Hiya Spence GBU...But Spence you are not understanding spritual things...Gods name is indeed Abraham Isaac and Jacob...Without this Abrahamic trinity there could not have been a nation of ISRAEL...Followed by the 12 tribes...Then the whole nation of ISRAEL...Don'cha see that God almighty offered up his only son Jesus exactly like Abraham offered up his only son Isaac...When God refered to himself as the I AM...Implies an Isarel of God that are I AM'S..Gods as Jesus said to whom the word came it made them Gods...Which implies there is gonna be another Creation in the Spirit...Which are Gods that are gonna be born in us sinners...There are gonna be an Israel of God which are spirits...As Jesus said that which is born of the spirit is spirit as God is spirit.

....The seed of the sower is gonna result in another Creation. That are gonna be born in Us via his seed the living word.As David tells us of a ppl coming that are yet unborn...That has to come and declear his Generation... Psalms 22 : 31...Several of the Prophets saw a ppl coming that wd come from the North Country...Heavenly impling spirits..The H.G. that comes from Christ seed...the word that New Covenant..As we have born the image of the earthy we must also bear ( birth ) the image of the heavenly..When Jesus spoke of the babes and sucklings thats our new innermen the H.G. an Israel of God.They are gonna rule all nations..They are gonna be born in the hearts of the world via the Seed of the Sower.

.....A lil one is gonna become a 1000 and a small one a strong nation.Thats the Israel of God that are gonna be born in us via the seed of Christ...Thats y God Almighty made that great Promise that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of Heaven..Thats y Jesus said Whosoever receiveth one such Child in my name receiveth ME...That new born babe Peter is telling us about is the H.G . that Child OF Promise. That desires the sincere MILK of the Word..We are just a joint heir with him the H.G. WHO IS LORD OF ALL,.. GAL 4 : 1.

    Dear James,

You have received some very good replies already. Aside from what Suze and Chris have suggested, which are both very good suggestions, I would like to suggest that as long as you two are sharing the same hone and bed, the temptation to give into sexual desires will be very strong and hard to resist. So, If you are not planning to get married right away, I suggest that you get separate residences and work on the aspects of your relationship that Chris has suggested. Many times, ending the living together arrangement tends to prove the strength and value of the relationship. It will either cause you two to grow in love and commitment to seek marriage, or your relationship will not grow and will prove to be not good to pursue. This is good to find out before marriage rather than after.

Dear Horace, these are two very good questions that I do not have any kind of answer to, nor can I think of any Scripture that explains these. I hope that those who do have answers will respond to your post. I am interested in knowing more about these questions, too.

Micah 6:8 sums up the whole duty of man just like Matthew 22 summarizes what is important in the completed witness of the law and the prophets.

    Micah 6:8

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

    Matthew 22

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Irene 123 pointed out Eccl 12:13, which is also a summation of all that God requires of men.

    Ecclesiastes 12:13

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

    Shawnna,

In Luke 9:51, it says "And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,"

Jesus steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem! The word steadfastly means a fixed established position. When it was time to go and die, He was fixed to go to Jerusalem. You couldn't get Him off track.

This is probably where Paul got his ministry. In Philippians, when he strives for the high calling in Christ Jesus, he has got one thing in mind, one direction in where he heads, and that is the mission for which Christ has sent him for.

Even if a Christian doesn't know what special ministry, or kind of ministry, or even what area God will have you work in, you only have one thing to be fixed on, and that is to grow in the grace and knowledge of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Period! Nothing else! It is an established fixed position.

In Daniel 1:8, we have the same phrases used for Daniel's decision, that he had fixed and established in his heart that he would not defile himself by eating the food of the Babylonians.

He is a Jew! He was not going to violate the Jewish food laws. And he just determined, he fixed it in his heart. He said I am just not going to do that. It is a determination.

So like you say, Jesus knew His purpose. He knew it was time for Him to go to Jerusalem. And He set His face toward Jerusalem and nothing was going to stop Him!

    Hi,

This is Athena's mother. I want to thank you all for your prayers for Alexandre. Unfortunately he died this morning. Athena is obviously distraught with grief. Perhaps I could ask for you to pray for her at this traumatic time for her.

    Best wishes

Why do we celebrate Jesus Birthday on the 25th of December when He doesn't tell us when He was born? We are not suppose to celebrate His Birthday or He would have told us the date He was bprn. Why are we putting a Christmas tree up in our house and decorating it with garland and glass Balls when God plainly tells us

what he is going to do with that tree when he comes and it won't be good. Why are we celebrating Christs birthday on a Pagen Holiday. Why did we follow the Catholic church when they chose Sunday to be the Sabbath day when the Sabbath is clearly on Saturday.

Did Jesus "Back Away" from Jerusalem before entering on a donkey? Did he not want to go into Jerusalem? I heard a preacher say this and I've never heard that before? My belief is that Jesus is GOD and knows all things. Why would he back away. He knew is purpose on earth.

Honoring and obeying all of God's precepts is very important, but seeking to serve God by the letter of the law is not an approved method of true worship and obedience.
  • Marke - In Reply - 3 years ago
Christians are not bound to serve God in the letter of the law, but saints of God throughout human history have been responsible for serving God by seeking to honor and obey all of God's precepts, no matter how many hundreds or more may be listed in the Bible.

Dear "Amy", Thanks for the reminder i did it now, and the answer was: you only think of Jesus you. :) And i thanked Jesus hallelujah, it is up to the Lord now and draw that person to Himself.

Actually, we must leave all this to the Lord. If we are faithful then He is even more so. Praise to the God Almighty, He will have all the glory Amen.

Then He presents it in us so that it becomes an answer to prayer, and we can thank Him even more. We are the witnesses and the faith comes from the preaching. Seize every chance. But we lay our burden on Jesus, who said: Matthew 11:28-30

Be blessed all beloved ppl, in Jesus Name, love u all in Christ. Never forget it, becouse you all are valuable.

The spiritual term for God's commandments is "precepts." We are not told to serve God by the letter of the law but we are always responsible for seeking to honor and obey God's precepts. The KJV translates the same Greek word as "commandments" and "precepts."

    Daniel 9:5

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

One OT definition of sin is 'transgression of the written law.' Christians are under a much stricter definition of sin - "whatever is not of faith is sin."

    Romans 14:23

And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
  • Marke - In Reply - 3 years ago
Christians are not told to serve God by the letter of the law and the ten commandments are not stepping stones to heaven or into God's presence. Christians are to serve God in Spirit which means seeking to honor and obey all God's precepts, not just a handful of laws written in stone.
  • Thelma on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
In red-lettering "the words of Jesus" - did He not speak in Old Testament days and prophetically in the Psalms??!! - i see Revelation 1:8 is ascribed to the Lord Jesus Christ. While v11 is the Lord Jesus Christ speaking, v8 is God on the Throne. From v4, God on the Throne is described throughout the book of Revelation as "he which is, which was and which is to come". Christ, however, is predominantly called "The Lamb". It would be helpful for those trying to unlock the book of Revelation for themselves to "black-letter" v8 and so distinguish between the Two Wonderful Divine Eternal Members of the Godhead who are each fulfilling Their function in man's Salvation and Judgment!! Thanks!

Dear "Denise Vaughn". you have received nice answers and scriptures here but no one has mentioned what Peter saw on the roof. He was trained in the Jews law and was only allowed to eat what was written there. So we can only imagine what an outcry, it was when he preached that now all the saved can eat everything, Gentiles as well as Jews.

Acts 10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

So my advice is eat what you want, but make sure your food does not cause others to fall. 1 Corintians 8:9

I understand this as the spirit of the times we live in when people seek and believe that the plastic market is more useful than the natural. Unfortunately, this is from the evil. Let me be a fanatic for Jesus Christ instead of believing in all the world's attraction to call what God has created unclean. Amen When He has made it clean, so are we in Jesus' Holy Blood which floated on Calvary and Holy Name Jesus, love u all in Christ.
