    Dear Spencer.

First I don't really know what the replacement theology stands for. We don't use this term over here.

Second, the millennium is to start after the fight of Armageddon as you stated. This is very clear in my mind. The kingdom of God starts in our hearts but there will be a literal kingdom during the millennium. As far as the rest you mentioned in your last post I think we are in complete agreement.. So what are we talking about? I think I've lost you. GBU
  • FALSE PROPHETS and TEACHERS - In Reply - 2 years ago
2 Peter 2:1 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

    Mark 13:22

For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

    Matthew 24:24

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

    2 Peter 2:1

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

    2 Corinthians 11:13

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

Matthew 7:21-23 - Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 1

John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Corinthians 11:14 - And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

    1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Revelation 22:19 - And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the BOOK OF LIFE, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Mishael: The Holy Spirit will give spiritual discernment if you ask for it. Pay attention to the "catches" in your born again spirit. Prove from the Bible what is taught to you.

    Dear brothers and sisters.

Have you ever thought about God's commandments in the New Testament, the dos and the don'ts? What are they? Why the specific ones and not some other ones? Are they what God likes and dislikes? Are they what God thinks it is right or wrong? Definitely yes. But they are not only that. God through His commandments reveals Himself to us. What God ask us to be like is what He is like Himself. Through the commandments God reveals Himself to His children and asks them to be like Him. It's not easy, it's not easy to be like God in character, not at all. It is actually impossible for humans to be like God. We, God and man, have different natures. But this is why we are given the Holly Spirit for. Our fruit in life is not a result of our own capabilities, it would be impossible for us to do so, but a result of God Spirit's work in us. So the conclusion is that it is a necessity for God's children to be baptized in the Holly Spirit.

    Matthew 5:44-48

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;......Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.'

    God Bless You All.
  • PSALM 23 The Lord our Shepherd - In Reply on Psalms 23 - 2 years ago
Psalm 23:4, addressing the Lord Shepherd, says, "Your rod and your staff, they comfort me." David bases this description on the practices of shepherds in his day. Shepherds of the time commonly carried a rod and staff as essential to their work.

The rod mentioned in Psalm 23 is a symbol of the Lord's strength and protection. The rod was a sturdy wooden stick used as a weapon to fight off wild animals who might have hoped to make an easy meal out of an otherwise defenseless flock of sheep. The shepherd also used the rod to help him keep count of the sheep within the flock (as alluded to in Leviticus 27:32). Young David recounted an incident to King Saul in which he probably used his shepherd's rod: "Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it" ( 1 Samuel 17:34-35).

The staff mentioned in Psalm 23 is a symbol of the Lord's guidance and lovingkindness. The staff was a long, slender stick, often hooked at the tip, used primarily to direct the flock. Sheep are notorious wanderers, and once away from the shepherd's watchful eye, they get into all sorts of trouble ( Matthew 18:12-14). The shepherd used his staff to keep his sheep out of danger and close to himself. If a sheep became trapped in a precarious position, the shepherd would loop the curved end of the staff around the neck of the sheep and retrieve it back to safety.

Now read Psalm 23 again. Guidance, protection and correction. If you feel an occasional TUG by the Spirit, that is your Lord correcting your course.
  • Adam - In Reply on John 6:53 - 2 years ago
Judas Iscariot was a Christ follower, literally and figuratively. Mark 3:14-19. He was one of Jesus's chosen disciples and was given power to cast out demons.

Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, died a horrible death, and will probably go to hell. So, this example only supports the scriptures that already say you still have freewill to turn from Jesus if you are a Christian. What better proof do we need by scripture saying it, examples of it happening to people, real examples of people doing it today (including Christian pastors). I don't buy the argument that some say "they were never Christians to begin with" as that position contradicts itself, because those who say that can't define what a Christian is or how they know they are one. If one Googles prominent pastors who have lost their faith, denounced Christianity and denounced Jesus of course there are many. There's also a Reddit forum called ex-Christian. It's easy to talk to them and find out if they are real or not. Obviously they are. So, someone claiming that they aren't real is denying reality that they are, and if they say they were never Christian, talk to them yourselves- of course they were. They were just like you. This is why the Bible says to keep the armor of God on, all the parable warnings, etc.

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

    Matthew 7:21-23

    Hebrews 6:4-6

    James 2:14-26

    James 2:19

    1 Peter 1:13

    Romans 11

Simon Peter denied Jesus 3 times and I think that would normally be considered blasphemy of the holy spirit the unforgiveable sin. But I believe Jesus restored him in a special circumstance in John 21:11-25 as you notice he first reconfirmed if Peter believed He was Lord, then asked him 3 times if He loved Him (using different Love meanings) and then in 19 said to Follow me. This appears to be a rededication to restore Peter as a follower and Christian.

    God bless
  • JESUS IN OUR DAILY LIVES - In Reply - 2 years ago
God is Love. He chooses to do His work through willing people. We don't choose Him. He chooses us. That might sound ludicrous until you respond: Here am I Lord, choose me.

Faith seems so far away, until you choose to be a part of it. When you do, it opens a whole new way to live. The more you know about God, the wider and deeper your life becomes.

When I received Jesus, I was afraid He'd back out and leave me alone again. But He will never never leave us or forsake us.

Your new life will just get sweeter every day after. Because we KNOW Jesus is with us. The more you read in the Gospel books of the Bible, the more you understand what you have inherited on the inside of you. Every promise is yours to keep forever. He is Faithful to keep that which has been committed to Him; by your spoken words. Jesus prays for us 24/7 at the right Hand of the Father.

This is a 2-way relationship. We pray, give thanks for answers; He prays for us. And sometimes the answer may be no, but there is a reason why. God sees our lives as in a straight line from East to West. Endless. He sees the results of some choices we make. He loves us and wants us to be with Him, where He is.

If this is new info for you; do what I did: walk through that door and start living the Promises. I wanted every single thing He had purposed for me. He does not limit us from asking, but we have to be prepared for some no's too. Trust His judgment. He is our ABBA__Daddy. He loves us tremendously.

My earthly Dad was always working and kinda unavailable at times; tired and wanted to sleep. Our Father, God, is always available. Trust in His answers for just you.

Jesus ever lives to pray for you. Open up the line of communication. Always ask Holy Spirit to help you pray.

  • People Who Saw Jesus Alive After the Cross - In Reply - 2 years ago
I'll look it up in a bit, but all of the disciples were together when Mary Magdalene went to tell them that Jesus wasn't in the Tomb.

    Another time when they were in the Upper Room still hiding, when Jesus appeared physically to the 11;

when Thomas returned and saw Jesus too. Jesus bade him to put his finger in His side where the soldier pierced Him with a spear.

They were all together on Pentecost with 120 people in the Upper Room when the Holy Spirit appeared in a rushing wind, tongues of fire; and baptized everyone in the room. Also, there were women present too.

So excited we're they, they spilled out in the street (no longer fearful) and the townspeople witnessed this event; and experienced the power of the Holy Spirit.

God is no respecter of persons. He will come to anyone who asks, and then Receives the Promise.

Later, Jesus ate with the Disciples on the beach.

Jesus is Risen and lives His life without the hearts of anyone who will ASK Him to come into their hearts.

I love reading The Word of God! It is my only strong hold in life. The word of God teaches us every day how to live this life, it alone is pure and what we should be doing as Loving Christian people!

I care to the utmost that I read and learn from The Bible everyday. Because Our Father, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit have many, many, lessons to teach us all. No person on earth ever knows everything but we can try to learn our ways in our on-going steps toward a life in Glory!

If I pray everyday and thank Him for life and look forward to His will being done I can think of nothing better to start the day!

But I can not hope to be his hand maid without His guidance by The Holy Spirit and study of his expectations for me as an earthly woman.

By His love and Grace we exist, surely we all wish to honor, obey Him and help to spread His Love to all through thought, word, and deeds to every one all day long.

Thank you Lord for your Precious Son Jesus! Who is an example of Your Love on this earth. thank you Lord, for the gift of Mary and Joseph. For her faithful accepting Your Plans for her without question or complaint ever. Thank you for sending Joseph to guard, guide, and protect Mary and the Baby Lord Jesus!

    Thank you Lord for everything!

Glory to our Father, the King of all Gods and to our Lord and saviour Christ Jesus.

To be plucked from the Fathers hand, you must first be in His hand. Many will come and many will see and put their trust in the LORD....this is the born again to see, as told to Nicodemus in John 3. Yet many are called but few are chosen.... This is the born again to be entered in.

For the many drop away, as we are shown they are corrupt soil. The Word came to them, but they did not keep His Word, so they could not deny self, they never saw the cross, nor did they follow. They worked iniquity! They walked in flesh and self.

Flesh is made from dust, and dust is land.....soil.

These were never born again to be entered in,

These never saw the kingdom of GOD,

These were born again to see only and never received the Spirit to walk in.

Is why seek Ye FIRST the kingdom of GOD and his righteousness, IS FIRST!

Always, seeking our Lord is First, in all thy ways, in every thing, at all times, day and night, at morning and noon and evening, without ceasing, from the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORDS name is to be praised.

In 1 Corinthians 13 , this is born again to be entered in.

We know and are known, the glass before us clears , we see clearly through the glass.

And looking unto JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of GOD.

always always always, eyes on JESUS , must look at what you seek to find it .

There are two audiences the Word speaks to,

The born again to see, which is flesh.....and the born again to be entered in, which is Spirit.

When I became a man I put childish things away , The Word of GOD is quick and powerful , the Word of GOD endures forever, the word of GOD does not return to Him void.

For He is great and doeth wondrous things, He is Lord alone, teach us thy ways o LORD

These verses by David show God's design before birth (verse 5-6) as well as in the future whether in heaven or hell (verse 8). There are some who would read the verses in Jonah and indicate that indeed he was dead under the earth (with his body remaining in the whale but his soul in sheol) in Jonah 2:6. The passages referring to the lowest hell being underneath the mountains also exist in Deut. 32:22.

Whatever the actual case in Jonah; for God's CHOSEN people He is certainly with them and cannot escape His presence. What is different; of course with believers and those NOT written in the Book of Life is that any grace is withdrawn; all are naked in Sheol for the wicked ( Job 26:6). For now; captivity has been taken captive; and there is no compartment anymore for the righteous in hell; for to be "absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." ( 2 Cor. 5:8); see also Eph. 4:8; Psalm 68:18. Verses 15-18 continue to describe God's foreknowledge and unlimited wisdom. Immediately after this; there is an impreccatory section in v. 19-22; followed by David's plea to discipline or chastise Him at the end of the Psalm to remove any wickedness; which He does to prune all of His saints. ( Hebrews 12:6; Rev. 3:19).

In order to have such an attitude of perfect love and perfect HATRED; we need to have His perfect righteousness. Therefore; we learn to love what He loves (which is against the flesh and it's desires); and hate what He hates as the Spirit and His Word reveal to us. It is not sinners themselves but sin in general as well as the god of this world that are our enemies. This will come when Isaiah 24:21 is fulfilled. David had his faults; but He spent much time meditating and praising the Lord and was himself a humble man from the start. When he did sin; he would acknowledge it without resistance when confronted with it. Without Nathan the prophet and God's chastisement with the census who knows how much more debased David could have become

Don't get me wrong the Written Word is a light but not greater light...Israel was sola scriptura...they knew the bible by heart but Israel stoned almost every prophet that God send them and rejected the Christ...There is no eternal life in the scriptures, Thats y Jesus said search the Scriptures in them you think you have Eternal life..But is them that testify of me...Who testifies of Christ? The Living words which are spirit and life the H.G...Jesus said when he the spirit of truth is come the H.G. he shall testify of me.Thats y he said i have a greater witness then John which is the H.G. the spirit of truth...The manchild that is gona rule all nations that is gona be born in US who hear his words...When the sower will go forth to sow his Precious seed in mans hearts..Jesus asked 1 day which of the Prophets have not your fathers stoned...But they were sola scriptura...Bible only

....They didn't realize that there was a living word coming which was Christ Jesus..That wanted to propagate his seed in humanity..That wd result in an Israel of God...A PERFECT Israel that cd not sin...Gods.. to whom the word came it made them Gods living Gods the H.G. plural, many as the stars of heaven so shall thy seed be...Thats y John saw a number that no man cd count . its simply b/c of that good seed that is gonna be as the stars of heaven..Remember Jesus said the field is the world where that good seed is gona be sown..And thats y Jeremiah saw the whole world in travail and birth pains...As a field ready to harvest and Jeremiah 31 : 31 A new Covenant...I will know them ALL from the least to the greatest.

....If i be lifted up i will DRAW All Men unto me...Thats y Isaiah is saying I was found of them that sought me not and was made manifest unto them that asked not after me...Its Christ that is doing the drawing unto him...Not man...I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT...Its God that is gona draw all men unto him..I will pour out my Spirit on ALL flesh...Your sons and daughters also. Verse 18 shows that we don't want to be cocky and think too much of ourselves because this has led to the downfall of many and it can lead to our ultimate downfall in life.
  • Richard H Priday on Psalms 137 - 2 years ago
This passage contains some of the hardest verbage in all of scripture in verse 9. Dashing little ones or babies against stones and being happy about it certainly would make one question the God of Israel as to his cruelty if one were to assume that He Himself found some joy in such heinous activities.

Obviously; the God who created man and desires the death of no one would not sink to such a level. The only times we see God laughing is at the calamity of the wicked; Psalm 2 shows man attempting to fight Christ at His return which obviously is the ultimate madness of men who are under the power of the Antichrist and the mark of the Beast. In this passage; we need to keep in mind that first of all the Media Persian empire would heap on the Babylonians the same sort of things they did to others. This brings about reaping what is sown. The reaction would therefore relate to the peoples who were doing such things. God made it clear over and over again that babies sacrificed to Molech; for example were an abomination; so it is undoubtably shocking that those in Israel were so seduced by foreign women that they willingly took place in such unspeakable arocities. The other thing here is that those in Israel who had to live through 70 years of exile with the war; pillage; and machinations of Nebuchadnezzar with the golden image (who later repented); until the last ruler who was having drunken binges using the temple items to drink from and whatever other sufferings they went through. They were to be free partly as a result of the prophesied end of Babylon as well as the pagan Cyrus to follow who allowed them to return to Jerusalem. It is certainly possible that song which was such a part of worship through Psalms was disallowed along with prayer as Daniel's story makes clear.

This serves as a sober warning; particularly if the US is symbolized by the "daughter of Babylon" in verse 8. This goes all the way back to Genesis 9:6.

    Hi Giannis.

Again I'm sorry I takes so long to respond sometimes on weekdays.

Just to do a brief recap because we can easily switch emphasis and loose one another.

We began this topic with REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY and yes we will have to lean over into eschatology.

But I don't want to loose focus on the danger of what that belief system presents Today!!

Our eschatology will test our hermeneutics, and also a test of our understanding of the Bible.

It will tie the whole counsel of God.

What we are discussing is rooted in these questions.

Is there a literal Millennium where the Lord will rule here on earth?

Or are we in the Millennium and the Lord Jesus is going to rule in our heart only.

Some say we have been in the Millennium for 2000 years. MILLENNIUM MEANS 1000 YEARS.

Satan is certainly not chained, look around you.

    Figure that one out!!

The old Testament gives us a view of what is to come during this period. We have already discussed that.

By way of recap, The basis of the promises that we were discussing is does God make good on his promises to Abraham concerning a nation and kingdom here on earth where the Lord Jesus will sit on David's Throne and rule with a rod of Iron. or was those promises to the Church.

Now to be clear in our understanding, You stated I believe

Jesus will arrive back and rule on earth WITH HIS PEOPLE, THE ISRAELITES.

No. I didn't say that. We haven't got that far. I believe that's the CHURCH.

I believe the Nation of Israel will be driven to Christ during the tribulation!!

    Then the Armageddon.

Then they will say Matthew 23:39.

They won't behold their Messiah "as a Nation" Until they say blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.

Then the chain of Satan, "1000 Years". The Millennium period.

Sorry but I don't want to drag this on into eschatology just yet.

All the while I was Just trying to be clear and emphasize that we "The Church" is not Israel.

    God bless.

True believers in Christ where are y'all? Let us all come together in speak the truth freely about our Christ, Lord I'm 13 years old and I feel that we are getting closer and closer to the end times even though we don't know when that time may be but as it is written when you hear rumors of wars, nations risen against nations and kingdom going against kingdom, we are near the end times and everyday we hear something about wars and rumors, we even got people in different places around the world who are claiming to be Christ but please people don't fall for the lies of the son of man, Jesus said when he comes he is going to come from the clouds he didn't say he was going to go around saying he is Christ he said he's coming from the clouds. Moreover just know Jesus loves you and he is willing to forgive you if you would just come to him and ask him for forgiveness, may God please bless us all amen.

Dear Mark, if Judas was never saved then Jesus chose a devil to serve Him as an apostole? He baptised him, sent him ro baptise other people, sent him to preach salvation to Israelites like the rest of the apostles, to perform miracles knowing that he was a devil? Does this make sense? He became devil later on when he let satan and not Jesus to work in him. Remember Ananias and Sapphira in the Book of Acts? GBU
