Hello Margo. One cannot comment with great clarity or certainty on a matter that is contained in a couple of chapters in Job. From what I read, it appears that Satan did have access to Heaven, as he did on these occasions, but was he allowed right into God's Presence or was his access limited? We know that he is still a spirit being so movement on Earth or in the heavens is not limited. But God does set bounds for spirit & human beings, so it may well be that we can assume this here also.

In Revelation 12:10, we read that the 'accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." So, here is another instance of Satan's access to the 'vicinity' of God, so that he might accuse those in Christ for their sins & failings.

How all this happens, we can only guess, but I feel sure that Heaven still remains free from any wickedness, because Holiness surrounds God's Throne ( Psalm 47:8; Isaiah 63:15; Psalm 93).

Hello Shirley. I believe as residents of this Earth & hearers of this Good News of salvation, we are obliged to make a response to Jesus while there is still breath in our bodies. Once we depart this life, there remains no further opportunity. Hebrews 9:27 states, "it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment". No second chances or opportunities - only God's Judgement awaits all those who have refused Him & His Offer of Love.

And this is also why Jesus, after he arose from the grave, gave commmandment to His disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, to go & share this Good News, teaching them, baptizing them after they believe, & to obey His Commandments. And the disciples, after they were filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, did just that, sharing the Gospel in the regions near & beyond, & bringing those who would be saved into the fold of Christ. If this sense of grave responsibility & urgency wasn't there, it could well mean that there was still hope for people after the grave. But this is not the case. People need to hear this message now - tomorrow might be too late for them. Many refuse to hear, but we pray that God will direct our steps & our voices to those appointed to receive eternal life. At least to our loved ones, friends & associates, this Good News must be shared that they not be consigned to the place of eternal punishment.

Amen GiGi. Well presented. As one side refutes the comments of so-called non-spiritually-minded folk, so the other side have equal warrant to present their view, lest a public forum as this becomes lop-sided, with what I see as perpetuating error. The only way around this is for meaningful expository exchanges, but that is unlikely to happen as I've noticed when expository fundamentals are not adhered to. I've often been told that 'I'm in grave error or I don't write according to the Spirit, or speak as a Pharisee', which of course, I take on board - for that's what I expect. Likewise, errors found within other submissions, need to be exposed & refuted from the Word. If one chooses not to pursue a discussion on it, as I often see, then where is the opportunity to get a proper grasp of Truth?

......Jesus asked which of the Prophets has not your fathers stoned....And here you are trying to stone me and others ...For telling the truth.

......GI Gi I rebuke you in the name of the lord...They found Steven that man of God to be PROBLEMATIC ...He was interpreting the bible in way that was "OFF."..to them ...But he was just telling the truth.

.....Gi Gi you have been persecuting me for over a yr....And you continue to make derogatory remarks about my Posts....Its time that you are put in your place....Get over your self....i have warned you several times if you wana dialogue with me do it a kindly manner...I have even begged you several times do not address me....But you continue to harass me for well over a yr...I went thru this same thing several yrs ago with a JEHOVEH WITNESS in another chat room...But after I rebuked him in the name of the LORD he left me alone....I was just telling him that Jesus was God the son...He said that was Problematic...nite Gi Gi

    Job 1:6

A friend referenced this verse indicating that when the sons of God (i.e., Job) came to present themselves before the Lord ... and Satan also came along.

Might you know where this meeting took place? Was it in Heaven?

My church buddy says that the meeting may have taken place in Heaven and that if Satan came along, then Satan has access to go to Heaven. Is this true?

In addition, she says that if Satan is present in Heaven or when he has access to Heaven, and He is evil and full of sin, then does that mean Heaven is no longer a sinless place where no evil exists?

I need to clarify this line of thinking because that's new to me.

I appreciate your time on this. Thank you, Margo

    The Natural Man.

    Part 2.

In 1 Corinthians 2, Paul uses the word natural to refer to someone still in his original (sinful) state. The Greek word psuchikos ("natural") can be defined as "animal," as opposed to "spiritual." Natural men are those who are occupied with the things of this material world to the exclusion of the things of God. They are led by instinct rather than by the Spirit of God. They intuitively choose sin over righteousness. They are the "pagans" Jesus refers to in Matthew 6:32 who only seek after the things of this world.

The supernatural work of God is to change the natural man into a spiritual one. When a person trusts Christ, God exchanges what is natural (received from Adam) for what is spiritual (received from Christ). "As in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive" ( 1 Corinthians 15:22). The Christian life is, therefore, a supernatural one. We do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit ( Romans 8:1). Interesting find.

Back to 1 Corinthians 1:18. For the preaching of the cross is TO THEM THAT PERISH FOOLISHNESS; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

If you notice, them that perish doesn't have much to say about the preaching of the cross! Why? Because it's foolishness to them.

To us which are saved our Hope, Redemption, and Salvation is tied to it,

Here's how the natural Man/Tares voids out the productivity of the cross in their false teachings.

God Love is on display when I slew his only begotten Son in our place, So there must be a damnable consequence to those who don't accept "This sacrifice"

He'll would have to be a real place for those who don't receive Christ. or the Love of God on display would be in vain!!

They say there is no Hell and all will go to Heaven by fire!

They replace the productivity of the cross with the fire prescribed for Satan as the means by which we are saved!

    1 Corinthians 2:14.

    God bless.

    Kay,

Yes, I was think of that very Scriptural text when I posted my thoughts about how casually we can become when approaching God. We all can learn to be more reverent before Him and also to take time to prepare ourselves better for such intimacy. God is not like us. We are created a bit like His image, but He is far, far more than we could ever imagine in His perfection, glory, and greatness. Maybe some of us need a bit of "Sinai" once and awhile to correct our view of God as we approach Him on "Zion"'.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Thank you Steven,

I was actually thinking of those very verses when reading this text in Exodus. God is very gracious to us. He could thunder from heaven to us, as He did to the Israelites when He descended onto the mountain. But we have a perfect high priest, leader, and mediator in Jesus who took away our sin and separation from God and covers us with His righteousness so that we can approach God under grace and not judgment.

    Good evening Gabriel,

Thank for your response . I know that God can certainly do what seems impossible, even revive what is dead. So, I will continue to pray for your miracle. I am glad to hear from you. I hope that you will sleep easy while you are waiting on God and that you will continue to do the work that God has called you to do in a good spirit and find satisfaction in your work. I pray for the Lord to bless you with new found friends who can encourage you and bless you with their presences and deep concern for the things of your heart. We all need comrades to walk with us in our difficult times. Especially people who will drop everything and come to sit with you when you feel especially down or discouraged. I pray that God will send such kind of friends as this to you soon.

Brother Giannis, thank you for your comment. As a young person attending 'Church', I was taught that Jesus was always in Heaven (from the beginning), a part of the Trinity (therefore in spirit form), & was sent to Earth to become Man to fulfil God's Plan. I think you're saying the same thing but adding that since God's Word came to the people, Jesus was also called the "Word of God".

Ordinarily, I would agree with that view. But in studying the Scriptures, the following convinces me to believe differently.

John 1:1 (He was never known by this Name Jesus - only that the Word existed within the Godhead, just as the Holy Spirit exists).

John 1:14 (that Word was given flesh - the Word's Form was changed from Spirit to flesh).

Matthew 1:21 (that humanly birthed Babe would be called Jesus - a Name not used or known before in Heaven but now given to this new Life on Earth, coming as 'Yahweh is Salvation').

Luke 1:35 (the first title used of this Babe: "The Son of God". I don't find this revealed anywhere else in the Scriptures (OT) that the Son of God existed in Heaven (i.e. as a Son) - He only became a Son through His Incarnation).

Hebrews 1:1,2 (as God's Word was given to Israel via the prophets, so through His Son now God speaks to them & us. The same Word of God: once to the prophets, now the Word made flesh to speak, not as a prophet, but as the Son of God, God's Word in the flesh).

From all this, I don't deny the existence of Jesus in Heaven before the incarnation, but don't find evidence that He was called Jesus (in Heaven) or functioned as He did on Earth while in Heaven. Rather, I'm compelled to accept "there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one" ( 1 John 5:7). The Word that always was within the Godhead is now Jesus seated as the Lord in flesh at His Father's right Hand.

What a lovely reply. Thank you. I am the fourth of ten children born to my Mom and Dad. They had 10 in 19.5 years. A busy life for both of them with my Dad working 2 jobs and odd jobs on top of that and my Mom caring for us, canning, and all of the work involved with day to day family life. I will miss her, just as I miss my Dad. But knowing that they as believers are in God's Presence is such a comfort and great joy!

May God Bless you and your family richly as you raise all of these precious ones. My husband and I have been married 42 years. We have three sons. Each one had serious difficulties at birth or just after. I am not like my Mom, in that my babies were imperiled each time from unexpected circumstances (each circumstances was a different problem) with the last being the most life threatening for my baby. And this last circumstances had a high likelihood of happening again in any other pregnancy. It was a sad time when we realized that we should not have anymore children. But God led us to that decision after months of prayer. We are blessed to have three sons who are now all in there thirties. The oldest just got married last fall at 37 and the other two are not dating anyone at this time. I continue to pray for God to bring to them the best woman for them (and the best for these women in my sons).

    The Natural Man.

    Part 1 of 2.

In 1 Corinthians 2:6-16, the natural man is compared to the spiritual man and the carnal man. Verse 14 says, "A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. This verse does not define the natural man, as such; rather, it uses the term to describe one who does not understand God's words and thoughts. The one who can understand God's words is a "spiritual" man (verse 15).

Dr. Henry Morris, in the New Defender's Study Bible, gives this comment on verse 14: "The 'natural' man, still unsaved, cannot appreciate spiritual truths. He must first understand Christ's atoning sacrifice for him, but even that is 'foolishness' to him (1:18) until the Holy Spirit Himself convicts him of its reality ( John 16:7-11)." Basically, the "natural" man is one who does not have the Holy Spirit residing within him. As Jesus said, "Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit" ( John 3:6).

Let's look at some other uses in the Bible of the word natural. In Romans 11:21 we read, "For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you." In 1 Corinthians 15:44-46, "It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, then there is also a spiritual body. However the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual." Ezekiel 44:31 speaks of a natural death. Daniel 10:8 speaks of a natural color. James 1:23 speaks of a natural face, and James 3:15 states, "This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, "natural", demonic."

    FOR IT IS WRITTEN!!

A number of times during His earthly ministry, Jesus responded to questions with, "It is written" (7 times in Matthew, 4 times in Mark, 5 times in Luke, 1 time in John). In the Bible, we also read of many time when Jesus quoted the truths of God from the Hebrew Scriptures.

Satan doesn't dispute whether it was written or not. He tries to redefine the word of God.

    as seen here.

    Genesis 3:4-5. and

    Matthew 4:3-7, 10.

Notice every rebuke came from Jesus was by the written scripture.

    3) And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

    4) But he answered and said, IT IS WRITTEN, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. ( Deuteronomy 8:3.)

    5) Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

    6) And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. ( Psalms 91:11-12.)

    7) Jesus said unto him, IT IS WRITTEN again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

    ( Deuteronomy 6:16.)

    10) Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for IT IS WRITTEN, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. ( Deuteronomy 6:13. Deuteronomy 10:20.)

it's interesting The Lord and Satan goes back and forward over what is written.

They both took the scripture literally! The issue is how to apply it.

With Eve the Devil tactic was to misinform.

With the Lord the Devil tried to misapply scripture.

When the enemy can't remove the scripture he set tares amongst us to distort the ministry in every way possible.

    NOTE:

The notion that there is no Hell and there is no Satan comes from the same Evil source that told Eve she shall not surely die.

    God bless.

Here is something to consider about when the Fig Tree Generation will begin and end.

While it is true that Israel was proclaimed to be a nation by President Truman on May 14,1948; it is important to realize that Israel was not considered to be a sovereign state by the rest of the world until the United Nations recognized Israel to be a nation one year later on May 11, 1949.

Therefore, the Fig Tree Generation did not formally begin until May 11, 1949, which would mean the year Christ will return to earth to rule for 1,000 years would be 2029.

We can look for the 7 year tribulation to begin later this year in 2022, more than likely in September around the Feast Of Trumpets (at the end of the current Shmetah Cycle), or in October around the Day Of Atonement.

Incidentally, the notion that an idol is nothing in the world is preposterous considering the following information:

"...there arose no small stir about that way. For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen; Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth. Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth." Acts 19:23-27

    Dav47:

I never said that Job was not and actual event.

Is not our bible the WORDS of God.

Was not Job a Prophet, Prophesying.

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy CAME NOT in the old time by the will of men: but holy men of God spake as they we moved by the Holy Ghost.

Job 27:1 And Job continued HIS PARABLE, and said

Job 13:27 ...thou settest a print on the heels of my feet.

Job was PROPHESYING by a PARABLE about Christ.

Most of Psalms, is David, a Prophet, prophesying about Christ.

You see the same thing described by both Prophets.

    God Bless YOU!
