My testimony; God has done wonderful liitle things throughout my lifetime and I honestly had no idea. God has saved me countless times. I give glory to Jesus Christ for letting me live through all the bad things I have done and all the things great things he has brought me through. God is good and you all must believe that He does answer our prayers on His time of course. Faith is most inportant and we must believe that Jesus is the way and the truth and that He died for US to save us from sin. One testimony I will share because there is too many to list. One year ago exactly we were about to lose our home because both of us were injured months apart at our jobs, we got way behind on our property taxes. We received pink slips in the mail, stressed and crying over this. I prayed and prayed that our home would not default. I gave it to Jesus Christ that day. About 4 months past we came into some money went to make a payment. That lady says " I don't know what happened but this property was supposed to go into the next step which is (God took care of us!!!) losing our home and property. But she took our money and we still have our home today. Thank You Jesus Christ!! He is the reason why we have our home today. I am everso grateful each day we wake up with a roof over our heads.

    Hello Richard,

Curious as to who "you" is. In this forum, KJV bible, it uses the word "ass." To whom is your comment directed?

I understand your point of adding to or taking away from.

Hope that you have a blessed day today!

When you bleep out words in the Bible like, ass, you make it seem like God was swearing. People can look it up in the dictionary if they don't know what an ass is. Why make the world think God was using bad language and YOU corrected Him? You are taking words out of the Bible and woe unto you!

Strong protection and breakthrough for us and all in need (Lord you know the cries of our hearts). Also an end to the war and help for all refugees, those still in Ukraine and all impacted by the war. May the Lord redeem this situation and may many look up and receive salvation.

That's an interesting interpretation & changing of 'Mene, mene' to be, 'many, many'. Unfortunately, the word 'Mene' (given twice) is a basic standard of weight (called, mina) & can't be considered to be 'many'. So in Daniel 5:25, Daniel gives the interpretation of that word to be, "God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it"; & this means that God has used His Own Standards against the Babylonian Kingdom.

Yes, the King did die that night, but not because of poison as everything that went into his mouth was first tested by one of his servants. He died as a result of God's pronouncement against him. There's been no evidence to date that the vaccine contains poison, or else 'many, many' people would have died by now, including me.

    Leviticus 1:16

And he shall pluck away his crop with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:

First of all I wasn't sure what a "crop" was, so I googled it and found this definition on Wikipedia:

"A crop (sometimes also called a croup or a craw, ingluvies, or sublingual pouch) is a thin-walled expanded portion of the alimentary tract used for the storage of food prior to digestion. This anatomical structure is found in a wide variety of animals. It has been found in birds, and in invertebrate animals including gastropods (snails and slugs), earthworms, leeches, and insects.

Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers says:

"His crop with his feathers.-Just as in the case of quadrupeds the skin was flayed off the victim before it was put on the altar fire, so the feathers were removed from the bird before its body was placed on the altar. This is the natural sense which is to be expected from the context, since it can hardly be imagined that the victims would be burnt with the feathers, and thus cause an intolerable smell. The rendering, however, given in the margin, "with the filth thereof," is now adopted by the greater number of expositors. As the two words filth and feathers resemble each other in Hebrew, it is probable that one of them has dropped out of the text. The maw, therefore, with its contents, as well as the feathers, were removed to the eastern side of the altar, where the ashes from the altar were thrown ( Leviticus 6:3)."

Barnes' Notes on the Bible is typical of those that go with the marginal reading:

"His crop with his feathers - The weight of authority is in favor of the marginal rendering. It is most probable that the feathers were burned with the body, and that the wings, mentioned in Leviticus 1:17, were not mutilated."

Unlike larger animals, many commentators say the small size of the offering limited what the priest could do to make these parts acceptable for the alter, so they were cast away

Doesnt the gospel have to be obeyed? That is the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus Christ 1Cor 15:1-4.

2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

    2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Matthew 7:12 is just like its an eye for a eye and a tooth for a tooth. First Jesus Christ himself wants our weapons then teaches us how exactly to be righteous person then returns our weapons. To much forgiveness leads us directly into wrongful persecution and makes us easy to attack. We must have a certain amount of justice and be humble enough but not allow the enemy to much injustice because they take advantage over us and they will not physically learn nothing but they can have their ways easy and we will all suffer wrongful persecution which I will never allow myself willing into slavery or anything wrongful persecution I will suffer persecution for love and righteousness but never allow myself willing into wrongful persecution for no God ever.

My grandma had a saying , she asked me once : what do you think makes God laugh ? I answered : I don't know grandma , she said : when we tell Him our plans . I think it means that we shouldn't presume that we are going to be able to do anything unless God allows us to . God gives us everything and He will put us where He wants us to be , which might not always be where we want to be , trust Him always , He knows what is best for us . Be still and thank Him for all that you have .

    Gloria,

Revelation 4:4 says "And round about the throne were four and twenty seats, or literally thrones, 24 thrones: and upon the thrones I saw twenty four sitting, (Characteristic), clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

The white raiment is found in Revelation 3:5. And the crowns of gold is promised to believers ( Revelation 2:10).

There are 404 verses in the book of Revelation, and there are over 800 allusions and direct quotes from the Old Testament. The book of Revelation is a piece of Jewish Literature. And it must be understood by the symbols and the presentations that we receive from the Tanak (The Old Testament).

So there are 24 elders sitting on 24 thrones. In 2 Chronicles Chapters 24 and 25, this is where it is listed for us that where David began the courses of priests, and he assigned 24 courses of priests, that they would serve throughout the year so that the priesthood is covered. And all the people are covered, and they are called courses, 24 courses of priests.

Now 24 in Jewish Literature has to do with a perfection in covering, 24 courses to cover all of the people, and to cover all of the calendar for the twelve months.

And so here are 24 elders. Many believe the elders, who are of the church, clothed in white raiment (The promise to believers), and they have crowns of gold upon their heads, again evidence of the reward to believers.

And some believe that this is the representation of both the Old and the New Testament, the entire church, both Jew and Gentile, with the elders and the 24 courses, or 24 elders that are sitting.

    Hope this helps!

With respect and affection . I'm not sure how much of a Bible student u r , wether or not u have been reading it regularly ? Here r a few verse for u , hope they r helpful : Jer Ch 5 V 1-4 , all of Hosea Ch 4 , Isaiah Ch 29 V 13-15 and Matt Ch 15 V 7-9 . I think it means a few different things , firstly don't use His name as an expression of annoyance or anger etc in the same way that u would use a curse word . Don't ever presume to speak on His behalf unless u r actually directly quoting what He has actually said in scripture , don't assume to know what he would say and lastly don't profess to b a Christian if u r not and don't even want to b . These r just my feelings about it .

If it says man in the original Hebrew then that's what I want it translated as . I want to know what it actually says not what people think it should say . If we r going to take huge liberties with the translation then we r asking for trouble . This is God's Word , not a politically correct manifesto . God's Word is pure and righteous and not to b questioned by humans . Believe it or don't believe it , that's up to u , I hope I won't allow this world's agenda to stop u from reading the Bible with an open heart and mind . God has an awesome message for u . Please don't give up just because it may not seem politically correct to u .

Chris or any who want to reply:

Apologies for not responding earlier. Thank you for your response! I consider myself to be one who has been on 'milk' for way too long. I am now attending a local church and am in a woman's Bible study who is studying Hebrews.

I am also in dialogue with the pastor about salvation. He believes that man has his own will to 'walk away' from God and that God will not fight the will of man. Thankfully he is very open to questions and thus far from his sermons, is not one that preaches condemnation-works salvation.

From a very simple viewpoint, I think about ones who live in a rural area that have only one church available to them. This is likely not true now but in the past is a possibility. I say all this because won't there be many in that church community that are 'saved' but may have differing interpretations? Eph 4:13 came up in my study today, not sure I am taking it out of context, but could it support my simple viewpoint? Thank you again.

    God bless you

It seems Adam and Eve are mentioned but in Gen 3:24

Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

He drove out man, what happened to woman, should man be translated human. Thank you

    Ndubuaku Iluoma,

Omega is the last letter in Greek, the big O indicates the end, the last, ultimate limit, finish, conclusion, Omega is the finish of an event, without needing to be explained. We see Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, and the beginning and the end/ing in Revelation. In Isaiah 45:9-10 it is reversed, "the end from the beginning"

In Isaiah 46 they were hauling all that gold and silver and would make idols and pray to them and God was telling them He is the only true God, from the beginning until the things that are not done is done, Revelation 10:7. His counsel, His will, and His pleasure will stand. In the beginning, the bounds of habitation have been determined for all the nations on earth, Acts 17:26.

Jesus, Alpha and Omega, the beginning of the creation, Revelation 3:14 and Jesus will be the end when Jesus delivers up the kingdom to God and the last enemy, death is destroyed, 1 Corinthians 15:24-28.

    God bless,

I am sorry for the way I posted the question in my post. It should not have been posed as an accusatory "If you" question, as though my intent was to accuse you or the asker of the original question specifically. I should have at least said it as an "If I" or "if anyone" question instead. I agree with James that not many of us should be teachers and that I stumble in many ways in what I say. That is why I separated my opinion of the text given in my previous post from the original post I wrote that tries to lay out what the Bible actually says and how it is generally understood with what I hope was minimal commentary of my own.

In any event, I should have tried to make it even clearer that it is the author of the Book of Hebrews I would really be questioning for laying out such an extensive doctrine that largely appears to rest on Melchisedek having all of the characteristics he described, if in fact he knew or believed Melchisedek in reality was a man that was no different from the levitical priests who had none of Christ's preincarnate characteristics. If that was what he actually did, many if not most of his conclusions can be rejected as being based on a faulty premise or even worse an intentionally deceptive premise.

Ultimately I conclude the doctrine laid out by the author of Hebrews is actually based on his firm belief that Melchisedek is a preincarnate appearance of Christ, and the characteristics he attributes to Melchisedek as a result are actually true. The conclusions he reaches based on those characteristics are founded on a true premise in that event. Taking that as my view, I can have full confidence in his doctrine.
