Part 1 Those of you who get your plan of salvation out of Acts 2, be careful to rightly divide your Bible. The literal Kingdom is still being offered to the Jews until the rejection in Acts 7. Why dont you sell all you have like they did in vs 43 and 44? They were expecting the literal Kingdom to be set up see Acts 1 verse 6.
  • Stephen on Acts 2:42 - 11 years ago
Jesus spoke with his Apostles 40 day, after he rose from the dead, concerning the kingdom of God.After jesus went back to Heaven,he gave instructions to the Apostles through the Holy Ghost.Peter said,we have preached the gospel unto you, with the Holy Ghost sent down fron Heaven.

Hello Dewey Jones I am very glad to hear that you know that there is one God that operates in three functions. It is a mystery to many but God is one being, 1 Timothy 3 16. In Jesus Christ dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Praise be to Jesus Christ who is both our Lord and Savior.

Hello Karen, I was about to close my iPad when I saw your post. I thing and believe the Spirit of God, or Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost are one and the same. Just as the Father, Son, and Ghost are the same God having three different functions. All three are one. The Word and Person of God. We know from the Bible that the Holy Ghost only came on men in the Old Testament like He shoke Sansome but after Jesus resurrection at the day of Pentercost God Spirit began to dwell inside men just as He did Jesus.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Karen Praise the Lord. Well it is true the Spirit of the Lord God and the Holy Ghost is one in the same spirit. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God. Ezekiel 36 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statues, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. On the day of Pentecost and forward God did just that. Acts 2 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Ephesians 1 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. This scripture in Ephesians is talking about the Holy Ghost. Now this next scripture is dealing with the church of God that is already saved, 1 Corinthians 3 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
  • Karen on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Please clarify this for me. I believe strongly in acts 2 38. I can 't get my congregation to see that the holy ghost and holy spirit is different. The holy ghost is god 's spirit that he sent down on the day of Pentecost and the holy spirit is god himself. agree?
  • Minnie on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
I love this Chapter. God loved us so much that he sent his son for life and for death. When you start sharing the love of someone you never seen and know he died and brought back too life and left again to leave us his spirit. Hallaylugha there is no other Love like it. Born to die

Part 2 of 2 So tell me who was in the beginning? Who made the World? Who did not receive who? Who came in the flesh? The answer to all these questions is Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 3 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles believed on in the world, received up into glory . If I can say it like this, the scripture states it is a mystery that this took place, but it still took place. God came in the flesh. Who preached to the Gentiles? Who was received up into glory? The answer is Jesus Christ. AMEN.

Part 1 of 2 Hello James In the Old Testament God had many names and he appeared in many ways unto man. However, his true form no man could look upon him and live. God said it out of his own mouth, Exodus 33 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face for there shall no man see me, and live . This is why he came in the form of Jesus Christ. He then sent back the Holy Ghost in his name. Then John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . Verse 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not . Verse 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not . Verse 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth .
  • James on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Oneness theology teaches that God was in the mode of the Father in the Old Testament. God was seen in the OT not as a vision or a dream or an angel in the following verses Exo. 6 2 3 Gen. 19 24 Num. 12 6 8 . But, Jesus said no one has seen the Father John 6 46 . If they were seeing God Almighty Exo. 6 2 3 but it wasn 't the Father, then who was it?
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 5 of 5 Peter was the key apostle. He denied Christ, you know the story. He did not have the power to stand when adversity came his way. His flesh got in the way and he became weak. It was not until he was filled with the Holy Ghost that he was able to stand boldly on the day of Pentecost and declare who Jesus Christ was. This is why he gave them the answer Acts 2 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord, and Christ . We can talk about the oneness of God all day. However, it is important that you get saved if you are not saved. Stay saved if you are saved. Hope and pray that you make it into Heaven. This is why you must do as Acts 2 38 tell us in order to be saved. Please read over in Acts 2 where I made extensive comments on this subject.

Part 4 of 5 In John 14 8 to 10, Jesus acknowledges he is the Father. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you and yet has thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works . The flesh is a house in which the spirit and soul resides. In 11 Corinthians 5 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation .
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 2 of 5 Jesus Christ has not lied. Satan is the father of lies. The fleshly body of Jesus Christ acknowledges the deity within. Jesus stated himself in John 10 30 I and my father are one . The scriptures clearly states that the God that made everything from the beginning, the creation, came in a fleshly body and dwelt among us. It clearly states that the God that said in the Old Testament to Moses, tell the people I AM have sent you is the same God that told the Jews that he was the I AM in the New Testament. This is why the Jews got so angry with Jesus Christ because he declared his divinity and they did not accept it, like so many today.

I know the evangelist doesnt believe in the Tri Unity of God, Three in one and one in three and the one in the middle died for me, and the words from her posts eat as doth a canker. So surely the evangelist believes that Jesus was and is sinless. If so explain how HE said in John 5 37 that "the Father Himself which hath sent me, hath born witness of me. Now in the law it says in Deut. 17 6 and 19 15 At the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. This fact is also confirmed in John 8 16 17and vs 54 also in 2 Cor 13 1. So if Jesus is only one person, both as, the Father and the Son, He would be deceiving us and lying, thereby breaking the Law and sinning. If He is the Father then there is only one witness to His Diety. What He is saying is that He is one individual and the Father is another, making two witnesses. One God manifested in three persons. If the evangelist 's position is correct, then Jesus is a sinner and could not have died for your sins and mine and we are of all men most miserable.

Hello Janice Gordon I am glad to know that you are researching. However, the scriptures are true. 1 John 5 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one . Notice the very last part of this scripture it states that all three are one being. There are no three separate beings in which to worship. All three are one. In Colossians 2 9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily . It does not say that Jesus Christ is a being in the Godhead. This is stating that within Jesus Christ being is the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

This is a good answer but , still not very clear if that is what is meant.. Still investigating. Thank You janice
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
In the end there is no three beings in which you need to call on for help. All you have to call on is his name Jesus Christ because he is God manifested in the flesh. The Holy Ghost was sent back in his name. Therefore, the name of the Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Miguel Let me understand when you are talking about trinity are you talking about three separate beings or do you believe that Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh? Because at the end of the scripture you quoted it states that all three are one. The same author that wrote Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh in John Chapter 1 is the same author who wrote these three books, 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John.

If you have followed Acts 2 38 and you continue to live saved then according to the Word you will be caught up in the rapture. However, if you do not have it like the Bible states then you are not saved. God throughout the Dispensations of the Bible has always had one way for salvation. We are currently living under the Dispensation of Grace which is the 6th Dispensation. The sinner pray does not save you alone. If you ask God to come into your heart and you do not follow through with Acts 2 38 then you are not saved. You die in your sin. You have to Repent, and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and if you truly have repented God will fill you with the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance. These are not my words but the Word of God. These are truly the last days. How many we have left I do not know, but what I do know is that if you do not have it like the Bible says you will not go up. . I hope and pray that if anyone is not saved that they will get saved and those that are saved will stay saved. For those of you that believe in the Trinity that there are three Gods in the godhead, I will continue to teach and preach that there is just one God and his name is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh AMEN.

Hello Joe, Let me clarify something. When I say that there are a lot of churches out here but they are not teaching the truth, I mean concerning true salvation according to Acts 2 38. The oneness of God as found in John Chapter 1 and if I can say it like this witnessed by 1 Timothy 3 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory .
  • MockingBird on Acts 2:21 - 11 years ago
This is an on going thing. It is perpetual . Praise God I can call on the name of the Lord and be saved from what I need to be delivered from . This is faith in the living God Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus came That He died and that He rose from the dead Therefore I am saved . He is seated at the right hand of the Father making intersession for me. Praise God forever more.
  • Miguel on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
I believe in the Trinity. 1 John 5 7 For there are THREE that bear record in heaven, the FATHER, the WORD, and the HOLY GHOST and these three are one. God sent His Son, Jesus, through the Holy Ghost to be incarnated in the flesh. After His crucifixion, Jesus returned to sit on the right hand of God. Jesus then sent us the promise of the Comforter Holy Ghost from His Father, to be a witness of Jesus John 15 26 , who died to save us from sin. It is a very dangerous thing to deny there is a Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. I sincerely pray for the Oneness people. Our goal should not be bent on converting other Christians, but sinners to Christianity. One day God will send His Son to take His children home, and I want to have done my part to have helped others make it to Heaven.

  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 5 of 5 You have to keep this flesh under subjection of the Lord. You have to pray and ask God to help you with lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. Once again even though we are made up of three parts body, soul, and spirit we are still one being. There is not three of me. I am one being. In my body houses my soul and the spirit of God, which is the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ being both Lord and Christ was made up of body, soul, and spirit. He was much man. He ate, slept, and was tempted as we are. As God he was reconciling the world unto himself. In 2 Corinthians 5 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation . In the end, you cannot dismiss John Chapter one and the contents therein.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 4 of 5 This flesh will not hinder the soul or the spirit at all. The flesh will die but the soul will live on forever, either in hell or in heaven. In Galatians 5 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh and these are contrary the one to the other so that ye cannot do the things that ye would . Galatians 6 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting . The flesh and body is always at war with one another. This is why Paul stated he die daily.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 3 of 5 A person is made up of body, soul, and spirit. In 1 Thessalonians 5 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ . But a person is still just the one individual. In that one individual dwells all three facets of his being. So then the God we serve cannot make himself like this as well? The flesh cried out to the Deity. See this flesh that we look at every day in the mirror is not going to Heaven, but the soul that inhabits this body is going if they have followed Acts 2 38 or during the tribulation get their head chopped off. The flesh does not want to go through persecution or pain of any kind. We as human beings we do not even want to get a cold if we can help it.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 2 of 5 You know how it states out of the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. 2 Corinthians 13 1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established . Well if you choose not to believe John s writing when he states the Jesus is God manifested in the flesh, then perhaps you will believe Timothy. 1 Timothy 3 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory . I have been writing about the oneness under Genesis, John 1 and 14 , and Acts please find my comments and read them. I answered every question asked me, I believe.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 1 of 5 Hello Jacob If we can agree that the church began in the book of Acts and that the Bible does not lie then we have a foundation in which to build on. John 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Verse 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. Verse 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. You have to ask yourself, Who was in the world? The answer is Jesus Christ. Who was made flesh and dwelt among us? The answer is Jesus Christ. The Word was God and the Word was made flesh. Who is this Word? The answer is Jesus Christ. Who made the world? Genesis 1 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. God and Jesus Christ is one in the same.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Joe Technically yes you can say that. Mary, the mother of Jesus was in that upper room as well. The reason why I stated that the church began on the Day of Pentecost is because this is when the Holy Ghost appeared unto them and sat upon each of them in that upper room. They were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues as the spirit of God give them utterance. The true church of God is made up of individuals who have followed Acts 2 38. See there are a lot of churches out here, but not all of them believe in Acts 2 38 therefore, they are not teaching the truth. Unless you have Acts 2 38 you are not in the true church of God. 1 Corinthians 6 19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? Remember that the scriptures are written to those who are saved. What the scriptures stress to the sinner is to get saved according to Acts 2 38 and stay saved.
  • Joe on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
The Church did not begin on the day of Pentecost..It was already in existence and had 120 members .. see Acts 1 15 ..
