Isn't Jesus our only hope?
King James Version (KJV)
"This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;"
Much appreciated.
Deline is having some struggling with the side effects of the chemo treatment although she is very brave, smiling in knowing Jesus heals and taking care if her.
Thanks for prayers.

Your response is helpful and makes me think more on this topic. I will research more on this. I am not one to think that I don't need the input of other believers in understanding spiritual matters from Scriptures or from life situations.
We are a "body" and so, corporate. The Holy Spirit is given us individually for personal edification and to the "body" corporately to build up the church. That is why we are taught to build one another up in the most holy faith. We need one another.
In my view, anyone who thinks that they do not need the input of other believers because the "Holy Spirit is their teacher" are missing the meaning and purpose of the body of Christ.
God bless you today.
I agree that these are expressions of the Holy Spirit to and in us. I have noticed in many instances that people are seeking the gift more than the Giver and thus focus more on the experiencing manifestation.
This can lead to one believer almost abusing another believer in supposedly operating under a "gift" such as tongues, word of wisdom, word of knowledge with the one supposedly exercising a gift wounding another believer because it is done out of pride or an air of superiority over another. I have witnessed people who haughtily speak a supposed word of knowledge to someone else as a way of criticizing another or putting another down; other times the person speaking something personal about another's life with a supposed word of knowledge that is untrue, and then the speaker is not open to hear that they spoke wrongly and not by the Spirit, being just a matter of one person assuming something about another.
So, I am fairly wary of people who go around "speaking word of knowledge" to like some sort of "drive by". To speak for the Holy Spirit is a serious and somber thing to do, and believers should be prayerful, cautious, and loving about doing such.
But I do think that believers can exercise the word of knowledge or word of wisdom properly. In the case of Nathan confronting David about his sin with Bathsheba, Nathan may have known in the human sense about this sin or he may not have known but the Spirit revealed it to him. If the latter is the case, then that would be a word of knowledge delivered (by Nathan) correctly to the person (David) it was intended to be spoken to.
I so appreciate your take on this subject. It is helpful.
It is important for all of us believers to remember that we represent our Lord in our interactions with others, so we should be humble, thoughtful, and looking to the interests of others when we speak. I will research this subject a bit more.
1 Corinthians 13:12
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
Some day we will know everything but now we only know part of the full account. If you knew, how will it change anything as to being saved or add anything to salvation? Faith is believing God
In this Scripture it separates out these two along with other manifestations of the Spirit, so it seems that it is important to understand what each is and means.
I always appreciate what others responses say to me, as I think that it is always good for believers to share understanding of the Word with one another.
Proverbs 11:14 (NIV)
Where there is no counsel, the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
Well stated!! God bless.
I believe you are speaking of Hosea, the LORD told him to take a wife of whoredoms, her name was Gomer. It
RLW is debated on where she was unfaithful to him, the book is small only 14 short chapters you may read it for your own understanding.

I am blessed by the input of others.
I appreciate all of the reply to my question.
I love revelations it makes me want to do better, serve better and not fully knowing everything is why, the fear of the Lord leedeth to salvation.
God's will, God's time line, God's path Amen
"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
