I strongly disagree with you. If one is saved, one is born again. If one is born again his name is written in the book of life.

The new testament doesn't begin until Jesus dies on the cross. Jesus came for the Jews, not the gentiles, for the most part in Matthew, Mark Luke, and John, ( now John is different when he writes he has the gospels and Paul's epistles before him. What you are quoting was written to a temple attending, sabbath observing, pork abstaining, bearded Jew under the law. I'm not a Jew, are you?

If you want the doctrine for this age, read, Romans- Philemon.

Religion is what a man does to justify himself before God, salvation is what God gives a man who knows he can't justify himself.

You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

I don't want to argue, good luck working your way to heaven. I don't work to get saved, I don't work to stay saved, I work because I am saved.

My destination is fixed. I'm trusting nothing but the blood of Christ to get me to heaven.

    Matthew Chapter 10

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

    Luke,

I strongly disagree with you saying that Paul is telling the saved believers that they are going to heaven "no matter what". Paul is not saying this.

In the verse that you listed: Philippians 4:3 "And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life."

If it is as you say Paul and his fellow laborer's are destined for heaven no matter what - why are they laboring so hard? I'll tell you why they are laboring, they are struggling with everyday life, to live as sin free as possible and follow in Christs footsteps to assure that they actually do achieve the prize - Heaven!

If it is as you are relating here that all Christian's that believe that their name is in the book of life are going to heaven - no matter what - this is false doctrine, and for anyone to believe this, they we would have to ignore the entire gospel of Jesus Christ.

    Matthew 22:14

"For many are called, but few are chosen."

    Luke 13:24

"Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able."

    Matthew 7:14

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

    Matthew 5:20

"For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."

There are no free tickets to heaven, and it's never too late to change, read Jesus Christs Gospel found in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and Believe!

    Good Bless.

I don't know what to do. I messed up in a relationship with a guy I care a lot about. I have repented and apologized. He isn't talking to me. I really want God to touch his heart and to speak to him about reconciliation. I feel totally helpless and really need God to show up! Thank you!

My take on that is this. when you die your soul goes to be with the Lore, " to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Your body is in the ground, i believe since the body belongs to a saved person, it leaves first, the dead in Christ rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with them in the clouds.. I think the Lord want the bodies of the saved believers out of this world before the Antichrist takes over. I think he will put the molecules back together and match it back to the soul.
  • Luke - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 3 years ago
If you are truly saved, the bible way, you are born again spiritually from above, that can't be undone. You are a child of God no matter what.

Everything points to a grape. From a vine tree. " the pure blood of the grape" Mary said, they don't have any more wine, he said, woman what have I to do with thee, mine hour has not yet come, to shed his blood, "wine, blood, grape.

My story is when Satan tempted Eve, he popped a grape in his mouth, and said, see I'm still alive. If I would guess Adam and Eve had salt water running through their veins. Then Eve ate the grape, " pure blood of the grape" and now she had blood running through her veins, and she turned pink, the blushing race. Adam comes by and sees her and she's pink, he knew what happened. As Christ died for the church, Adam took the fruit and died for her. God would have given him a new wife.

Christ said, I will not henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until the day when I drink it new.

It shouldn't be in any KJV's the authorized version, unless maybe it is a very old bible.
  • Luke - In Reply - 3 years ago
Paul was a special apostle, by a post resurrection, Jesus Christ. "separated unto the gospel of God." Paul is "separated unto"

Most of what you hear today, is separated from something, like tv, smoking, drinking, dancing, beer, movies ( the things you've quit)

Unless you are separated to something, your separation from things, doesn't amount to anything.

A christian should be separated to something.

Lambs book of Life, when one gets saved, they are now born again. One of the many, many, many, things that happens is that your name gets written in the book of life.

Paul is telling the saved believers, in Philippians 4:3, fellow laborers whose names are written in the book of life. Your destined to Heaven no matter what. Glory to God, amen.

Lemme give ya my understanding of the 2 Men in 1 bed..As LUKE 17 : 34 Mentions... Matthew 13 tells us of the sower that wants to sow his precious seed in our hearts causing us to birth a new innerman which is the wheat...The H.G...A baby Christ that Child of Promise That is born in us by that good seed....But after the sower sows his precious seed in our hearts then comes Satan sowing an evil seed in our hearts which is the tare an evil seed...a baby Satan simply b/c Satan is the Father of the tares....Jesus told them that an enemy has done this let them grow together till the time of the harvest...Thus we become 2 ppl the wheat and the tares makes us 2 ppl....But this is happening to 1 Man who is bornagain of an incorruptible seed....

......Thats y Paul is saying when i wd do good evil is present with me...Paul was involved in a spritual war..He had become 2 ppl.

Romans 7 : 19...The good that i wd do i cannot do, but the evil i wd not do is what i do...With my mind i serve the law of God but with my flesh the law of sin,....O wretched man that i am...Paul had become 2 ppl spirtually speaking.

.....Thats y Jesus is saying there shall be 2 men in 1 bed....Thats the wheat and the tare in 1 man ...1 is gonna be taken and 1 is gona be left....Jesus said gather up the tares and burn them but gather the wheat in my barn...The Kingdom

.....Same thing with the 2 woman grinding at the mill, its just 1 woman that has been bornagain...But she becomes 2 ppl b/c of the wheat and the tares.....1 is gonna be taken to his Kingdom and 1 is gona be burnt....Gather up the tares in bundles and burn them.....But this passage is not about homosexuality as i hear so many preachers on T.V. Talk about....This passage is about Salvation via his good seed the words of the book that new Covenant....But Satan is gonna try to destroy the wheat the H.G. via his seed the tares. The Devil tries to kill the woman with Child in Rev 12 : 5

All verses of scripture have 3 applications, inspirational, historical, and doctrinal. Doctrinally today our truth comes from Romans-Phileman.
  • Luke - In Reply - 3 years ago
In Acts 2:38, Peter is preaching to the Jews, the nation of Israel that crucified, Peter told those Jews (no gentiles or Christians there) they all were Jews. Peter told them that they had crucified their Messiah, and they said, " What shall we do" he said, repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins." When Christ was dying on the cross the said, "father forgive them for they know not what they do.

So, because they were forgiven. If they believed what Peter had told them that they had crucified their messiah, then repent, and be baptized.

If you are a born again believer then you should be baptized. It pictures your death, with Christ your burial and resurrection. It is an outward profession of an inward confession.
  • Luke - In Reply on Psalms 34 - 3 years ago
Purgatory is not a bible word, KJV, no one in the bible calls Mary the mother of God, no one in the bible prays to Mary, the bible never said, Mary was the Queen of Heaven, sacrament is not a KJV bible word, Catholic is not a bible word, no where in either testament is there such a thing as baptizing a baby.
  • Luke - In Reply on John 19 - 3 years ago
Congrats on 19 years. Acts 2:31 speaking of Christ. " that his soul was not left in Hell, neither did his flesh see corruption. From the KJV bible.

Christ had to preach to the spirits in prison. Hell is a prison with bars. Those spirits I think were the fallen angels he cast into hell.

Matt 12:40 "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

Sheol is the name singular for grave. There is two compartments down there, Hell and Paradise/ Abraham's bosom. When one died before Christ died on the cross, one went to Hell or Abraham's bosom. Christ did not suffer in Hell, he suffered on the cross. However nobody could go to Heaven before Christ died on the cross, because the Lamb of God had not died and shed his blood to pay for sins. So Christ preaches to the spirits, goes next door to Paradise/Abraham's bosom and the souls were there resting, and now that the blood was shed.

Ephesians 4:8 " Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

    9) Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth.

So His soul fist goes to Hell , then next door and takes all the saved, led captivity and too all those saved to Heaven. No Abraham's bosom is empty for this age, but will be occupied again in the future.

    Dear Lynn,

Please hang in there sister. Your body is on loan from God and is His holy temple. Because you're here you can be 100% assured He has you on earth for a reason. God doesn't make mistakes. Consider your gifts he's blessed you with and what projects or missions He might have you use for His purposes. Can you post again to let us know how you're doing tomorrow?
  • Mark Valesano - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 5:11 - 3 years ago
ELB, thanks for your message. I stand by the phrase "doing our (my) best to follow Him every day". Following Jesus is not easy and won't be in this realm. Adam took care of that and you and I and all of mankind have been paying the price of sin ever since. That's why He asked in Luke 6, why call ye me Lord, Lord and do not the things I say? He then goes on to say those who hear my sayings and does them are like the man who built his house on the rock. Then there's Ananias in Acts 9 who was told to go pray for Saul/Paul that He might show him those things Paul must suffer for His name.

Finally, in Romans 7:14-25, Paul relates the 'battle' that happens every day in all of us. The spirit versus the flesh. Thank God I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. But I have to persevere and not wander off or go back to the former self prior to conversion as Demas did to Paul in 2 Tim. 4:10. You're right when you say it's not my strength or ability, but Jesus. I have to choose Him daily. Not to be born again, mind you, but determined to follow Him, no matter what. I don't want to be like those who left following Him as recorded in John 6:66. Thanks for your time...

    Gina,

Rev.19:10 . . . " The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." That's the acid test. The reason why this is, is because every born again Christian has in the Holy Spirit, and Jesus said in John 16:13 Hobeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself: but whotsoever he shall hear that he shall speak: and he will shew you things TO COME."

" The testimony of Jesus" is the spirit to fortell the future. The difference between a bible believing Christian and a professing Christian, here is the acid test. DO YOU KNOW FOR CERTAIN WHERE YOU ARE GOING WHEN YOU DIE? DO YOU KNOW FOR CERTAIN WHERE UNSAVED PEOPLE ARE GOING WHEN THEY DID? DO YOU KNOW FOR CERTAIN THE EVENTS THAT ARE GOING TO TAKE PLACE ON THIS EARTH IN THE FUTURE? If you are a born again Christian, you know! If you are a Catholic, a Jew, a Protestant, a Buddhist, a Mohammedan, a Taoist, Hindu, liberal, a modernist, neo-orthodox, Campbellite, Russellite, etc. you don't know for sure.

Discussions with true saints assure me that there are many people out there I still can trust.

I will continue to pray for all of you. Grow in grace. God bless you all.

Geographically, Heaven is the third Heaven, that is where the Lord is. Hell is located in the heart of the earth... I think it was Spurgeon who said, this life is the only Hell a Christen will ever know, and this life is the only Heaven an unsaved person will ever know.

Remember Jesus telling the story of the woman who gave two mites, and that was all she had, and the rich guy gave, but he didn't give all he had.

2 Corinthians 9:7 God loveth a cheerful giver.
