    Jeremiah 12,

I understand Jeremiah easier when I've read the whole book.

Jeremiah 1:1-3, Jeremiah had been called by GOD while young, Jeremiah 1:6, to speak very difficult words of Judgement, Jeremiah 1:8-10, in opposition to other "prophetic" voices telling them lies. Jeremiah 5:31,

In Jeremiah 11:19-21 they plotted to kill him.

This seems like to us & most likely to Jeremiah much time in human perspective had passed & GOD had said in Jeremiah 1:12, He would hasten HIS Word to perform it. GOD had promised judgement, yet by Chapter 12, Jeremiah seems frustrated because of the evil. Jeremiah 5:3-4, asks them to repent: Jeremiah 7:5-11,, Jeremiah 3:22 even looks like they repented in Jeremiah 3:22-25,

    Jeremiah 5:1,2,

Jeremiah 12:4, the land had been troubled since Jeremiah 2,

Several Prophets suffered much from the people they were sent to. Matthew 23,

    Hopefully this is helpful.

Keep quoting scripture. Do not listen to anything they say. Confusion is normal. When you feel fear and confusion you can guarantee it is an evil spirit. In the NT they spoke often when they saw Jesus. Also look for anything in your life like unforgiveness and other rebellion in your heart. Repent immediately. We should be repenting regardless. However never forget Lucifer is created and still ultimately a servant of God as are his underlings.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name which is aboue euery name: 10That at the Name of Iesus euery knee should bow, of things in heauen, and things in earth, and things vnder the earth: 11And that euery tongue should confesse, that Iesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    Hi Giannis.

    Part 2.

    "Notice the Highlights."

And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, THESE ARE THE PEOPLE OF THE LORD, AND ARE GONE FORTH OUT OF HIS LAND.

BUT I HAD PITY FOR MINE HOLY NAME, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I DO NOT THIS FOR YOUR SAKES,

( O HOUSE OF ISRAEL, )BUT FOR MINE HOLY NAME'S SAKE, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

AND I WILL SANCTIFY MY GREAT NAME, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

A NEW HEART ALSO WILL I GIVE YOU, AND A NEW SPIRIT WILL I PUT WITHIN YOU: and

(( I WILL TAKE AWAY THE STONY HEART OUT OF YOUR FLESH, AND I WILL GIVE YOU AN HEART OF FLESH.

AND I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU, AND CAUSE YOU TO WALK IN MY STATUTES, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

    Ezekiel 36:19-28.

A new heart has been given to the Church, BUT NOT TO THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. That's the Nation, Paul's kinsman in the flesh.

    Amos 9:-914.

    and

And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

    Amos 9:15.

They've been moved out of the land SINCE Joshua brought them in!!

But strong or solid meat belongs to them that are of full age, that is, mature. And then he describes what maturity is: even those who by reason of use, and that's the word habit, have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Here's what he's saying. A mature believer is someone who has had their inner senses exercised through the hearing of the word of God, to where their inner faculties and inner senses are sensitive to the spiritual things of Christ.

So here's what the writer of Hebrews is saying:

The same way a person would plan out a schedule for getting in shape, if you wanted to start running and get into shape, you start out slow. You might just walk because you're not ready to run yet.

After a couple of weeks you start running. This is something that you have to do every day. If you leave off for a while, you can't just pick right back up where you left off. You have to start slow and build yourself back up again.

I think it's interesting that the writer of Hebrews would spend this much time in detail for us sharing that if we understand what an athlete goes through, every day, exercise, exercise, exercise, building up the endurance, and building up the condition of the muscles so that we can handle larger amounts of distance.

So we build up our endurance, and we become what we reach as a place of being in shape. And we consider ourselves being conditioned.

What the writer is saying is that when you put yourself under the hearing of God's Spirit through His word, God's Spirit is exercising your inner senses to the spiritual things of God.

And the more consistent you hear the word, the more sensitive you become to the spiritual things of Christ. But if you leave off, the inner senses become dull, and we become more in tune with the world around us.

Whereas, as often as we would like to submit ourselves to the study of God's word, we become ready for the solid food, and for the in-depth detail of God Himself.

I agree with you that most references to the birds of the air or the fowls of heaven are references to evil spirits or the devil.

    Jeremiah 5:27

As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

    Hi Giannis.

    Part 1

As I promised I would get back to you on your reply and questioning.

Let's start with the verses you gave as the promises that Israel forfeited over to the Church.

    1. Genesis 12:1-3,

    2. Genesis 12:7,

    3. Genesis 13:14-17,

    4. Genesis 15:5-7

    5. Genesis 15:13-15,

    6. Genesis 15:18-21,

    7. Genesis 17:4-10,

    8. Genesis 21:17-18

You stated, "Abraham and his seed pass to Jesus and His children. and you say according to

Galatians 3:16. Paul atributes these verses to Christ it is obvious that they are for Israel as well.

    Let's look at Galatians 3:14-17.

If you notice in the link the promise/covenant was not a land covenant. Verses 2-8 you gave are all the land covenant.

Did you notice in Genesis 15:15-17. God told Abraham he would die before they would enter the land?

Look how Stephen put in Acts 7:4-5.

"and is is after God performed the covenant!!" So when will he inherit it? Hebrews11:8-10.

Now the 1st verse is a preview of both. The Promise his seed going to be given land. "Israel"

( and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. ) "Christ"

This is the only portion associated with Galatians 3:16.

Here is the covenant Paul is speaking of in Galatians.

( And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

    That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; AND THY SEED SHALL POSSESS THE GATE OF "HIS" ENEMIES;

And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. )

    Genesis 22:16-18.

The Gospel was preached even before there was a law to be broken.

    Galatians 3:8.

    " Important verse"

I removed "if it" because I believe it's in italics and shouldn't be there.

( Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet be confirmed, NO MAN DISANNULLETH, OR ADDETH THERETO.) Galatians 3:15.

When it come to prophecy being revealed it is after the rapture of the church

    1 Thessalonians 4:17

    (14) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

    (15) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

    (16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

    (17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

    2 Thessalonians 2:7

    4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

    5) Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

    6) And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

    7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

    8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

    9) Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10)And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Also what do you mean by "differently" ?

If, and if you think the church the body of Christ is what's Paul talking about thinking again .. also see this verse

    Hebrews 11:22

"By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones."

    My God bless

    Response to ELB

There are more than one kind of seed and some seeds in the Bible are evil.

    Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The mustard seed is very small but the mustard plant is a weed without branches, not a towering tree.

Birds can be clean or unclean and birds in the branches of a tree are not generally a depiction of some sort of ecumenicism approved of God. I already mentioned Pharaoh and his great tree the Lord cut down because of his pride. This is Nebuchadnezzar's tree full of birds that the Lord also cut down because of his pride ( Daniel 4):

    20 The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and the sight thereof to all the earth;

21 Whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had their habitation:

22 It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth.

    23 And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;

24 This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king:

25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

I'd have to disagree , Christ 2nd coming is in Glory to redeem his people and judge the world .

Pentecost was the Coming of the Holy Spirit .

Jesus said he had to go for the Holy Spirit to come . Interesting.

    Suze,

Yes, so true of smoking. Both my parents were long time smokers. My dad died at 62 from one heart attack. Mom stopped smoking in her mid 70's after a hospital stay for a ruptured ulcer. If not for that, she would have continued smoking until she died from it, too.

Sepsis is a long-haul illness. So we do not know if she will even recover at all. It could easily take her in the process of treatment.

I will pray for your Mom as well.

Thanks for coming alongside in this time for me. I do the same for you in this time for you concerning your Mom and step-dad.

    Willful sin is apostasy .

To those that have known the truth , because they crucified Christ again , and Christ can not die for them again . So they have gone too far .

Those ignorant is another case .

By how people live that's how we see their fruit , not just words that sound good . The Pharisees where experts at that .

When people receive the mark of the Beast , that will be willful sin . They are for ever lost . How sad .

Conclusion, take sin deadly seriously. If you seek to over come God will help you all the way home . John 3.16

This, Psalms 2, seems to me, to point to JESUS The MESSIAH, Promised one the one Savior to save all mankind, who will believe, Psalms 2:2

Dear Daniel , as you read through the posts on here , you will probably realise that there are many different denominations on here . I for one , do not say anything on here that I don't actually believe . We have had many disputes on here in the past , some have gotten a bit heated and some of us have taken breaks from this site or even disappeared completely . I think that all of us on here recognise that we can all learn something from each other and as this site is not affiliated to any particular church denomination , we are free to express our beliefs and hopefully discuss them politely . This is a Bible site , so , I think most of us are more interested in what the Bible actually says than in different church doctrines . I enjoy reading lots of different posts , even when I don't agree with them , it stimulates me to think more about , and try to learn from the Bible . If we all thought the same way and were in total agreement it would get a bit dull I think , we are all at different levels of understanding but we are on the same path I believe . I'm not a 'born again evangelical ' I'm not even sure what that means . If you use language that isn't actually biblical , then I don't always understand what is being talked about . I love the Bible and I think most people on here do too .
