I don't remember my Sunday keeping church ever teaching on the Sabbath. So when I read it in the Bible I always had questions in my spirit about it. I too am seeking answers.

Sounds like God used you to plant seed in the hearts of your classmates and your teacher. They will remember your words especially in eternity, if they do not repent and believe. If you suffer ridicule or worse then rejoice!

    Matthew 5:11-13

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you for His name sake.

But you definitely planted a seed in the hearts of everyone listening. Even though you can't see it in the moment, some will end up believing later because of you. Stand for Jesus and He will stand for you! God bless and keep you Rebecca!

I understand how one's eyes can be strained after a long day. I hope your next surgery goes well. The Olympic Peninsula is very beautiful with so many valleys and mountains to explore and just vie for its beauty. We are not far from this area (southeast of it).

We hope to re-locate to the Sequim area within the next few years, the Lord willing. We are looking for property to purchase so we can build a new scaled down home.

I could not finish. "NEVER MIND THE KJV?" If you feel and believe what you are, than you are in the wrong place! All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. There is none righteous, no not one! Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The word of God is this word you see! This is the word that said let there be light! This is the word that said this is my beloved Son, hear ye Him!

Without faith it is impossible to please Him. We are saved according to his righteousness found in those who believe his words . NOT OUR WORDS!

    Hello Rebecca

I think you did the right thing by speaking up to your teacher. Whether or not this teacher is open to receiving God's truth is up to the teacher, (and the other scoffers). You can now know more about this teacher and your classmates. Those who stood with you are good people to hang with.

I guess it depends on what your teacher is supposed to be teaching . If they are supposed to be teaching religious instruction then I don't think they are doing a good job . If they are not teaching religious instruction then why are they talking about religious matters in class ? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion . Teachers should not use their position of authority to try to influence people on subjects that they are not teaching . You don't say how old you are , I think you have to be over 21 to post on this site . In life you will meet lots of people who believe all kinds of things and you may disagree with them , you won't be able to change everyone's mind about everything . You can always try but don't get too down hearted if you fail . Some people just don't want to know and you have to respect that . Whatever you do you need to do it out of love and with lots of patience and you will also have to learn to know when to stop . As long as you know the Truth and stick with God and with Jesus and try to influence others by giving them and being , a good example of a Christian to them , this is the best thing for you . Remember ! It's 21 on here .

John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Luke 8:5-8 Jesus said this very plain to see. You see the seed is Jesus, some fell on a rock these didn't want to be a new creature, others by the way side wouldn't follow Jesus, others fell among thorns - you can't have both Jesus and the world, And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. If you want to follow Jesus you can. Joining a church don't save, John 3:7 Ye must be born again --- (Just believing alone don't save)

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen. James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

If you have a teacher who is saying and telling my classmates that heaven and hell are not real. what should I do when I tried to inform her about the correct thing she scoffed and did not even let me finish fortunately 2 classmates of mine helped me out but the others laughed and I know that only the Holy Spirited can sway their feelings as well as their thoughts but something inside of me want to inform them of the correct information.

    What should I do?

I am not Judas' judge for eternity, God is and I will consider Him justified in whatever He ultimately decides concerning Judas. But I shouldn't avoid saying his life choices are used in the New Testament as one of it's strongest and most fearful warnings against the deceitfulness of the human heart and that no one should imitate his example, particularly if the devil and this world are trying to tempt us to betray our brothers and Christ as they tempted him. Esau repented of a kind, but the blessing he obtained by it is not the blessing of Abraham's covenant and the testimony of scripture that he comforted himself with a murderous heart against his brother upon his father's death after he made his outward appearance of repentance and the Apostles assessment of him is strong evidence I should take warning against following his example of repentance.

Final judgement is God's affair and my opinions not only won't persuade or dissuade God from doing whatever He sees fit to do, they are unwelcome and I should not seek to know how it will finally play out as though my opinion or knowledge of that will do me any good there. I view it the same way I view trying to know the day or hour of Christ's return. It is not only unnessary for me to know that since that knowledge is the Father's alone, trying to obtain that knowledge is more likely to be dangerous for me and subject to misuse by my deceitful heart than helpful in preparing me for Christ's return.

But pointing out the warnings scripture give us in what God reveals in advance of final judgement and Christ's return is clearly meant for me and all who seek God. Real repentance requires us to acknowledge God is right in what he says about our deceitful hearts and deeds so they are brought into His light. Once our lives truly seek out His light rather than darkness, faith and love will grow in us and ultimately will all be shown to be a work of God's grace.

    Richard,

The end-times are strictly 5-6-7 seals and trumpets that unfold within a generation. We're staring down the sixth seal/sixth trumpet, our demise, not past seals that don't apply. The context is off.

There are resurrections, but no man made "rapture", Ezekiel 21:1-4 "both the righteous and the wicked die". Luke 17:34-37 "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together"; they are dead.

Revelation 6:9-11 The fifth seal saints were told when their brethren, the 144,000 Revelation 11:7 who died like they did; that judgment of those on the earth will be done at the seventh trumpet when time is up. They OT saints were told to rest "a little season", which lasts from the fifth seal through the seventh trumpet. At the end of the thousand years, the devil is loosed "a little season" as well, Revelation 20:3 God and satan have balance because the devil is a counterfeiter.

Daniel 9:27 is about the last week of the 70 week prophesy.

Jesus received 3.5 years of power the first half of the week and was cut off in the MIDST of the week. Then, at the sixth trumpet, day of the Lord, comes a beast surprise attack on Israel (both houses), at which time anti-christ places the abomination that makes desolate (nuclear for one, invasion for the other), beginning his 3.5 year reign of terror. At the seventh trumpet, Jesus Messiah is standing on Mount Zion with His army of resurrected saints.

Turkey, by description, is one of 3 nations in the beasts confederacy that gets plucked up by anti-christ. He takes the nations surrounding Israel, and ironically, mirroring the 'greater Israel project'.

    The fifth trumpet started tribulation

The sixth trumpet starts the great tribulation.

The seventh trumpet Jesus, returns to destroy the sixth trumpet army.

  • Richard H Priday on Leviticus 19 - 3 years ago
This chapter has the verse; amazingly of "loving your neighbor as yourself" (v. 18) from Christ's summarization of the law. This rule applies to the stranger as well (v. (v. 33-34). It also states in the previous verse that we are to "rebuke" our neighbor out of love. It reminds us of the N.T. verse "He scourges every one He loves." There are many exhortations here for behaviors appealing to justice such as not despising the deaf (v. 14); keeping food in the fields for the poor and stranger to glean (v. 8-10); and just measures and weights (v. 36). These are all virtues that improve a society whose individuals are under such a mandate.

The exhortation to fear our mother and father (v. 3) surely raises a valid point as to why the lack thereof results in a society like we have in the U.S. today. As to the second part of the verse and keeping the Sabbath; as the "Son of Man is the Lord of the Sabbath" today ( Matthew 12:8) the family which honors the Lord and teaches their children correctly will set a standard they will not soon forget. Truly, the quote of Billy Graham that "the family that prays together stays together" is an extrabiblical statement that has validity and is worth consideration.

There are other warnings here once again about not worshipping idols; and images (v. 4) and being involved with wizards (v. 31). Various other rituals associated with this are mentioned such as cutting corners of hair (v. 27). Rules about relations with bondmaids and prostituting ones daughter are here as well.

There are other rules about when to eat from fruit trees as well. It is clear that all things are related from that illustration; and seemingly unrelated things such as the bounty of a harvest are tied in with obedience to God with the circumcision analogy of trees 3 years or younger (v. 27). These statutes relate to breeding cattle and clothing not having mixed constituents relate to ceremonial laws of purity to stand in His Presence and live.

Some years ago , after the break up of the old Soviet republic , NATO made a deal with Ukraine . If Ukraine gave up it's nukes they could join NATO and NATO would protect Ukraine . NATO has to honour that so will have to get involved wether or not it's a good idea . Ukraine is a member of NATO . Troops will be needed at some point . We mustn't get too scared , remember in Egypt ? All those plagues didn't touch one Israelite . Even if we do loose our life in this world the next thing we know we will be with our Saviour , Jesus Christ . I shall be praying for God's mercy to be on all flesh and for the peace of Jerusalem . It's all going to be awesome !

Dear Joleen, have you been saved?

"As it is written, 'There is none righteous, no, not one.'" ( Romans 3:10)

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ( Romans 3:23)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ( Romans 6:23)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ( Romans 5:8)

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13

If you have been saved...we do not walk by sight--emotions--but by faith. In other words, whether you feel God's presence or not, walk on in Him, pray, read your Bible, be a witness to others, deny yourself and lean not unto your own understanding or feelings.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

    God bless you!
