Dear John, prayer is HUGE! Ask God to lead you to what He wants you to do for Him, and do as He asks. Create a prayer list of people who need salvation, restoration, healing, relief from pain, those who have lost loved ones, your country, Ukraine, Israel, Missionaries, and your enemies. You get the idea. You'll be surprised what happens, and how it will change you forever.

    God bless you!

How do you know she wasn't baptized, she truly adored JESUS and would of fallowed HIS teachings where HE went to John the Baptist himself and was baptized.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Is 28:19 not a commandment of CHRIST?

Long subject but will try to condense as much as possible: It is sad to this day churches teach little kids that eating an apple caused sin when the word apple is not even in the whole of Genesis. Heb-ets=fruit trees was commanded by GOD good to eat.

Gen 3:3 Hebrew =(fruit) Noun masculine=this particular instance it leads to the seed of Satan; 2 Corinthians 11:3 beguile translated-wholly seduced. Hebrew verb: (touch) = ; is a primitive root meaning to lie with a woman; fruit of the womb is the impregnation of the seed Gen 3:6 Serpent was, is most beautiful of all GODS creations that Eve nor even Adam could resist. Serpent ( Rev 12:9) more subtle than all GODS creation, which HE made the full package of beauty, might and cunningness; Eze 28:13 He was called the glistening 1 because of his shining glory. He was wise and cunning and led Eve down a dark past where the tares would be planted in the world; having twins Cain and Abel 1 bad and 1 good. Gen 4:2 (again) =Heb. yasaph = continue, she continued in labor; Cain and Abel were fraternal twins by 2 different fathers Satan and Adam both coming to the age of accountability at same time Heb 11:4. Joh 8:44 Matthew 13:27-29. Genesis 3:10 They only knew they were naked after the act of seduction; only then did they realize their private parts and felt ashamed. They didn't use leaves to cover their mouths but their privates, fig leaves at that, which leads us to learn the parable of the fig tree, Gen 3:7; Enemy of GOD sewed the seed, Satan's seed, Rev 12:9. Genesis 3:15 1st prophecy of the bible where the sons of Satan bruised CHRIST heels on the cross but CHRIST will bruise his head. Between Satan seed (tares/Kennites=sons of Cain) and the man Adams seed where the fallen angels left their 1st habitation to seduce the daughters of eth haw adam in a second attempt to corrupt the seed line from which CHRIST from umbilical cord to umbilical cord would come..

Dear "Susan" am so sorry to read about how life has become for you both. Before reading your post, i read a word from Matthew 5:31-32.

Unfortunately, your husband is gripped by a demon, maybe several. Your real man is in there somewhere, you know. So do not think about leaving him yet. There are help on the way. Jesus is not far away. Jesus is in your heart is He not?

You get to bring in some believing Christian people who are simply speaking out against this Rebellious spirit. Throw it out from him in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can do this with their and your help. You yourself can prepare your courage to and speak against the spirit that dwells in your husband. It's not Jesus who drives your husband, you know. And you have the right to throw it out in the Holy name of Jesus. You have the authority to speak it out, the demon is ruining your life. What Jesus did at Calvary has given us an unparalleled purification in Jesus' work, we are purified in His blood. Remember that when you speak to the spirit of your husband.

Clean out the demon from their house, instantly! Good luck and let us never forget we need too be alert all. I sincerely hope that it works out for you. God bless u and yours in Jesus name, love u in Christ.

Hi my friend John, thank you for praying for me and everyone else as well. We pray for you, and the Holy Spirit sighs over us to the Lord night and day. Romans 8:26-27

To do an witness/ evangelistic deed for the Lord is to be out among the people, help, comfort and then i mean and help everyone, do not discriminate. Remember that it is the Lord who will reward you. All the love God has given you must work where you are. Where you, in consultation with the Lord, feel that you should be. And there you have the essence: You can do anything for the Lord. There is real love in it! So thank you Jesus Christ for enabling John to be in this service Lord, he will make a difference. Fill him with the Holy Spirit so that he will be able to, pray for the unsaved for salvation. To and free people from bonds and diseases. Let John also have a companion on the road so that they can alternate and do good in the service of the Lord.

God bless u and yours in Jesus Holy Name, love u in Christ. Matthew chapter 5 and 6

Hi Shellon. I'm unsure which period of David's reign you're thinking of, but 2 Samuel 5:9-13 indicates that his throne was in Jerusalem, and he called it "the city of David". Even the king of Tyre, hearing about the greatness of David, sent lumber & workers to build this house for him. So, one could safely assume that David & his large family lived here.

God doesn't need possessions as we understand it, 'having or owning things' that are necessary for our survival or happiness. In Psalm 50:10, God says: "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills." God owns all things He has created, even the special called-out people (first Israel, then those who've come to faith in Christ) & also that special city Jerusalem (Zion). Psalm 87:2-3 says, "The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God." According to this verse, Zion is synonymous with City of God, and it is a place that God loves. Zion is Jerusalem.

Zion is first mentioned in 2 Samuel 5:7. Zion was originally an ancient Jebusite fortress in the city of Jerusalem. After David's conquest of the fortress, Jerusalem became a possession of Israel. The royal palace was built there, and Zion/Jerusalem became the seat of power in Israel's kingdom. When Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem, the meaning of Zion included the temple area ( Psalm 2:6; Psalm 48:2,11,12; Psalm 132:13). Therefore, the prophecy of Jeremiah 31:6, "Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God."

Zion is also used in a spiritual sense in Scripture. In the Old Testament, Zion refers figuratively to Israel as the people of God ( Isaiah 60:14). In the New Testament, Zion refers to God's spiritual kingdom: Hebrews 12:22. Peter, quoting Isaiah 28:16, refers to Christ as the Cornerstone of Zion ( 1 Peter 2:6).

Mount Zion, as a geographical area, is now the focus of much dispute (mainly between Jews & Muslims). The Bible is clear that one day Zion will be the sole possession of the Lord Jesus, and Zion, both the nation and the city, will be restored. ( Isaiah 52:1; Isaiah 60:14). When Jesus returns to Earth, His rule will be from Jerusalem ( Zechariah 14:1-4; Luke 1:32,33). I hope you can see why Zion is so important & especially significant in God's Eyes as a special City of God (on Earth).

  • Chris - In Reply - 3 years ago
Julie. Just to add briefly to Giannis' very good reply; if we seem to find hypocrisy in the Bible, rather than immediately tarnish the Word of God with such a description, we must first ask, 'am I actually understanding the Word correctly in this instance?'.

Many of us here have spent much of our lives reading, studying & coming to grips with the Bible. Not everything is easy to understand & some things are downright disturbing. But when we are often given limited information, not understanding the times that people lived in, their govts, their problems, their persecutions, etc. etc., then we must approach the Word very carefully & prayerfully. You earlier asked about 'jealousy'. In my human mind, jealousy is an awful trait to have: it eats away within us & eventually destroys. But I hope we were able to see that 'jealousy' can also be a good thing, when its meaning is understood by its alternate definition.

Then we have the problem with Old Testament life under God to New Testament life (through Jesus' Sacrifice) under God. Both can be quite different, though essentially similar when 'obedience rather than sacrifice (works)' is required. Many in the OT had several wives whom they loved & cared for; imagine that happening today, not just with abiding with govt laws on marriage, but the man having to work twenty hours a day to support his growing family. So, it's always a good thing to read the Bible with an open mind & seeking the Holy Spirit's help in understanding it. And by what you're doing now, i.e. asking questions, must also be a good thing so as to learn what others have learned. We're not always accurate, but it will help you to re-examine that difficult verse or passage again & stay with it until you learn what God wants you to learn, rather than write it off as being erroneous. I've found that God's Word remains sure - it's my understanding that's likely to be wonky. May the Lord guide you daily.

Thanks everyone for the replies they help a lot. I only asked because I'm ashamed of things from my past and sometimes Satan gets in me head and says, "God won't forgive you for that" and it really gets to me but I see that despite the mistakes the people in the Bible made, God still loved them.

    My opinion, dear Susan?

God does not want us to be miserable. But also He cannot violate people's free will and choices. He doesn't force anybody. But he can, and will work in one to make him follow His way. But this sometimes takes time, (sometimes not), it depends on a man's heart. Some people are hard for God to work in them, it takes time for God to break that stony heart, others are easier to work. So it depends on your husband's heart on how long it will eventually take to be brought back. It may be soon or it may be very, very long. But sometimes God does some very drastic actions to correct things. Remember Saul. He knows the best way.

You must trust in God and keep praying for him, have patience and be sure that God will eventually bring him back.

Now whereas there is not anything you can do about that, you must have your eyes open not to let your money/possessions (if any is left) go away, The Word of God says to women to obey their husbands but "in Christ". That means in no sinful or inappropriate demands or situations. To obey doesn't mean that your voice should not be heard You are not a servant or a slave. As a human you must do all you can to face and get out of that situation, the rest is God's job to do. The answer to your problem is not a simple one, it is a complicated thing, can't be answered in a post. Isn't there a pastor, social worker or smd from the social services/state that you can talk to and get some help? Do not avoid social workers, if its possible to you, because they are not believers. They have experience and can give you good advice in how to handle things, just don't do anything sinful. This is my opinion but I would like others to comment on this as well.

I said the comment the person made was "food for thought" and I'm fairly sure I didn't say I believed it. I'm thinking if a person has a solid base in God's word, then there's no harm in reading or listening to other works.
  • Giannis - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Dear Julie

Would you let your husband go with other women because you just love him and want him to be happy? Would you call this 'healthy' love'? Of course not. God has emotions like people but not sinful ones, actually people were created by God in His image.

God is love, but God is justice as well, also truth. That means that nomatter how much love He has (He is), a lot of people will spend eternity in the lake of fire.. So His love is to be considered together with His justice and truth, not outside them.

God owns everything, He created everything including people, everything belongs to God even our existence and souls; we come from Him. He breathed inside Adam and made him alive. Without Him none of what we see would have come into existence. So they are all His.

Where do you see hypocrisy in the Bible, who are those who want to control others? The apostles? What for? All of them spent their lives in persecutions, lost everything they had including their lives. Some were crucified like Jesus, others got burned, others got beheaded, only John is said to die a natural death. So why want to control people? What for? For money, for glory, honour, possessions, what for? Not logical, is it?

You have many questions, like all of us have. But the criterion to believe Jesus and His Word(Bible) is not to have all your questions answered. Questions never end, after you have some answered, other will emerge. And God will eventually answer your questions with the way He knows it's the best, sometimes that takes time to be done. Stay in Jesus' feet and your life, present and future(eternity) wiil be blessed.

The following scripture is especially for you.

    2 Timothy 3:16-17

"All scripture (means the Bible) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works"

    God Bless You.

When husband and I were married 36 years ago, we were evenly yoked. Both Christians. We together had a large savings account and a beautiful house almost paid off. We always tithed and gave large sum offerings. He worked only 4 days a week and we had money, no lack. Until 5 years ago, he got himself intrigued with gambling with slot machines. He stopped paying the bills, house and car. He drained our savings account without my knowledge. Took money from my purse, that was disability money, due to my back. I was shocked when he said he was not going to work anymore, his days and nights were consumed with the casino. All this time I'm still the same person I was when we were married. Going to church, reading the Word, praying. My son had to pick me up for church since by now one of the cars were reposest and my husband didn't leave the car home for me for church or for anything. He became this person I didn't know or even like. Then eventually our house was foreclosed. I don't know what happened to him. He was always a saver but would always tithe and give offerings and if people were in need he would buy their groceries or gas. The question or comment I have is, since we are married but I don't agree with 100% of his decisions, is God making me suffer because of his lifestyle? I learned the hard way to not voice my opinion in any circumstances. So, as I sit lonely and so sad the way my life has turned out. I pray for him, that's all I can do. I still trust and believe Jesus has something better than this. We had such a great Christian life together until he met the slot machines. I don't like the person he has become. He's not the person who loved Jesus and would pray together with me as always before. Would God want me to be miserable in this life I'm living? I guess there's no choice. I'm still married to him and as his wife I must obey him and live an awful life. Any thoughts?? Thank you for listening.

    Hi John,

If you want to help someone volunteer at your local Senior Citizens Center or nursing home. Everyone will welcome you with open arms. The seniors are always willing to see a friendly face. They would graciously accept your companionship to talk or play cards. You will be blessed beyond measure for befriending the forgotten in nursing homes. That's my two cents regarding your concern. God Bless you John.
