Hi Louie, being born again is a work of God from beginning to end. So, I have heard it explained like Chris did here, and I have

also heard it explained this way: One is born again when the Holy Spirit regenerates you so that you can receive the grace that

imparts faith to believe the gospel of Christ. This definition puts all of the action upon God and not on man. Once one is spiritually

regenerated, then one is now able to believe. Prior to regeneration, we are spiritually dead and unable to cause ourselves to be

made alive to God. Therefore, God chooses us first for salvation and does what we cannot do. But most people become aware of

this regeneration when they respond to the gospel as Chris stated.

Dear Dennis, please show me where in the old testament that you believe that God is not our Father or Creator? Thank you! He is not a liar or murderer or a thief? I think you have the verses mixed up or you are being deceived? Just checking!

    Happy Resurrection Day, Earl.

Thanks for your reply. I just don't concur with your analysis. Jesus resurrected in a physical body, and I believe we will also be resurrected in a physical body, but one that cannot be corrupted or die. Our body will be glorified like Jesus' is in heaven and He said He will return in the same way as he ascended, bodily.

We do not yet know what these bodies will be like, but we will not be disembodied spirits, nor gods.

I realize that we will not come to agreement on this topic. Even so, I wish you a happy day in the Lord today.

    Hello Robert,

    Ephesians 28-10

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works. lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

Good works are all that we do that is of the Spirit of God, by whom we are a new creation in Christ Jesus to live, not to ourselves, but to God. In this we obedience we will walk by the Spirit in the fruit of the Spirit, through the power of the Spirit, under the guidance of the Spirit, in the way the Spirit ask us to speak, act, pray, and think.

A clear millennial psalm. We see here the city of Zion; in which the kings of the earth fear, (v. 4-5). Verse 6 shows a travailing similar to birth pangs in Matthew. The Heavenly city on the "sides of the north" could be describing it hanging over the earth; and/or indicate its eventual landing as it were on earth during the restoration forming the new heavens and earth.

Verse 13 about the "generation following" seems to show natural descendants as other millenial verses indicate as well. Death will be for mainly rebels during the millennium; but he is our guide in all dispensations or time frames until death is conquered with the new heaven and earth ( 1 Cor. 15:55).

It is interesting to see that some of the sons of Korah remained obedient after the rebellion earlier ( Numbers 16).

    Allan,

While everyone will stand before the Lord, a believers judgement will be different than the judgement for non-believers. Believers stand before the Bema Seat judgement. This judgement is not to determine whether we go to heaven or hell, but what reward/s we will receive. There will be a separate judgement for non-believers that takes place after the 1,000 year reign of Christ. It is called the Great White Throne judgement. No believer will stand before God at that judgement. So, the judgement for the person who dies in Christ is to determine their reward. At the Great White Throne judgment, not one single person will enter into heaven. Their judgement will be eternal separation from Christ.

Read these verses...this is the words of our Savior for the most part...i don't believe the god of the old testament is our Father/Creator...our Father is not a murderer...liar...or thief...He has none of these attributes...guess who does...thats right...lucifer and the fallen ones..we are warned not to follow the traditions of man. Ok folks...read these verses and decide for yourselves: john 1:7-18; john 6:32-51; john 14:6 and now for the biggie, the gospel .. 1st Corinthians 15:1-5 +....i encourage you to read and use eyes to see and ears to hear ..may Jesus bless each one of you with His Truth and Grace

Sister GiGi, you are correct when you said God is spirit.

Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE body, and ONE Spirit .....

Ephesians 4:6 One God, and Father of all, who is above all, and through you all, and IN YOU ALL.

WE do not have LIFE apart from God.

LIFE can't be seen because it is Spirit, and no one has seen God.

John 14:6 .....I am LIFE and TRUTH .....

What is the only thing left when we PUT OFF THIS BODY of flesh.

    SPIRIT, which is LIFE.

John 3:6 That which is born of flesh (man) is flesh (man); and that which is born of SPIRIT (GOD) is SPIRIT (God).

GOD is LIFE, FAITH, TRUTH, MERCY, WISDOM, COUNSEL, UNDERSTANDING, ETC.

Luke 16:4 The disciple is not above his master: but everyone that is PERFECT WILL BE AS HIS MASTER.

You are made PERFECT when you depart this body of flesh, because the only thing that is left is LIFE AND TRUTH.

1 Timothy 6:16 Who (the MASTER) ONLY hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto .....

1 Corinthians 15:53 ......this mortal shall PUT ON IMMORTALITY ......

Only Christ has IMMORTALITY, only Christ is LIFE, DWELLING in the LIGHT.

Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and ALL OF YOU are the children of the most high.

    God Bless You!

    Hey Mac,

Deception is sly as a serpent and with a sleight of hand has us looking in the wrong direction and causing division, the Sunday law was just that. What Christ did, we in the past were strangers without God, Christ making of two in one body, and both have access by one Spirit unto the Father, Ephesians 2:10-18. Is it wrong to gather on Sunday? No. Can we call Sunday the Sabbath? No. Can we be justified by keeping the Sabbath? No.

The Sunday law was made to divide the Christians and the Jews even though many of the Jews were Christians. My understanding, the mark of the beast has nothing to do with Sunday and it will not come about until Satan is cast out of heaven and gives his power, seat, and authority to the beast, Revelation 12, 13.

Greek philosophy has influenced traditions and theories and I agree we work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Not sure of the meaning of Friday sundown till Saturday sundown? Jesus said in John 4:23-24, that we should do it every day not just one day of the week.

Many things divide us but only one thing makes us one, the simplicity that is in Christ, 2 Corinthians 11:3.

    God bless,

  • Where Did Esau Move To and Prophesy - In Reply - 2 years ago
Genesis 25-27: Tells the story of Esau and Jacob. Jacob and Rebekah worked together to cheat Esau out of his birthright as elder son. Esau made it easy because he'd rather have a bowl of stew than his birthright. He only fought for it when he saw it given to Jacob.

It seems wrong but Esau had no regard for those things until he realized what He had done. It says God HATED Esau for the treachery. This doesn't sanction cheating and treachery. It teaches that when God gives you a blessing, don't throw it away on something temporal.

Esau left Jewish culture and married into other culture an religion. However, to this very day, Esau is still trying to get his blessing away from Jacob. (God changed Jacobs name to Israel.

The wars in the Mid-East today, are still about the Covenants God made with Abraham and descendant of Abraham's wife SARAH. Ishmael received his own blessing from God. ( Genesis 15 & forward). God clearly explained borders inside the Covenant.

Ishmaels descendants (Palestinians) want everything God gave Israel through the Abrahamic Covenant. Jews have returned to Israel and now the land (the Fig Tree Jesus spoke of), is fertile and blooming. This is prophesy being fulfilled NOW. I followed Esaus descendants to the Eastern lands of Israel:very difficult study. Google his Geneology to get started.

The Palestinians are making deals with Russia; Russia is making deals with China. Search CHINA in the search engine. 3 scriptures say the Pestilences origins are China and mid-east lands. You gotta use ancient maps with the ancient country names on it.

Israel needs water and is building a pipeline to get it (search news). All countries are against it.

If you aren't digging through foreign nation News, you will be lost as to why all these wars being rumored. Matthew 24, Luke 21

Begin reading the Bible alongside the news, or even Google news. GOD will not allow Israel to be "wiped off the face of the Earth."

    "Hi Cathy.

I concur with Mell and brother Jesse.

I would like to highlight a few things,

1st. The lord uses that staff to shepherd only his own.

2nd. The fact that after we become a part of the sheepfold and a staff is needed to keep his sheep in line It means two things. One is the sheep definitely will stray without the keeping power of our Great Shepherd.

Secondly, if we supposedly come into the sheepfold and get lost, We were never really part of the sheepfold and the Lord was never our Great shepherd.

It reminds me of John 10:25-30. "Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

I and my Father are one."

    God bless."

    Gill's Exposition of the Bible

And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof,.... Upon the altar covered with a blue cloth; on that were to be put everything belonging to the altar:

wherewith they minister about it; the priests, when they offered sacrifice on it:

even the censers, the flesh-hooks, and the shovels, and the basins,

all the vessels of the altar; of which see Exodus 27:3,

and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skins: to prevent the rains falling upon them, which being all of brass, would be apt to tarnish:

and put to the staves of it; which were made to bear and carry it on such an occasion as this, Exodus 27:6. No mention is made of the laver, though there is both in the Septuagint and Samaritan versions, which add,"and they shall take a purple cloth and cover the layer, and its base, and shall put it into a covering of skin of a blue colour, and put it upon bearers:''but perhaps the reason why this is not mentioned is, because it was carried uncovered; the mystery of which, Ainsworth conjectures, was this, that it might be a lively representation of the grace of God in Christ, continuing and opened as an ever springing fountain, where always God's elect, having faith in him, may wash and purge themselves in the blood of Christ unto forgiveness of sin sanctification of the Spirit, and salvation; see Zechariah 13:1.
