    Dear Sandra,

you have received many good answers. Just mention to you that the people we all meet in the world. On one day, They are ours? For the responsibility lies with the one who sees, in this case it is your responsibility. I say this in peace.

I think this is a good opportunity to and forth lift up the Lord Jesus. Just "jump" in you dear Sandra and know that the King of Kings is with you. In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ be blessed with words from:

John 21. 1After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

2There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

3Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

4But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

5Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

6And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

7Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. Amen

A friend had the same problem his wife left for another. I let him know that it's not ok to remarry , as long as your spouse is alive , only death ends a marriage in Gods view .

Most churches got it all wrong .

My friend tried to reason with his wife , she became a very bad enemy and made his life miserable, trying to repair the marriage. Then it was obvious it would never work . The law says that the marriage is defiled and that can not be undone . They can be forgiven but that does not undo a defiled marriage, they joined together by sex , that remains.

So I would recommend by experience learn to be single . They left and it's most likely best they did . We are instructed if the unbelievers depart , let them go . In New Testament. I'm sorry for your loss , may the Good lord bless you and keep you faithful to your marriage vows . I hope this helps , it's not easy , but the Grace of God is sufficient in tough times . Prayers for you

The Lord promises us to meet our needs , but we are also instructed to be content with what we have , Godliness with contentment is great gain .

I'm personally by todays standards poor , in some places I would be rich . But with food and clothing we need nothing more , when we die we take zero with us from this world .

Apostle Paul said he suffered the loss of all things and had no regrets, as long as He had a close relationship with the lord .

It's almost impossible to have both , all the great things of this World and a great relationship with God .

It's good to pray for others and their needs . This world is hard but the one to come is blessed .

    Hi Elaine,

I cannot even begin to understand the pain you must feel. I will be praying for you and your husband. I want you to remind you of the hope you have through the Lord Jesus Christ. Revelation 21:4

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

We live in a fallen creation because of sin. While we may not understand everything that happens, God wants us to put our trust in Him. God is always faithful, so we can always depend on Him no matter the situation.

God never promises that this life will be easy, but we have hope. Hope through Christ.

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

Elaine, I want you to know that you're not alone. Psalms 46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Seek comfort through the Lord, He loves you and wants to help.

Please let me know if there's anything I could do for you. We are here for you.

I have often pondered our God's ways. To be shown that each step, each breath, and each tear has been ordained. They're all set already in His counsel before God even created. Each ordained for us to cry. Sometimes we wonder at the tears He gives...yet, He has a perfect plan for each one. They are so precious to Him that He will not let them fall, but He gathers them up into a bottle. Why? Oh, that we may know His love. For...each tear reminds us that we have a Saviour Who loved His Father and His beloved so much that He shed tears and anguish that even dropped as blood. For - our sorrows come because we are flesh and sin's sorrow we feel. Man must die and sin's curse is death. But, our sorrows have been taken by our Man of Sorrow. Our tears which deserve to be shed in anguish of God's wrath, have been shed by our Christ. Isaiah 53:3-4 "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted." And, in Him, we also have the wonder that we live. For, His tears were wiped away, and He sits in glory. And, He now gives us each tear that we understand His perfect love. That when our tears drop, we know He's gathering them until that day when there will no longer be a need for us to behold Him through them. For - we will have all tears wiped away, and we will behold Him in perfection where no sorrows are, but only Joy eternal! Nothing can separate us from His love. His vow is upon us, and Christ has fulfilled all. Oh, may we praise Him!

Hi Tim. Today, we use that expression to describe the full expanse of the globe, or if people are coming for a conference from the 'four corners of the Earth', we easily understand its meaning: that almost all countries are sending out people/delegates for that meeting.

In the Bible (Old Testament) we see this expression often ( Ezekiel 7:2; Isaiah 11:12) giving us the Hebrew word, kanaph, which in this usage, means 'extremities'. In the New Testament ( Revelation 7:1) the Greek word is 'gonia' & here it means 'angle, corner, division'. So the 'angels standing on the four corners of the Earth' seem to represent the division of the earth into four, and each angel covering the quadrant assigned to him, holding back the winds. Today, we would use the four points of the compass to describe the expanse of the Earth ( Luke 13:29), though the meaning in those days was that 'people would come from where the sun rises, from where it sets, from where the North wind comes, & from the direction of the South wind'. All these speak of the 'four corners of the Earth', never implying that the Earth has actual corners, which could never be identified anyway, no matter how hard man searched for them.

    Hello Beverly Drigger,

I am sorry for the heavy heart & loss you're feeling. Years ago I was going through heavy loss & I looked up the deeper the meaning of "HE binds up their wounds" & realized in life when we've gone through a surgical procedure or similar the bandages are wrapped around & tended to, sometimes removed & rebound. In the healing process. The more serious, bigger etc. The more to the process & longer to heal. It was comforting to me & I hopefully to you. That it seems to be written in the present tense, meaning HE's actively binding up our wounds. Psalms 147:3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18,

    Isaiah 26:19, 2Samuel 12:19-23, Revelation 20, Revelation 1:5, Revelation 4:13,

Hopefully these help answer your question & helps comfort you, in this moment.

Actually, I don't see much difference between the two phrases; it's probably just how one expresses his belief, using a different preposition. Compare John 6:29; Romans 4:24, with John 14:1; 1 Peter 1:21. You might not see too much difference.

Now, if the contrast was 'believing in God' to 'believing about God', then the difference is clearer, where one has put his love & trust in his heavenly Father, & the other has a belief or understanding about God's Nature & Works without necessarily having an intimacy with God. Others here may have other thoughts to help you.

Even if an officiating minister of God fell into sin, the same Blood of Jesus shed for all is efficacious when we acknowledge our sin & we confess it before the Lord ( 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."). And that is not just confessing our sinful state, but in sorrow confessing that we have wronged our Father & maybe hurt others badly; for in Christ alone & by His Sacrifice "we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" ( Colossians 1:14).

However, I believe that his position of pastor/priest & living in adultery, becomes untenable - he would need to resign & also confess his sin to his congregation. If he maintains his position & not leave, I suspect that his congregation numbers would soon dwindle, at least by those who know the Word & would be subject to hypocrisy by his continuing as a leader. All sin is evil in God's Sight; how much more should God's servants be circumspect in every area of their lives ( 1 Timothy 3:1-7).

    Ummmm..yeah!

Pray before you do it. She may not receive it well at the moment but it will linger in her spirit Until she gets it. Definitely tell her. But have some Bible to back it up.
  • Donna - In Reply - 4 years ago
I wish I could answer that for you. I did not know your sister. I don't know what her beliefs were spiritually.

I do believe I know where your sister wants you to be when you pass away though.

Beverly, I pray right now to God our Father and ask Him to give you peace that surpasses all of our human understanding that you may rest in His love. IJN

    John 3:16

For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Please Ask Jesus into your heart if you haven't already. Turn from your sins and find a church family to study the Bible with and get water baptized.

The Lord will answer all your questions in due time. I'm so sorry for your loss. Keep coming here.

Maybe some of the more mature Christians would have some more input for you. I'm praying for you tonight.

Do you have any beliefs in Calvinism (reformed theology)? That our salvation comes through Christ's completed work alone.
