Dear Lord Jesus,
David comes to You each day on behalf of himself, Kristie, his children, and co-workers. Supply all that they need and especially salvation for his co-workers. Take care of Delmar and his wife along with the Warren family. You know their needs and what they are going through. We trust You to meet them in their need and circumstances, Bless Everyone mentioned here tonight. Cover them with Your grace and mercy. Draw them to You even closer and deepen their knowledge of You as they experience Your great love for each person. We ask these in Jesus' name, Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Be with Jennifer in all her daily tasks. Help her to perform her job with vigor and stamina. Help her to accomplish the shopping and other errands and chores needed to do after she is off of work each day. Keep her strong and alert, and full of energy. Help her to remember You throughout the day and have time to just be with You. Give her peace.
We ask these things in Your name Jesus. Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You on behalf of Brian and Katherine. Please send the best person to them to care for their child. Have this caregiver be familiar with Down's and how to provide care for such a person. Have this caregiver be kind and patient, able to train this child. Have this caregiver be intuitive to the needs of this child and able to communicate with this child well.
We ask these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus, R. is seeking You for help for family and self. We ask that You surround R. and each family member with Your Presence and protect each person spiritually, physically, and emotionally. We ask that You bring healing to any who are infirmed.
Bring assurance to R. that You have heard our prayers and answer these prayers in Your mercy and love. WE ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.
So, it was simply a positionally matter, where Peter was on the man's right side, & if Peter was right-handed, then it would be natural to use his right hand to help lift someone off the ground by his right hand. But if Peter specifically wanted to lift the man by his right hand, when the most natural way would be to grab his left hand, then you might have some cause to question this. Then we could ask, 'was the lame man's left hand deformed or injured in some way that warranted Peter to request only his right hand'? But I think that it's safe to understand that Peter took the man's hand that was nearest to him to enable him to be lifted.
I will pray for you today.
Dear Lord Jesus, Bring Myrus back to You by Your precious Holy Spirit. Have Your mighty power and grace work in Myrus to turn his heart completely around to You and away from the sins that entangle him. Deliver Myrus from pornography and stealing, as these are now habits. Bring to Myrus the change of mind will, and heart to honor You with his words and thoughts. He so desires this, Lord, and I believe that You are always available to those who sincerely and humbly seek your help and forgiveness. We ask these things in Your name Jesus, Amen.
Rebecca,
The fact that you want to accept Jesus and are desiring salvation is proof that the Holy Spirit is working in You to create faith that will enable you to believe. So, rejoice Rebecca, God is calling and He is the author and finisher of our faith ( Hebrews 12:2) and having begun this good work within you, God is also faithful to complete it unto salvation for your whole being. ( Philippians 1:6)
Rebecca, I do not know how you are struggling, since you said you are in a spiritual battle. But I do not that Jesus has won victory for all of us ( 1John 5:4). All that you really need to do is just tell Jesus that you need His help in having faith to believe in Him. He will answer this request. You can begin walking as a believer even if your faith is small right now.
Keep on asking Jesus to increase Your faith and help You know Him more and more each day.
You can meet with a pastor and ask to be baptized. (Matthew28:19-20) which normally follows one's believing and confession to acknowledge that you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
Reading the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) are a very good way to get to know Jesus. I encourage you to read ALL about Him in these Bible books and then move on to Acts.
Rebecca,
I will pray for you today. Dear Lord Jesus, here is Rebecca desiring You and the salvation You won for her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, cause Rebecca to be born again and create in her true faith to believe the Gospel of Jesus. Heavenly Father, Shed Your love and mercy upon Rebecca and draw her near to You. May today begin her new life with You as Your daughter. Dear God, You are amazing and will never turn away anyone who comes to You humbly seeking forgiveness for their sins and to turn away from sinful tendencies in repentance. Thank you that we cannot do anything to earn our salvation nor can we do anything to acquire it. It is already done for us by Your work of grace. Help Rebecca to really know this.
How did the scan go?
Dear Lord Jesus, Sonya is asking that You will stop the evil black magic that is happening. Surround her with your power and protection. have whatever these people do to vex Sonya does not come to be. Today, in your name, Jesus, we stand against this evil working and say, "Be gone from Sonya's life and sphere of loved ones. Stop attempting to bring evil up upon Sonya and her loved ones. You are a defeated enemy by the victorious death and resurrection of Jesus Christ."
Amen, in Your name Jesus.
How is Lavonne doing?
Dear Lord Jesus, D. needs to learn to sleep through the night. Please help D. to accomplish this soon. Help those who care for D. to learn what is the best way they can help D. to sleep all night. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Next week, tornados USA.
I have heard the phrase interpreted several different ways.
I think that it refers to someone who is humble before God and willing to serve others. Also, someone who recognizes their sorrowful sinful estate and looks to God for remedy. Another angle is that it refers to a state of mind that is not prideful, haughty, arrogant, or conceited, therefore having a measured self view. Not one of hating self, or putting one's self down, but of not having too high of view of self and willing to put other's needs before their own, as opposed to having self-interest at the forefront.
Glad you are feeling better. I've been needing to take Benadryl here in the Northwest. Tree pollens are beginning to fly.
Yes, there is really much to pray about. May the Lord raise up an army of intercessors.
I'm feeling better now.
I just have more time to pray, which is great! There's much to intercede for. God has his eye on the sparrows.
I get strength from Gideon and Joshua. Don't be afraid. Meet life head-on. God is with us by the grace and love of our Savior, Jesus.
Take care. See y'all soon. I love our Bible Comment Room.
The mind's mental processes provide the ability to make decisions based on comprehension and differentiation. The mind formulates one's discernment, opinions, viewpoints, morals, convictions, and beliefs. (cp. Eph. 2:3).
Contextually, depravity and rejection of all things Holy and GODly motivates this mind into the state of "reprobation" leaving GOD to "give them over" to their own sinful will to multiply sin upon sin. Sexual sins are commonly the lowest type of sins of which the sinner sinks into a state of "reprobate".
The adjective "reprobate" means they fail GOD's spiritual test thoroughly in every point and in every way. Thus, GOD rejects them as unfit, spurious, and unusable and "gives them up" ( Rom. 1:24, 26, & 28) to their own carnal devices which they often blend into their religious beliefs and practices (cp. Tit. 1:16). Such become a "castaway", a word which translates from the same Greek adjective, and a condition of which Paul greatly feared ( 1Cor. 9:27).
Sadly, these reprobates do not lightly come to this condition, for many put great efforts into achieving this reprobation as Paul declared in Romans Chapter One.
Of note, the same Greek adjective root translated here into "reprobate" and into "castaway" ( 1Cor. 9:27) also translates into "rejected" in Hebrews 6:8.
