Sometimes we have a wrong impression of God's people mentioned in the Bible. We think that they are invulnerable like robots or angels or they should be like that. But they were ordinary people like me and you. Having the same passions, struggles, failures, good and bad times, their up and downs just like everybody else in the world. Just like us. What made them exceptional is that they regreted and repented for what they had done and went back to God to be forgiven. Of course one has to be very careful not to fail but we are sand/soil and will eventually fail sometime badly or less badly.(hopefully not that bad). The Bible gives a true description of their personalities. Not like biographies written by men for some great men in the world that idealize them and write nothing about their errors. David was one of them. Sure he has done things that hatdly anybody does. But he was a man after God's heart because he was always ready to admit his errors/failures and repent. Not like Adam who tried to justify him by blaming Eve. And don't forget that he was severely punished by God sometimes, and also he was not allowed to build a temple for God as his son Solomon did .All those people, good or bad, are examples for us now for what to do and what not to do.

"'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You are the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel. At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord.
In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.
I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man's sword will be against his brother. I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him.
And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.'"
"Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.
"'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people-all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land." Sheba (Ethiopia) and Dedan (Al-'Ula, Saudi Arabia) and the merchants of Tarshish (Lebanon) and all her villages will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?"'
"Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog (Russia): 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army.
You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.
"Behold a horrible vision and the appearance thereof from the East: Where the nations of the dragons of Arabia shall come out with many chariots, and the multitude of them shall be carried as the wind upon earth, that all they which hear them may fear and tremble. Also, the Carmanians (Iran) raging in wrath shall go forth as the wild boars of the wood, and with great power shall they come, and join battle with them, and shall waste a portion of the land of the Assyrians.
And then shall the dragons have the upper hand, remembering their nature (Taliban); and if they shall turn themselves, conspiring together in great power to persecute them, Then these shall be troubled bled, and keep silence through their power, and shall flee. And from the land of the Assyrians shall the enemy besiege them, and consume some of them, and in their host shall be fear and dread, and strife among their kings (Afghanistan).
Behold clouds from the East and from the North unto the South, and they are very horrible to look upon, full of wrath and storm. They shall smite one upon another, and they shall smite down a great multitude of stars upon the earth, even their own star; and blood shall be from the sword unto the horse's belly, And dung of men unto the camel's hough.
And there shall be great fearfulness and trembling upon earth: and they that see the wrath shall be afraid, and trembling shall come upon them. And then shall there come great storms from the South, and from the North, and another part from the West. And strong winds shall arise from the East and shall open it, and the cloud which he raised up in wrath, and the star stirred to cause fear toward the East and West wind, shall be destroyed (detonated).
The great and mighty clouds shall be puffed up full of wrath, and the star, that they may make all the earth afraid, and them that dwell therein; and they shall pour out over every high and eminent place a horrible star."
"Behold! An army is coming from the north; a great nation and many kings are being stirred up from the ends of the earth. They are armed with bows and spears; they are cruel and without mercy. They sound like the roaring sea as they ride on their horses; they come like men in battle formation to attack you, Daughter Babylon.
The king of Babylon has heard reports about them, and his hands hang limp. Anguish has gripped him, pain like that of a woman in labor.
Like a lion coming up from Jordan's thickets to a rich pastureland, I will chase Babylon from its land in an instant. Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this? Who is like me and who can challenge me? And what shepherd can stand against me?"
Therefore, hear what the Lord has planned against Babylon, what he has purposed against the land of the Babylonians: The young of the flock will be dragged away; their pasture will be appalled at their fate.
At the sound of Babylon's capture the earth will tremble; its cry will resound among the nations."
"Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines and pestilences. And fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven." Jesus
2 Esdras 9: 1-13
"Consider all these things very carefully. When you see that some of the signs I have told you about have appeared, you will know that the time has come when God Most High will bring judgment on the world he has created.
There will be earthquakes, national rebellions, international intrigues, unstable leaders, and confused rulers. When you see these things happening, you will know that they are what God Most High has spoken about since the beginning of creation.
The beginning and the end of everything that happens in this world are clear. The same is true in the world above: wonders and miracles show the beginning of events, and mighty signs show when they end.
"Some people will escape destruction and be saved by their good works and by their faith. All of them will survive the dangers I have described and will enjoy the salvation provided in the land that I have set apart from eternity as my own.
Then those who have ignored my ways and held them in contempt will be surprised when they find themselves in continual torment. This will include all those who ignored me while they were alive, even though they accepted the blessings I gave them. It will include all those who scorned my Law during the time they were free to do so and all those who refused to repent while they still had the chance.
The torment they will have to suffer after death will force them to recognize the truth.
Therefore, Ezra, you should stop asking questions about how the wicked will be punished. Instead, be concerned about how and when the righteous will be saved.
The world was created for them and belongs to them."
After this I saw another angel descending from heaven with great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his glory. And he cried out in a mighty voice:
"Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a lair for demons and a haunt for every unclean spirit, every unclean bird, and every detestable beast. All the nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her immorality. The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown wealthy from the extravagance of her luxury."
Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
"Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
Give back to her as she has done to others; pay her back double for what she has done; mix her a double portion in her own cup. As much as she has glorified herself and lived in luxury, give her the same measure of torment and grief.
In her heart she says,
'I sit as queen; I am not a widow and will never see grief.'
Therefore, her plagues will come in one day-death and grief and famine-and she will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her."
Then the kings of the earth who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her will weep and wail at the sight of the smoke rising from the fire that consumes her. In fear of her torment, they will stand at a distance and cry out:
"Woe, woe to the great city, the mighty city of Babylon! For in a single hour your judgment has come."
"The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls.
She held in her hand a golden cup
full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality.
And on her forehead a mysterious name was written:
BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH

Jeremiah 51:6-7
"Flee from Babylon! Escape with your lives! Do not be destroyed in her punishment. For this is the time of the Lord's vengeance; He will pay her what she deserves.
Babylon was a gold cup in the hand of the Lord, making the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore the nations have gone mad."

Re: Hebrews 13:24. It is commonly understood that the Hebrews writer (Paul?; another?) was writing here of those Italian expatriates with/near the author, were sending greetings back to their Italian brethren. If this letter was written from Italy (as per the superscription), then the question: why should "they of Italy (living in Italy)" send greetings to their Italian brethren?
Philemon 1:25: "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. (Written from Rome to Philemon, by Onesimus a servant.)" Again, this superscription doesn't appear in my KJV, though I do have it pencilled in at the letter's head, after some research many years ago. Clearly, Paul was the author of this letter, but Onesimus was the penman, as Paul often used others to pen some of his other epistles (some say because of his weak eyes: "so large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand' ( Galatians 6:11)).
Thank you for your research.

No. 2. Do You Think Jesus (DIDN'T KNOW) That He Was Calling (The Wrong Disciple) SATAN /A DEVIL: OR, Do You Think Jesus Decided To Go Against Scripture: And Choose "TWO" Devil's.
I think my response above, answers your question about Jesus calling both His disciples, Devil; that these men didn't turn into devils (nor can they), but allowed THE Devil to fill them & use them to work against God. Jesus was hearing devilish words/seeing a devilish act from these men, just as would be expected from THE Devil. As I mentioned, there can only be one Devil/Satan - others are either his spirit devils or those whom he fills to do his work.
Re: "Get thee behind me Satan" ( Matthew 16:23). Remember the Lord used the same words to Satan in Luke 4:8. In both accounts, Jesus was speaking to Satan - at the first time, Satan stood in Jesus' Presence; at the second time, Satan was present in Peter, in Jesus' Presence. Jesus saw the man Peter being used of Satan & Satan received Jesus' scolding. Peter suffered because of it but was forgiven - Satan will suffer into eternity never finding forgiveness ( Revelation 20:10).
It may be noteworthy that Hebrews 13:24, says "they of Italy salute you", it seems consistent with other books like: Philemon 1:1,19,25,
To your questions Linda:
No. 1. (IF) Judas Was (That One Devil) Then (Why On Earth) Did Jesus Call Simon Peter (SATAN)?
As far as the Bible records, there is only one Devil (Satan) & many devils (or, demons/evil spirits). Jesus referred to both Judas & Peter as Devil & Satan. In Luke 22:3 we read, "Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve." Judas didn't turn into the (or, a) Devil but the Devil entered him to cause him to betray Jesus (fulfilling the Scriptures, of course).
In Luke 22:31, Jesus said, "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat" and "But he (Jesus) turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." ( Matthew 16:23). Same thing again: from Peter's almost valiant stand to protect Jesus' Honor & Life, Jesus came back to him, calling him Satan.
Both Judas & Simon acted against Jesus: one an outright betrayal & the other, a refusal to accept Jesus' Mission. When they or anyone believes or works contrary to God's Word, they don't become a Devil, but they are moved by the Devil to act according to his Will & not God's. Jesus saw the work of a living Devil in both these men - both these men eventually realized their errors - one in suicide, the other in the furtherance of the Gospel & building up of Christ's Church. Devils don't repent - but their work in people's hearts is severely obstructed when they have to deal with the Living God in regenerated lives. Peter was forgiven & lived out his life in the Power & Joy of the Holy Spirit. Sadly, Judas chose to end his life, maybe fulfilling Satan's wish for him.

Loving Father, I just want to thank You for the wonderful way that You have kept me in such good health for so many years, and protected me from so many troublesome diseases.
You have lifted me up when I have been down, supported me through times of weakness, and You have also healed me when I have succumbed to a bed of sickness.
Keep me, I pray, in good health and strength. Let me run and not grow weary, and may I be used as a comfort and support to those that are not so fortunate as I. In Jesus' name,
Amen.
May we be strong like Abraham and Moses so we may do the work You have blessed us with. Help me to practice patience with myself. I ask for angels to undergird my movements lest I dash my foot against all hindrances before me.

You can go on Google and look up the "FIVE CROWNS, Bible." Being diligent to do something requires faith, to invest time, energy, offerings to projects, and much more.
It's love that creates willingness to love our neighbors and community. That's what we see Jesus doing and demonstrating to us. Samaritan's we're considered to be dogs; but Jesus asked one for a drink of water.
Jesus doesn't ask us to do anything He wouldn't do.
He waited until Lazarus had died and been buried 4 days. He was met with incredible faith. Jesus wept because he knew someday Lazarus would die a 2nd time.
Do you see the principle at work here? We are always to Follow Jesus. Do what we know to do. Satan doesn't want us to be like Jesus. We're sleepy, hungry, want to watch the game on tv, mow the grass. I do know how hard it is to set aside time. I used to take the neighbors kids to children's church. I couldn't get the parents to go, but the kids all prayed to receive Jesus.
Sometimes Pastors can use help with gardening for the church. So many ways we can offer our time as "unto the Lord." He sees it. He did carpentry work for years before he began Ministry. I find Jesus to be very practical. He didn't call us to be couch pillows :D
I'm a retired street preacher, but I find it hard not to preach "sermonettes", or give out sandwiches to the homeless that stand in blazing 100 degree heat for a dollar. It hurts my heart.

after each question jesus said, feed my sheep.
so did peter truly love jesus?
did peter feed jesus' sheep? as jesus commanded him to? galatians 2:11-14 the apostle paul says: but when peter was come to antioch, i (paul) withstood him (peter) to the face, because he (peter) was to be blamed. for before that certain came from james, he (peter) did eat with the gentiles: but when they (certain others from james) were come, he (peter) withdrew and separated himself, fearing them (fearing god's sheep) which were of the circumcision. and the other jews dissemble likewise with him (with peter): insomuch that (even) barnabas also was carried away with their dissimilation.
but when i (paul) saw that they (peter and the others) walked not uprightly according to the gospel,
i said unto peter (who was to be blamed) - - -
peter walked not according to the gospel of jesus christ. peter did not feed jesus' sheep: he (peter) preferred to be with goats. peter feared jesus' sheep.
obviously peter (did not) love jesus.
apparently, jesus was right to be skeptical about peter's love for him.
jesus "knew" what was in peter's heart: before he asked peter.if he (peter) loved him.
