We saints today have quite a bit of work to do in our present state of affairs here in the USA. As our scripture points out, many are doing the work of God, but for the wrong reasons. We need to be like Daniel and pray for our nation and the direction we are heading too. Daniel 9; and our leadership as we are directed to in 1 Timothy 2: 1-4.

Thank you all for your comments and discussion on this forum. May we stand fast in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May 22, 2022 The Lord shine His face on everyone and bless us as we go through our current situation emotionally, economically, physically, but most of all spiritually.

    Hi Anthony.

You asked how can that be as if God was in the likeness of Man.

That's impossible for you and I.

Is there anything impossible for God?

John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD.

Obviously John 1 is talking about THE WORD that came in flesh. (Jesus ) And There is only one God.

Here's just a few verses that may help.

John 1:18 (KJV) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Revelation 1:8 (KJV) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

    God bless.

You're correct, some people can't be helped or simply do not want it.

My comment was based on the perspective of providing love and charity TO the person/people, refarfless. Those in need, need help. Providing them with a warm meal on a cold winter day may not bring them to God but then again, the simple charitable and loving act of providing them with a warm meal on a cold winters day is the work/help that begins to foster a relationship, sometimes, in which we may be able to help them further, spiritually. To the point of accepting Christ.

It's pretty easy, at times, to help a believer isn't it. But not so easy to help someone who doesn't want to be helped/saved.

Jesus died for "helping" those people didn't he? Or did he just come for the saved?

Doing God's work isn't easy and of course the atheists or others don't even want to hear it. Jesus never quit..

I'll pray for His will to be done. There is much I could say; as I frequently do; but that probably won't help much. As a servant of the Lord; you can say with authority that nothing can happen without Christ allowing it to. In my own experience a couple years back with an alcoholic angry man upstairs and another drunk that caused conflicts in my building; after prayer they both passed from this life within a few weeks of each other unexpectantly. Another time I took a drug dealer somewhere after he entered my car and he broke into my building since his girlfriend was there to use my bathroom; but never harmed me. I found out my neighbor was a Satan worshipper a few months before I moved from there and he was mentally unstable. The closest to homeless I got was trying to sleep in the woods when my ex wife had her noisy relatives there at night; and spending a few weeks with a friend after I had to leave when my wife started having an affair in a broken down house. And I spent quite a few nights in a broken down home and occasionally had to use a street portable toilet until the elderly man I knew who owned it passed away last year (he was a friend of mine). I stayed there because of noise from my downstairs neighbor who had violent fights with her boyfriend most recently and earlier with the problems in my other apartment.

I say all this as encouragement; as I always had opportunity for fellowship. I have known some struggling and can report that He is faithful. I was actually attacked from a childhood friend who was attempting something sexual as a child; and recently found out that he died prematurely as well. I was able to get away from him after he offered me drinks and told me I was imagining things. I went through emotional abuse from my father growing up and had many take advantage of me. But the Lord has been faithful since 1982 when I was saved; and I want to encourage you to preach the Good News. I will pray for your deliverance.

For sadness to turn to gladness for me and my family. Praying God breaks all generational and familiar curses and spirits off of me and my family/bloodline, and off of my husband and his family/bloodline, and off of generation after generation of ours, in Jesus Name, We had church prayer group, and they prayed over my 2 adult daughters, saying that my 2 daughters are still single due to: familiar, old and/or generational curses, please pray these curses are broken immediately and permanently off of my 2 kids, and off of all of us, and that God rebukes, removes and blocks every evil spirit, every familiar spirit, and every curse, off of my kids, Ashley and Sarah, and off of me, and my husband, and off of all of our family members, including future family members, in-laws, grandkids, praying God protects my family, and me, and delivers us from every evil, and IMMEDIATELY SENDS MY 2 SON IN LAWS, MY 2 GOOD AND GODLY MEN, TO MY 2 DAUGHTERS, TO MEET THEM NOW, TO DATE THEM NOW, TO MARRY THEM NOW, WITHOUT INTERFERENCE, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME, AMEN AND HALLELUJAH!!!

Amen ELB! I couldn't agree with you more! Everything you said was pure truth.

Years ago the Lord led me to get away from these "popular" teachings I've been hearing for years and to get deep in His Word and "test all things". Also to read scripture in context...from the beginning of the chapter to the end and further on! I find a lot of these false doctrines are "cherry picked"...they never seem to be in context. Satan also cherry picked scripture with Jesus. Anything that's false...incorrect interpretations of scripture especially...can never come from God! When it's from Him, it'll be the whole truth from beginning to end!

I found it to be so refreshing when I discovered the real truth in His Word....He definitely led me in such a beautiful path...on this journey of so many gems that were there the whole time and I had no idea. If the Bereans in the Book of Acts could search the scriptures to see if what the Apostles taught was true....and we know for a fact they were the real deal...how much more in an age of deception that Jesus told us would be in these last days!

Thank you for sharing! God bless you as well!!

    Andony,

There is a simple explanation for John 1:1.

The verse is talking about two different people, both with the name God, but only one known as the Word.

Subsitute Jack Epps for the Word and James Epps for the second notation of God.

The verse would then read, "Jack was Epps and Jack was with Epps."

To make this clearer, we could fully expand it to read as follows.

"(Mister) Jack (Epps) was (Mister) Epps and (Mister) Jack (Epps) was with (Mister James) Epps."

Looking at the verse this way removes all confusion as to what the verse is saying.

    Numbers 15:29

Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

    Leviticus 24:22

Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.

    Numbers 15:16

One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.

    Ephesians 2:19-20

    19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

    20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Do these Scriptures make up airs to the kingdom of God along with the "Jewish" people?

Why then can't a Christian buy land in Jerusalem without converting?

    Sister Kay:

I know you are a child if God because the WORD says you are a child of God.

I think we all want to know as much about the Kingdom of God as revealed in his WORD.

God is Spirit, God is the LIFE, The Father gave the Son to have LIFE in himself, God gave the Son the inheritance of all nations of the world.

God gave his son a chosen few (which could be millions) to be a royal priestshood, the ones who share in Christ's resurrection.

Christ and these Sons of God are going to judge the world at the second resurrection.

WE CANNOT be a righteous judge without becoming exactly like Christ, this in the new creation, being born of Spirit, but having the glorified body of Christ.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest EXPECTATION of the creature (man) WAITETH (in the grave) for the manifestation of the SONS OF GOD.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature (man) ITSELF shall be DELIEVERED from the bondage of corruption (the grave) into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

All this happens after the second resurrection when the Kingdom is established here on earth.

Mosses and the first children were a shadow: this time Christ is the KING and ALL WILL OBEY.

Zachariah 14:29 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses (THE PRIEST), HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD, and the pots in the Lords house, shall be like bowls upon the alter.

Zechariah 1:21 Yea every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness unto the lord of host: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein, and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of host.

    God Bless YOU!

I have read and heard of the 144,000 News so often. As a Minister, to me the misunderstanding is beyond me. The Bible says in Revelations chap.7 Out of each Tribe of Israel 12,000. The Jews today for the most part having been scattered to the 4 corners of the Earth as prophesied. They have no idea what Tribe of origin they are ,, but God knows. In Rev. 14,,, a sudden shift takes place, as they are seen with The Lamb, Christ. This is not symbolic, but literal. The Book of Revelations is a Book of Symbo!s and Prophesies. But the Best and Simplest way to understand it, is to take it as literal as possible.

Example: Revelations chap.9 Bottomless Pit is opened, 200 million locusts come out of the smoke of Hell. Torment of a scorpion, sting in their tail. Faces like Men,teeth like lions, winged creatures, etc,, And they had power to hurt Men for 5 months, and Men will go crazy and try to commit suicide, but God will not a!low it. I've heard Ministers say the sting represents a bomber plane and their faces mean Men will look and see theirself. Look,, let's get real if you open up Hell, whatever comes out of it is going to be terrifying. This is a literal description in chap.9 of what will be released.

So when we see the 144,000 with Christ suddenly. It represents a snatching, taking away, A Rapture. How else did they suddenly appear in Heaven. This is just one of 7 Raptures. Now,,, how many times have you heard a Preacher say ,only this small number made it out of all The Jews. But look at chap.14 v 4 It says, what,,? These are The Firstfruits, the beginning of a Season of Harvest. What do you often get with Firstfruits,, Here the Bible says the Best of the Best.

Now look at Hebrew chap.11 Paul, said of Israel you hardened your Hearts, conceited and full of Ego, Blind. Hmmmm,,, that doesn't sound like our Modern Church at all. Then Paul said but God will take away your sins, And All Of Israel Shall Be Saved. Part

Lord THANK YOU for the beautiful blessing that truly can be found in the Sabbath. Just resting in You. Enjoying home, pets, family. Giving thanks and being content in this moment in time. Praising my Lord for the life He gives and the life He restores. There is hope in Him today.

I pray for all that are sick in body. Those battling cancer. There is hope. Jesus still heals people today. Ask Him. Take care of yourself. Eat healthy. Start today. Your body is the temple of the Lord. Sit quietly and ask Jesus to speak and guide you, then listen. Feel after Him. Ask Him for scripture to guide you. I'm praying for you.

    In Jesus name I ask.

    Hi Dawn.

Michael the archangel seems to be a powerful militant angel in the behalf of Israel.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of "THY PEOPLE" and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

    Daniel 12:1.

    Daniel 10:13.

    Daniel 10:21.

However we know he is not Christ.

We can easily refute that here in Jude and in the book of Luke.

Here in Jude 1:8-9. you see Michael the archangel gives respect to dominion and says THE LORD REBUKE YOU.

Jude 1:9. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Here in Luke 4:8. We see Jesus who created all things rebuke Satan.

"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

Michael the archangel is a created being.

"The Angel of the Lord is the pre incarcerated Christ. Who created all things.

Colossians 1:16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

John 1:3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

    God bless.

    Hi ELB!

So many thoughts are going through my head! :)

I'll just say that, i.e., when Paul was taken up to the third heaven, he saw things not lawful to discuss. If all was 'Spirit' as you say - he would have not seen things that were wonderful. Isaiah saw the Seraphim, and described them precisely; that means they have substance.

Our bodies, now, are the temple of the Holy Spirit. If we defile THAT by willful, gross sin, we do place ourselves under God's displeasure and chastisement.

As for Mark 9, of course no Christian plucks out their eyes or chops off their hands! Jesus was indicating how strict we need to be in order to escape damnation! I can tell you ELB, much to my sorrow, there was a time years ago in my Christian life, where I was not as 'strict' as I needed to be. Thanks be to God, in His mercy, He schooled me on this, and I MUST, by mortifying every member in my body, be as one who 'plucks out their eye", i.e., like Pauli, 'beat my body under" rather than to sin with my eyes! We cannot think that Paul LITERALLLY 'beat his body under', i.e, 'gave himself a black eye', as the words are in the Greek. NO! He was talking about putting down flesh and walking in God's Spirit by walking in God's Word.

When Jesus rose, He ate, He drank, He inivited Thomas to touch Him and see that He was not a ghost - but had substance! Jesus ate again with the disciples on the road to Emmaus.

I know that I know that I have been born again from above; my Father has revealed His Son to me, and in me, and has put eternity in my heart. I can say Job's words with faith:

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

26And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

27Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

    Hasten the day, Lord!

    Grace in abundance, ELB!

    Sister Kay:

Hell: the Hebrew word sheol, a place of no perception were the dead go, the grave.

Deuteronomy 32:22 For a fire is kindled in my anger .....

Is this fire literal, started with a match, of the fire of the Lord.

Luke 12:49 And I have come to send fire on the earth; and what will I (be), if it (the fire) already be kindled?

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Luke 12:50 And I have a baptism (fire), to be baptised with, and how am I straitened till it BE ACCOMPLISHED.

Matthew 3:11 ...he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire.

1 Corinthians 3:15 .....but he himself shall be save, as yet by fire.

Psalms 86:13 For great is thy (the Father's) mercy toward me (Christ): and thou (the Father) shall deliver my (Christ's) soul (body) from the lowest hell (sheol, the grave).

Isaiah 5:14 Therefore hell (sheol, the grave) hath enlarged herself, and open her mouth without measure ....

    Mark 9:43

I have never seen a Christian that believed these verses, if they are literal, otherwise they would have cut off their hands and feet to keep from going to hell.

    It's an analogy.

You believe in a literal heaven and a literal hell.

Hebrews 12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the REMOVING of those (literal and physical) things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things (SPIRIT) which cannot be shaken remain.

    God Bless YOU!

    Hey Dawn Pattison,

Revelation 1:5 is about Jesus; He is the prince of the kings of the world. The word prince used is the Greek word archon meaning; ruler, governor, leader, leading man, no authority higher. God placed Jesus above all, Philippians 2:9, and He will reign until all enemies are put under His feet, 1 Corinthians 15:25.

Michael is one of the chief princes, the only one called archangel, Jude 1:9 and the prince of the people of the house of Israel, Daniel 10:13-21. At the end we see that Michael will stand up, Daniel 12:1, also in Revelation 12:7-12 Michael and other angels cast Satan out of heaven down to this earth permanently.

    God bless.
