    Hi Danica,

if you are asking if Jesus is one person or two, He is two natures (God and man) in one Person. There are not two Jesus' in one Person, rather two natures that are unified in one Person without having the natures mix together to new mixed singular nature. When one looked at Jesus, they saw a God/Man. He is this God/Man forever, or High Priest as to His humanity and our Lord as to His divinity.

This may be hard for us to understand how this can be. But we can believe (it even if we do not fully understand it. Jesus (the eternal God the Son) took into His deity humanity. He is not a man who acquired divinity; rather God who became also man without ceasing to be God.

    Hope this helps.

Guess no one has attempted to answer you yet-so I will say the easiest answer is BOTH. In addition to this; of course we have the Holy Spirit as part of the Godhead. The easiest way; I suppose to look at it is that the Godhead (Elohim as mentioned in Genesis 1) consists of all 3 members of the Trinity. There is perfect unity; but different functions for each member. Jesus was referred to as my Lord and my God in John 20:28 by "doubting" Thomas after viewing His wounds after the Resurrection. Clearly; God the Father had to remain untouched by sin so that the universe could be held together; for sin had to bring death to the Son as predetermined by the Father ( Isaiah 53:10). Christ had conversations with and prayed to the Father; so clearly this is an eternal past; present and future state with the exception of that brief moment at Calvary.

It seems that the Holy Spirit is misunderstood for His main role bringing conviction of sin righteousness and judgment to come ( John 16:8). There is no scripture where the "helper" ( John 14:26) is instructed to be worshipped. Instead; it strengthens the believer; as a small reflection of Christ who possessed the Spirit "without limit" or measure ( John 3:34).

Believers have quibbled as to verses that mention the Trinity and others only mentioning baptism in the name of Christ. We also need to understand the Christophenes or preincarnate appearances of Christ. No one has seen the Father according to Christ; surely the full glory of God would kill a man ( John 1:18; Exodus 33:18-20). The Spirit has only been described in a visible manifestation or accompanying sign once; in Acts at Pentecost. Jesus makes it clear that when the Comforter (i.e. Spirit) comes that WE shall dwell with him ( John 14:23). He is to ask the Father and He sends it ( John 14:16).

I suppose a a good read of John is appropriate on these matters! Even one member of the Godhead is beyond our puny minds to understand. Agape. Rich P

You Asked: Would The Lord ERR So Greatly? I say "NO" The Lord Jesus "NEVER" Errs. Jesus (HAD TO) Chose "ONE" Devil TO Fulfill Scripture.

ONE Devil: NOT TWO Devil's. So I Have 2 Questions For You, Chris. Question #1. (IF) Judas Was (That One Devil) Then (Why On Earth) Did Jesus Call Simon Peter (SATAN)? Satan = Devil Question #2 Do You Think Jesus (DIDN'T KNOW) That He Was Calling (The Wrong Disciple) SATAN /A DEVIL: OR, Do You Think Jesus Decided To Go Against Scripture: And Choose "TWO" Devil's.

    Giannis,

You bring up a great question. You ask: Assuming that we live at the very end of this world, what do you think, which modern nation/country looks like that kingdom?

Currently, I believe the country referred in your scripture is the US! It has been seen by most people in the world, as the strongest nation militarily, for many years. Recently, this mind set has begun to change, with many in favor of Russia or China as the possible new superpower. Russia is showing that it is really "NOT" a superpower as evidenced by their current failings in Ukraine, this is very revealing to the world, how weak they really are. Currently, that only leaves China now, as the only possible competitor with the US. The US has the proven record over many years of fighting modern warfare, as the strongest in that arena. Can this pivot to China, that is a high unknown. Russia has failed, China may be learning something from Russia's enormous mistake.

I also believe, the verse's that you quote in Daniel speak to the current weakening within the US. (And also shows the "falling away" of the entire world.) I view Christian's as "the iron"; the "clay" is everyone else - non believers. For some time now, the weak clay (non believers) has been mixing in with the iron, and weakening the strength of the US from within.

    Isaiah 5:20

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

As far as being close to the end times, know one knows but the Father, per Jesus. Looking all around, we seem to certainly getting closer. Isaiah below, speaks directly to what is currently happening all around us today!

    Isaiah 5:20

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

    God Bless.

    Hi Leigh,

This is a hard discipline, a hard lesson for us to love our enemies. And others have given great responses, filled with godly wisdom. Now I'd like to encourage you with some things that help me to grow in this area.

First of all, it isn't just 'those people' who tell us to love our enemies. It is our Master Who tells us to do so. Matthew 5:44,

    "BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Whenever Jesus says, in Scripture, "BUT I SAY UNTO YOU", boy...I sit up and take notice! It is the LORD commanding us to do so, not mere human beings.

Secondly, Jesus would not ask us to do something without giving us grace and Holy Ghost power to do so.

Thirdly, when I am treated badly, I think of how Jesus died for me when I was His enemy. Before I knew Him, when He was on that cursed tree paying for my crimes, He looked down through history and was forgiving me, for I was so depraved in my sin, I had no idea what I was doing...REALLY. What a Savior!

It is an honor then, when we are mistreated, to get a chance to be like Jesus, the Lord Who we love, and choose to forgive.

Fourthly, we pray our godly example will lead our troublers to repentance. And if they do not repent, justice will be served at God's good pleasure. Vengeance belongs to Him. He WILL repay. All will work out in righteousness as we wait on God.

Fifthly, I think on many examples of saints who have been persecuted and/or martyred for the faith; how many sealed their testimony with forgiveness to those who took their lives! Again...no human can do this alone; but we're not alone! We have the Holy Spirit!

Don't be discouraged! It is God's will that we forgive - and He will help us to do it! He will get all the glory for it, for it is by His own power we overcome evil with good!

    Blessings, Leigh!

I judge No Person. Jesus Is The Judge. Jesus Says TO Peter: Thou, Peter Savourest Not The Things Of God.

Jesus Says TO Peter (NOT TO Judas):

    Get Thee Behind Me Satan.

Jesus Says: Peter = Satan = The Devil

Jesus Says: Have Not I Chosen You Twelve: And ONE Of You IS A Devil.

Peter Was The "One" Devil That Jesus Chose To Be A Disciple Of His.

That Which Is (Highly Esteemed) IS Abomination Unto God. Simon Peter IS (Very Highly) Esteemed. Many People Admire & Adore Peter (They Idolize Peter). They Have Even Built An Image Of Simon Peter. It Stands In The Vatican.. Over The Years Billions Of People Have Bowed Down And Kissed Peter's Feet (Worshipping) Peter. To The Point Where The Feet Of The Statue Are Actually Wearing Away.

Jesus Says TO (PETER) : Get (THEE) Behind Me (SATAN) : (THOU) Savourest (NOT) The Things (OF) GOD.

God's people (Adore / Lift Up) Simon Peter (Highly (Above) All The Other Disciples. They Idolize Peter (A Mere Man Who) DID NOT SAVOUR The Things Of God. (A Mere Man) Whom Jesus Called (Satan).

Simon Peter Is An Abomination In The Eyes Of Jesus. Jesus Literally Turned His Back On Peter: Jesus) Couldn't Stand The Sight Of Peter/Satan).

Have You Heard? That Peter Requested To Be (Crucified Upside Down) Because He Didn't Feel Worthy To Be Crucified In The Same Manner As Jesus.

Is It Any Wonder That Satan Worshippers Wear (An Upside-Down Crucifix) Around Their Necks?

Jesus Said To PETER: Get THEE Behind Me, SATAN.

Peter = Thee = Satan = The ONE Devil That Jesus Chose To Be His Disciple.

    Believe It "OR" Not.

    The Choice Is Entirely Yours.

    Hi Chris

I've done some research and found out that:

The name of Peter's father was (Eng) Jona or Jonah, (Hbr) Yona or Yonah, (Gk) Ionas. It means "dove, pigeon". It is the same name as Prophet Jona in the Old Testament.

Apostole John's name in Gk is Ioannes, in Hbr Yohanan. It means God is gracious or God's grace or God's gift. I was alwayd wondering why I never found that name in the Old Testament, did it appear for the first time in Jesus' times? Visiting a Jewish website I found

out that it appears many times in the Old testament but in the Hebrew form of it i.e. Ezra 8:12. , 2 Kings 25:23, 1 Cronicles 6:9 etc . (Eng) Johanan (Hbr) Yohanan.

    Hey GiGi,

If I may, I love the love and care you show for others on this site. I agree with you on the importance of the creeds aligning with scripture, we are told to try the spirits, 1John 4:1. Also, we should look at how and for what purpose these creeds were written and the consequences of them. Does it matter the Holy Spirit was not included in the Nicene Creed; it was years later when it became the trinity?

From the beginning of these creeds, were placed at the top of faith and the foundation of Christianity. Even today in most denominations you must believe and profess these creeds, or you are shunned, called a heretic, and told you are not a Christian. In the past you could have been burned at the stake, beheaded, or excommunicated, making you free game to be killed. Thousands upon thousands have been killed due to these creeds.

I have seen and heard it said it is a mystery but, in the Bible, mystery refers to a sacred secret, it is something that has been hidden and has not been revealed. The question is not, can we find scripture to fit the creeds, but whether we can find scripture that the trinity is explicitly taught in the Bible and is taught if we do not believe and have faith in it we can not be saved or be a Christian? Does man have authority over scripture? Is this seeking wisdom?

1 Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

I hope this will be taken out of love. Not believing in the Trinity is not denying the divinity of Jesus.

    GOD bless.

Not sure where to find it in the Psalms, but here is a verse in relation to your question:

    1Corinthians 9:18(NKJV)

"What is my reward then? Verily, that when I preach the gospel, I make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel."

    Dear Bernie

In those verses like V24 and V25 the hole Gospel is included. Pages can be written to explain what they mean. But in a few words those who hear and believe in Jesus' word that He was sent by Father God to sacrifice Himself for people to have eternal life, then those people will not be judged by God in the Final Judgement (because they believe in Him through Jesus and have their sins erased) and will not die spiritually (that is go to hell) but live eternally with God.

If smd has a better definition please post it.

    Hello Berny

The dead that will hear the voice of the Son of God are all people that are spiritually dead, that means that they live a sinful life. The voice of the Son of the God is the good news that God offers people eternal life if they accept the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ and repent for their sins. The dead that will live are the people who accept God's offer and although they will suffer the physicall death they will be ressurected and have eternal life in God's presence.

    Have a good day.

Yes GiGi I live in Greece. Here everybody knows the Necene Creed by heart. We get tought it in schools. When a baby is baptised his/her godfather has to verify his faith by reciting the Creed before the priest as a proof of faith.

And since we talk a lot lately some info about me. I was born and raised up as a Greek Orthodox christian, just like almost everybody else in this country. Later in my life I heard a testimony of one of my business' clients and I was impressed with his faith and knowledge of Gospel and his pure life. Some time later on I joined a church of reborn christians and I am there till now. I think it is important when we talk to other people to tell them primarily our testimony. What God has done in our lives, That God is real, not out there lost in space, but here next to us. He is a living God. He hears us, talks to us, we receive what we need. He has a plan for us, there is eternal life, but eternal hell as well.

We are all sinners, no matter how big sinners we are. We become righteous by Jesus' sacrifice and once saved we walk a specific way, not like world's.

We can not prove them that God exists, but we can give them the spark to go and search for Him, kneel down and ask Him to come to their lives. And if they are sincere about it God will definitely anwer back. That will be the proof they want.

Now of course you can give them some information about Jesus and God and the Holly Spirit. If you want to use a Creed or say it your own way I think it's up to you, how you feel better about it.

    Have a good day.

The GLORIOUS and INFINITE GOD became a humble man, was born between animals, brought up in a poor family, started His ministry, was teaching during daytime, was praying at nights, often so exhausted He slept on boats during storms. He healed blind people, disabled people, raised up dead people, gave to everyone that went to Him anything they asked for. His teaching was Love. People rejected Him, outcasted Him, sweared at Him, mocked Him, humiliated Him, hurt Him, tortured Him, crucified Him. And still ignored all those and kept going all the way to the end. Why? Because in His mind there was a picture of me, of you, of every single human being that needed His hand of help.

SO IF HE LOVED US ALL THE WAY TO DEATH WE OUGHT TO LOVE EACH OTHER THE SAME WAY.

Do you know what the Gospel is about? Of course you do, but let me remind you of something:

1 Timothy 1:5 " Now the end of the commandment is charity (Gk love) out of pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfaigned

    God Bless You All.

Thank You Lord God Almighty For Your Mercies And Everlasting Love Through Your Son Jesus Our Christ.Amen.

I'm going through spiritual boot camp at present and need to lift up my bunk-mate 'Drey' who was just released from prison yesterday. He is 22yrs old and is possessed by the demon of self confliction as he projects his life's hardships on those around him and proceeds to castigate them for having his own inward challenges. Another roomy of mine named'Avery' (18yrs) has a similar demon, except this demon does him self-harm.

Our Heavenly Father I lift these Avery & Drey up to you for deliverance from those demons. I ask that you bind those evil spirits that have beset them and cast them back into the abyss from which they came and fill Avery & Drey with our Lord & Savior Jesus The Christ and cleanse them from within and replace their broken heart with your everlasting love and fill them with your Holy Spirit now. In Jesus' Most High And Holy Precious Name.Amen.

God forbid, Linda, that I would make the Lord Whom I love, and His truth that I love, a liar. Jesus is my joy, and His Word my light. I know what I am apart from both Christ and His Word, and I am indeed a great debtor to His free grace and mercy.

I have read several commentaries on John 6:70,71 since our discussion, in addition to prayerfully meditating with the Lord's help for myself. I've also been studying, along with John 17:12. They all say the son of perdition, the devil, the murderer, the betrayer, is Judas.

I won't respond to any further discussion, because I see it's pointless. I have fulfilled my duty. I will just say that I have been so grieved over this whole discussion. I think of Revelation 13:6, speaking of antichrist, and how he blasphemes the saints in heaven. We need to be careful of what spirit we are of, when we speak about one of the servants of God. You are a much braver woman than I to do so.

Peter, though a loud-mouth at times, though prideful at times, though influenced by the devil in that very tragic circumstance...at length was restored and became a great blessing to the church of God then, and even to this day, by the letters that he penned and left for us, which contain so much precious truth. Peter, once filled with the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, preached the gospel of the Lord that he loved; and was faithful unto death. Would the HOLY SPIRIT dwell inside a devil???

I entrust you to the One Who is the best Teacher in the World, and I myself ask for continued wisdom and insight from God's Word. I need His help moment by moment, and am utterly lost apart from Him.

Thank you for the interesting discussion, though we differ.
