Job's wife said "curse God and die!"

But I say " Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and he will give you the desires of your heart!"

I went through the same thing as you are going through now. I did it all wrong. I tried to do it myself I took my eyes off of the Lord and I backslid caused myself and my family a lot of heartache near death experiences and pain not to mention poverty and sickness. The enemy had a field day in my life and ruined my testimony. I can tell you right now, if you want victory you need to seek the Lord with all your heart. Be willing to let Gabby go. I'm not saying you have to, but be willing to and let the Lord know that you are. Stay on your face before him see him with all your heart. If you walk away from God the devil will have you and he only wants to kill steal and destroy you. Remember God gave you a promise he told you he was going to fix this! How long are you willing to wait? Seek ye first the kingdom of God brother It's the only way you'll have victory. God will change hearts he can do that! Hang in there and stand on His promise that He made you. It's going to be really hard and you're gonna have to be really strong. Stay on your face before the Lord and cry it out to Him.

Hold on to Gods unchanging hand Ruth. Fix your gaze on Christ alone! I'm praying for you tonight.I've been there before too and I can tell you it doesn't feel like it now, but you will get through this and you will be stronger for it, if you just hang on! Jesus will bring relief. Also maybe there's a dr. You could reach out to. There could be an underlying medical reason they could help alleviate.

God bless and keep Ruth in Your loving care tonight. Please Lord lift the heavy spirit and rebuke it in Jesus name! Replace it with the sweet peace that passes all understanding. Bring swift deliverance. For Ruth and so many others battling deep depression tonight.

My dearest sister there are 3 things I'd like to say.

    1. I do understand what you are struggling with. Everyone has (as they say) they're own demons to fight with. I beg you to believe this you can win this but only with God's help. I was proud and stupid and was lossing everything. But when I truly let God in so much good came my way.

    2. Listen to Suze! She is so right. God. Helped me find my true love. Been together for 22 years. If you do not know how (which many people don't,) please go to a bible church and ask the people how can you get closer to God. I'm sure they would be happy to help.

    3. And to me. I will not give him the satisfaction of lossing my life from my loving Father. You see God knows you have a good heart you know how we know? Because the more you get closer to God the harder satan works to make your life hell so you would stumble. But that's ok. You get up talk to God go on your merry way.

    Don't give Satan that satisfaction!

With so much love my sister,

    Jeanie.

God I'm ready to give up. I'm ready to just say that's it and be done with it all. Am I really destined for hell. Should I really be suffering this long. God I know I'm a bad person I know I have said some messed up things that I should have never ever uttered from my mouth and in doing so am now living in utter hell. Everyday is a reminder of how bad I screwed up a relationship a love that I wanted so much. Why don't you just save me the time and turn your back as you said you would do in the Bible. I prayed for her to come back Gabby. Nothing not a sign not a wonder not anything just utter pain and despair and hopelessness.
  • Gabriel Beaven - In Reply - 3 years ago
I've wanted to run away then I look at my bank account and say oops can't do that. I've wanted to end it and say darn I have work tomorrow. The weeks go by and I wonder what I am still doing here. Then God is like just wait and things will get better. It's hard though I hate waiting and just like anyone. I'd love to put my prayer in the microwave for one second and get an answer. But God doesn't work like that. Stay in faith and don't give up. It's easier to give up then to stay in faith. Because the evil one makes it that way. Guard your thoughts and mind and know God will never give you more than you can bare.
  • Gabriel Beaven - In Reply on 3 John 1 - 3 years ago
It's not worth it. It is something that I have gone through myself even now but something keeps telling me. The tomorrow is even better. Don't loose hope or faith. Keep in mind you have more to give in this life. You are chosen and therefore make your life a living testimony. I'm praying for you dear one.

Consider Jesus' witness/testimony about the words he speaks:

"...if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. John 12:47-50

"...the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me..." John 14:10

Consider Jesus' prophesy about how the Holy Ghost will instruct true believers:

"...when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." John 16:13

When it comes to the disposition of my eternal soul, I'm not interested in opinions expressed in a collection of questionable epistles or the sermons of human pastors; I'm only interested in the unleavened Word of God that came out of Jesus' mouth or the Holy Ghost who is available to those who keep his commandments.

I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist."

Always ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what the passages mean.

John 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall TEACH you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

James 3:1 - My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1 Corinthians 7:25-28. It's true that this advice wasn't received from the Lord, but Paul gives this instruction to the believers (married & unmarried) in response to the "present distress" (some read it as an 'impending time of suffering'). I don't see anything wrong with an apostle giving advice concerning a situation that the Church is in, or maybe, facing, that hasn't first come from the Lord. He has every right to do so, just as the preacher today shares not only from the Word, but also his personal impressions & encouragements or warnings about events (good or bad) happening around them. This is not Paul's doctrine - it's his teaching, advice for the times they were in. And the believers could have disregarded this advice if they wished, without it being a sin; but the consequences were before them.

In Acts 15:5-30, these were apparently a particular sect of the Pharisees & they believed in Jesus Christ. However, as with the problem with Peter (Galatians chapter 2), here too these men couldn't understand nor accept that Gentiles were not bound by the old Law & of circumcision. Therefore, the determination made by the apostles & elders remained faithful to the Law of the New Covenant in Christ. These believing Pharisees needed to be taught, as also in regards to Peter.

With Acts 5:27-29 & Romans 13:1-7, we see two entirely different scenarios. The first, when the 'powers that be' oppose Christianity & the preaching of the Gospel, and the second, when citizens are required to follow governmental laws for the good of the country. If one should believe that we should not obey the govt that opposes the Gospel, then that belief needs to be effected in other instances, such as refusal to pay taxes, abide by road rules, etc. I doubt if there would be many that would put into practise such an thought.

We should not pick & choose verses to support a belief, rather understand the whole counsel of God given in His Word & yes, even holding onto apostolic teaching.

Very true. We all need to be exercised, no longer focussed on the body, but more importantly, the spirit.

Galatians 5:24,25: "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." And 'walking in the Spirit' doesn't mean we also hold hands with the world, still praising the Lord.
  • John anonymous - In Reply - 3 years ago
Jesus warns his disciples to beware of leaven (false doctrine) that will be added to the unleavened bread that comes down from heaven (even the very Word of God). 1st Corinthians 7:25 is a prime example of the introduction of doctrine that did not come from the Lord. The author(s) even tells you they didn't get it from the Lord. Consider what Jesus instructs us all in John 7:16-18 "My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him." Therefore, if anyone introduces their own doctrine, unrighteousness is in them.

In Acts 15 the Pharisees proposed doctrine that was in opposition of the Holy Ghost. The Apostles recognized it and rejected the Pharisee's doctrine as leaven. It did not come from God, it came from their heart. What's in a person's heart is what comes out of their mouth. By thy words shalt thou be justified and by thy words shalt thou be condemned.

Romans also introduces false doctrine when they suggest that the "powers that be" are ordained of God and should be obeyed. The Apostles taught no such thing. In fact they taught the opposite. The "powers that be" said to them: "Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine [...] Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men." ( Acts 5:28-29).

The Bible says to " Place Yourself on The Alter of Sacrifice" That is a word that is not used much today. Not many are willing to even Sacrifice the few hrs. Per week to attend Church. We can sit mindless in front of a TV or Screen for hrs. But we have no time to Study to show ourselves approved. That we have a solid understanding of God's Word. We can shop, play golf, hunt, school ,exercise and any number of activities. But we have no time to Pray. The most common excuse for all the above. I'm too tired. We act like the World, dress, go to the same places. But yet God said ,,Come out from among them and be ye separate, be different.

But just like Israel we want to be like all the other Nations, People, kids, The Churches. I know how stupid it is for me to get Marked all over my body with ink. But I want to fit the in. It's all called Sacrifice. It's amazing to me the Sacrifices People will make for job advancement, to get in shape. Spend thousands on clothes, hair, cars, lands, material goods. But won't give God the Tithe, and now we are carrying a curse. I think of all the Heroic Men and Women who have sacrificed their lives for a Freedom we take for granted.

Therein lies, the dilemma,Jesus said"Whom The Son hath set Free, he is Free indeed". But that Freedom came with The Sacrifice. And to maintain it, certain Sacrifices will have to be made. I'm not Knocking anyone who plays Golf, it's not a sin. But every weekend I would take off early and come home late, usually drunk. But when I gave my Heart to God, I started going to Church on Sunday, suddenly, I wanted to be home on Saturday. I battled quitting the Addiction of Skoal, it was tough. But God's grace is sufficient. In 1996, I lost to Drink,Smoke, Curse. I'm still a work in progress, I don't have time to tell of the fasting, other things God said put them to the side. We don't Serve Please-us . We serve Jesus.

Lemme give ya my view on Baptism...When Jesus asked that woman at the well for drink he said whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst Again...Thats salvation by water baptism...But H.G. BAPTISM IS A HEAVENLY WATER WHICH IS THE GIFT OF GOD

But the water that i will give him shall be a well of water springing up unto everlasting life...Thats H.G. Baptism...Our thirst for Salvation cannot be quenched by Water Baptism...But only by H.G BAPTISM....There is only 1 baptism of PROMISE which is H.G. baptism...The gift of God the Promise

......When Jesus said behold i send the Promise of my Father upon you that was baptism of the H.G....Which was the birth of a baby Christ the H.G that Child of Promise...As he said that which is born of the spirit is spirit thats the H.G. THE CHILD OF PROMISE..The multiplication of Christ in humanity via his seed his WORDS..His breath,..When he breathe on them he was propagating very God which is the H.G. THAT CHILD OF PROMISE...Thats y Jesus is saying unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in...Thats y we refer to the H.G as the Child of Promise...He is the multiplication of CHRIST IN US VIA HIS SEED THE WORD....The Granson the beginning of an Israel of God born in humanity.

.....Jesus cd not refer to the H.G. as the Promise if he were not the multiplication of Christ in humanity...The Son of man...Mankinds fruit unto God.

.....That was the original Promise when God swore by himself...I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven...Thus the H.G. wants to be born in us via the seed of Christ Jesus...Thats y the new birth is so important...Unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child...You will in no wise enter there in....i know that i am being repititious but i cannot help it i am obsessed with the seed of the Sower and baptism of the H.G. THE Promise...That living water..We are gonna have a Baby...She brought forth a manchild...which is the H.G....Emanuel...I see in the spirit.
