I find it amazing, in the scriptures we can experience a full literary picture by the details.
The Bible is called "A Living Word" by some believers; I believe it's because we can always receive more wisdom, direction, & insight, year by year through reading again & again, study & researching the Bible's pages, stories & scritures.
You ask about 2Timothy 4:13, please see 2Timothy 4:21,22,
Note 2Timothy 4:16,17,
The emphasis seems to be, needing his cloak before winter, because he was imprisoned, left in the mercy of men
What's beautiful to me is he says "especially the parchments", that's most possibly our scriptures, by their service, faithfulness, determination & dedication. I've even considered how difficult it was in that time to find & obtain parchment.
2Corinthians 2:12, "Carpus" might have been that "open door"
Acts 16 & Acts 20, mention also the place called Troas, it may have been during the days they were there, in Troas,
Please notice; Acts 20:13,22,23,25,37,38,
See also 2Timothy 2:1,3,9,11,
We can just make assumption, did Paul leave it there, because he didn't think he'd make it to winter?
Please note: The website now has a Concordance included. If you click on the verse= it goes to another page. At the bottom of the page, it has definition, translation & the Concordance number for specific word translated, you can further research greek & other original translation.
Hopefully these are helpful in your study.
Philemon 1:9,10,22,23, Philippians 1:7,12,13,14,15, here Paul encourages others while in "bonds" , even saying it gives others boldness & confidence to speak the gospel without fear, resulting from Paul's example. Note: Philippians 1:18,20,21,28,29,30, 2Timothy 2:1,2,3,9,10,11,12,
Ephesians 6:10-24, Colossians 4:18,
Acts 20:22-25, Acts 20:37-38,
Please read the following chapters: Acts 24, Paul is accused of sedition Acts 24:5, Acts 26, Acts 27, Acts 28,
Jeremiah 12:15, Jeremiah 16:15, Jeremiah 24:5,6, Jeremiah 30,
Hopefully these are helpful in trying to answer your question. If you're searching something else, ask & hopefully we/I can help you
Please consider reflecting on 1 Peter 5:7, Philippians 4:12-13, Jeremiah 29:11-13, 1 Chronicles 4:10.
You quoted Ephesians 2:3. " we were by nature children of wrath'' (before we believed in Jesus). What has changed and we are no longer children of wrath? Has our nature changed? Have we become sinless beings, or that we still sin but we now have the Blood of Christ available to us for forgiveness so we don't get judged by God for the sins we commit? I think the latter is true.
When we were born again has our nature changed? Although Jesus said to Nicodemus that noone knows how this happens, we know that it is something that the Spirit of God does.
But again practically have we become sinless? I don't think so. We still have a tendency to sin ie if I piss you off you will be angry and upset. It is easier for men to get ungry rather than staying calm, peaceful. The tendency to sin still exists in us, that is it is easier for men to sin rather that not to sin. Is it the same with God? James writes in his epistle James 1:13 "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man" So God can not be tempted like people. God doesn't fight against sin, He just cannot do sins, His nature is untempered. But this not the case with people.
Why has God gave to us all those promises and what does it mean that we are partakers of divine nature? Partakers means that we are in communion with the Holly Spirit, our nature doesn't change but we are dressed with God's strength and grace to avoid sinning, but still we may sin and we see that in our everyday life, don't we? If all, but all, people fail and return to sin that means we are all failing to stay in faith? All people, I mean believers, are failures? There is nobody who achieved not to sin? No exception at all? Surely then something else happens.
My opinion is then that transformation and conversion has to do with our character not our nature.
I don't claim I am right about it but this is how I see it.

In the west, we can be blinkered to the wider picture.

Rev 2:10 "stay faithful until death and I will give you the crown of righteousness/ life". If I don't stay faithful will I get that crown?
As those verses state one has to hold, to fight the good fight, to finish the course, to keep the faith, to be faithful until death, to overcome... in order to get the crown that God will offer him. We have to stay on course and finish our lives being on course in order to be accepted to enter the Kingdom of God in Heaven. If we get back to our previous sinful lives, if we keep being disobedient to God, on that day we will hear Jesus telling us that He doesn't know us. Jesus doesn't know sinners. They are not familiar to Him, they don't belong to His family, they couldn't be His brothers and sisters, they are strangers to Him. The names of those that will not enter Heaven will be forgotten in eternity, like that of the rich man's in the story with Lazarus.
The crown that Paul is talking about, in ancient times was the price for winning a game in sporting events. It was made of olive oil leafs, it was like the gold metal nowadays. But one had to finish the ending line to get it. For Jeaus everybody who finishes that race is a first winner. Lets keep running and God will provide us with His grace to become winners in life.
