To All, please say prayers for my new friend Nigel! He works as a secrurity guard at my local library!!

He is a believer in Jesus Christ and is need of a new place to live! He has no wife, no children and rents a room

in a private house with 2 other men. You can see that he is tired of living there but because rents are so high

in nyc, he can't find any where to live that can be his own. A studio or a small apartment would be better for him.

Let all who are on this Bible site to please make your prayers known to Our LORD Jesus!!! He needs our help with

this situation!! Lord, I ask you to have mercy on Nigel, help him to deal with all things going on in his life! May You

give him strength this day and always! Thank You LORD, for You always hear Your children who ask and shall recieve Your

gracious mercy and help!!! All our hope and faith are in your hands!!! AMEN!!!

Jesus himself explains to His disciples

what to expect in the end times. There are two sets of verses regarding Jesus explanation:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,

and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other" ( Matthew 24:29-31, KJV).

    Sequence of Events:

    1. The Tribulation ends.

    2. Sun, moon darkened - stars fall.

    3. The sign of the Son of man seen - Son of man

    coming.

    4. Angels sent with sound of trumpet.

    5. Elect gathered from four winds (earth) and one end of heaven to the other.

Timing: The coming of the Son of man and his gathering of the elect follows the darkness at the end of the tribulation.

Dear brother read Hebrewa 1:1-2 that says:

    1. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

    2. Hath in these LAST DAYS spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

The period that the Scropture names as last days started from the times Jesus came to earth and will end at the very end of this world

Hi Jasmine, you asked several questions but I will just address your first question about God plural. It's plural because God is a triune being composed of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Beware of anyone pushing their own ideology and twisting scripture in order to accomplish their desired outcome. The Bible already says what it means and because it says this about God I choose to believe it.

Here are verses describing that. God bless.

    John 1:1

    1 John 5:7-8

    Genesis 1:26

    Genesis 11:6-7

    John 10:30

    John 8:19

    Philippians 2:5-8

    2 Corinthians 5:19

    John 1:3

    Matthew 28:19

    1 Peter 1:2

    2 Corinthians 13:14

    Deuteronomy 6:4

    John 14:10

    John 20:28

    1 John 2:22-24

    Isaiah 7:14

    Hi Gigi.

First I would like to thank Brother Jesse for enhancing my understanding of that verse.

Second I would like to share the way I've heard it taught as well starting from Romans 9:17-20. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

J Vernon Mcgee says God brought out what was already in Pharoahs heart. He was a bad vessel from the start, God used Him to show his power in Egypt.

    God bless.

I appreciate the availability of your King James Bible online. In order to meditate on Psalm 34 this morning, I began to write myself these reflections. Thank You!

V.1. I am always going to bless The LORD GOD! When you see my lips moving, and when you don't - as long as I live, I will bless The LORD. I will exalt Him and bless His Name.

V.2. The only boasting which I will do is boasting "How Great GOD Is". People with a humble heart will have no problem with this. It will resonate with their souls, and they will join in the Exaltation of The LORD!

    V. 3. Please join me in the Exaltation of The LORD; help me promote His Name!

v.4. When I sought The LORD, I found Him to be RIGHT THERE. He heard me when I called Him, and He successfully, effectively and miraculously delivered Me from EVERYTHING I was afraid of. I'm learning because of His deliverance NOT TO FEAR ANYTHING BUT HIM!

v.5. All those that looked to Him were relieved! And they were not ashamed for having looked to Him.

v.6. I was humbled by my circumstances, and I cried out to The LORD. I had no other choice and no alternatives. But when I cried out to HIM, He saved me from EVERY one of my troubles.

v.7. My testimony is that The LORD has an Angel who encamps around me and all those that trust Him. The Angel is mighty and effective and he RESCUES and DELIVERS ALL those that fear and trust in The LORD.

V.8. You can experience this for yourself - The LORD is Good! Experience it with your Natural and your Spiritual Senses. Taste it and see it for yourself. Everybody who trust in Him is blessed!

v.9. It's appropriate and beneficial to Fear The LORD, and it will lead you into Godly Wisdom and Knowledge. Everyone that knows The LORD and is called by His Name. There is nothing lacking to those that fear Him.

v.10. Young lions and those that seem young and as strong as lions that hunger and have less than what they would seem to need. They can't satisfy their needs by their own strength. . .

    Good morning GiGi,

Here's something I can share with you. In Romans 9:22, that word "fitted" is what is called the Middle Voice in Greek. That is, the vessel itself, made itself a condition of a vessel for destruction. Nowhere in the text does it ever say God makes a good vessel for a vessel of destruction. I'm not sure if that's what you were wondering about?

I'll use Judas Iscariot for an example. Judas didn't become evil and filled with Satan because God said, "I need to put Satan in you because I need somebody to be an evil disciple."

The bible says Judas was evil already. In John Chapter 6, Jesus said, "Haven't I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a demon." Jesus needed somebody who was evil to fulfil the role of an evil disciple. But Judas was already evil.

So a vessel fitted for destruction, and again, the word fitted means that the vessel conditions itself to be fitted for destruction. God doesn't do it. But once it's fitted for destruction, and it is a vessel of destruction, God uses it. He uses both honorable vessels and dishonorable vessels. He'll use them both for His glory and for His honor out of His choice. He used Judas (a dishonorable vessel) to fulfil prophecy.

And by the way, the instructions about the potters are coming from Jeremiah Chapter 18. You might want to put that to the left of Verse 22. Jeremiah Chapter 18 is about the potter. All the Jewish people know about the parable of the potter in Jeremiah 18.

Anyways, that's my two-cents worth. Have a blessed day in Christ!

    Hello, AE

Perhaps this woman should seek help from her husband and/or those outside the home for some things, especially if she is in poor health. We each have a limit as to what we can bear at certain times in our lives. I would pray for God to lead someone to offer help in this situation.

My parents had 10 children. So, I can guarantee that both were tired and tried at times with the responsibility and work of raising a large family with very limited income. My mom had a nervous breakdown after the 7th child was born and had to be hospitalized for a short time. Our aunts and uncles each took a few of us into their homes during this time. She was 30 years old at the time.

Other than this time, my mom did the work of a housewife and mother for 40 years until all were over 18 and out of the house. My dad died a few years prior to this time (after they were married 38 years. My youngest sibling was 17 years old at the time.

My parents worked hard all of this time. There was not much leisure time for them over the years. Summers were spent gardening and canning vegetables and fruits. Often my mom was either pregnant or caring for a young infant when all this work was happening. us older kids helped with the canning and housework. There was plenty of laundry, lots of diapers, and meal preparation that we all learned to do when we were old enough to do so.

I admire my mom so much. I learned early on in marriage to consider what my mom was doing at the age is was at the time, especially when I felt overwhelmed. I would realize that I only had three children to look after, not 10, and I knew that God gave my mom lots of strength and good health to be able to do what she did. Considering the life my mom lived would put my mind in perspective and stop my complaining. But in some ways I experienced things my mom never did. My sons were often ill as infants and young children, often needing antibiotics to clear up sinus/ear infections or bronchitis. So, each is different

I would like to comment on 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. Paul says, "behold, I shew you a mystery;" First of all: we shall not all sleep. The word sleep is the Christian term for death, because the body is only be buried in the ground temporarily. The physical body has the appearance of sleeping. Once a person separates from the body, it's called death.

We shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed. It tells us in Verse 52 how fast this will happen. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet:

Fascinating statements! The word moment (ATOMA) in Greek is the word for atom. What he's saying is that it will be so fast, (less than a millisecond). The atom cannot be split, so he says it's that short of a time. You can't even split the second that it's going to take for this to happen! It's in the twinkling of an eye, not blinking of an eye, but twinkling of an eye, the sparkle. And it's at the last trumpet.

Many believe that this will occur after the seventh trumpet blast in the book of Revelation. And that seventh trumpet blast introduces the second coming of Christ. So they say it is at that last trumpet.

But if we understand "Biblish" which is bible English or bible language, the seventh trumpet is not the last trumpet. It's the seventh trumpet! It's the last of the seven. This one here is specifically the last trumpet for the call. In fact, it is the same trumpet mentioned in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 about the rapture because he says "For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised."

By the way, that trumpet is not going to be some trumpet player. In the Hebrew, it's the word Shofar. It is a ram's horn. They blow them even in Israel today for the gathering of the armies. It's sounded from the top of the temples for the priests to come to their daily duties at the temple.

So this shofar will sound, the dead shall be raised incorruptible, not in their corruptible body, but a new body incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

    Good Morning,

I've been reading in Romans and having read up to chapter 9 I would be interested in what others can tell me about verses 22-24 where it says:

What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, even us whom He called, not of the Jews only but also of the Gentiles?"

Particularly, I am wondering what is meant by "vessels of wrath" God prepared versus "vessels of mercy" God prepared.

Thank you in advance for your input. I've been thinking on this since last night. So, I guess it is good for me to share my query on here.

First when God said "US" who are the us, we plural?

He was not talking to the serpent (devil) or Adam and Eve

Did God tell Eve not to eat or just Adam?

Why did Adam take so long, even after God appeared to decide to call her Eve? Why did God "Curse" Adam and Eve and say that children would be a punishment along with the other punishment, like telling her she would always want Adam etc.? When we also read he said go forth and replenish the earth. When replenish means (to make full or complete again, as by supplying what is lacking, used up,) Can we assume that there were people there before and now there is no one so God made Adam and Eve Again to re stock earth?

How did God make the skins from animals for them and why? I know they were naked but why would he care.

When God was saying about cursing their seed was he talking to Adam and Eve or Eve and the Devil?

    GiGi,

Here is what I have learned a while back about this incident of the cloth and the young man in Mark 14:51-52. This is only found in Mark's gospel, and it is a very interesting story. You won't find it in any other gospels except here, which tradition tells us this is probably John Mark. In Verse 51, you have this young man who was covered in a linen cloth. So he was covered, not naked, except for underneath the cloth. But he was not dressed in his normal clothing, only covered in this cloth.

So that would explain why when they went to grab him, the cloth would come off, and he would run away naked. And also, why he was naked underneath the cloth.

I say this because in the Greek text, when it talks about this linen cloth, it is something that you throw over yourself when you get out of bed. But what is he doing out there in the middle of the night with just a covering on, not his regular clothes, just something you throw on yourself when you are getting up out of bed?

Well, if indeed they went to Mary's home in Jerusalem to see if Jesus was eating the Passover and had been there, it would've woken up John Mark. We see in this chapter that it was in the middle of the night. And in a hurry, he threw something over himself (the linen cloth) to go out and find out what's going on. He followed them all the way over to the mountain. But it is interesting that Mark is the only one that mentions this, this young man who flees naked into the night.

Whether pre or post-tribulation view we will find out when it occurs. Either way we already know how to prepare and what to do during our short time on earth. Some get really into such debates and I think the first part of Titus 3:9 may be applicable. God bless.

It is good to isolate one's self for a period of time to hear the voice of God. There are times where we have so many distractions in our lives. We have people in our ear and heads telling us what they would do and how it needs to be done. We as people (some, not all) will listen to friends and family who does not have a relationship with God but because their life seems smooth it must be law. Lean not unto your own understanding and in all of your ways acknowledge God, and he will direct your path. This is where we go wrong by not listening to God's words. I myself am guilty of this and ask God to move me out of the way.
