Guys plz when ya speak of Replacement Theology...Remember Jesus took our PLACE at the Cross...Jew or Gentile ..He paid the price for everyman Jew or Gentile...As Gal. 3 : 28 there is no Jew or Gentile in Christ Jesus...We are all one in Christ Jesus...And if ANY man be in Christ Jesus he is a New Creature, Jew or Gentile, Old things have passed away and behold all things are become new.

......1 st Cor. 12 : 13 By 1 Spirit are we ALL baptised into the body of Christ whether we be JEW or Gentile...Bond or Free...We all have to drink of that same spritual drink which is Christ Jesus...There is no more Jew or Gentile in Christ Jesus Gal 3 : 28....Do you not realize that the 12 disciples were all Jews but they had to be bornagain...Thus they became a new creature in Christ Jesus.

.....Now New Jerusalem is the city of God as you are come unto MT. SION the city of the living God...That Heavenly Jerusalem Hebrews..12 : 22 kjv...And to a hugh host of angels....When God pours out his spirit on all flesh it will include the Jews that are stuck in the law...And Old Jerusalem...And all the World...A lil one shall become a 1000 and a small one a strong nation I the lord will hasten it in its TIME...Which is the ISRAEL OF GOD....And this is gonna make natural Israel very happy....They are gona be free from the law...They are gona be bornagain of an incorruptible seed...Which is that New Covenant...They are gonna birth a baby Christ which is the H.G that Child of Promise...Just like the woman in Rev 12...And thats when the Kingdom Comes Rev 12 : 10 kjv...Gbu

In here is correct translation and it only means: in right hand= right hand is most people's dominant hand and it is an analogy throughout scripture meaning= work. Those who receive the mark in their right hand work for the beast. In the forehead another analogy meaning you have to worship the beast, it's in your forehead; your brain is in your forehead and it is sealed in your brain to do whatever you are told, right or wrong.

We see many today that have made politics their idol where they either work for or worship everything they are told by the party. We see today that they don't care if it is wrong or immoral; they are still going to fallow party line even though they know it's wrong and even illegal. This is what it means to have mark in your hand or in your forehead. We see example of this going on in the Democrat party today where they tried to make it mandatory that you did everything they tell you, right or wrong even with all the illegal, immoral abuses. We are in 1st beast of 1 world system today where the left have taking over and why there is so much confusion and tumult around the world. You can be tattooed from head to toe with 666 but if you don't worship or work for the beast it want mean a thing. Many worry it will be a chip or something implanted in their hand or forehead but if you don't bow down and worship the anti-Christ you will not be taking the mark.

Mark of the 2nd beast will be when anti-Christ takes over the 1 world system of the fleshly kings where if you don't either worship or work for you will not be able to buy, sell or trade with the 1 world beast system.

If you have CHRIST over you, you want have anything to worry about and GOD will take care of HIS own.

GOD warns Satan to not touch HIS anointed or instant destruction.

1Ch 16:22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Hello brother. I wouldn't be able to help with this passage (especially John 20:17) in Hebrew as you would need to find a Hebrew reader who has the 'whole' Bible in Hebrew & not just the 'Tanakh' (Old Testament portions). As you know, the NT was written in Greek, so to read it in Hebrew would require a Jew who has come to faith in Christ & reads the whole Bible in his native Hebrew.

But to John 20:17, brothers Jesse or Giannis would do better than me (for the Greek language), but my understanding of the verse is as follows: I don't interpret the prohibition placed by Jesus on Mary not to touch Him was anything to do with defiling Him. It seems that from Matthew 28:1-10 we learn two things:

    a. when they met the Angel who told them that Jesus was risen from the dead, he also told them to "go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead". So, I see that there was an urgency to leave the area & give out this news. And on the way to meet with the disciples, they met Jesus.

    b. when Jesus revealed Himself to them, they fell to their knees to "touch" (lit. to grab) his feet/ankles in worship ( Matthew 28:9). But John then describes that event ( John 20:17) & writes that Jesus said to them: "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." Again, that sense of urgency comes up; Jesus had arisen from the dead & was preparing for His Ascension. The Marys holding onto Jesus, to talk/worship Him & keep Him with them a little longer, would only delay this important journey to Heaven. So after this occasion with the ladies & His appearing that same evening on the Lord's Day, I must assume that Jesus went into His Father's Presence in the interim. Therefore, I can't assimilate the fact of Jesus' High Priestly position & the abstention to touch Him of being relevant here. Maybe the other brothers can add or refute my understanding of this event.

Hi Jannie , for me , the whole book of Joel is about the last days , just before the return of Christ , particularly what is going to happen to the land of Israel . Usually , throughout the Old Testament , when God brings an army against Israel , He says exactly who He is going to bring against them , this helps to validate the prophet that He had chose to give the warning and also confirms that it is God Himself that is executing the judgement . In Joel He doesn't tell us who it is , Ch 2 V 20 , it's just " the northern army " . I believe that this is very significant and indicates that the prophecy is for an event so far in the future that the northern army is not one that the people in the time of Joel would recognise and so they don't need to know who it is in their lifetime . This is just my opinion , many prophecies have an immediate application and then a future one , for me though , this is all about the last days , the invasion of Israel by its enemies and the return of Christ to defend Israel and rebuke the invaders . I'm sure others will give you different answers . May God bless your efforts to understand His Word .

I've heard people say they witnessed loved ones say they were seeing other people in the room that had passed away beforehand as that loved one was dying.

I witnessed something like that. Days before a loved one passed he said hello to a neighbor that came into the room & her husband that had died years earlier.

They may be asking because of deathbed visions or something supernatural. If Moses can visit Jesus before death, even though it records Moses died. Deuteronomy 34, Then a visit fits within scripture: Matthew 17,

Thank you for the reply, Marke. I couldn't help notice you dodged the second question.

Your response suggests that you can determine a Christian by fruit, but a new Christian has no fruit track record yet.

So, if someone hears the gospel for the first time tomorrow and decides to be a Christian, at that time is he a 'real Christian' to you?

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

  • Need a Friend to explain the Hebrew language of This Passage - 2 years ago
I was hoping to find Chris. I need someone to explain in HEBREW; this subject in Hebrews, this verse on Melchizedek. I need some clarity.

    Context Summary

Hebrews 5:1-10 explains how Jesus fits the requirements of a high priest. Earlier verses showed that the Messiah promised by the Old Testament would be entirely human ( Hebrews 2:17). That humanity allows Christ to sympathize with our temptations and weaknesses. Here, the writer of Hebrews points out that this also makes Jesus qualified to be our ultimate High Priest. Because of His humanity, His prayers, His sacrifice for sin, and His appointment by God, Jesus' status is far superior to any other figure.

    Chapter Summary

Hebrews chapter 5 completes the previous commentary about Jesus' humanity. His human existence qualifies Him to understand other men and to offer sacrifice to God on our behalf. Jesus also fulfills the roles of both high priest and king, which the author demonstrates by returning to the Old Testament. The figure of Melchizedek is used to illustrate this point: that Christ, unlike any before, was able to be both the kingly Son of David and the High Priest for all people. The deeper meaning of this example, however, may well be lost on the letter's audience, since they are languishing in spiritual immaturity.

Mishael: I'm posting this from BibleRef DOT com

I haven't been able to reconcile this with a teaching I heard long ago. Particularly, that when Jesus came out of the Tomb_and Mary tried to touch Jesus, he told her not to. Reason, He was ascending to Heaven to be made High Priest. Her touching Him would have defiled Him.

I always meant to read this passage in the Hebrew language. If someone here can do that, I would love to Not feel conflicted. Melchizedek received the first tithes.

    Reply to Adam.

Allow me to use the parable of the sower in Matt 13 to answer your question. The three types of hearers who did not get saved never showed signs of a new life in Christ like the good hearer did. The fake Christians did not bring forth good fruit to perfection and the fake Christians did not come unto a good understanding of God's word like the good hearer did.

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

    20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

    Hi Marke,

I noticed you distinguish between real and fake Christians. What is your definition of a real Christian?

If non-believer attends church tomorrow and responds to an altar call professesing faith in Jesus do you consider that person a real Christian or is there a particular test that determines which they are?

    God bless.

    Reply to Christopher Likens.

The Bible likens us to "stones" in heaven, according to 1 Peter 2:

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

However, more seriously in direct answer to your question, I think all believers in heaven may be considered brothers and sisters without the former family distinctions they experienced on earth.

I have a Christian friend who is married to a Christian woman but my friend sometimes appears to me to be overly dominant in their marriage. I once told him that I thought he may be given rule over 5 cities in heaven for his faithfulness and his wife may be given rule over 10 cities for her faithfulness, with five of those cities being ruled over by him. He adamantly insisted that was never going to happen. I thought that was funny.

The Lord Jesus Himself speaks here in Joel 2:

12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Cod chose Christians in Christ before they were born but His selection was based upon His foreknowledge, not according to some plan He had that did not involve the response of the sinner to the preaching of the Gospel. We have been chosen in Christ since the beginning if we are saved. If it were possible for Christians to lose their salvation it nevertheless remains impossible for God to have chosen them in Christ from the beginning.

Thank you brother S. Spencer. That is the general understanding of Replacement Teaching, even as GiGi has stated. One might force Scriptures into twists & turns to prove that Israel is no more in the Mind of God & rejected of Him for their unbelief & condemnation of Jesus, but how are they going to convince the Apostle Paul in what he vehemently declared in Romans chapter 11? In fact in verse 1 alone, I can hear the echo of today's Replacement teachers: "I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid...". Paul said, No, Israel has not been utterly cast off. Some others then & today say, Yes they were totally rejected (for such this chapter was written). Who should we believe? God's Word is Truth.

For pointing out the far-fetched hoops people begin to jump through to spiritualize erroneous scriptural ideas that are filled with false teachings and barely intelligible thought lines. Such make it difficult to have a truly Scriptural based conversation with such people. But we continue to pray for one another to come to the knowledge of God's truth in His Word.

They were actually a cast of Persian priests who were involved both as priests, as well as in the science field. They carried both aspects about them because they were involved in astrology and astronomy. In their priesthood in Persia, they relied on the stars, they relied on magic, and they relied on sorcery to gain their messages and to perform their function. They believed that when a great person was born upon the face of the earth that a cataclysmic event would happen in the stars which is kind of interesting.

Why would the event cause them to come to Jerusalem? Well, in the Mesopotamian area, back in the days of Balaam, in Numbers Chapter 24 Verse 17, Balaam prophesied and said a star would come out of Jerusalem. This was the same area that these priests came from. They had Balaam's prophesies.

That was also the area in which Daniel was at, and they had his prophesies as well. And so these casts of priests knew that the Jews were looking for and waiting for the Messiah to come. This means that they, The Magi, they knew from the end of Daniel Chapter 9 Verses 24 to 27 about the 70 weeks of Daniel.

And they would count out the days and those weeks added up to 173,880 days from the time the decree was made for the temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem till the time of the coming priest, 173,880 days.

That's why Jesus in the gospel of Luke, He is weeps over Jerusalem and He says, "And if you knew this your day of visitation, you would have received me." He was making reference to Daniel's prophecy, because on the very day, 173,880 days after the decree was made to rebuild Jerusalem, Jesus Christ rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.

The Jews should have known that to the exact day. But they didn't. And they rejected their Messiah. But the Magi knew. They knew that another great man was about to arrive on the scene and that if there was an event in the heavens, then this was probably the birth of the Messiah.

Matthew 24:13 says, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." It sounds like it's something we have to do to be saved in the end, that we have to endure until the end in order to be saved. It's not "if" we endure to the end. The literal translation from the Greek says, "But the one who HAS ENDURED, not the one who will, but the one who has endured unto the end, this one will be saved. Because it is an Aorist Participle in the Greek, it shows the proof of those who are saved, and it matches the rest of the teachings in the New Testament. The person who is saved WILL endure to the end.

We see this again in Mark 13:13 which says, "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

What Jesus is doing for us is He is designating a characteristic of those people who are saved. They endure till the end. The reason why they endure to the end is because they belong to the Lord. It's God's Spirit that protects us. It is God's Spirit that takes us all the way to the end. It is not a challenge for us. It is a characteristic of a person that is saved! In 1 Peter 1:5, Peter says, "We are those who are being kept by the power of God until our salvation comes."

We are kept by the power of God, period!

Erich did an excellent job using scripture to interpret scripture. However, you appear to just be saying you're right, but there's still no biblical support. You're saying that John 10:28 is absolute based on your rational, but, not grounded in scriptures. You're saying everyone just needs to believe John 10:28 is a OSAS verse, even though that is not even what Christ was intending. He was admonishing the Jewish leaders who refused to come to the light. Yet, you did not address the fact the John 10:27 is also ABSOLUTE and only the one following Jesus is safe in the hand of God.

Having to remain in the Son to remain in the Father for eternal life ( 1 John 2:24-25) doesn't negate the promise that all who are being saved are in the Father's hand. You said "We are ALL bought with a price, we are NOT our own...He paid for us with his own blood". If this is the case, why is not everyone just automatically saved? After all, Christ's atoning death was for the whole world. And if one genuinely accepts Christ & then renounces him, why would that person still have eternal life & the one who never accepted Christ lost? After all, they both ended up denying Jesus ( Matt. 10:32-33).

It seems like you're taking bible verses regarding Christ's one time sacrifice for the entire world and trying to apply that to individual believers. Yes, Christ shed his blood once for all, but, that does not mean the believer doesn't have an obligation to remain faithful. Rev. 2:10 says " be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." This is a conditional promise from Christ, so I must conclude that the one who is safe in the hand of God is the one who is remaining faithful to Christ. And the one faithful to the end will receive the end of their faith, eternal life ( Romans 6:22; 1 Peter 1:9)

Christians are assured of salvation & should take great joy in the promise of God to keep them in His hand! However, to inherit eternal life one must endure to the end.

The scripture at the end of Hebrews 6 and continuing into chapter seven is referencing the account in Genesis 14 where Melchisedec appears (with no reference to his origin) to bless Abraham. Melchisedec is a pattern for Christ's priesthood because he didn't come out of the tribe of Levi. The scripture says he is the priest of Salem. Salem eventually became know as Jerusalem. So Melchisedec is a good pattern for Christ being the High Priest of the heavenly Jerusalem (end of Hebrews 12). Take time to ponder Hebrews 7 and the comparisons that are made in it.
