Gabriel, I'm praising God this morning on your behalf because it sounds like you have received a word from the Lord. You MUST believe Him. Just as Abraham believed Him. Do NOT let doubt or discouragement creep into your spirit! When the enemy comes in like a flood REBUKE him. Because you already know he is a thief and a liar and will try to steal, kill, and destroy what the Lord has spoken to you. Stay strong. Stay encouraged. Believe God will do it!

    :-) Cindy,

Isaiah 40:31 has special meaning to me and I hold it dear. There is so much strength to be gotten when we sit in His presence and receive His help and blessings. May God bless you and your family today.

Gabriel, thank you so much for praying for me. It blessed my soul and brought tears to my eyes. When we choose to serve the Lord we must know that trials will come but that Jesus will walk through the fire with us! He is always there. even when we cannot see Him. He is there. I wish I would have known that as a young convert. But after running away from the Lord after my husband divorced me I went through 15 years of hell. And when I returned to the Lord with my whole heart He restored me and delivered me. I don't recommend to anyone to try to live in sin. The devil did much damage. But that's OVER!!! I'm taking back EVERY THING THE devil STOLD FROM ME!!! With my armor on and the blood of Jesus applied and the help and blessing of my Savior forward I march! So yes, I DO thank you very much for your prayers and encouragement. Stay strong brother because the devil desires to sift you, as wheat! Put your armor on daily and your face to the ground in prayer, and in The Word! I'm SO thankful the Lord had mercy on me and kept me and mine. Not one of us was lost. Only God could've done that. Now He has my full attention.

    :-)

Have a blessed day. Find some way to praise The Lord through your trials. God inhabits the praises of His people and if you're gonna have your prayers answered you're gonna need all of the Lord's presence you can get. I'm praying for you today.

Reading God's Word is the most important part of the growth of the believer. I have found it to be the glue that holds me together in these days of turmoil and confusion in the world. I stay grounded on His promises. He is coming soon!!!

Beware of anyone giving you answers that aren't in the Bible. For example if someone says yes to your question and if the Bible doesn't say that, then that sounds more like one person's opinion rather than anything from God. But we are trying to learn God's position on this not mans, right? The Bible doesn't specifically address this question, but it does say that even people who expect and feel entitled to get to heaven won't get in. Matthew 7:21. So, many people will be horrified to learn that they put their hope and trust in the wrong thing, or that they weren't even real followers of Jesus to begin with. They should have been following Jesus and His teachings and taking it to heart, not the teachings of the world (satan). So, given that most people will not make it to heaven, is it likely that someone who commits such a defiant sin against God will be warmly welcomed with great rewards? So, someone wants to intentionally destroy God's creation right in front of His face then the next moment beg for mercy and forgiveness from the intentional act of defiance? I don't see these two things as being congruent. My answer is "not yes" to your question and someone considering this act should deeply search what his or her priorities are. God likely has greater plans and purposes for the person they are not even remotely aware of. For someone to blatantly sin, disobey and defy God and His Will is evil. Grace is not an excuse to commit intentional sin. Hebrews 10:26-31, Hebrews 6:4-6, James 2:14-26, John 14:15, Romans 6:1-2. God bless.

It's a critical question. You're saved by grace alone & not of our any works. The answer to your question is, yes. But you're accountable for your body, which God has given. The scripture says, the Believer's Body is the Temple of God. And moreover, God alone has the authority to give and take the Spirit.

If we commit suicide for any temporal problem. We are not just hurting ourselves, we are hurting others and God as well. We defile the body that God has given us, His holy temple.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

In 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, Paul also said that whosoever defiles the temple of God, God shall also destroy him/her. When you have the thought of hurting your body, you are hurting God.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Do not rob God's house. The temple (your body) belongs to God, not to you. When you commit suicide, you take away what belongs to God.

One or two points I want to put forth.

According to the book of ( Numbers 4:3, 30) the Levi's or Leviticus priests did not serve until they reach the age of 30 yrs., I believe. However, Numbers 8:24 - 26; says 25, and Ezra 3:8 says 20.

Secondly, they retired at the age of (50) Fifty. Nevertheless, other books in the cannon also stipulate that Levite men age 25 yrs., or older could take part in the work at the tent.

Hence, Samuel, was too young to become a priest. I don't believe Samuel in his young age was called to be a priest nor did he fulfilled any priestly functions.

The Bible declares God regulated the priestly office and limited the age of the priests. Anyone younger or older was not eligible to serve. Also don't know of any specific purpose of this or these age limit.

Nevertheless, military involvement age was 20 yrs., hence eligibility for priests would be that old likewise. That's the Bible.

I don't believe he did, Albert. John probably knew of his Divine mission & the zeal & spirit of Elijah would have spurred him on in his endeavours, but when he saw Jesus coming to him at the Jordan, he expressed great surprise (maybe some consternation) that Jesus wanted to be water baptized by him ( Matthew 3:11-15). He knew that Jesus would baptize others with the Holy Spirit, just as John was baptizing in water those indicating contrition & repentance of their sins, but for John to baptize Jesus in water would have seemed unfathomable to him.

If I were explaining the 'Kingdom of God' to an unsaved person ELB, I wouldn't share Romans 8:38,39 with him, unless he was asking about why a Christian could possibly have such a strong confidence & hope in this God - why a Christian could persevere through difficulties, even persecutions, to be faithful to such a God. Maybe, elements of this chapter could be used in such a situation.

"Could I also have such a hope & confidence as you have", he asks. I reply, "Most certainly, when you truly repent of your sins & turn to God's Provision of a Sacrifice (found only in His Son Jesus Christ) to deal with those sins & to forgive you entirely. You are then accepted by God, & coming to Him on His Terms, you enter into His family, enjoying His Blessings, with His Spirit in you to give you such a hope & power to live this life & finally enter into His Presence. Then whatever befalls you in this life, you are eternally secure in His Love & nothing - but nothing - can separate you from that Love." Romans 8:35-39.

If I simply gave an unbeliever this Truth in Romans chapter 8, I should expect to be derided & disdained, for such Truth would be as pearls cast before swine, unappreciated, even meaningless. This whole chapter is for those whose life is in Christ Jesus - whose "life is hid with Christ in God". And this same confidence is kept in store (waiting in hope), that one day the 'groaning in pain of all creation' will cease, when the new heavens & earth will be ushered in. But my unbeliever 'friend' who receives the witness from the Word, can only share in that hope if he repents now & is born again of God's Spirit. If he refuses, the Word stands against him: "For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven."

Dear Lord, today we went to our friend Sal's house for dinner! He is our friend and neighbor. He is alone now for his wife passed away a little over a year. They were married for 65 years! He is 93 years old and a Korean war veteran! His beautiful wife Anna died because of this evil vax, She died from it, 87 years old! He has a nephew who of course showed up late for dinner but at least he showed. Not to say he doesn't care for his uncle, just a 35 year difference in age! I'm not to judge him yet since I'd had seen him last, he has changed dramatically! Something in his mind, what he spoke about was wrong! Every other word out of his mouth was F!! After awhile, we just wanted to go home. 'Evil communications corrupts good manners'!! He means well but saying this it reminds me of the verses about the Pharisee and the publican sinner! Believers know what I'm talking about if you read the Living Word of God!! Just expressing my thoughts to you. oh, Lord, is there an answer for his actions, he was just babbling! Thank you Lord Jesus for hearing my thoughts and feelings on this matter!!! Have mercy on me Lord, a sinner!!! Amen!!

    Hi Dennis,

I don't know how open minded you are in regards to the scripture you shared and how others interpretations differ from yours. You probably are aware that your view isn't common among most Bible readers and that you might at least expect some kind of response to posting such an interpretation publicly on a Bible website. May I ask have you prayed to God about this and asked Him if what you're saying is true?

The first verse is talking about John the baptist preparing the way for Jesus who is the Light. I'm not sure if that is your belief or not but when you read the whole context it would be hard to come up with any other view in my opinion. Verse 14 days the Word (God, as said in verse 1) became flesh and dwelt among us and continues to describe Jesus.

God created you, gave you life, and He has the right to take your life. You have no entitlements and no authority in comparison. God loved us enough to give us freewill and sadly many choose evil which harms others. But just because people choose evil and just because God may choose to punish evildoers doesn't mean God is "bad". God is good, evil/satan is bad. When your parents disciplined you growing up where they "bad" too? Most love their kids enough to punish them so they will be afraid of doing wrong in the future and avoid it, so they can life a better life. Some people in history have chosen evil and been so consumed with it that they were a lost cause and they were killed so that innocents don't have to suffer anymore by their evil. Is it right that evildoers are continued to be allowed to harm innocents. God is fair and just. This life is temporary, we all will die and face judgment. Just because some extremely wicked satan-followers are taken earlier than others doesn't mean to me that fairly punishnig someone is bad. People keep spitting in God's face and demand entitlements from Him as if they think God is a genie in a lamp to serve them. People are mistaken. Matthew 10:28, Matthew 7:21. God bless.
