Hello, my question is why does Esther fear death and what is this passage trying to say? I am studying a book and it references "And laid away her glorious apparel, and put on the garments of anguish and mourning: and instead of precious ointments, she covered her head with ashes and dung, and she humbled her body greatly, and all the places of her joy she filled with her torn hair"

I love this prayer of Esther. We are discussing prayer in our WMU group and this will be great to add to our discussions.
