    GiGi,

Like Santa would say: "ho ho ho no, everything is fine". Thank you.

The last time I lost my sense of humor was when my beloved dog died 12 years ago.

His name was "Ike The Woo".

Please re-rout those precious prayers to all that suffer in quiet desperation.

    Dear LaTanya and Donna,

I am agreeing in prayer with you two for this healing today. LaTanya, you have a lovely spirt about you. I am glad to know you from this site. It is my hope that your heart situation will improve and God will grant you what you are asking. He is good. We can trust Him no matter what happens. Our faith and love for Him is not dependent on such answers to prayers, but on the knowledge that He loves us so, and we will be with Him always. I pray that God will give you a cheerful spirit and calm in the midst of this storm.

Donna, you are so lovely in your prayerfulness. Thank you.

    Keep us posted

    Free,

I live in the US, but all the signs, the tidings ( Ezekiel 21:7) tell me to get out so I don't partake in her bombings ( Revelation 18:4). Why would God instruct that if He didn't mean it? God told Noah to build an ark to escape the flood, God saw that Lott was taken out of Sodom and Gomorrah before it's destruction; there is a pattern here.

You know the US is never going to stop pushing the king of the north ( Daniel 11:40) until ( Obadiah 1) settles in.

I have been looking at English speaking areas of the Caribbean Islands, but so far it all seems iffy? I also risk danger when the world is wobbling ( Isaiah 24:20) and I'm rounded up and put in a cage for being Christian.

The term "sons of God" are said to always refer to angels; while Sons of God are godly humans. In any event; Christ stated that at the Resurrection; man would no longer marry and be as the angels in heaven. This does not discount those who "left their first estate" mentioned (I think) either in Jude and or Peter. When they left heaven they basically had an agenda to stop the Messiah from being born by contaminating all the offspring. Nephilim was only one offspring for the angels when they had relations with these women. Others are mentioned in Deuteronomy (Goliath and his brothers apparently the last of that breed AFTER the flood).

Noah was said to be "perfect in all his ways"; clearly still a fallen human being (proven by his drunken state after coming out of the ark). He and his family were the only ones whose DNA was not contaminated. Christ also couldn't save these hybrid beings; hence they had no hope of heaven. There are some who suggest that certain offspring mentioned in Isaiah have no resurrection; the angels that started this sin are chained up currently in Tartarus. There was also the desire of worship; that these "men of renown" certainly inspired among unregenerate in ancient days. These men would build giant structures throughout the world that can't be explained and inspire the drawings of UFO's seen in ancient heiroglyphics.

    Oh Estelle,

I am so sorry you are being mistreated by your granddaughter and family. If you think you are being abused, the area agency for the aging should be contacted so you can get help. If you cannot ask anyone in your family or neighbors, you can call 911 when you get your phone back. If you are being locked in your room and are disabled, you are being help captive against your will. This is a crime.

If you cannot contact anyone by phone, you can contact by computer, if you are using one. Contact the police. If none of this is something you can do, I suggest that you contact the admin on this site and give them your information so they can contact the authorities for you. If admin is not able to help you, you could choose to give your location her on this forum so one of us can report for you. I don't recommend putting personal information out on the internet, but if you are in fear of harm or are being abused, that may be your last resort.

    '

Again, I am sorry for your situation. I will pray for you.

    Hello roman,

It is good to meet you here.

I will pray for you, since you mentioned that your sleep suffers and your thought patterns are dark. I am not sure if you are referring to your dreams or lack of them, or your waking time is filled with dark thoughts. So, I will pray for you now and when i know more from you as well. Good Bless You tonight, Roman.

    Hi Richard,

I agree that U.S.A. has so much repentance to do. We have degraded this lovely nation by abandoning Christ and His principles. Another thought, perhaps the "Lady" is actually the Queen of England. But who knows. Queen Elizabeth has only a few more years left to live, but the monarchy will continue. so, England is considered the mother land and it is surrounded by many waters.

    Dear Lisa,

Please know that Jesus will always receive one who returns to Him in faith and repentance. he will not cast anyone away no matter how many times we backslide and return to Him.

I will pray for you today.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for sister Lisa and the move of Your Holy Spirit within her to change her ways and return to You from a backslidden condition that has not honored You or helped her one bit. We ask that You will restore to Lisa assurance of salvation, strengthen her when she is tempted to return to her sin, fill her with the joy of knowing You receive her when she calls on You, build her up in faith and knowledge of You and Your Word. We ask these things from You Lord Jesus, in Your name. Amen.

How is your Grandma doing today? I am praying for her. May the Lord bring swift healing to her kidneys, brain, and circulation. We ask You Lord, Jesus, to keep Johnnie's grandma from getting any more blood clots or hemmorhaging in her brain. Bring her creatinine levels to normal and repair any damage to her kidneys by the use of dialysis.

    Good afternoon, Richard.

    Good post!

One thing for me, I think that time/space laws began as soon as God created the universe, in the beginning. I think this because of anything was moving, changing, (think rotation, gases coming together in galaxies, universe expanding, water moving over the earth, any chemical/molecular/atomic reactions) then all these things are done within time/space because there is a passage of time between one molecule merging into two, or atomic activity of electrons, neutrons, and protons. Sometimes we do not think about these things (moving, changing, reacting) this way, but it actually does indicate time had begun with the beginning at the coming to be of the first thing God created.

If u read all my posts u will c that I admitted I got it wrong about Jesus ever breaking any of Moses laws . I'm so sorry I'm just about to go to bed , I work weird shifts , read John Ch 6 V 53-66 . There r plenty of other instances , when the disciples picked corn on the Sabbath , Jesus healed people on the Sabbath . I'm very sorry to say these words to u but if u had a good knowledge of the Bible I wouldn't have to point these instances out to u . Also , my Church is very old-fashioned by today's standard . If it isn't in the Bible we don't believe it . I hope I haven't offended u and I'm sorry if I have .

    Stephen,

    I'd like to continue.

In the ancient Mesopotamia, this pagan cult was taken to other peoples (perhaps from the tower of Babel). So the worship of a father-sun-god, his son, and mother-goddess queen of heaven was found throughout the Mediterranean and Asian peoples from ancient times into Roman times. Inana and Semiramis somewhat merged into one goddess as the Queen of Heaven. There were many names for this goddess in many cultures. Astarte, Isthar, Isis, Eostre, Diana, Cybele, Ceres, etc. all names for the same goddess worshipped as the Queen of Heaven who was the mother of the son of the Father, who died and was resurrected/re-born every year. This is where the Madonna and child cult is derived from.

In the pagan Roman Empire, the Queen of Heaven and child were worshipped as one of the many main cults. Beginning in the time of Constantine, with this emperor making Christianity the main religion of the Roman Empire (300-400 A.D.) the church began to blend Christianity with many pagan holidays and beliefs. This is the church culture that brought in Christ's birthday being celebrated on December 25th (Tammuz' birthday). May 25th being celebrated as the date of Christ's conception (think 9 months later being December 25th) and beliefs/practices concerning Mary to be similar to the beliefs/practices of the cult of the Queen of Heaven. This merging of paganism with Christianity is called syncretism. It was intended to attract pagans into the Christian church as they did not have to give up completely their pagan practices, just transfer them into "Christian" viewpoints and practices. This was also the sin God called the Israelites out on when they baked cakes for the "queen of heaven" and wept for Tammuz facing towards the east. The Israelites adopted the practices of Baal/Moloch (who was a derivation of Nimrod) and Asherah, a derivation of Inana.

So, I think we should be careful about adopting any practice/belief/tradition that is not part of the Word.

John 21:25, if Jesus CHRIST's acts could not be contained & HIS ministry was about 3 yrs. Then how could we expect on earth all the information about the days before the flood? Yet GOD in HIS infinite wisdom gives us more than enough.

I believe these are the scriptures, you're looking for: John 1:12,

    Genesis 4:26, Genesis 5:22-24, Genesis 6:1-7,

    Revelation 22:18,19, Deuteronomy 4:2,

    Ronald,

You talk my language, we share the same interpretations. I told you a while ago that Christ had the first 1/2 of the week, and anti-christ had the second 1/2 of the week. The seven years prophesy is spread out over 2,000 years. That made sense to you, so instead of sticking to your own idea, you adopted it.

5th trumpet: ( Revelation 9:1-11) was 9-11-01. It was the US army that came out of the smoke like locusts to kill those without the seal of God in their foreheads (Muslim's). The US army didn't hurt any tree or green thing because the dessert has none (vs 4). The war on terror is over, troops are withdrawing ( Isaiah 33:1). We are awaiting the 6th seal, watching Revelation 17 simultaneously play out.

6th seal: ( Revelation 6:14) I see US/Israel attacking Iran's nuclear facility, a nuclear reaction, moving mountains. Scroll = mushroom cloud. Iran is the only recognized nuclear power in the ME, Israel's arch enemy, they have been talking about bombing Iran for 40 years, and they are always 6 months away, so the claim has merit.

Then, after a waiting period, there is a calm, a day with blue skies, and then the beast Russia strikes ( Jeremiah 15:7-9), changing the world forever. This is the day of the Lord ( Ezekiel 21). In the self-same hour that Babylon is taken. the earthquake opens up Israel to the beast invasion ( Revelation 6:12). This scripture is telling ( Luke 21:20-24) when Israel is attacked, where is the US to defend them? The US received ( Matthew 24:15). The beast, and his false prophet, China, will rule the world, fight bitterly, and eventually succumb to Christ Jesus at the last trumpet.

If we are in the end-times, shouldn't these prophesies manifest themselves before our eyes? Shouldn't they make themselves known? Yes, to those with understanding.

Stephen, there is no place in Scripture that says that Mary was resurrected assumed into heaven after death without decomposing in the grave.

As Ronald stated, the assumption of Mary is a Roman Catholic teaching that began to be celebrated int he 6th century. It was made an official teaching (dogma) of the Roman Catholic Teaching in 1950.

The Bible speaks only of Enoch and Elijah being taken up to heaven without dying. In Jesus' transfiguration, both Elijah and Moses appear with Jesus, so some believe that Moses died, but was resurrected and assumed into heaven, because He appeared with Jesus bodily like Elijah.

So, we really do not know what happened to Mary after she died. The account of the Assumption of Mary was seen in a vision by a Catholic nun. It is a non-scriptural belief based on this "vision". Revelation does tell us that such "revelations" ceased at the closed of John's life. So "new" revelation, be it in a vision about Mary to a nun, the angel "Gabriel" to Mohammed, or Moroni to Joseph Smith, or appearances of "Mary" at Guadelupe, Fatima, or Lourdes, should be viewed as false and being revealed by a fallen angel rather than someone sent from God.

Ronald is correct in attaching the Catholic beliefs about Mary to the ancient pagan beliefs about the "Queen of Heaven" in Babylon, Nimrod built his temple to the god of fresh water Enki in Eridu. He built temples for the goddess of sexual pleasure and war Inana, also. It seems that there was already a pagan pantheon of gods and goddesses by Nimrod's time. Historians seem to think that Nimrod's wife was Semiramis (and was also his mother). Nimrod died but Semiramis must have already been pregnant when this happened, and gave birth to her and Nimrod's son, Tammuz, on December 25th. Semiramis began the work of deifying Nimrod, the sun-god and father of all, Tammuz, as the son-god, who died every year in June (24th) and was re-born every December 25th and herself as the "Queen of Heaven".

I'll take a stab at that. In short; the Holy Spirit is the SOURCE of the Seven fold Spirit encompassed in the Body of Christ; represented by the seven churches in Revelation. The seven "angels" of the seven churches can be understood as messengers in the original language; so that the meaning can essentially be one or both. The number for completeness as many suggest seems to be 7 in scripture. So the churches in Asia probably represent the emphasis that each church has in particular giftings; so that all together they are a typology of all churches worldwide in that time; as well as throughout history. We also will tend to see the same weaknesses; then as now. My best understanding is that with an individual with a particular gift there tend to be characteristic weaknesses as well. Christ Himself embodied ALL the gifts; hence He could be balanced and also have the Spirit "without limit". ( John 3:34). As for the church itself; temptations of Pagan society; persecutions or lack thereof and other factors help determine particular issues of struggle. We need to realize that the most dangerous situation in Laodicea was where people felt most content; was in fact in the greatest danger. The opposite was in Ephesus; where everything but their "First love" was being done correctly. In short; it would appear that each church was granted a particular emphasis on a certain manifestation of the Spirit; as was predestined for their particular situation. Some would go through persecution and death; while others such as Philadelphia would ultimately escape it in the Rapture. There was at the time still a remnant; or individuals God exhorted to remain faithful even in Laodicea who would wear "white" garments. There are some valid points to each of the churches being a time period from Pentecost until today; when the Laodicean type church seems to abound. My theory is that each church has a primary type of gifting necessitated by the conditions present.

My sister and I were just talking about this same thing, not more than a week ago. It's amazing how God brings the scattered, (his people) together.
  • Richard H Priday on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
The creation story is to be taken as true; as opposed to evolution which forces us to not only alter the first chapters of the Bible; but other references of creation in Psalms; Job; and numerous other Old and New Testament texts. There is the "gap" theory; due to a parallel verse in Zechariah describing the situation in verse 2 with the earth being "without form and void" which some take as the time frame between the creation of angels and spirit beings allowing the time for Lucifer's fall; and possible rule over the spiritual world that could explain the apparent much older appearance of the age of the universe. No time to explore that here.

Verse 3 introduces the creation of "light" from darkness and the rotation of the earth separates it with nights and days. It should be noted; however that this appears BEFORE all references to the sun; moon AND all stars. It could be the light of God Himself; or OTHER sources of light explaining the establishment of principles (speed of 186,000 miles a second and other space/time rules) were established by the Lord at that time. We see in verses 6 through 13 the seas being created followed by the grass of the earth. Grass has always been a mystery as to it's origins; and it appears that the heat and light source may have come from earth itself at that time for that and the trees and herbs as well. That would make sense if hell was created at that time for the Devil and his angels. Just a thought.

The third day finally brings the greater light (sun) and lesser light (moon) AND all the stars being created. (v. 13-18). The fourth day through the fifth there was creation of the sea creatures followed by animals; then man. There doesn't seem to be a clear indication whether man was created on or before the sixth day (on the 5th). Man's creation was said to be VERY good; putting it above all else apparently.

Thank you, Adam. Yes, we cannot fall into the trap of calling good evil, and evil good. We are to love what is good and do it. Paul says that we are to not grow weary in doing good ( 2 Thessalonians 3:13, Galatians 6:9). Paul talks often about the law or doctrine of godliness (which is doing what is morally right) and instructs believers to avoid sinful actions (which he lists in multiple places). So, doing what is godly and avoiding what is sinful is obeying God and His laws. Like David, we should love God's law and delight in it. We should be thankful that God has shown us in His law what is good and what is evil.

I think that many here who speak against doing the "works" of the law do give the impression that we can sin away as long as we believe in Jesus. I don't think that this is really what they want to convey, but in being so intent on promoting being "under grace" these people present a message that is incomplete and does not really present Paul's position in Romans and Galatians sufficiently as Paul repeatedly speaks in these Epistle letters that we are to avoid the deeds of the sinful nature and instead do the deeds of our spiritual nature led by the Holy Spirit.

We who post here really need to be careful and thoughtful in the ideas we put forth so that we do not lead any believer into sin. This comes from speaking a balanced and thorough explanation of law and gospel, as Paul did at length and so deeply in his Epistle letters.
