...".
So that "Jesus" was the "final sacrafise" that perfected the law... and ALSO created a "New Covenent of redemtion by faith"... or, salvation by belief in crucifying, burial, and (most important...) Christ's raising from the dead ... as he said he would.
Again... the "Levitical Law" was (totally) ended by "Jesus" who was sent by God (originally) specifically to the nation of Israel
"This vision had nothing to do with meat."
It is only because of Jesus's righteousness and they crucified him without just cause
Acts 10, 43
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
The prophets giving Jesus witness declaring his righteousness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
We will never be saved by simply being baptized in the name of Jesus, we must believe in his sacrifice,
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Faith in his blood and declaring his righteousness

Jesus himself spoke and gave the instructions
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
What am I to withstand God?
I dare not call Jesus a liar and say it is not so,
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
