For now, I think it is unwise for you to be a teacher in the church. Teachers need to be above reproach in conduct, and you are not there yet until you are delivered from drug use, which is a hard road to go through. Thankfully, the Spirit will help you as he continues to sanctify you day by day. Don't give up, God is always faithful. He will deliver you. Trust Him. Be ever prayerful, and ask for strength to refuse to take a step into the direction of temptations, circumstances and people who would lead you to use again. I am sorry that you have this to go through. I look forward to hearing about your deliverance and how God rescued you and uses you. Look up and have hope!

Yes, Don,

Thanks, I had to quit work two years before I expected to retire due to arthritis in my lower back and asthmatic problems that exacerbated with flu infections I would get from my students. When Covid ramped up, I stayed home and have been cautious, though I do venture out to get what I need from the store. There are much better treatments available now with covid, and it seems the Omicron variant is less severe of an infection. Even so, I have such a hard time with the flu, I do not wish to get covid at all. So I am prayerful. My husband works from home, now permanently, so I have company during the day when he comes out of his office. Our adult son lives with us, too. So thankfully, I am not isolated. I go for drives to see the beauty of nature and visit a few friends who already had covid. I help my 88 year old mom when needed.

So, I have done well with retirement so far. It has allowed me to study the word more, pray more, and support others.

Thank you for your prayers. My son knows I miss him and need him ,but he doesn't care don't care. He says i am toxic and dislikes my views. I have stood by him more times than I can count, seem him go thu so many girlfriends and with 5 or 5 kids that he wanted me to always accept. He is now with a woman that has convinced him that he as changed for the better, which includes drinking and pot. I didn't raise him to use foul works but that is all that he, his girlfriend, her 4 kids speak. It is hard to be dismissed by my own blood. I have prayed for over 3 years over this. God didn't seem to hear me.
