    Hello Frank,

I will pray for you and your wife. It is sad that your relationship is as such. I pray that the Lord will open her heart to you and especially to the Lord. She needs His mercy and the guidance and influence of the Holy Spirit, so I pray for her to be filled with His presence and power to live in a godly way towards you and others. I pray that you two will become united in faith and love for one another that reflects the love of Christ and His bride. Amen.

GOD bless all on this forum. May we improve daily in our walk in CHRIST name as we read and apply HIS precepts and commandments.

Merry Christmas everyone! Have a wonderful and prosperous time with family and friends.

    Numbers 6:

26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

    Luke 2:

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

    Isaiah 9:

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Let us praise and glory our KING and SAVIOR by telling others of HIS free gift of SALVATION before it is too late.

    Sister Filina,

As someone else advised please look into your available local social services. Additionally, you may qualify for Social Security Disability payments if you are facing a difficult health situation. Call SS and appraise them of your situation. These are some practical steps you can pursue.

You may wish to also begin visiting local Bible-believing assemblies (churches) where you can make your needs known to them and hopefully receive both practical help, spiritual encouragement and the friendship and sense of family you long for. Perhaps someone there may even offer a room for rent to you.

If we feel trapped and helpless in our situation the sense of depression can smother and defeat us. Taking definite action to resolve your situation will make you feel better and give you hope that there IS a good way out of this predicament.

Most of all, keep your focus on CHRIST and your heavenly Father (I trust that you know and follow JESUS). Determine to begin each day in GOD's Word. You may wish to begin in the Gospels, reflecting on the life of CHRIST. Read at least one or more chapters every morning regardless of how you "feel". Reading in the book of Psalms (a book of prayers in the Holy Bible) will also encourage you.

Ask the Holy Spirit to use His Word to give you the strength and spiritual hope to face each day. Please make a commitment to doing this without fail. You will regain a sense that CHRIST is there, knows what you're going through, and will walk with you through this.

You are in my prayers, sister! GOD bless you in JESUS' Name!

"Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you..."

That's nice having a multifamily dinner on Christmas Eve. Also, very nice that your grandchild will be born next year. Talking about 10 in your family, there were nine in my family. My parents did their best to bring us up healthy, food, beds, clothing and their love for us. It was a treat when we would go out for burgers, fries and coke. It did not happen often. They passed away before Covid and we thank God that they did not go through that terrible time.

I agree with you. 2024 will be hard times, I'm not the gloom and doom type, but Jesus Christ is coming soon, and we must be prepared.

I will pray for your sons to come back to Jesus Christ. Please pray for four of my family members to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. God bless you sister.

Basically, no matter the opposition- we are able to over come it and go forward in the work of the LORD. Not easy, but that is what we are called to do. Remember, it is not our job or responsibility to save the lost; only to plant the seed.

May we be obedient, diligent, and faithful in our walk with the LORD.

Merry Christmas everyone and have a prosperous New Year.

We can only know our sinfulness through scripture and prayer. GOD desires us to be spiritually clean and walking in HIS word and commandments. May we be obedient and faithful in our walk with CHRIST that the lost may see our testimony and a door be open for sharing and declaring the gospel.

May we be faithful at all seasons. Merry CHRISTMAS to all the saints. Let's be open to the urging of the HOLY SPIRIT in our worship, by declaring the gospel of the LORD JESUS CHRIST unto whom-so-ever GOD brings before us.

    Numbers 6:

24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

    Luke 2

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

    Ephesians 2:

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

    Romans 10

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Christ's hidden attributes and first Advent (cont)

In general, Christ's arrival as a suffering servant which should have been clearly understood from Isaiah 53 was largely missed even by the 12 disciples who expected a conquering king. This was to be in the future; as was made clear by the reading of the scroll when Jesus read Isaiah 61:1 and stopped before 61:2 which involves His return. Christ knew what was in the heart of men ( John 2:24-25) so He didn't need anyone to explain themselves to Him. This discernment in the Spirit is a spiritual gift; but with Christ who was God in the flesh He had the fullness of the Spirit without limit ( John 3:34).

Christ also came to forgive men's sins. This was considered blasphemy by the religious leaders who immediately tried to stone Him in John 8:59 after these claims in verse 58 as being the "I am". Clearly; the contentious crowd at His trial before the crucifixion who demanded that He be crucified and Barabbas a murderer released showed the blindness of the condition of an unregenerate human heart. Judas Iscariot recognized through worldly sorrow that Christ was a righteous man that was betrayed ( Matthew 27:4 technically an "innocent man"); but the Centurion showed saving faith ( Matthew 27:54).

These passages demonstrate the importance of recognizing Christ as God the Son; not merely a good teacher or righteous man (see Matthew 16:13-20). The hidden significance of these things is still blinding the unregenerate ( 2 Cor. 4:3-4); and the Jews have been blinded until the time of the end as we seee in Romans 11:25. It is "in part" as there are Jews who recognize Christ (called Messianic Jews by some) but until Jesus is returning according to Zechariah 12-14 the nation as a whole won't recognize Him. This is quite remarkable as the world in general knows they are hiding from Christ and God's judgment during the sixth seal. This; no doubt is because of the epicenter of Antichrist's deception there.
  • Tunney on Exodus 25 - 1 year ago
GOD'S commitment to us is evidenced in the level of HIS relationship HE desires with us. HE continually guides and directs us for HIS glory and our benefit. My LORD is ever blessing and caring for us. HIS commitment is shown in sending HIS SON to be born and crucified for me and all sinners. HIS proof is HIS resurrection out of the grave, as so will I be in the future.

GOD bless everyone on this Christmas day, and to remember that we are called to know HIM not just a babe in the manger, but more so as the SAVIOR of sinful man.

May we read and follow the scriptures in order to fashion and allow ourselves to become useful tools or implements in GOD'S ministry.

LORD bless the peace in Jerusalem and the saints there, as we worship YOU in truth and in spirit.

Merry Christmas everyone. Isaiah 9:6; Luke 2: 11-14

The LORD to shine HIS face on you and bless you gloriously.

    Christ's hidden attributes.

Jesus of Nazareth came; in the flesh to fulfill numerous prophecies from the Old Testament of the Messiah to come; yet most didn't believe. This is inclusive of His own family members; the Pharisees and Saducees; and at times attitudes from His own disciples.

Eventually after He was risen the stupor was lifted at least for those who He had called and chosen. (see John 1:11; John 7:4-5).

In assessing the situation with the very real parable of Lazarus and the unnamed rich man; the very clear reality is shown that even if one was to rise from the dead they wouldn't believe ( Luke 16:31). This was proven by the soldiers and the concocted tale of how the body of Christ was stolen while they slept ( Matthew 28:13). It would be expected that the supernatural signs with the sun and moon during the Crucifixion would have been enough to convince everyone what had just happened; but we see similar things during the plagues in Revelation; yet the unregenerate in the end will attempt to fight Christ upon His return after hiding from Him during the sixth seal judgment.

Thus; the Holy Spirit is hidden from the world. Much as Christ's acts were recognized; many would not understand that He was indeed the Son of God. Some; as the Pharisees would blaspheme stating that the source was Beelzebub which prompted the warnings of Mark 3:29. Others such as the crowds being fed or those being healed were caught up with having their stomachs filled or earthly ills relieved; and as we see in Luke 17:11-19 only one of ten lepers comes back to Christ to worship Him after being healed. The rest followed Christ's instructions technically to go show themselves to the priests to affirm healing but weren't giving priority to the Messiah over Levitical law. This speaks to us on how we should not have fear to authenticate what are genuine healings as opposed to false ones which sadly are commonplace today.

Although there is a debate regarding the date of JESUS' birth, the main point is that HE came as was promised. Amen!

So let us enjoy the time we have to celebrate and declare HIS salvation with HIS blood shed on the cross.

Then there is a debate regarding HIS resurrection.

    2 Corinthians 4:

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost

May we live our lives showing that our GOD lives. We can show this by being obedient and true to HIS word. 2 Timothy 2:15; 3: 16, 17

    Merry Christmas to all; and

    Numbers 6

24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

    Luke 2

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Have a great time with family and friends!

Pnovello, Merry Christmas to you and yours, too.

Will have all our sons and daughters-in-laws here for dinner tomorrow night. We do this every Christmas Eve. We have a big multifamily dinner with My husband's family on Christmas. There are about 25 family members that attend.

Next Christmas we will have our grandbaby here to add to the bunch!

Been reading some writings by some who are purposely trying to live a more simplified and, shall I say, "old-fashioned" life. I had to laugh a bit at some of the younger ones who listed suggested changes because our family has been doing all of those things all along!

It has only been in the last 10 years that we have had any sort of "means" to have a more comfortable daily life. But now we are both retired and need to tighten up our lifestyle some and go back to some things we had done in our lifestyle for decades.

When I think of this, I am thankful for the example my parents lived for us. They parented 10 of us and never were above the poverty line. But they lived simply, stayed out of debt, paid their bills, no frills, always had food on the table, but didn't have all the fancy things our neighbors were able to have. We faired well because of the sacrifices they made daily for us.

In our society today where "self-fulfillment" is so valued, I know that living for the good of others is much more valuable. We give of our lives and livelihood for our families willingly and lovingly. That is a worthy way to live Being good stewards over our own households is important.

I think that times are going to get hard this next year. Just have this feeling that we need to prepare for financial hardships. So, we are trying to live more frugally than before and hope to plant a bigger garden so we can help others when the Lord gives us the harvest. Same is true as far as spiritually. I pray daily for God to bring my prodigal sons back to Him in faith and love. I attempt to live a life that reflects the godly life Jesus lived for us

I have much to work on in my life before my SAVIOR comes. I am saved by the blood of the LAMB by grace through faith it is a gift I received from my CHRIST. Ephesians 2: 8, 9. I must remember to daily put on my armor of GOD Ephesians 6:10-18; and that I am a new creature. 2 Corinthians 5:17

I will daily pray for those in authority, for the lost, back slidden, and for the brethren in the field planting and watering the seed, waiting for the increase from the LORD.

I will give; as I have been blessed and praise HIS name.

Thank YOU FATHER for this wonderful time we have to serve, and glorify YOU. Bless the peace needed in Jerusalem; thank YOU for YOUR word never returning void when we go out declaring YOUR truth.

    Merry Christmas all!

    Numbers 6:

Our Sovereign GOD JESUS CHRIST is in charge of all things. We currently are in a mess politically, economically, socially, and especially spiritually.

However, we can be assured that our SAVIOR KING will make things right in HIS god time.

May we continue to praise and glorify HIM in all we do; as we continue to read HIS word and do it in obedience and complete trust in HIM.
