    Amen.

I see it that way aa well.

I believe When the Lord comes for the church then he deals with Israel the first fruit. "As a nation,'

I believe they will be driven to come to the Lord

"His way " I believe that is what Peter is saying here in Acts 15:11. 'But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ WE (SHALL) BE SAVED, EVEN AS THEY."

Also James elaborate on it in the same discussion. Acts 15:13-17. "And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

    (16) "AFTER THIS I WILL RETURN,: and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things."

You noticed verse 16? AFTER THIS. .After what? Hes done with the Gentiles. I believe Paul deals with this in Romans 11. Particularly Romans 11:11-36.

Also we know it's future, David's temple didn't exist in that day, nor does it exist today.

    God bless.

    Doug:

You said when we disobey God it is lack of faith.

When we disobey God it LACK of KNOWLEDGE.

You died on the cross with Christ.

Colossians 1:27 ..... this mystery ....Christ in you .......

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (Christ in you) that worketh IN YOU (you are Christ's body, but he is the LIFE) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

    John 14:6 ....I AM the LIFE .......

Since it's his life, it's his faith, since it's his faith, it's his works.

    Faith without works is dead.

But you have both, being you are THE BODY of Christ.

    Truth will set you free.

    God bless YOU!

    Amen S.

    Well spoken.

    1 John 2:12.

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you "FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE."

    Who's name SAKE? God.

    That speaks volumes!

John 3:18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

    Thanks and

    God bless

My understanding is that all sins are not the same. An example would be where Jesus makes a distinction between blasphemy against the Holy Ghost and other sins.

    Matthew 12:31

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

But one sin no matter how great or how small, leaves us guilty of breaking God's holy law and therefore all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. So we are all reliant on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

    Hey S Spencer,

I agree that our physical death ends any chance for our salvation and today is the accepted time for tomorrow we may be gone. When we die, what's inside will determine what we get, Isaiah 55:6. Revelation 22:11 along with verse 12 brings other scripture up to me, that you may not agree with.

Do you think it refers to the door being shut, at the end of the days of grace, the fulness of the Gentiles? I know it is not thought of much, but God does know when and who the last person will be saved. Those who have not accepted Jesus as their savior will no longer be able to find Him after he closes the door on salvation like God closed the door on the ark, Genesis 7:16 Luke 17:27.

He has warned us. The door will close someday. Whether it is upon our death or that He allows one hardened heart to remain hard or that He allows those to accept the delusion, 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12, the door to salvation will close. Matthew 7:13 - 14 Luke 13:24-25 John 10:9 Revelation 3:8.

    Thank you and God bless,

    RLW

No, it is not a sin to drink alcohol. We know that Paul advised Timothy to drink a little wine for his stomach's sake.

    1 Timothy 5:23 |

Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

And we know that Jesus changed the water into wine at the feast of Cana.

Moderation is required when drinking alcohol. We all know what can happen when a person drinks too much alcohol. Paul instructs us to stay away from drunkards.

    1 Corinthians 5:11

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Encouragement for any day...Salvation as it is in the Holy King James Bible:

There are many uncertainties in this life, but your soul's salvation does NOT need to be one of them. You can KNOW beyond any shadow of a doubt that you are saved and on your way to heaven. "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life" ( 1st John 5:13). We all know that we have to die, but we don't know when.

What must you do to be saved? You must repent and received the free gift of Grace of God by Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Read these verses below to help guide you along with path:

    John 14:6

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

You can't place your faith in a pastor/preacher/teacher, you can't place it in a movement and you most certainly can't place it in a church ministry (although not all have fallen away). You can only find truth and life (Salvation) in Christ Jesus. Whereby we hear this verse:

Acts 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

You cannot earn Salvation or get it by works. Many others use legalism as a way to add works to the simple message of Salvation. But there's not a work you can do to get saved. Christ fulfilled everything on the Cross.

    Titus 3:5

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"

    Ephesians Chapter 2

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

So knowing this...how do we get saved, I'll leave God's Word to speak above mine own:

    Romans 10:9

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

David, I feel so much compassion for you I know that that Lord God Almighty is able to help you and I'm praying for you. I know how miserable it is to not sleep. And it's detrimental to your health. I'm so glad you're giving us an opportunity to pray with you about this.

Lord, PLEASE begin to heal David. Let his sleep be sweet. Let him deep sleep. Remove every hinderance. Let the power of the Holy Ghost be heavy upon him at night to usher him into a blessed Holy Spirit sleep. Let heavenly rest flow through and permeate every cell and component of his being. I pray this in Jesus name because the Word says that our sleep should be sweet.

It does say he healed a few sick folk. We know people doubted and scripture tells us he won't grant requests if you ask God all the while doubting he will do it. The few sick folk who asked for healing for sure didn't doubt. Psalms tells us that God does whatever he pleases in heaven, on the earth and under the earth.

    Thank you for your response!

    Jesse.

Thank you much for your response! Your comment about performing miracles to demonstrate he is the Christ; and (the lack thereof because of the condition of their hearts) I have never heard that explained like this before. So, what you are saying is Christ did not perform many miracles "save healing a few" because, why demonstrate the power of God (which would be indicative of the Christ) when the people in their hearts doubted who he is because they could not get past the fact that they knew him and his family since he was a lad.

The prosperity guy saying he couldn't or was powerless to do the miracles because of their unbelief is wrong and the whole concept of why he did not do them is wrong or even the wrong approach! My argument that it's not that Christ could not do the miracles but rather he would not do the miracles due to their lack of faith. The whole base of the argument is invalid since we both are not viewing the text correctly. You are saying that Christ performed miracles to demonstrate he is the Christ and the power of God is with him. The people in his hometown did not believe in their hearts, Jesus could see their lack of faith in their hearts so save for healing a few sick folk......he just didn't bother to perform miracles because he knew it would not change their minds.

Thank you for responding and helping me with this text. I appreciate it.

    Phoenix,

Hopefully that book would have cleared that up. However, I think you'll find an amazing answer (plus, ones already posted) by just searching key word, "I am." Pretty amazing view of just reading all the "I am's" This is great for anyone to learn who God really is. Actually, this is a great tool (search feature) to learn where and how much is written on certain topics, words.

lol 24 pages of "I am." Mind-blowing and enlightening!

    Link

That link should answer your question and then some. Showed me something and I wasn't even looking.

    Blessings,

We should never be "first" concerned with what man says --what did/does God say about your marriage? That's all that truly matters Jeff. After all, Jesus is your judge --not man.

Sorry you lost a friendship, but they must have not been much of a friend. Jesus, has seen me through much worse and He's still here; still loving me, still blessing me, still disciplining me lol (that's a good thing).

As our country becomes more Pagen everyday by passing laws that defile God --Just b/c it's a law, doesn't make it right," or maybe it's not a law, it doesn't make it right. My point --God's law still rules us as Christians.

If you're struggling that much to find your answer in the Bible--maybe that's an answer in itself?

Revelations 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Jesus told all the churches that he knew their works. If God only saw the righteousness of Christ he could not correct us. 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. I believe that cleansing us from all sin is actual and covering us from sin implies that it is only imaginary. Our faith is counted(valued) for(as)righteousness. When we disobey God it is because our lack of faith. 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. I agree that we need to walk in truth.
  • Cindy - In Reply - 2 years ago
Dear Gabriel, The Bible says in 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Jesus's blood is sufficient to forgive all your sins. You need to forgive yourself and surrender your troubles to Him-- Matthew 11:29 "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." Take up your cross, deny yourself, throw off your own pain, and follow Him. Only then will you have peace.

Luke 9:23 "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."

    God Bless you!

Stealing a piece of bubble gum is not the same as murder: Even though through the blood of CHRIST we are no longer under the law, it was our school master to know right from wrong. We still do not commit murder, steal etc. There were different levels of crime and different levels of penance. You were to send a murder to GOD (capital punishment) if he murdered, he therefore wasn't able to be forgiven in the flesh. ( Numbers 35:30) There is also 1 unforgivable; Luke 12:10. The whole of Deuteronomy gives the degrees of such from a turtle dove to a bullock to appease for different levels. Just because we are no longer under the law doesn't mean we can commit them. There are abominable sins, civil sins, health sins, capital sins etc. GOD is judge and knows the heart and why, when, where a crime was committed and cannot be hidden. He knows if there was a chemical inbalance or if a person is just pure evil. Gods will be done!
  • Kevin - In Reply on James 2 - 2 years ago
    1 John 5:16

There are different degrees of sin, but all sin still needs covered by the blood. For without the shedding of (His Blood) there is no forgiveness of sin.

Sins of the flesh are greater than sins of the body for the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. If you are married, would your spouse be more forgiving if you look at another person in lust or if you actually committed adultery.

Either way the point is that sin leads to darkness and blind's a person vision. For the unbeliever sin can separate you from receiving God's forgiveness for God shall not always strive with man.

Shrek said it best to donkey. People are like onions, they have layers (of darkness). Only the Word (Christ) can penetrate thru the layers - nothing else. John 8:36 - If He sets you free - you are free indeed.

For the believer nothing even sin shall separate you from the love of God in Christ, no powers in this age or the age to come. But a person will have many troubles if they magnify sin over the magnification of God. Philippians 4:5

Do not be overcome with the things of this world be overcome with Christ! His mercy, His grace are endless. Be strong in the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us be conscious and deliberate in what we are pursuing! We are called to be Savior conscious! Be blessed!

Praise God and to Him be the Glory!
  • D W L on Luke 1 - 2 years ago
How can anyone tell Jesus he was wrong? There isn't time or space to write all there is to say about sin on this board but it won't enter into Gods heaven.

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, (and sin no more.)

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: (sin no more), lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins
