Deborah, no translation from one language to another is perfect. It matters not whether it is alway are always, we know from other scriptures through God's Word that thanksgiving and praise to God should be unending, in the fire or out of the fire.

Isaiah 24:15 Wherefore glorify ye the Lord in the fires ......

Romans 8:28 For we know that all things (even evil) work together for GOOD to them that love God, to them WHO ARE THE CALLED according to HIS PURPOSE.

Over 18 years ago, I believe that God gave me a dream of prophecy. In the dream there was a person whom God revealed was my best friend in the dream. Please pray, that IF God will, that God will reveal to that person all of my life, and where to find me, and that God will reveal to me, who this person is, and give me, right now, as I am, favor in this person's heart. As God "brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs," as God gave Joseph favor in Potiphar's, the prison guard officials', and eventually into the Pharaoh's and all of Egypt's site, and as Ruth found favor in Boaz's site (BECAUSE of Naomi), pray God give me likewise in this person's site. Thank you!

Is there a biblical reference to forgiving someone that hurt you but not wanting to be around that person?
  • Deborah A Eads on Philippians 4 - 3 years ago
I want to know the difference between the word "alway" and "always". Bible dictionaries state that "alway" is no longer used so it essentially means the same as "always". But I know there must have been a good reason for the KJV translators to originally use the word "alway" instead of "always" in the first place. I believe there are 23 instances in the Bible where "alway" is used. In Phil 4:4 does alway mean to rejoice at the beginning and at the end of a trial - during the course of this trial you won't rejoice because of the pain or suffering but because grace sustains you, you will rejoice at the completion of the trial. You rejoice during the trial because grace is sustaining you but you don't rejoice because your are sick, injured, etc. Am I right?

To always rejoice means you rejoice at every thing that is happening all the time. ??

Thank you...I'm teaching a class and the use of this word will need to be addressed.

    Sincerely...all help appreciated...Debbie Eads

The Ten Commandments says you should not commit murder . To me suicide is self murder . I do believe if the person doesn't die instantly and asks for forgiveness they are forgiven.
  • Casting Lots in the Bible - In Reply - 3 years ago
The practice of casting lots is mentioned seventy times in the Old Testament and seven times in the New Testament. In spite of the many references to casting lots in the Old Testament, nothing is known about the actual lots themselves. They could have been sticks of various lengths, flat stones like coins, or some kind of dice; but their exact nature is unknown. The closest modern practice to casting lots is likely flipping a coin.

The practice of casting lots occurs most often in connection with the division of the land under Joshua (Joshua chapters 14-21), a procedure that God instructed the Israelites on several times in the book of Numbers ( Numbers 26:55; 33:54; 34:13; 36:2). God allowed the Israelites to cast lots in order to determine His will for a given situation ( Joshua 18:6-10; 1 Chronicles 24:5,31). Various offices and functions in the temple were also determined by lot ( 1 Chronicles 24:5, 31; 25:8-9; 26:13-14). The sailors on Jonah's ship ( Jonah 1:7) also cast lots to determine who had brought God's wrath upon their ship. The eleven apostles cast lots to determine who would replace Judas ( Acts 1:26). Casting lots eventually became a game people played and made wagers on. This is seen in the Roman soldiers casting lots for Jesus' garments ( Matthew 27:35).

The New Testament nowhere instructs Christians to use a method similar to casting lots to help with decision-making. Now that we have the completed Word of God, as well as the indwelling Holy Spirit to guide us, there is no reason to be using games of chance to make decisions. The Word, the Spirit, and prayer are sufficient for discerning God's will today-not casting lots, rolling dice, or flipping a coin.

Mishael: people ought always seek the Lord for answers to problems and decisions. Sometimes, NO answer is the answer. Be sure your question is a Godly one. also, God appointed prophets to speak the answer of the Lord: do this or do that. Today: we pray.

John, God is no respector of persons, he does NOTHING because of who we are, he does EVERYTHING because of who HE IS.

Casting lots is simply so we can understand that it's God's work and God's appointed timing. We receive these benefits of mercy and truth at God's appointed time and by HIS WORKS.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received of him ABIDETH IN YOU, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it (the anointing) has taught you, you shall abide in him.

Colossians 1:27 ....this mystery....CHRIST IN YOU.....

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (CHRIST IN YOU) that WORKETH IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

You are THE BODY OF CHRIST, the new BIRTH.

Lynn, the grave awaits those that commit suicide, they will be brought back to their flesh at the second resurrection, judged, brought to truth, and given their place in the Kingdom of God.

Psalms 22:27 All the ends of the world SHALL REMEMBER and TURN unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship thee.

Acts 17:26 And hath made of ONE BLOOD all nations to DWELL on all the FACE OF THE EARTH, and hath DETERMINED the times before APPOINTED, and the BOUNDS of their habitation.

Christ give us eyes to see the TRUTH in your WORDS.

    Hi Ravina.

I believe you are referring to

1 John 2:2 And he is the PROPITIATION for our sins: and not for our's only, BUT ALSO FOR THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD.

Christ is an expiator. our atonement.

This is made available but we must be careful not to deceive ourselves.

If one have been truly born again he/she has been transformed and habitual sin not present in their life.

I believe we should also consider

Romans 6:1-11. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Likewise "RECKON" ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I believe Paul is telling us to Recognize that we are dead to sin!

and it shouldn't have a hold on you.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

Hi Rick, I'm not sure who you're intending to reply to, but that person may not see it especially if its old. I'm pretty sure they don't want politics in the Bible discussion, but I already see some other misinformation some posted, so now I feel led to post the truth. I feel that truth is the perfect antidote for lies.

The current administration is illegitimate. Facts, data, and common sense all support that. Elections have had a percent of fraud for a long time, but what is peculiar is people's denial of this fact. People were sent to prison and are still in prison for election fraud from long before the president that a certain group acts irrationally hateful and disrespectful towards. So to pretend that no election ever in US history has ever had fraud is an easily debunked falsehood.

Next, there is lots of video evidence of democrat election workers putting up concealment barriers on windows so they couldn't be seen. There's security video of ballots being run over and over late at night after the watchers left. There was a suspicious hockey stick uplift at 3am-5am after polls close in key states which seemed 100% in favor of Biden and strangely Trump somehow 'lost' votes during this time. How can a candidate lose votes after they were already counted? There is video of news feeds on live TV that show this. And many dead people voted, overwhelmingly for Biden. How can dead people vote? I had to see for myself so I found the news article of someone who died, copy/paste into the election registry website and sure enough shows they were registered and voted. Voters rolls were intentionally not updated. State of California resisted and was even sued over this. Key states are still withholding evidence. So, if there's nothing to hide why would all the behavior suggest a cover up? And its never been fully investigated yet, because of all the resistance. Biden was never popular- he ran and failed at least 3 times before, but now in 80s more votes than Obama?

    Hi Keith.

King Solomon didn't ask for those earthy things, God rewarded him with them.

    Here's scripture proof.

1 Kings 3:8-13. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

    And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

(-And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.-)

And as for the nation as a whole, When they walked in Gods ways and statutes he blessed them and gave them rest.

Exodus 23:25-27. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

    God bless.

Your comments are always gracious, Suze! :)

I had forgotten to mention in my first post on this topic, that I've read others' comments on Samson, which make sense. Samson didn't commit suicide, but what he did was an act of war to take down (literally!) the bitter enemies of Israel. That's an interesting differentiation.

If Samson was suicidal - he could have done himself in before that - but it's obvious from the Biblical account, he saw an opportunity to fight his peoples' enemies, and laid down his life to do it.

    Blessings!

Many years ago now, the Lord directed me to 'seek the old paths, where is the right way..." I began to read the old-time preachers; what I have found out is that none of them that I have read so far who commented on the topic of suicide said that whosoever commits suicide goes to heaven.

In the book "Pilgrim's Progress", by John Bunyan, there is an interesting discourse between Christian and Hopeful which took place when they were prisoners of Giant Despair, held captive in a stinking dungeon. The Giant beat them severely, and withheld food and drink to them; their case was miserable. In their misery, the Giant advised them to kill themselves, because there was little hope they'd ever get out of prison.

Christian desponded greatly, and actually considered taking his life. Thanks be to God for a good brother in Hopeful, who said to him: "But let us consider what the Lord of the country to which we are going has to say. He declares, "You shall not

commit murder, no not to another man's person." How much more then are we forbidden to take the Giant's advice and kill

ourselves. Besides, he who kills another can only commit murder upon his body; but for one to kill himself is to kill both body and soul at the same time. And moreover, my brother, you talk about ease in the grave; but have you forgotten the Hell where it is certain that murderers go? For no murderer has eternal life,"

I listened to a video on the "Servus Christi' you tube channel entitled, "Suicide - A Biblical Warning." It is one of the best lessons on this subject I've ever heard.

    Blessings!

    Galations 6:14. Matthew 13:24-30, Matthew 13:37-43.

Focusing our attention on the tares is dangerous, especially if we use language like fight. The angels have authority under Christ to deal with the tares at the end of age. I don't have that authority, since that only will damage the wheat.

I also see Trump leads an evil empire with followers that shout "Hang Mike Pence" and that say prayers in the Senate chamber that ask Christ to bless their wicked rebellion founded on Trump's lie that the election was stolen. It was lost, not stolen. Delusions like this are every bit as strong as the delusions the Democrats operate under. Both delusions are needed to reinforce the other and Satan just laughs at the blindness on both sides.

Casting lots was a form of divination for some and for others it was akin to "drawing straws" to determine an outcome. It was often used to discover the will of God in a situation such as choosing an apostle to replace Judas.

Emotions r very normal , some r beneficial like love and joy etc . Some can lead us into trouble if we allow them to dominate us . For me , one of the best things about the Bible is that it's full of very human people . Foolish vulnerable sinners , just like us . Reading about their trials and tribulations we can learn how their faith in God's love and mercy helped to get them through their problems . We are all different on here , different lifestyles and even beliefs . One thing we all have in common is pain . Pain that has been inflicted on us in many different ways by this world and the things that pertain to it . It's good for us to share our pain with each other , it's helps us to connect with each other on a deeper level . Not always easy but for sure , it's worth it . Give it a go sometime . Share your pain with a fellow Christian . If u can't share it with a fellow Christian who can u share it with ? God of course . He gives us to each other for very good reasons , we can help each other if we r prepared to take a chance now and again .

I messed things up really bad with my ex. He was so, so great to me and he loved me despite all i put him through and i ruined it at the end because i was in such a bad place mentally. We broke up a little over 3 months ago and ive grown a lot in that time. I really, really miss him. So much. Id give anything to have a second chance to be better to him because he deserves it after everything i put him through. He has me blocked, which I understand, and ive been praying for god to open the doors needed so that we could come back together. I have so, so much love for him, and if he came back to me i could honestly see myself spending the rest of my life with him. Ive tried moving on, but i look for him in everyone else i try to date and i dont want anyone else. I feel like our relationship ended way too early because of where i was mentally, and i just wish i could have a chance to do better now that i am better. Ive been praying for about a month now for God to restore our relationship and bless me with a second chance to be with him again. Im scared that its too late and that he may already be dating someone else. I couldnt handle knowing that. He was my friend for 3 years before we started dating, and i liked him the entire time. I know that if God allowed me to be with him again, I would do everything in my power to treat Justin the way he deserves and be a light of God in his life. Would you mind praying for God to open the doors needed and bless me with favor to restore our relationship? I know God sees my heart and sees how deeply I want this. I would do anything God asked of me to be able to have Justin back. I am absolutely miserable and i just want a second chance with him but im scared its too late and he may have another girl already. I couldn't bare finding out he does. Id give anything to have him reach out to me since i cant reach out to him again. I need Gods help.

Amen dear "Denise", You are so right. Nothing can compare with Our Lord and Master. Our God. And my view is that you friend, had thought He was who He pretended to be. We know that He has always loved us, and that He is one with you in His Body. Therefore, it is also so right and pray for your husband, he is also part of this body. As the Lord has. I've probably loved Him all my life. Easy and sought after, been away but He has been there. Have stumbled but He has raised me up. Everything is for His glory, Amen

Amen Hallelujah the Lord hears your prayer and He will answer you. Maybe not as you want or think, but after He wills. Hope you will be comforted dear friend in Jesus. Remember that we have great hope and trust in Him, that He will take us Home to Himself. And that we will always be with the Lord. And see Him as He Is Emo Eimi Amen.

John 11:28-17 Stay forever blessed in His holy Name, love u in Christ.

Nicole they also ask Jesus about the end of the world...What shall be the sign of your coming and the end of the world... Matthew 24 ...He spoke of several things but 1 thing he said that was so interesting is Sorrows, Child birth...Woe unto them with Child and them that give suck in those days...Which is the Woman in Rev 12 : 5 She brought forth a man Child that is gonna rule all nations and Satan is trying to kill her and her Child...Her Child being the H.G....That Child of Promise which is the H.G. The spirit of truth that is gonna reprove the world of sin and righteousness and JUDGEMENT...As Isaiah said a lil Child is gona led them... Isaiah 11 : 6 kjv...Satan wants to destroy the Woman and her Child...Simply b/c the Child is the KiNGDOM that is gonna be born in US.

......Unless ya receive the KINGDOM of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in...And thats y the new birth is so important...We are gonna birth a baby Christ which is the H.G...The Kingdom

....When Isaiah saw the KINGDOM coming in Isaiah 9 : 6....He said unto us a Child is born unto us a son is given...And the Govmt is gonna be on his shoulders....He is gonna rule all the world when the end of this world comes..Knowledge is gonna cover the earth as the waters cover the seas....Impling he is gonna know everybody thus an intimacy that is gonna result in a birth of Christ in us ALL...If i be lifted up I will draw ALL men unto me..At the end of the age the book will be opened that contains the living words ( the seeds of the sower) that is gonna be sown in all the world...The field is the world as Jesus said.

......As God told Daniel these words ( the Words of Wonder ) are closed up and sealed till the time of the end....The seeds of the Sower...ok lemme go
