This can be overcome. Pray that He will take the urge, and the feeling of dependency away. That , you must know that He will do it! He will do it if you want it!!! You must want it , the first day is the hardest, after that it is all downhill. Know He has got this! You are no different than those who have gone before you! He has given you a way to escape. Pray, without ceasing, in all your ways acknowledge Him! In the power, yours in Christ ,Fred

In Luke 8:11 the seed is the word of God.

    Luke 8:11

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

In Eph 6:17 the sword is the word of God.

    Ephesians 6:17

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

In Eph 5:26 the water is the word of God.

Baptism in rainwater does not save but baptism in the Holy Spirit and washing in the water of the word of God does save.

    1 Peter 1:23

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

The spirit of evil will works its work through the unbelieving soul. Those who do it ignorantly, and those who know the truth and have deliberately chosen it's way.

Evil has a mission. It must provide its own promises and rewards unto those who expect it, else what would be the reason?

Riches, power, manipulation, deception, all this and more unto those who will worship this one who has made himself into an angel of light, that He may gain the preeminence , deceiving the very elect!

Be not deceived, God is not mocked . You cannot serve two masters, you will love only one or the other ,but never both.

The day of judgment hath arrived!

Remember that the meek shall inherit the earth!

    Repent and be Baptized

Works do not save. Only believing God will result in salvation. However, faith that does not bear out in evidence is not real faith and cannot save. That is why we are told that faith without works (evidence) cannot save because it is not genuine.

Hi Thelma. In this small section in Hebrews 12:22-24, we see the Hebrews writer describing the view of Heaven as it should appear to all believers in Christ. The other view, vv 18-21, was of Mt. Sinai, where the old Law was given accompanied with magnificent sights, fires, thunders, & severe punishment for any who came close to it.

As Christians, Mt. Sinai has no bearing on us, where the Judgement of God was ready to pour out on the disobedient. Now our view is of Mt. Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem, where judgement is passed & only worship, praise, & thanksgiving given to the Lord God & to His Son Jesus Christ. And why is this so? Because all in Heaven now (aside from the heavenly beings), are those of the redeemed of the Lord: the general assembly (all believers from all over the world are represented); the Church of the firstborn (I think implies the early Church built upon Christ & the apostles); the spirits of just men made perfect (again, all believers made just & holy through Christ, & are now perfected (all stain of sin & corruption finally removed)). And of course in verse 24, "And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel"; the Lamb of God who now sits at the right Hand of the Father, as the One Who through His Blood & ushering in of the New Covenant of Grace, will always be our view in this glorious heavenly vista.

And the chapter goes on to remind those in the Church on Earth to serve God with reverence & godly fear because of all that Jesus has attained for us & by the witnesses around the Throne - those who have been redeemed from the Earth & living in continual worship & praise to the One Who gave Himself for us. But there was this warning, as in other parts of Hebrews, to those who were not true believers, who despised the Truth & trying to infect others with their teachings, bringing in their own message - they would not escape God's Wrath.

Richard, I don't believe that John 3:5 speaks of water baptism, as the verses around it shows. In verse 3, Jesus speaks of a spiritual birth to get into the Kingdom. Verse 4: Nicodemus is thinking, a physical re-birth - an impossibility of course. Verse 6: Jesus clarifies that the 'water' alludes to the physical birth, while the 'spirit' alludes to the spiritual birth.

To make verse 5 mean that one has to be water baptized to be born again is not only inconsistent with the passage, it then raises the matter of carrying out a physical act to accompany 'faith', to bring about salvation; we are saved only by God's Grace through faith & nothing else. To add anything to faith, negates its very meaning. Marke is correct that water baptism is merely an act, after saving faith & reception of the Spirit, demonstrating a personal & public testimony of a change of one's direction & alignment with the merits of Christ's Sacrifice. In those days, such a public demonstration incurred great costs to the new Christian, as even today in countries where the Cross of Christ is despised, something not seen or felt in countries having a Christian foundation.

Hello Patty. When a believer (i.e. one who has placed his faith in Jesus Christ for salvation) passes away, his/her soul & spirit are received into Heaven immediately, while the body remains on Earth. Some believe that the soul/spirit remain on the Earth but generally they don't know where they reside.

I share the following Scriptures in support: 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 (Paul is giving the distinction of where our spirits can only be: on Earth or in Heaven; if we're on Earth (home in the body) then we're not in Heaven. But if we're not in the body, then we must be "present with the Lord").

Philippians 1:21-24 (Again, Paul was caught in a strait (a predicament): he was ready & willing to depart to Christ (i.e. his spirit), but if he remained on Earth then his ministry could continue to the Philippians & others. He longed to go, but also knew that at God's appointed time his departure would come).

Examples of Stephen ( Acts 7:54-60). As he was being stoned & in his final breaths, he called upon Jesus to receive his spirit. At the Transfiguration ( Matthew 17:1-8), Jesus was transfigured (where we get the word, metamorphosis from the Greek): to change/transform in appearance; & with Jesus, Moses & Elijah appeared talking with Jesus - Moses & Elijah had long been dead, but have returned, not from the dead, but from Heaven.

And John 11:21-27. Jesus talks with Martha about the death of her brother Lazarus. She believed in the general resurrection of all people at the appointed time, but Jesus tells her something she didn't know, of the believing dead & living: whether in death or in life, the believer never dies (spiritually) - the body might perish & decay, but Jesus Who is our Resurrection & Life, guarantees that the spirit will live on as the body will one day be raised incorruptible.

"The dead in Christ shall rise first": speaks of the Rapture ('harpazo') of the Church when both the living & dead will be 'snatched away' from the Earth to meet Jesus in the air.

Dear "Mrs Shipman", In Proverb u can find some.

I think you need to pray for this person/persons. Give the prayer attention as in prayer. Then the Lord will come and deliver the person. Sometimes things can happen quickly, but be prepared that it can take months of such prayer. But you will immediately see that your prayers will be answered, because things happen to those who are prayed for. I posted something here months ago. And sees and has seen things change. Then the thanksgiving will be greater and the grace will be endless thanks to God in Jesus name. No matter what happens do not be discouraged. Jesus is with you.

God bless you in Jesus Name, He loves you and I love all my siblings in Christ. Acts 4:13-31

To "New Abortion Legislation", The main thing is that the women who are now pregnant have to pay for themselves. In the USA, which does not have such good insurance for all people there, this new proposal will "catch" the young people without money. The most important thing now is to talk to the young people themselves to make them understand that they must not have sex until they are married and old enough to take care of their offspring.

I see the antichrist in this if it goes beyond people with poor finances. Will it eventually increase poverty in the United States: For everyone who has to give birth will not be able to support their children.

The young people themselves must come on the field now and say what they think about this.

Acts 4: 13-31 Stay blessed all and Jesus Loves us, when we do His will, i love u all in Christ.

Hello Marke, what do you think of this verse?

    James 2:19-20

If believing-only is all that is needed, why does this verse appear to contradict that idea? Since satan and demons believe in God does that mean they are "saved" too?

Again I give you scripture, not my own opinion. John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

It begins on the Sunday before the Passover when Jesus entered Jerusalem, riding on a colt (of a donkey) and the crowds hailed Him as the Messiah. Holy Week ends with the next Sunday, the day of Jesus' resurrection. In between there is the Passover Supper, the agony in the Garde, the arrest, trial, scourging, beating, and crucifixion of Jesus unto death.

You'll find these happenings in the last chapters of the Gospels

    TO JOYCE P GIPSON

President Biden wants Christians to PAY for abortions.

He has just released his New Budget that would eviscerate protections for life, and Force Christians to directly pay for abortions for the first time since shortly after Roe v. Wade. By unleashing hundreds of millions of dollars for Planned Parenthood to kill more babies. The President will again use the Justice Department against us. [contact ALCJ dot COM to sign the petition]

Mishael: once moreall Christians need to re-register as the "red party". It's legal to change it. We are "Constituents" and political parties need us to win elections and issues. Our votes matter. For decades we've let issues like this, slide along. I cast my vote for the Lord. His name-is Life. Thank you Ms Gipson for your efforts carrying this message.

Jesus talked several times of false prophets, and false Christ's throughout his ministry, and we're just seeing the results of what he was talking about. 1 John 4:1-21 tells us to try the spirits, and gives us some guidance as to trying the spirits and what to be aware of.

Mark 13:22 "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect."

2 Corinthians 11:13-15, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

We need to carefully assess what Peter was told when He confessed Christ as the "Son of God." ( Matthew 16:15-16). Only God could have revealed this to him; that was the Lord's answer.

For the entire 3 1/2 years of Christ's ministry; they had never had a moment to doubt His victory over any circumtance; and had seen a few who were raised from the dead (Lazarus being only a week or so before Christ's crucifixion.) After Christ's repeated warnings "let this saying sink into your ears" ( Luke 9:44) where He predicted His crucifixion; AND all the related prophecies of the 'man of sorrows" from Isaiah 53; Psalm 22; and numerous other passages; they simply weren't prepared for the sudden letdown of His being arrested; tortured and killed. In human strength; during His agonies at Gethsemene; they simply fell asleep. When He was crucified; they simply were too emotionally spent to conceive that somehow He would be resurrected. Therefore they didn't even believe when the women reported the angels and the stone removed from the tomb.

It could be surmised that their betrayal in their minds led to Christ's death as though somehow it wasn't in the plan of redemption. After He came to them "incognito" in Luke 24; they finally got it only after he chastised their unbelief.

Up until this point; perhaps they weren't themselves prepared or having the strength to die themselves and to fulfill the Great Commission themselves. Christ in the flesh was all they knew; but after Pentecost; they were given what was promised from above with the Spirit indwelling after He had ascended to heaven; was seated in heavenly places; and ever interceding for us ( Hebrews 7:25).

What does just men made perfect mean?

Thank you Jayne for sharing a little more of what you have been going through. Indeed, I think of Jesus' Words in Matthew 26:41, "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak"; though this verse clearly is to show the value of prayer & spiritual exercise when under temptation, I also see that the same Truth can be applied to those, like yourself, who truly love the Lord & wholly committed to Him, but a physical weakness or lack of abilities prevent that love being manifested as you would like.

But as Giannis has wisely shared, that God even takes our very few resources & uses them mightily, achieving great things, when we give our all to Him & give it only for His Glory. I believe that we can clearly see that in you, by your efforts to make Christ known & bring blessing to others. I know that you want to do much more, but just to rest in God's Care & Guidance, He will then open up new ways to minister to others, ways denied to others because they have not earnestly sought the Lord's Leading. I think of that lovely hymn, 'Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to Thee'; you probably know it - the words can be found on the Web. It truly reflects your heart's desire & such a desire the Lord will not overlook nor can disappoint. Every blessing from Him Who watches & cares for you.

The book of Enoch is an old book, like the book of Josephus' writings, written by man but not included by God in the completed books of the Bible.
