This is interesting and edifying if studied, Matthew 17:1-13 Mark 9:1-13 and Luke 9:28-37. Your question did they see it or were they asleep? They went up to a high mountain and they were gone for a least a day maybe more and in Luke 9:32 they were asleep, but they awakened, and it says they saw. In Mark 9:4 it says they appeared unto them and nothing about sleep.

In all three Jesus transfigured before them and they were awake, and in all three Jesus tells them not to tell anyone about this until He was raised from the dead. This they did not understand because that part was hidden from them, Mark 9:10 Luke 18:31-34, His death and other things were hidden from them until He appeared to them after His resurrection, Luke 24:44-45.

You asked were they asleep or did they see, the answer is in Matthew 17:9, it was a vision, horama, spiritual seeing, a supernatural apparition, same as John, when he was given the Revelation of Jesus Christ. There is a lot in these verses, like Mark 9:1 before Jesus took Peter, James and John to the mountain.

I appreciate that you shared with us some of your story. Now I know better how to pray for you and your family.

God is amazing. He is with us in all circumstance in our life giving us what is necessary for our growth and trust in Him.

He is so very gracious and compassionate to us. He grieves with us and rejoices with us.

He heals our brokenness and give us hope and joy even amidst our sorrows. He brings good into our lives every day and covers us with grace and love unmeasurable.

I am sorry you lost your dear wife. May you and Kristie be happy and blessed. May your daughters live close to Jesus everyday and may Addie grow up in Jesus Christ and be protected from the ways of the world and evil influences..

Thank you Donna for your prayer. I believe the mainstream news like what is on TV is mostly lies. I believe the spirit of the Antichrist is here in this earth trying to manipulate and separate and divide. I watch project veritas. I usually watch God's prophet Robin D Bullock on youtube. I know any news could anger people but all we can do is pray and try to manage our actions. I live in a street where there are drugdealers and I see how criminals act if there are no cops around and I believe the Democrat party wants chaos and regular US citizens need police to patrol when we ask and they have not I'm not sure if they are understaffed or if they have no motivation I also heard that it is very easy to become a cop these days that they don't even background check anymore. I believe there are many perks moneywise in belonging with the bad group but if people see the truth and have Jesus inside if them and take their oaths seriously and not listen and act on mainstream media like for police, doctors, fbi, pharmacists, fda, all news corps with truth things would get better. Satan is trying to brainwash and manipulate people through technology.

With reference commentary in Mark 2, specifically the comment which says " sin is the cause of all our sickness and pains" I understand Job was an upright man yet still he suffered. I dont think all suffering is because of sin but I am kindly asking for someone to shed some light on this? Thanks

Knowledge memorizes the Ten Commandments, Wisdom obeys them.

The 6th day creation,.. there were many people here , long before Adam & Eve ,..

Tongues simply means languages ,.. an only God can make that happen,.. it means the people listening, will understand it by there own language, the person that God will speak threw , will say every word clearly, understandably , as to the language that each person hearing has grown up to ,.. only God has this ability.

Could be as simple as a smile, or charisma,. or the ability to make other feel better,.. it's not anything that's hard , or even unexpected, it happens organically, by just being yourself.

It is impossible for flesh to be perfect to our Father,.. do not be hard on yourself, we all sin we all make mistakes, pray, repent, an ask HIM for knowledge.

Hello Gigi , this is how I interpret those two words . If we put them in a modern day context it seems to me that knowledge is akin to academic learning , Solomon had this in that he knew all about nature etc . Wisdom to me indicates discernment , the ability to know when and what to do in any given situation , Solomon showed this when he threatened to divide the child , he understood that the real mother would have deep love for her child and would rather see it alive in some one else's care than for it to be killed . That's just my take on those two words .
