To add to discussion. In a Country where people are subject to a King & Governors in Monarchy I can see where, 1 Peter 2:13,14,may apply a little more directly. but please read, 1 Peter 2:12-25, Please note: 1 Peter 2:19, even here "in good conscience toward GOD endure grief, suffering wrongfully" interesting words Con= opposing, Science...? GOD is GREAT!

There are many differences in Todays Governments.

We here in The USA are not "subjects" in our Declaration of Independence & Constitutional documents Federal & ALL States; we clearly do away with that. If you're in USA we Are The People, One Nation Under GOD. The Governing authority is ours, & it is our duty to act against Tyranny.

Side not: Recently I've received emails stating The US Supreme Court has blocked the "mandate" against a (governing agency to force companies to require vax) the Virginia Governor sworn in Sat. Jan.15, 2022. 1st Executive Orders, eliminate those regulatory wrongs even within schools. These past difficult tyrannical years should teach us to be wise for the future.

If we receive anything to save ourselves be careful = Luke 9:24, Mark 8:35, Matthew 16:25, Luke 17:33,

Hopefully this is helpful in your discussion.

Pray for the situation of a forced break up. On December 19, 2021. My fianc has come in late along with her mother.

I overreacted and started yelling. Her mother Stacy overheard me, and we started yelling at me. Words were said on

both sides. I myself am sorry for what I said. I pray that you change Gabby's heart. She suffers from emotional distress.

She is deathly scared of her mother Stacy. Her mother Stacy is atheist and practices witchcraft and has hardened her heart.

None of them have reached out of them. I trust God will make a way. I pray that you pray for this situation and to pray

God makes a way when we fully believe. God can change the situation. Her mother Stacy has filled Gabby's head with lies about

me. Pray that Gabby will stand strong, and God gives courage to Gabby to not listen to negative but to positive. Pray for Stacy

that God delivers her from the depths of evil. She laughs when someone is suffering enjoys people's pain and Stacy has

sociopathic moods. Pray for this whole situation. God is awesome and I know when we pray and trust in Him. God can heal

a relationship and bring them back a relationship that was blessed by God and God alone.

    Thank you for your prayers.

Luke 1:5,6, Zachariahs a priest & Elizabeth daughter of Aaron, walking in "all the commandments & ordinances of the LORD & blameless." Exodus 28:1, books of Leviticus, Luke 1:8-10, Luke 1:13, It was this John. Luke 1:13-17, (Read again Luke 1, awesome revelation :)

Then knowing John the son "of priests, blameless " would declare such a thing is Powerful, maybe that's why the "teachers of the law" were so._._. Matthew 3:1-17, Mark 1:1-11, John 1:1-34,

I thought it interesting that Jesus being related to the Priest was significant Luke 1:36,41,43,

Luke 1:48 Mary likewise with Elizabeth (& John lept for joy) felt not worthy even before Jesus birth.

To add to discussion hopefully this is welcome

    George,

I hope you don't mind our dialogue.

    Adam,

1st I respect like 99.9% = of your teaching, doctrine, insite & rightly dividing The Truth in your discussions & answering questions. The word "rapture" is not in the WORD of GOD that I have found thus far & it has been a subject of false teachings. Some lead the sheep to believe they will not suffer anything. I think the "great falling away" may even be part of this. 2 Thessalonians 2:3

I try to stick to the WORD itself. If you read my scriptural references I've included many scriptures about those two referenced scriptures. 1 Thessalonians 4:17, I feel it irresponsible not to included teaching about the subject in as much depth as available to not mislead but rather help each person themselves study to understand & therefore helping them follow GOD & indepth teachings of Jesus CHRIST, our Savior: by developing in themselves a knowledge of Truth & rightly dividing The truth. 2 Timothy 2:15, We do not know how long we will be available to each person we encounter, therefore why not give the WORD as abundantly as we can in each moment?

1 Thessalonians 4:17, isn't this the same "gathering" that is spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2:1, being the 2nd letter to the Thessalonians & addressing "not be shaken or troubled" 2 Thessalonians 2:2, then addresses "let no man deceive you by any means" George, Please read 2 Thessalonians 2,

Luke 17, I think in fairness: George, please read in context : Luke 17:20-37.

Please also read the scriptures I noted previously.

Thank you Adam those are also important scriptures I didn't realize I had left those out, until you noted them.

    Peace my Brother Adam.

Hello, I'm happy to share my opinion of this topic. There's nothing in the Bible directly about people needing to take an experimental substance a pharma company pushes for their commercial profit. It's not the government's role to control your body as that is a human rights violation. Even if the substance they were pushing had never harmed or killed anyone and even if it actually helped people that would still be a violation of rights. When it says in the Bible to give to caesar what is caesar's that doesn't mean to cower to tyranny and evil. For example, does that mean one could use the Bible to justify sending Jews to Auschwitz gas chambers if they were in the German army? No, it doesn't. We are supposed to follow God's moral law, before we follow man's law, and if the two conflict, then we follow God, not man. For instance, even if your government commanded you to kill people in world war 2 doesn't make it morally right, since God said do not kill.

And God gave us our bodies and we are to take care of God's belongings as we are not our own. That means to keep healthy through diet, exercise, and not to harm ourselves through experimental drugs. Given that more there's already more than 1 million documented cases of injuries and thousands of deaths just in the US as a result of the covid so-called vaccine that means its dangerous and I think its morally wrong to take it. I don't fault those who have taken it with the assumption that it was somehow helping them, but sadly it has all been a sham. This has been one of the largest human rights violations in world history with possibly millions dead unnecessarily because of greed. Pray that the truth will be finally revealed.
  • Chris - In Reply on Joshua 3 - 4 years ago
Hello Letizia. There's nothing in the Bible about getting a vaccination against Covid, nor a compulsion to take any vaccinations. However, there is a Scriptures that speaks of obedience to governments: 1 Peter 2:13,14, "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well."

So, as believers, we are required to not only obey God, but also to obey the administration of government as they bring in laws & give direction for many areas of personal life & business in society. We may not like or agree with those personalities within government or even their laws, but IF a law is given for our good, then we should obey. As yet, this vaccine has not been enforced upon us (though in some jobs, it has become necessary, just as the need to wear specific head or body protection). Still, it must remain the choice of each one whether to take the vaccine or not. If for conscience sake or before the Lord, one chooses not to take the vaccine, that might be acceptable to God but maybe unacceptable to the government, & therefore some form of restriction might be imposed.

Then, to answer your question, if a person believes that the vaccine is wrong or detrimental to one's health, then refrain from taking it & accept the consequences. I don't think that our choice in this particular matter has to meet God's Approval - there are many decisions in life that God leaves up to us that don't violate His commands - I feel this is one of them.

I will comment on this book, the author I believe is the Apostle Paul, there are various reasons why I state this as truth, found in the writings are the doctrine of hope, this is a Pauline doctrine for the salvation of the soul and body, as in all other Pauline epistles on that subject. The one who wrote this book was Timothy 13:25 and the one who created the book had rule over Timothy, to send him to the churches 13:23 This book is a contrast between the Old Testament and the New Testament, the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant, and the difference between the priesthood of Levi and the Melchizedek priesthood.

I believe this is what you're asking for,

Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" "For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

Luke 12:31 "But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you."

I've been thinking about other ways to make this site improved since you indicated that you are seeing input. I have already suggested few things. But here are a few more.

Have the page numbers be listed on the bottom and the top of the page.

Have a way to view another posters posts either most recent or as a history

I thi k that the encouraging comments and Christian life could be combined as one

Perhaps have a tab for basic necessary Christian beliefs that people can add their understanding of the tenet even if it isn't a current tending conversation.

This way, anyone can goon that tab and read up on the tenet of choice to gather information that will help them learn and develop a solid foundation.

    Hi Angela.

I would like to encourage you to get a reading program if you haven't already, and trust in the Holyspirit to reveal his truths.

Along with that J vernon mcgee has a great collection of commentary. Or you can find him and several others on Blueletterbible video and audio commentaries.

There's guys on this site that would love to help if you have questions.

Any route you take there's no substitution to reading and studying all 66 books.

Don't begin with topical studies or historical studies, let the Holyspirit work in your studies as it has done in the Church over 2000 years.

    God bless.

Drat these small buttons on my phone and the way it wants to edit my words. I have to laugh at the mistakes in my posts. Hope you get the gist of the words that are garbled. Keeps us humble, I guess.

    Good afternoon Jcbu

It is true that each of us have some sort of "barren ground" that needs carefulmar the Master Gardener. As we seek the Lord more diligently, frequently, and profoundly, He will till up the "soil" of our"barren" area, water it with His Word, plant it with His life, and shine on it with His grace and mercy to make it become fruitful to Him and His purposes.

Jesus is our "All". In thanksgiving, we should give Hom our all in worship, love, obedience, and service to others. This is a really big assignment. God doesn't expect us to eat perfect in this, just gone willing to move in it daily as He leads and empowers us. He loves us so , more than we could ever imagine. What a wonderful Savior!
  • Gigi - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Agreed Chris

I do not know the verse, but Scripture does say that God knows the end from the beginning. So, He chooses each of us by His foreknowledge of how we will respond to the Gospel and His grace to us. He is merciful and He is just in all of His ways. He is faithful to His promise and His goodness and love is boundless. Therefore, we can trust Him in all of His ways. He is our Perfect God

    Hi Chanda

    In answer to your questions:

    The Bible has 66 books without the Apocrypha;

Which is 14 books. If your Bible has the Apocrypha it has 80. 66+14=80

Jesus was 33 or so when He died

The account of Jesus speaking with Nicodemus is in John 3:1-21

B . Defo without replies . It's much better , especially the questions pages . The original question stays on the top . This makes it easy to identify it as the original question and therefore to answer it . I like that some days I don't have time to answer and now I can come back a few days later and easily find the question again as it stays on the top .

Thank you for your post , I enjoyed it very much . We must try to remember that God is THE GOD , and therefore He is the God of all flesh , all flesh of all faiths and atheists , they just don't know it yet . We must treat every one as kindly as we can . Lk Ch 6 V 35 , Jere Ch 32 V 27 , Psalm 24 V 1 . This planet isn't ours , we don't own any of it Lev Ch 25 V 23 , 1st Chrn Ch 29 V 15 . As God is no respecter of persons , then we should b trying very hard to not b respectors of persons . We all judge others ,by their houses their clothes their cars their jobs their hairstyles etc , often we do it subconsciously but sometimes very consciously . Acts Ch 10 V 34+35 . We should try not to label people , labels r man made , we r not supposed to go along with the rest of the world , we r not supposed to think the way it does , Romans Ch 8 V 1-14 and Luke Ch 16 V 15 . Finally Hebrews Ch 13 V 2 . Thank you again for your post .
