    I recently banged my head on Kubota Tractor Roll Over Protection that was down at the time and forgot it was down and came up under it quickly. I hit it so hard that i had to grab onto it to keep from falling down. Now i have head ache and double vision and am very distressed. I believe in the healing power of GOD and JESUS CHRIST his son. I am asking for prayer for this situation. thank You Paul Walker

    Dear Jesse

    You wouldn't be offended dear brother if I make a liguistic correction, would you? The Greek word for faith ("pistis") does not mean persuasion at all, it simply means faith. You probably have in mind the word "peitho" which means persuasion but this is a different word, it has nothing to do with "pistis".

    Great pasture of scripture and I understand reading it and what the Bible says.

    This chapter is sobering; in that the congregation is being challenged in verse 1 as to what is being spoken and judged. This would certainly indite those who were in the leadership in the O.T. system; but certainly could allude to the church today. The reward of the wicked is certainly without mincing of words here; verse 3 through 5 shows the intransigence; again even with those who would be "charmers" as it were; perhaps trying to woo them back to the truth with Godly wisdom. The analogy of breaking their teeth in verse 6 is certainly not isolated to this passage; we see psalms 3:7 and a passage in Job along with others with similar sentiments.

    They are said to melt away ;in verse 8; and to be taken away in a whirlwind in verse 9. Again the comment in verse 10 is similar to that of the ashes of the wicked ( Malachi 4:3). Finally; men shall see the justice of God toward the righteous through such judment in the last verse.

    We need to consider well the results of Korah's rebellion; and that of others who were among the exiles from Egypt in particular who knew of God's glory firsthand but chose to reject it for foreign gods with some delusion that comforts of this world that they left behind in Egypt would somehow be found. Judgment certainly is greater for those who know the truth; but reject it; better they never knew the truth according to Peter ( 2 Peter 2:21). A change of heart surely must occur to truly be saved; a heart of flesh instead of stone (Ezekeil 36:26).

    You can taste and see that the Lord is good , but you need to be born again to have a lasting result .

    The old man is like a leaky wine skin, the new man grows stronger .

    I have always thought of it this way .

    It could apply to other applications as well .

    Dear Anointed one,

    A person who has been born of God's Spirit is a person who goes to heaven. It's called Spirit baptism. It has nothing to do with water. It is when God's Spirit comes into your spirit and seals your spirit. That is salvation.

    A person must receive Jesus Christ. I don't like to use the word accept. There is a difference between accept and receive. In fact, the bible never says to accept Christ. It does tell us to receive Him. To accept just means to mentally agree with what Jesus did for our salvation. But we must receive Him, not accept.

    As far as the cannabis usage goes, I would have to ask the cannabis user (whoever it is), if the Lord is leading them to use cannabis? Jesus gave us a command to follow Him. So whatever it is we are doing, we need to ask ourselves that question. Is this the Lord leading me to do this?

    The bible says "that which is not of faith is sin." That Greek word for faith is the word persuasion. In other words, anything we do that the Lord is not persuading us to do, that is considered sin. But the Lord has a provision for that, go figure!

    However, the bottom line is that every person who has been born of God's Spirit, that person will spend eternity with Christ. Everything in between, (if a person belongs to Christ), He will deal with that person if they are doing something they shouldn't be doing. I'm not sure if this is the answer you were looking for?

    Here are a few verses that answer these kind of questions.

    1 John 2.15,16,17

    And the world passes away, the lust of there of : but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever .

    ( Luke 5:34-39/Part 2)

    Frances,

    So, they would pour new wine into new wineskins. And then when the wine stopped expanding, the skins would harden and you would have a container. However, if you were to pour the wine out after the wine skins have hardened, and pour new wine into the old wine skins, and the wine began to ferment and expand; the skins are not going to go with it because it has hardened now. It will break!

    So, nobody puts new wine into old bottles else the new wine will burst the skins, and be spilled, and the wineskins shall perish.

    Luke 5:38-39 can be taken together: The word better in Greek means useful. What Jesus is saying is that there's an old dying religious system that people just will not give up, because when Messiah comes, He's going to set up His kingdom. And you cannot mix the new with the old. Jesus did not come to breathe life into the old Jewish religious system.

    He called people to follow Him. When He went into the synagogues, He said everything that you're studying here is about me. But He didn't have a building, He didn't have a church. He walked through the villages, and lived in the hills because He was not establishing a religious system.

    And He says the two don't mix, the old and the new. You can't pour new wine into an old dying religious system. Nor can God pour His spirit into somebody that says, "the old is better, no thanks, I like the old system!"

    Hope this helps you out!

    Frances,

    I am going to use two posts to cover those 6 verses), and hopefully this will help you. The second post will be ( Luke 5:34-39/Part 2)

    In Luke 5:34, Jesus is using the language from Isaiah Chapter 61 where Messiah is presented as the bridegroom, and the believers in Messiah are the bride. He says look, its wedding day. Fasting is for grief. If you are going to have a celebration, you don't fast!

    Luke 5:35: Jesus says, But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and in the Greek it's an act of violence, He is violently removed from them, and then shall they fast in those days. He will be taken away, it will be a time of grief, and then they will fast.

    Luke 5:36: The ladies here should know more about this than us men do. If you have a tear in a garment, and Jesus is talking about un-shrunk material. You take old material that has already been through the shrinking process, and some new material that hasn't shrunk at all, and then you take some of the new material and use that as your patch. What happens when you wash it? The new material is going to shrink up and pull and it will eventually tear. They do not match. They do not go together!

    Luke 5:37: And no man puts new wine into old bottles. Now the word "bottles" in Greek is wine skins, but they use them for bottles. What they would do is take new wine skins, form it so that you have a funnel at the top, and they would pour new wine into new wineskins, and then the wine would ferment and expand and the wine skins would expand with it.

    Deloys Sutherland,

    Hello, welcome to the Discussion & Questions section of this website.

    Many of us here volunteer here because we love GOD & love HIS people, whom HE created.

    Like Adam said be careful about listening to opinion. This is such a difficult topic, emotionally, spiritually, morally etc. This issue effects society, families, individuals.

    1st let's address the effects = Loss to their family, loved ones, friends, community & even the World. Loss of what that person would have accomplished, & what that would have attributed to each mentioned. 1Corinthians 12, Psalms 139,

    2nd, What that leaves behind = confusion, sadness, undue feelings of guilt, grief, helpless feelings to those dear & close to the person & then effecting all around them, even extended to people that looked at that person as an example, children nearby, jobs, everyone & everything left, all effected 2Corinthians 3:2, 1Timothy 4:12,

    3rd root causes = pain, abuse, sometimes just selfishness, etc. But we are not without hope, Romans 8, (whole chapter)

    Hope = Hebrews 4:8-16, Romans 5:1-21, Romans 15:4,13, Galatians 5:5, Colossians 1:23,

    Strength to endure = James 5:10, Romans 12:12,

    Comfort = 2Corinthians 1:2-4,

    Purpose = Ephesians 1:17-19,

    People that went through feelings of that but made it through = 2Corinthians 1, Job 7:15, Jonah 4:9, Matthew 26:38,

    Direction = Proverbs 2, Proverbs 8, Proverbs 10:2, Proverbs 24:10-12, Hebrews 4:15-16,

    Disobedience to GOD = Psalms 68:20, Ezekiel 18:32, Ezekiel 33:11, Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17,

    Hopefully these are helpful

    Have to disagree with you about the Sunday law diving the people, as it changed the day God blessed and sanctified and gave to all creation. It causes God's children to worshiped him on the day of the pagan Sun god day of worship. It joined the Christians to the pagans. It only divided Christians from God. Sunday is the only day God blessed and sanctified, and for God to change it would make him a liar. As it would also make Christ a liar to except any day his God and ours chose for himself and us.

    And any Christian should be worshiping God every day, but His chosen day of rest is the Sabbath; unless someone can show me in the bible were it was changed. (Mamatos5, there is a good book about Passover, the bible) And Christ becoming our Passover has nothing to do with a day of the week. Christ is our Passover, the blood over our "door" that gives us eternal life by forgiving our sins. And my comments about Sunday being the mark of the beast was only to make those reading to consider what might be, and to search their bibles for answers. No one knows what is it unless God has chosen them to be a last days prophet. All you can do is pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you to where God wants you in your knowledge of his word. And Friday sundown to Saturday sundown is the Sabbath, as explained by Genesis 1:5,8,13,19 and 23 "And the evening and the morning where the first day"; 12 hours of light, morning through evening ( John 11:9)

    Dear Linda, I will pray for your daughter and her situation today.

    Dear heavenly Father, Linda is so concerned about her daughter being in any relationship with Amy. We ask that you prevent her from becoming Amy's co-worker or for any relationship to be formed with Amy. We ask that You protect Linda's xo-worker from those who love evil. We pray for Amy today, too, that you will deliver her from evil and release her from the bondage of evil influences. We pray that You will bring Amy to salvation so that she can love and serve You all of her days. We ask these things of you, Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.

    Hello John.

    Genesis 1:1 says that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Since the verses after this of the creation account do not give account of Him creating water or the land, we can assume that these were created when the earth was first formed int the beginning.

    I feel led to pray for you Denise. And Sal and his nephew.

    :-)

    So here goes;

    Heavenly Father,

    I lift Sal up to you this morning. Give him some peace and Holy Spirit blessing this morning. I'm sure it's rough without his beloved Anna. I thank You that he has some friends and family and isn't completely alone. I thank You for Denise's witness to Sal's nephew. It sounds like he may not be serving you at this time in his life and needs someone to help salt and light his path! I ask You father to help him and bring him (back?) to You 100% because the world has nothing good to offer without You. I pray that You would set Holy Ghost filled Christians in his path to love him back to You. And that he would become such a help, blessing, and companion to Sal in his late years. I also pray that You would soften his speech and even put a praise on his heart. Help us to win the lost to You Lord. And help us to remember where we were when You found us and what and who You used to woo us to Yourself! Bless all of them & all of us reading this prayer. In Jesus name. Bless Sal abundantly today. And if he has pain in his body, please lessen it and give him relief. If he has health issues, I ask You to heal him! Thank You Lord. IJN Amen
