Dear Heavenly Father, Susanne is asking for you to help her and her daughter stop smoking cigarettes. Lord God, take away the craving and addiction to nicotine for both of these dear women. Heavenly Father, press D. into rehab and ensure that it is successful for him. He has suffered from this addiction for too long and needs deliverance. Give D. the clearness of mind to recognize his dire need and compel him to enter rehab AND to call on You for help and salvation. Dear George, I will pray for you and your mother today.

Dear heavenly Father, Be with George's mother in these hours, give her peace and calm. Free her from the pain of

COPD. Receive her to You at the time of her passing. Help George through this time. Comfort him and allow him to spend these hours with his mother, thought they be painful. I think that each woman needs to take this before the Lord for guidance.

As an aside, isn't it interesting that it is only women who traditionally adorn their face with makeup, shapely clothing, jewelry, hairstyles, etc. I have always wondered why this is. I have often thought that God made our bodies as he saw fit, so why do we think we need to "improve" it. Granted, makeup and such does make a woman "look" more beautiful and enticing to men. But we do need to believe that the way God made us really should be enough and Christian men should be desiring godly women not just sexually attractive women adorned to entice him. But alas, women have been "marketed" this way for thousands of years.

I have worn make-up over the years as a teacher. But now that I am retired, I do not.

We have an example of a godly women being adorned with jewelry in Genesis 24:22 where Abraham's servant (most likely Eliezar) was sent to find a wife for Isaac. He prayed along the way for the LORD to identify the right woman for a wife for Isaac.

When he came upon Rebecca at the well the servant knew that she was this woman and put a ring in her nose and bracelets on her wrists. all of gold. This must have been customary in those times to identify a woman as being betrothed.

For special birthday gift I praying for and special prayer request to be answered in Jesus Christ's Name Amen.

In response to your 1st response, I felt that further explanation was in order. This is the beauty of peaceful conversation between believers. We add to one another's knowledge and wisdom of the God in the Word. In your 1st response I realized that other believers may not be familiar with the idea of what a catechism is. It contains and teaches from Scripture the essential main doctrines (teachings/beliefs) of the Christian faith. Such instruction in these doctrines is beneficial for any believer, especially those new to faith or youth entering the time in their life where their young faith will be challenged/tested by exposure to many worldly/false ideas in multiple venues in their teen years.

FREE, I am not bothered at all that you responded to my 1st post on this thread. It pressed me to further explain my thinking to someone I know to be honest. Thank you for doing so. We "sharpen" one another with our conversations. It is a good thing.

I'm having a CT scan right now please pray Gods will be done. I believe He already healed me regardless of the results. Help me pray up a shield against doubt that the Father WILL be pleased with me. God is SO good. Holy Spirit is here with me. I feel Him!

Hi Marilyn , like Free , I think it's up to the individual . I never wore make up when I was young , as I'm getting on in years now and I see my face changing in ways I don't like , I wear a bit of mascara as I don't have much in the way of eyelashes any more , I draw a bit of eyebrow in but only a bit as they are a bit sparse and pale and I dye my hair the colour it is or rather was before it went a grayish with a bit of white .The eyebrows and lashes take me five minutes and I look a bit better in my own eyes . I don't judge other women as I know how disheartening it can be to see looks fade , even though I still feel twenty years old inside , and I also feel that people treat me different as I get older and I don't much like that . Some women like to try to stay young looking , it's a weakness perhaps but we all have weaknesses . Some are visible and some we are able to hide from others but we all have them .God knows our hearts .

Today, most churches are so apostate - you can't tell the difference between them and a secular community center. By the 40's (if not earlier) - secularism was becoming more common in worship, new Bible versions (which remove or change the meaning of God's word) and pastors began to seek after money and spectacles rather than sole saving.

David, Your post is seven months old, yet I feel pressed to respond. President Biden and his administration are proving to be an evil empire, and calling good evil and evil good. Almost everything they've done has hurt our nation and has brought death around the world, such was Biden's failed departure from Afghanistan, and currently his lack of assistance to the people in Ukraine, while they are being attacked by Putin. I've been praying that God will raise up a Gideon's army in Ukraine that will destroy Russia's advances. I pray daily that God gives us eyes that see and ears that hear, in order we stay tuned in to God and fight against the evil that surrounds us.

Please pray that all bondage, all compulsion, all addictions are broken, all those things not of God. Please pray for revelations from the Lord as to what is blocking deliverance. For all my brothers and/or sisters going through adivorce and the triala it commplicates, God does bless the broken the broken road which leads us too a signifigant other. I just want to thank God this morning for answers to many prayers, especially this last year. Since I have found this prayer board and one other that is utilized world wide. Not only has Jesus redeemed me from a backslidden fruitless state, He delivered me from blatant sin. I was delivered from drugs, cigarettes, and a prayerless, Wordless existence. I haven't smoked a cigarette in 7 months TODAY! And I was in bondage to that. When God delivered me from that I was able to gain much ground in the kingdom. Thank you all for praying and for allowing me the blessing of praying for you. God is mighty. Jesus is Lord. Let's pull down some more strongholds by prayer and fasting! Let's pray some more healings down from The Father. Yes He wants to!
