intercedes to keep us on the right path; to outwith the enemy, even ourselves-flesh.
Lately i've been realizing how vital this gift is.
I feel at peace mostly when i'm reading the bible and staying home and in my garden.
but when i go to stores, like the grocercy stores etc, the grieving starts because of the music etc.
Jesus Rose from the dead, from the flesh to give us His Spirit (to help us, for comfort, for counseling (only He really knows what
we need) for guidance, and consolation.
Its very very special.
Its my treasure, my secret.
But on the other hand, the enemy wants to try to ruin it, or make fun of it

The New Covenant with The Law written upon our hearts and minds by The Holy Spirit.
Only by The New Covenant or Baptism can we really keep the commandments.
The old covenant could not save them by flesh sacrifices, they tried and tried to keep the commandments,
but always fell away.
I got saved when i was in elementary school with mabel, we prayed to receive Jesus into my heart of which i really wanted to do, although did not fully understand the full meaning of what we were doing.
So went through junior and high school, etc. living just like everyone else (sinners just like everyone else around me).
Although inside of me, something wasnt right, and others too (either needing to get saved or saved).
and not being apart of a church full time.
but kept searching all the way to my early 20's.
It was when i was staying with my grandparents, Lee told me to got a certain church in az., so i went to the sunday school class
and it was about The Baptism and after the lady prayed over me, she said you are praying and i looked at her and while walking out a Heavenly Prayer language came pouring out.
Although i was saved as a little girl, i never fully obeyed, until I received The Baptism of The Holy Spirit.
When that happened all desire to go to the movies, watch certain programs, alcohol etc, and wordly music all went away.
He took it all away.
I have absolutely no desire to sin, i hate it.
Although there might/have been times where we get tricked or deceived or slip into something, Jesus helps us.
And i find that that is what causes the grieving or depression.
I am 54 years old now, and have had this gift now for over 30 years.
I find that the grieving and depression comes when we disobey, when i use to work in a salon with the music and stuff i was
always depressed, i know why now, it grieves His Spirit. The Holy Spirit was grieving in me.
We are to live differently now, by Faith, By His Spirit, His Ways.
And thats why we are given a

Many Christians here in the US have known financial prosperity, both a blessing and possible peril. Our prosperity can make us less dependent on the fellowship of like minded believers and more dependent on continuing to establish an earthly kingdom. Our pilgrim and stranger status is forgotten while our earthly rights are enhanced by certain leadership choices. Do we not want in due time a peaceful departure into eternity? Do we want to leave behind an imbalanced witness of our profession of Jesus as the Lamb of God who saved our souls and gave us peace or our methods of operational worldly interests? What is the value of our salt? Can we be the quiet of the land? Can we by the grace of God be stewards of worldly goods as though we have them not, this kind of stewardship brings a peaceful way and a quiet and happy life even in tribulation.
Here is some extra meat regarding amen, it is the same word as verily. Many times Jesus spoke using this word when teaching, likewise we can speak with him as he speaks to us through His Word. Praise God!

that asked Jesus to remember him, when Jesus came into His Kingdom.
This by no means should be a ritualistic prayer. When we look at it; there really isn't any miraculous manifestation asked for in terms of healing; casting out demons; etc. But it needs to be the foundation of our lives so that our testimonies are genuine and we are living not for ourselves but for God. Clearly; we are NOT to pray as James states to satisfy our lusts ( James 4:3). There are times when we need to say God help! and clearly in a crisis life and death moment that may be enough. Trust in God's provisions despite external circumstances AND that the works that He has for us from before the beginning of the world ( Ephesians 2:10) are two major factors in a good prayer life. Obviously; discipline to listening to His voice; spending quality frequent quiet times in prayer and the Word are helpful as well. It is helpful to understand His will and also to rest in the fact that we have a High priest ever interceding for us ( Hebrews 7:25); and Romans 8:33. We all see through a glass darkly; but should seek to grow in maturity and wisdom.
Then in Matthew and Luke, we see it is time for Jesus to come into the world.
I would suggest reading the Psalms to see how David began and ended prayers. In the New Testament, Jesus said that this is how we ought to pray,
Our Father, Who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts (sins, trespasses) as you forgive our debts. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matt. 6:9-13.
So, this prayer can be used as a framework for one's time in prayer.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
God's enemies have risen up in America with one voice. The barbarian supporters of murder by abortion, sexual perversion by homosexual rights, theft by oppressive taxation, and other ungodly wickedness. There is no fear of God before their eyes. They mock God and persecute His children as if they will never face God to answer for their sins.
I can see both explanations on this, but I tend to agree with you in that, if the verse states it, then I believe it to be true unless it is obvious allegory, imagery, or symbolic.
This discussion reminds me of Romans 14:5-6 and Colossians 2:16 which speaks of not judging others as to whether they keep one day as holy or not, or celebrate some feasts or not. So to me, each person is free to celebrate unto the Lord as they are led to do. Celebrating Holy Week and Easter (as Resurrection Day) does not focus on pagan traditions but on our Lor's final week of life on earth, His death, and His glorious resurrection from the dead. At our church on Resurrection Day, the pastor loudly proclaims, "The Lord is Risen!" And the congregation lifts up a shout, "He is risen, !" That always captures my heart to praise Jesus as I affirm this great event. To have everyone in the congregation shout in unison is wonderful. So, I find this as bring done for the Lord, as Romans 14:5-6 says. And with Colossians 2:16 in mind, I do not judge others as to whether they celebrate this day or not.
But, I agree with you in that we do need to learn about the pagan aspects of celebrating Christian holidays and weed out those practices that give honor to anyone but our Lord.
4 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the Lord against the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may be turned away from Israel.
5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
This is a condemnation of modern churches that support wickedness such as abortion or homosexuality. God did not say "make friends with the ungodly" but, instead, 'totally condemn those that support wickedness promoted by ungodly rebels against God.'
