Be blessed all ppl to listening what the Spirit says about baptism. It is not time to stand by principles. But in the Spirit and Truth seek the Lord and remain impartial.
Be blessed in His Holy Name Jesus Christ with word from Matthew 25.
We would naturally read the word 'gift(s)', as the one & the same, whether the gift of the Spirit or the gifts He bestows, yet the meaning of a 'Divine bestowing of Grace' that comes from the initial gift of the Spirit seems closer to the original. Some could argue that one would be pedantic since the difference between the two is negligible, but that's where the Scripture becomes more real & meaningful when we learn & retain such knowledge. Thanks again.
When i come over the word of knowledge, i look at it and think beyond :). It's a word who is the opposite of wisdom. Its like more deaper understanding of things in the Spirit and what God want us too understand. Mayby like a preaching. But not like in parable.
Wisdom is something your mind have learned. Its stand a lot of wisdom in Proverbs. Example Proverbs 1:23Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Amen
So this is that we learn from not experiencing, but too listening and do what u have heard. If we do so we are clever ppl in one way becouse of all the promises we got in Proverbs example.
Have a good night, here it is late morning. And its soo god too know that its always someone in the Spirit of God who is woken, when some are in sleep. Because of that, we know that the Word of God is being fulfilled. The Spirit never ever sleep.
Stay blessed and strong in His Holy Name Jesus Christ with words from Matthew chapter 25.
Restore them to perfect love, peace, harmony, and joy. Let them experience a time of refreshing in you and every good thing that this life has to offer.
Bind them together in love, unified.
I pray for salvation for any member that is without, if there be any.
In Jesus name please keep them from harm. Thank you Lord.
Knowledge ( truth ) gives wisdom strength.
It all amounts to understanding and obedience because there is nothing else that will please God and be blessed by him .
Read the parable of the sower .
Only the good understood . The others did not .
If you really understand something to be truth , you will live it . Produce fruit that is good , God is the husbandmen ( gardener)
Just a few thoughts I learned from the scriptures.
I thank you that he is faithful to come daily on behalf of his coworkers and he never has a bad word to say about them.
Lord bless David abundantly. Strengthen him and give him JOY and laughter. Rejoicing and bringing in the sheaves! Lift his heavy burdens and heal all his infirmities.
I thank and praise you father.
Soften the hearts of his coworkers towards you and help their families. Be merciful to them on behalf of David's prayers for them.
Pour out blessings on Kristie, Jessica & Deanna & their young families. Protect them, order their steps. And keep a hedge of protection around them. IJNIP AMEN
Thank you Lord for always hearing and answering us.
This word knowledge is the same word that Peter used in 2 Peter 3:18 where he says to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are to grow in the grace and knowledge of Him. But what makes it interesting is that the bible, especially 1 Corinthians Chapter 2:9-12 tells us that only the Spirit of God knows the things of God, and only the Spirit of God can reveal the knowledge of God to somebody.
It is not a human ability. God's Spirit has to reveal the knowledge of God. And the person who teaches the knowledge of God must do so under the influence and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I hope I'm making sense here!
First of all, the word "word" indicates to us that this is a speaking manifestation or a speaking expression. And the word wisdom is the expression of God's truth applied to life. In 2 Corinthians Chapter 1, Paul says that the reason why believers go through certain trials is so that they can experience Christ, and that according to James gives them wisdom, so that when others go through the same problems you do, you can share with them how Christ ministered to you and encourage them to trust Him as well. That's wisdom. Wisdom is truth applied to life. It is truth that is real in the believer's life.
You see, we can understand truth with our mind, we can believe truth with our mind, but actually have the reality of that truth with us all day long during the day, and it seems to escape us.
And that's what wisdom is. Wisdom is the application, it's the living the reality of the life of Christ, having the awareness that He's there, seeing life the way God sees life and looking at life through the eyes of God. That's wisdom, the experience of Christ taken into life.
Secondly, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
The emphasis is that it's by the same Spirit. The same Spirit that gave a person the word of wisdom, gives somebody else a word of knowledge. Today there are different presentations about what the word of knowledge is. And it is wrongly presented as somebody who has special knowledge about the people that are in the room.
There are places of fellowship where someone would stand up front, and people would get in line to come up, and that person would put his hand on them and tell them knowledge about them. That is divination. That is fortune telling. It has nothing to do with the Spirit of God.
I need a little more space. I will send a part 2!
Receive the glory Lord! Amen
This is an interesting verse how it differentiates between wisdom and knowledge.
Verse 4 says: Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
So, the same Spirit is allocating different levels of gifts, possibly according to our level of maturity in the faith or responsibility. Romans 12:6-8, Luke 12:48.
So, it says to one wisdom and to another knowledge. I'm assuming the prefix "word of" is another way of just staying specific portion of wisdom or knowledge passed on to someone from the Holy Spirit, but would like to hear anyone else's interpretation of this.
If I were to just compare wisdom with knowledge, I think of wisdom as the application of knowledge or experience using a sense of discernment, and knowledge as the storage of information, facts. I personally prefer wisdom over knowledge because of the practical value. I have a harder time with pure memorization like trivia, but to some that could be a strength for ministering to others, perhaps like through street ministry where remembering a lot of scripture and answers to common questions would be valuable.
I happened to notice through a Google search that this site lists more scripture about wisdom vs knowledge, which might have more info: Link
Thank you! We hear the phrase "gifts of the Spirit," and people talking about what gift God has given to either themselves, or they want to know what gift God has given to you. They mention a few 1 Corinthians, especially chapter 12 that mentions "gifts of the Spirit," but the word gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:1 is in italics which means that in the Greek text, the word gifts is not even there. So it is not talking about spiritual gifts. But for some reason, the translators put it there and it has created a lot of confusion, and causing people are seeking after gifts from God when in reality the only gift that we are given is the gift of the Holy Spirit.
I used to seek for these "spiritual gifts" because I thought I was missing out. But if I have the Holy Spirit living inside of me, what more do I need? I lack nothing if I have His Spirit. My belief on "gifts" has changed over the years. The further I get into my study of the Greek language, the more I come to learn that all these places where I see the word gift or gifts, it's not talking about a gift that is given to anyone.
There's more than one Greek word for the word gift. We don't get the true meaning from our English bibles. All we see is the word gift or gifts, and we think it means something that is given and received.
But in our bibles, every place we see the word gift used, if we look at what word is used in the Greek, we come to see that all the "gifts" people say we can receive are not gifts at all. There is a Greek word that means a gift that is given and it is found in scripture where is says we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit. Again, according to the bible, the Holy Spirit is the only gift that is given to us. The only way to come to this conclusion about the word gift/s is to look at what Greek is being used. If it's the word CHARIS or CHARISMA, then it's not a gift that is given. If it is the word DOREA, or the verb form DIDOMI, that means to give.
Blessings to you also!
For one is given, by the Spirit, the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.
Can anyone explain for me what these two things given by the Spirit are and what is the difference between the two?
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Esau married Canaanite woman, Canaanites was a Godless tribe of people. Canaan was pronounced a curse on them by Noah. This bothered Isaac and Rebekah.
BUT Esau was never in the plans of God so so the Canaanite woman or Shem bloodline had absolutely nothing to do with Gods plan. Here's why.
It's important to notice Ham had three sons Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan. Ham wasn't cursed neither was his other three sons.
It's interesting to know Rahab was a Canaanite, Ruth was a Moabite and these are the grandmother and great grandmother of king David! And Tamar "Judah's wife" who he had two children by is said to be a Canaanite by her pagan name.
All these is in the genealogy of Christ!
It's interesting Bathsheba's husband "Uriah the Hittite" was not of Israel, And God punished David for having him killed.
Joseph wife Asenath the mother of Manasseh and Ephraim was not of the tribe of Israel either, she was Egyptian from the town of On.
God didn't focus on Shems bloodline when he formed Israel out of the loins of Abraham. They were Idol worshippers as well as the rest of the world.
The focus was on Gods promise! "Isaac the promise child" and Jacob "Gods elect". Romans 9:11.
This emphasizes Gods sovereign Grace! Not bloodline, Not doing good or evil, God purposes his grace apart from anything man can offer!!
God is no respecter of person. There is some have built a very racial doctrine behind that notion which is against the body of scripture and generates pride.
So again to answer your question, Esau married two woman from Canaan and that didn't please Isaac but he still tried to give him the blessing, But it had nothing to do with Gods Choice.
God bless.
The head, arms and torso of a centaur were human and joined at the waist to the body and legs of a horse. They represented barbarism and unbridled chaos and were frequently represented in Greek architectural sculpture.
Mishael: the key word here is Myth-ology. It is not fact, not human. No bones found.
Lots of movies made, though.
