    Suze,

I know that you and some others share Alex's views. I also know for a fact that there are others that think as I do. I am not thinking or speaking for others nor am I assuming things I do not know. I believe that your chastisement of me is unwarranted. But I do respect your privilege to do so and to disagree with me.

Thank you GiGi; gracious as always. Universalism is a teaching that needs to be exposed & refuted at every level. The servants of the Lord should make no apology for calling it out.

    Ministry of Reconciliation.

    Part 1.

Reconciliation can be defined as the restoration of friendship following an estrangement. It can also be defined as the bringing together of two opposing parties by a third party. Reconciliation is a very real thing. With it, we are free, but without it we are plunged into unforgiveness and a vicious cycle of replaying offenses over and over again in our minds.

The love of Christ will arrest you in your tracks if you allow it do so. It will turn you away from living a life marked by bitterness and vengeance to a life characterized by freedom, love, and compassion. If we do not allow the love of Christ to arrest us, we will eventually be held captive to the memories of offenses, assaults, and unfairness that life inevitably brings our way.

The Apostle Paul tells us that in the course of human events, we can be road blocked from expressing the love and grace of Jesus Christ by our own carnality. Even in an advanced, mature Christian state, we can become prisoners to the desire to wreak vengeance upon our brothers and sisters in Christ. God wants to bring reconciliation to our lives through Jesus Christ. Christians should view their lives as an entrance ramp to the narrow path, expediting the route for others through reconciliation in Jesus.

The Bible emphasizes that unity in the Christian church is a crucial element to the world understanding and accepting the Gospel. Jesus said in John 17:21 that we must draw together in unity. We must draw together around the essentials in the Gospel and disregard things that tend to separate and divide us. This does not mean uniformity. The Bible gives great latitude in the kind of community of believers we become. There is no need to be "cookie-cutter" Christians -- there is diversity in the body through unity in Jesus Christ. God gives us this freedom for us to enjoy.

    See Part 2.

The ministry of reconciliation is given to believers.

    Notice who's addressed.

    Ephesians 1:1.

    Colossians 1:2.

    Also here.

2 Corinthians 5:10-21. For WE must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.

For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

And that he died for all, that THEY which live should not henceforth live unto THEMSELVES, BUT UNTO HIM WHICH DIED FOR THEM, and rose again.

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Therefore "IF" ANY MAN BE IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATURE: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

    And all things are of God, who hath reconciled US to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION;

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto US the word of reconciliation.

Now then WE are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made him to be sin for US, who knew no sin; that WE might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Notice this continues on to the next chapter.

    2 Corinthians 6:1-13.

    Here's a contrast in

    Ephesians 2:1.

    Colossians 3:5-6.

    2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

    2 groups, saved and unsaved.

More examples how the men of God took the written word of God literal on most occasions.

Daniel 9:2-3. In the first year of his reign I Daniel UNDERSTOOD BY BOOKS THE NUMBER OF THE YEARS, WHEREOF THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME TO JEREMIAH THE PROPHET, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

"Here Daniel responds with prayer to what he found in scripture and took literal."

Daniel 9:25-26. we have a prophesy of the coming of Lord "as King"fulfilled to the day and the death of the Messiah and destruction of Jerusalem. "Literal "

They, ( the Jews ) was held accountable for not knowing the "TIME" of his visitation.

    See here.

Luke 19:42-44 (KJV) Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; BECAUSE THOU KNEWEST NOT THE TIME OF THY VISITATION.

Daniels prophecy and estimation was to be taken literal.

Please keep in mind this thread is to refute the notion that the whole Bible is a parable as one mentioned.

    God bless

This scripture Isaiah 49 : 23....Speaks of infants that are gonna be born n us via the seed of Christ ...Kings shall be your nursing fathers and Queens shall be your nursing mothers they shall lick up the dust of your feet ...Kings and Queens are just Prophetic language of men and women that are gonna birth a baby An infant Christ which is the H.G. that Child of Promise till he is of age ..Thus he is that infant that cannot speak of himself.... Gal 4 : 1 now i say unto you that the heir as lone as he is a Child differs nothin from a servent tho he be LORD OF ALL But is under governors and tutors till the time appointed of the FATHER...That Child that is lord of all is the H.G. that is gona be born in us...But in that he is an infant he cannot speak of himself ...As even in the natural infants cannot speak....Thats y Jesus is saying these things are hid from the wise and prudent but revealed unto babes...The infants that cannot speak....But he is the true heir...Unless ya receive the Kingdom of God as a LIL Child you will in no wise enter there in....Thats y the new birth is so important....ok...There is a baby Christ in our future which is the H.G. that CHILD OF PROMISE....And he it is that is gonna lead us into all truth.....The kingdom does not come till the woman gives birth Rev 12 : 5 kjv....

    Brother S Spencer:

In your conversation with Kay, you said:

Those who say there is no Hell or Satan preach against the cross.

Ephesians 2:5 Having abolished in his flesh the emnity (heart of Satan at war with the heart of God), ...... for to make in himself of twain, one new man ....

Ephesians 2:6 That he might RECONCILE both unto God in ONE BODY by the CROSS having SLAIN the EMNITY thereby.

Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace, through the Blood of his cross, by him to RECONCILE all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

This says that that emnity WAS SLAIN and all things RECONCILE to him by the blood of HIS CROSS.

The says that there is a hell; preaches against the cross. Abolishing, THAT ALL by the blood of his cross WERE (finished) reconciled to him.

Are all things reconciled to him, or is it up to MAN?

    God BLESS YOU!

    Earl.

Again you drawn from a lot of scripture and misapplied ALL those scriptures by what you put in parentheses.

You say the book of Job is a Prophesy but James doesn't indicate that.

James 5:11. Behold, we count them happy which endure. YE HAVE HEARD OF THE PATIENCE OF JOB, and have SEEN the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

James seems to take the text literal.

As I said before you can spiritualize the text and claim it says anything.

    You've proven my point!

We will have to do what we have always done and that's agree to disagree. You know you're not going to convince me and I'm not trying to convince you.

    I'm moving on,

Back to declaring the importance in proper hermeneutics.

God bless those who believes in what is written.

Well dear friend. Such conversatios you are seeking for cannot be made through posts. But I 'll tell you what a fellow christian who was an ex-muslim from Lebanon and now he is an elder in a reborn church, told me. He told me if a muslim ever talks to you about Jesus, then simply ask him. " Does the Quran say that Jesus is the Son of God?" Yes it does say that. "Does it say that He was born by the Holly Spirit?" Yes it does say that as well. Then ask him " Since Jesus' father is God, then Jesus is ... ?" I leave it to you to give an answer to this. GBU

    Likewise Kay.

Seeking out those things of what Jesus spoke of.

They see but they do not see? They hear but they do not hear? Just those words alone ,would cause one to seek Ye first the kingdom of God! The power of the word! It is everlasting ,like the waters that flow from it!

Jesus said search the scriptures ( the written words ) in them you think you have eternal life but is them that testifies of me the living words the NEW COVENANT....The greater light is the living words that new COVENANT...The CHILDREN OF PROMISE....The babes and sucklings that are able to Praise God with a perfect Praise....Outta of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou has perfected PRAISE.

    Love.

John 15:13. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    Redemption.

To fully appreciate this Love, one would have to believe we've been Redeemed from something!! There would have to be consequences for the opposition.

We've been bought with the blood of Christ!

John 3:35-36. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: AND HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT THE SON SHALL NOT SEE LIFE; BUT THE WRATH OF GOD abideth on him.

    The narrow gate.

The only way to the father is by the son. John 14:6.

However not many will find it.

Matthew 7:13-14. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Here we see two groups with separate destinations.

Matthew 25:41, 46. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, DEPART FROM ME, YE CURSED, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS:

And these shall go away into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT: BUT THE RIGHTEOUS INTO LIFE ETERNAL.

    Note.

Everlasting punishment is not a refining fire. It's EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT.

These verses have to be taken literal, that's the only way that Love is displayed.

    God bless.

    The Word

Immanuel/Emmanuel "with us is God" "God with us". John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. The word dwelt here is not the ordinary word for dwelt, meaning to house, or take residence.

The Greek word dwelt in this verse is skno meaning to tent, tabernacle. God set up His tent or tabernacle among us in His only begotten Son Jesus, therefore Jesus' name Immanuel/Emmanuel. In John 14:1-3, this is just before Jesus was to be crucified when He told them this.

The word mansions is the Greek word , , mon means an abiding, an abode, dwelling-place. When Jesus was arrested, beaten, nailed to that cross, gave His life, and rose from the dead He provided that place that the first Adam corrupted that God through Jesus, by the Spirit can again dwell in man therefore His Name Immanuel/Emmanuel "with us is God" "God with us".

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

John 17:21-23 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Jesus' life in the flesh, death, and resurrection prepared the place where we can be one, therefore His Name Immanuel/Emmanuel "with us is God" "God with us".

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

    God bless,

I wonder if maybe people just didn't come to him to ask him to help them and that's why he didn't do many ( it doesn't say none ) mighty works . Coming to him and asking him for help is in itself an act of faith so if not many believed in him then maybe not many asked for his help .

Mishael , I have a question for you , please can you help me ? My mom recently bought me a present , it's a little silver necklace with some very small gems in the formation of the constellation of Cancer . I don't think she meant it as a gift pertaining to my astrological sign , just the constellation that was in the sky when I was born . Obviously I have nothing to do with astrology , I'm a bit uneasy about wearing it and I've only done so a couple of times when I was going to visit my mom , just to please her , but it meant that I had to take off my tiny silver cross that I usually always wear . Do you think it's ok for me to wear it when I visit my mom ? I don't intend to wear it any other time as the much prefer my little silver cross . Thanks .

    Brother S Spencer:

In you post to GiGi you said:

Sometime we lose sight that the Gospel was preached to Abraham 430 years before this point: being the giving of the law.

Hebrews 4:2 For unto us was the Gospel preached, as well as UNTO THEM .....

Those that fell in the wilderness.

John the Baptist came preaching the gospel.

After John was put in prison, Jesus came preaching the gospel.

    Paul says my gospel.

    What is this GOSPEL.

It CANNOT BE heaven and hell, else you would see the PROPHETS screaming this at the top of their lungs.

Amos 3:2 Surely the Lord God WILL DO NOTHING, but he REVEALETH HIS SECRETS unto his servants the PROPHETS.

The Book of Job is a PROPHESY.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day (future) when the Sons of God (the Called and Chosen) came to present themselves before the Lord (as a living sacrifice) and Satan (a deceitful and WICKED HEART living inside the called and chosen) came in WITH THEM.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 Then shall that WICKED be revealed ...

2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him (the called and chosen), whose coming is after the working of Satan (a heart of stone, lies, deception, falsehoods and wickedness) ....

Ezekiel 11:9 And I will GIVE THEM (GRACE) ONE heart, and I will put a new spirit in you, and take the STONEY HEART (after the workings of Satan) out of their flesh, and GIVE THEM (GRACE) a heart of flesh (after the workings of Christ, LIFE and TRUTH).

2 Thessalonians 2:8 Then shall that WICKED (SATANIC HEART) be revealed, whom the Lord shall CONSUME (for our God is a consuming fire) with the spirit of his mouth (his words of TRUTH), and shall DESTROY (that Satanic heart) with the brightness OF HIS COMING.

Matthew 12:28 But if I CAST OUT DEVILS (a STONY HEART) by the SPIRIT of God then the Kingdom of God is come unto YOU (Christ's Heart, Life and truth, REPLACING Satin's heart, lies, wickedness, a heart of antichrist).

All this is GOD'S WORK, man is just HEIR of these work's.

    God Bless YOU!

    Correction;

    :-)

I'm sure you guys figured it out but above it should have said the book of Ephesians chapter 6 verse 11. Not the book of "effusions"
  • Donna - In Reply - 3 years ago
Elisha, I'm praying for you too! I'm loving what Kay said. The devil USED TO beat the smack out of me! And I let him because I wasn't putting on the armor of God. You can read about that in the book of effusions chapter 6 verse 11 and forward. Very important. Are you Daily in the word? And in prayer? Once I put on the armor I noticed a difference immediately and I wasn't sure why but it was because I began to read and spend time daily in the word and prayer. Also we are made overcomers by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony the Bible says. Surely you have a testimony Share it it's half of that equation. Sometimes we do need help and we need to be covered and surrounded by the people of God. But when the enemy comes to you just say not today devil! In the name of Jesus. Quote scripture at him. Learn to recite the books of the Bible, etc. Peace &Blessings. Love in Christ.

And remember the devil is a liar it's what he does he's the father of lies. So anytime you're hearing his voice and he's making you afraid know that whatever he's saying is probably the exact opposite of what the actual truth is. So just rejoice and tell yourself that it's exactly the opposite of what you're fearing and start giving God the glory, For the great things He has done, Even if you cannot see them yet.
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Amen Kay!

What was the purpose of Jesus coming into this world and suffering the way he did if there's no damnable outcome for those who reject Christ!

John 3:18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This speaks against the notion everyone will be saved!

Luke 19:10. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Saved from what?

Was all the Apostles killed for nothing?

Those who say there's no Hell or Satan preaches against the cross.

The big question for those who present this doctrine is

What is the purpose and virtue of their message? Why bother?

It tells the sinner, "You shall not surely die!" That's not the Gospel!

    God bless.

Zak i hope you can understand what i am saying....But Spirits can be born thats y the sower will go forth to sow his precious seed that Living word in our hearts....And thats y the H.G. cannot speak of himself he is just an infant...Simply b/c he is gona be born in us...in our hearts as our hearts is like a womb where gestation can take place in the SPIRIT ...Remember Jeremiah saw this whole world in travail and birth pains...Jeremiah saw the Child that is gonna rule all nations which is the H.G. that CHILD OF PROMISE....The spirit of truth that is gona reprove this whole world of righteousness etc.

.....When Jesus breathe on them that was his words which are his seeds that is gonna propagate a birth of Christ in us...The Son of Man...Mankinds fruit unto God...Roman 7 : 4 ...Then he told em b/c i have spoken these words his seeds sorrows have filled your hearts, when a woman is in travail she has sorrows but her sorrows are turned into joy after the Child comes.. Matthew 16 : 19 kjv...The Child is the H.G. THAT RESULTS FROM HIS SEEDS, HIS WORDS...HIS BREATH...But the CHILD is the H.G. that infant that cannot speak of himself simply b/c he is an infant...But whatever he hears in the SPIRIT he can understand and reveals it unto us his mother..
