Dear Bon, You are correct that Jesus is the Son of God who took on flesh to be our

Savior through His death and resurrection.

However, He is indeed God who took on flesh. In this incarnation, His divine nature did not change. He took upon Himself the

additional nature of man in order to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

    Hello Somefair,

I think the verse you are seeking is 1 Timothy 6:16.

This verse is speaking of the Father, who lives in approachable light which no one has seen or can see.

Jesus, although God in the flesh, is the express image of the Father. But the two are not the same Persons. The Godhead

of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit who possess the one divine nature. That is why we say that God is three Persons in One God.

Those who saw Jesus saw God the Son who took upon Himself human flesh. Prior to this, He was pure Spirit as the Father and

    Holy Spirit are.

Richard, so true about how we are to handle Scripture.

I was just thinking last night about seeking God's wisdom in understanding Scripture as a whole as well as individual verses, chapters, and books. Those who lack wisdom from God can easily take a verse and apply it incorrectly in their life in ways that are detrimental to themselves or others. Some may read where Job thinks he is better off dead and take that to mean that they, too are better off dead. Or where it is written in the law that children who dishonor their parent is to be stoned. These are two extreme examples. But I chose those to show how a person can take a snippet of Scripture and use it badly. This approach is how cults get started and people are led astray into heresy, apostasy or into such groups because they lack wisdom and a full knowledge of Scripture to balance out their thinking.

Thank you for your analysis. It is helpful. Job is a very interesting book, I have read it several times, but have not studied it in depth yet.

Dear Kenneth, i agree with Roman's comment. 2 Peter 3:8-9. It simply states that for God our day is like a thousand years for Him, and one thousand years for us like a day for Him. I think we shouldn't stick to numbers as absolute figures, I think that God simply says that for Him time is something totally different to human's time.

Please pray for my son. He is flying to Singapore today to spend a month there. His wife is there hoping to return on a renewed VISA. She had to go back January 1st. Pray that the flights to and from are safe and that her VISA will be approved for her to come back to the States again.

My daughter divorced her husband for having sex with their daughter. I told her that God made allowances for divorce in such cases of fornication. I also told her that God allows remarriage in cases like hers but that she needs to be careful to seek His will in the matter because remarriage is not something that is encouraged in the Bible, even if not always discouraged.

    1 Corinthians 7:27-29

    King James Version

27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.

28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

There are two types of people in view here. The divorced and virgins are not wrong if they marry, but only in the Lord.

The handwriting on the wall recorded in Daniel 5 signified the transfer of the kingdom from the Chaldeans to the Medes and Persians. The Chaldeans were represented by the head of gold in the image in Daniel 2. The Medes and Persians were represented by the arms of silver. The ensuing Grecian empire was represented by the thighs of brass. The Roman empire was represented by the legs of iron and the feet represent the coming one world order mess developing right now in our day.

    Daniel 2

29 As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.

30 But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.

31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.

32 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,

33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.

34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

The Amalekites stood throughout the OT as a type of the flesh that is always at war with God. The flesh is still at war with God in the unsaved and saved alike.

Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God are all God, but Jesus laid aside His heavenly role when He took upon Himself the form of a man and was made in the likeness of men. No man has seen God the Father or the Holy Spirit in heaven but men did see God manifest in the flesh as Jesus.

Elijah is likely one of the two witnesses spoken of in Revelation 11, and Enoch is likely the other. Enoch and Elijah were the only two men who disappeared from the earth without dying in the OT, only to reappear on earth during the tribulation and die there.

    Rev 11

3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Beloved "Rick A Bussard", imagine thoughts of peace, gentleness, tenderness, tenderness, the gifts of love. I advise you to read the Praise Song where you will get some insight into what the Lord's thoughts are.

And also think of Easter which is now at the door. He gave Himself. We have so much to thank Jesus for. Every day in heart and mind. Fill us with the word so we become acquainted with Him who has all Power. Amen

Stay blessed in His Holy Name, love u in Christ.

Dear "Somefair" you have right the pure of heart shall see God. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Exodus 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

(Here we are reminded of God's Holiness again).

Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Think what Jesus has done for us? Jesus loves us all, and i love u all in Christ.

Genesis 19:9And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

(We should always think about what is best for our neighbor).

    Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Amen

Christ was definately flesh , just like us , he did however receive the Spirit of God without measure , something that had happened in the past to the prophets of old but not without measure . God cannot be tempted , we read that Christ was tempted just as we are , unlike us , Christ resisted to death . Even on the cross he was tempted as the Jews shouted to him ; if you are the son of God come down from the cross , save yourself . This would have been a temptation to anyone who could actually do that if they chose to ,

considering the physical pain he will have been in .

Beloved "Richard H Priday", everything is just emptiness without the Holy Spirit. For without Jesus we dig and run in all directions and do not know where we end up.

Ecclesiastes 1:1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.

2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.

3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?

4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.

5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Be blessed in Jesus' Holy Name i love you in Christ. 1 Corintihans 15

Dear "Carol", Isaia 14:12-15 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Be blessed in the name of Jesus love you in Christ. 1 Corintihans 15

    Alex,

Yes, definitely the spirit goes to God at death, leaving the body behind.

The full matter of whose spirit is doing what and when is in accordance with the order of resurrections.

There is much confusion on this topic that will never be settled in our time, unless you have the code.

Hi John. Just to add to Kay's very good points, something which does help both in identifying with the sufferer & giving of yourself to the one in pain, is doing what the Lord puts on your heart to be an instrument of blessing.

We can never hope or expect to help every suffering person/child in the world, but by understanding the reason for suffering (as Kay has shared), we can take it further in expressions of faith & love. No doubt you pray for those you know who maybe going through various trials (family, friends, the street dwellers in your city, single parents) & those in other countries where famine, wars, disease may be rampant. When we come expectantly to God in prayer, we can truly believe that He is ministering to the hurting in ways that may be beyond our imagination.

If we're able, we can help practically to those we can physically contact, whether in gifts of food, clothing, or even a listening ear & a guiding hand. I write this not just to pacify your heart, but also that you may know that whatever contribution you make to help others at home or abroad, given in the spirit of godly love & concern, will bring the desired results. There are so many people & organizations that are heavily involved in this very matter, because like you, the thought of men, women & children in pain is so disturbing. Now if everyone can have such concern & practically help others, so much suffering in the world will be relieved. And when believers do so, helping others in the Name of the Lord, the Lord's Name is magnified & the witness of Divine Love becomes evident to them & their ears & hearts are open.

As has been said, pain & suffering will always be with us - our sin & corrupt nature guarantees that - but expressions of the Love of God in practical ways will help many & even be the catalyst for the suffering heart to be open as the Spirit leads His servants to them. Often we're just one small cog in God's great ministry to the practically & spiritually needy.
