Mary I pray right now that the HOLY SPIRIT will come and comfort you and take away all the loneliness your feeling.I also pray that your family will realize that you need them in your life and they need you! They don't realize this right now because satan has them blinded so we ask our Heavenly Father to take the scales off their eyes so they can see. Let's agree to and ask JESUS for your friends to come around and even some new friends who are also believers.I have to say that you have to let your family know that you are lonely and miss them in your life. We often don't realize these things until it's too late. GOD bless you Mary and stay in prayer. Also you can call a church in your area that provides transportation for you to get to church and Bible studies.

With respect and affection . I have what u might call my formal prayers that I do every day and then I have little prayers in my heart and mind throughout the day . I don't think that all our prayers have to b formal . I often pray as I am walking around outside or doing my chores . Both my parents r quite poorly so I often say in my head : dear God please b merciful to my mum and dad . They both have a lot of painful and distressing ailments . Here r a few scriptural references about the importance of prayer : 1st Sam Ch 12 V 23 , Jer Ch 29 v 12 , Luk Ch 21 v 36 , Luk Ch 6 V 28 , Luk Ch 18 V 1 , John Ch 17 V 9 , 1st Tim Ch 2 V 8 . Job Ch 42 v 8 and James Ch 5 V 16 go together nicely I think . Jesus tells us in Mat Ch 6 V 10 to pray : Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done , this ties in with Rev Ch 22 V 20 nicely as we wait for Ezekiel Ch 40 to Ch 48 to b fulfilled . To pray for the peace of Jerusalem is to pray for the return of Christ I believe . It is only then that Jerusalem will have true and lasting peace . There r lots of little prayers that u can carry in your heart and mind all day long , some personal to u , others more scriptural . God looks straight into your heart and mind all day , with ease . We r open books to Him .

Dear Mary, if you are a born-again believer in Christ, He hears your prayer. Sometimes we have to be patient and wait upon Him.

1 John 5:14-15 - And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

Psalm 56:3 - Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

2 Timothy 1:12 - for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

    God bless you, Mary!

Revelations 11:4 speaks of two witnesses the 2 olive trees and 2 candlesticks. Zechariah 4:1-14 lets you know a olive tree is Gods people Romans 11:13:24 tells you that the original olive tree is Israel the wild olive tree is the gentiles. They both have to be graphed into the root. A candlestick is a church look at Revelations 1:20. These two groups will receive a power like never before to preach the truth to the whole world during the tribulation. They will have a warrior type power like Moses or Elijah. They will be the enemy of this world but for the first 3.5 years nobody will be able to stop them. Then they will be killed and the world will be happy but then they live again in front of people. God proves once again that he is the only God. Not everybody that says I believe will enter the kingdom of heaven. Some of these people God will say part from me I never knew you. If you read revelations chapters 2 and 3 you will see that there were and are two types of churches that God approves, the other 5 he does not.

The two witnesses in revelations 11:4 are two groups during the tribulation the olive trees Zechariah 4:1-14 lets you know that the olive tree is Gods people. Romans 13-24 lets you know that it is jew and gentile one being the original olive tree and the gentile being the wild olive tree. Both has to be graphed into the root. The two candlesticks are churches you see this in revelations 1:20. These two witnesses will have power like never before during the tribulation. a WARRIOR type power like Moses and Elijah had. Because of this they will be a enemy to the world they will not comply to satans tactics and will preach the truth so the whole world can hear it. Then sometime in this 7 year tribulation they will be killed and the world will love it. But they come back to life in front of people and make them very scared God proves once again he is the only way. There will be no excuse this time, everyone gets the truth and will decide who they serve.

Hi ty for response i also saw the error after it wasposted. Please forgive me.

The references are usually tiny fonts below the scripture you read from the Bible.

Please read chapter 7 in John eksample:in v. 38 He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

    Reference to Isaiah 12.

Good luck and price Him Jesus Christ. He is our Savior. Amen

    Hello Gigi,

It is a lot more complicated than it sounds. I'm an adult. The problem is that I can't prove what is happening. I've already gone to law enforcement. They have no evidence to go on. I'm sort of stuck. I know that God didn't cause this, but is allowing it. I just have to trust Him that eventually, He will bring these people to justice. In the meantime, I'm believing God for His grace and strength. I just don't know what else to do.

I came across this link on the Web site about "race mixing": Link. The Bible does not forbid different ethnic groups to marry. God forbade and forbids the saved to marry the unsaved. Deuteronomy Chapter 7:3-4: "4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly."

Other verses included on the page don't even pertain to ethnic groups. They pertain to sexual immorality, heterosexual marriage, an illegitimate person, The Creation, saved people's unity in God, and a saved person's identity in Jesus Christ. You also include Acts 17:26 ("one blood"), which also has nothing to do with so-called separation of so-called races.

Your list twists scriptures to promote the lies told by Whites who that helped to justify chattel slavery, lynching of Black Americans, legalized segregation and prejudice, racism, and ethnic discrimination of Black people and persons of other ethnic groups. Also see From Indentured Servitude to Racial Slavery, PBS, and Laws that banned mixed marriages (May 2010), Ferris State University; You Tube video, One Race - Ken Ham Video Teaching January 19, 2022 - Ken Ham also explains the connection between evolution and racism and the curse of Canaan (not Ham); and Answers in Genesis book, One Race One Blood. You can also read the chapters online free.

It is a great disappointment to see that once again, people are using the Bible to justify the sins of pride and hatred. Which ethnic group or groups are superior to all other ethnic groups? According to Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23 no ethnic group is superior. This list is against God's holy word and comes from the flesh and Satan. We need to read the Word of God in context and not use God's Word to justify the sins of pride, variance, and hatred ( Galatians 5:19-20 and Proverbs 16:5). 1 John 2:16; 1 Corinthians 7:39.

Praying for my son, whom I have not heard from or seen since November 2021. He is supposedly on opiates. Praying every day for protection from harm seen and unseen. Praying GOD take the taste of opiates out of his mouth. Call his name Travis before the Lord for deliverance from his addiction.

I have been concentrating on my relationship with God. I continue to ask Him to search me and mold me into a s"Vessel", Sanctified and set apart, to be used by Him to bring Glory to Him and to Him, ONLY, not just for what He has done but simply for who He is in my life. I had to be tested by His "Word", and through His Power, by the shedding of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, He has responded. Daily I know that there are things of this World that are used as a Testing, of our growth in Faith. And through such that we fine tune our sight through Spiritual eyes. I see "Greater Blessings". My Prayer Life has been amped up, and He Speaks and His voice, I am amazed that's sinner like me, yet, Saved by Grace, He guides me with Wisdom and knowledge. I see the fallout of many. But to God I owe my life, so I rejoice in the fact as I have studied and Praised, John 15:16, Jesus said, I chose you, you didn't choose me! Oh how glorious were they to me. They jumped off the pages and embraced me. I just learned to love myself after all this time, God's, not mine. All things in my life, are the Plan a product of Faith and Joy as God has granted me the "Wisdom" as I have been created in His image. Those words are True, if not, God would be as Man, and lie, He knew those Words, Faith, Hope and Charity, Charity being "Love", I had to Love myself, in order to give the return to God in Spirit and Truth and to my fellowman. I can be who God says I can be, Certainly I can and will do what God says for me to do. God's Word, not Man's shall hinder me from turning back and Praising God, He brought me out. I have no reason to look back! I ask for forgiveness for many sins in thought and in deed. It has been said, "I am NOT like You", God is pleased with me and when He is not, I plead forgiveness as He has taught and with just a Word, is faithful, HE, tells me once, and I hear it twice, ( Psalm 62), exactly whether to take a step, or Be Still, Know that HE is God!!

    Genesis 9:20-23 KJV

[20] And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: [21] And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. [22] And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. [23] And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

Ham invaded his father's privacy just like when a child opens their parents door without knocking or introducing themselves . That is the wrong that Ham did. It's against Gods law for a child to uncover their parents nakedness even in the time of Noah, it was given to be written down by Moses, but during the time of Noah, this rule was already known.

I pray for mercy and grace and to reunite with my family. It as been so difficult on a daily basis. I cry out to the Lord and don't think he hears me. That's a question which many have pondered over. However, when people ask such a question, they generally begin with 'God having chosen some to belong to Him & have rejected others consigning them to suffering in Hell'. Yet, in my understanding, the start of it doesn't begin with God choosing, but with God knowing. "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God" ( 1 Peter 1:2); or, 'being a part of the elect of God because of God's foreknowledge of every person'.

We believe in an Omniscient God, that is a God Who knows all things, the complete lives of people (before their birth till the day of their death) & every event in Heaven & on Earth that may not even had a beginning as yet to us. Psalm 139:1-16 is a great Psalm showing both the omniscience & omni-presence of God & as David said in verse 6: "Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it." Such knowledge is only in God's domain, not just of all things present, but also of all things before they come to pass or into being.

So when we read a verse as you shared, John 15:16, we see that Jesus chose His disciples to belong to Him & to perform His Will. But how did Jesus know whom to choose out of the great number of eligible men that lived there? Was it just a good guess on His part, though one chosen was wicked ( John 6:70)? Or maybe, the night he spent in prayer with His Father ( Luke 6:12,13), was also a night of the Father's instructions on the men to select from all those who followed Him. So we see here, that before choosing them to go out to serve, they first had to be the ones whom God knew would be responsive to His Son.

Once we understand this, then we won't see God as being an unjust God showing partiality. That those who come to Him in faith through His Son are those not being forced to do so, but are those whom God already knew of before their birth (as David did). And those who are "destined for Hell", choose to go there, God knowing the path their lives would take.

How many times in the Bible is the phrase "Brethren I would not have you be ignorant" used?

  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
As S. Spencer has written, there's no specific Scripture to support what you seek apart from the Scriptures given about the Church being Christ's bride.

I will however add another one which maybe helpful: 1 Corinthians 7:34 (in part), "The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit...".

The woman that is spoken about here is clearly one who has never been married, but I see no reason to also include those who have been widowed & now choose to live alone without remarrying. So, to this woman, she can, without distractions of family in the home, might devote herself much more to the "things of the Lord" (i.e. prayer, fasting, Word study, ministry to others & the Church), which may have only been done piecemeal when she had other responsibilities. Clearly, she, as with the whole Church, are members of the Body of Christ, joined to Him in a much deeper way than even an earthly marriage could provide. What an earthly husband can provide now for his wife pales into the distance when compared to a child of God who fully embraces the delights of being found in Christ.

in John 15:16 it says God chooses his people or I think that's what it means. But I was wondering if God is the one who chooses his people and we are not the ones to choose Him, then does that mean the people that are not chosen, He destined them to go to hell? like they cant choose? I hope what I said makes sense, thanks!

John 15:16 - "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."
  • Chris - In Reply on Acts 20 - 4 years ago
From further probing, a dictionary defines 'more than a little/ not a little' as 'a large amount or to a large degree'. The example it gave is: "They had sincere respect for her, and not a little affection." "The team was more than a little unlucky to lose by just one point."

In both examples, the meaning is 'much or greatly'. It's just the way our language can be sometimes used, sadly, making it a little more complex for many readers.
  • Rick Haggett on Matthew 1 - 4 years ago
Some confusion here. Some say that when we die the soul goes to God for judgement as the bible says once to die and then the judgement. That gives me the impression that the judgement comes after you die. If that is the case then the bible also says for the dead are dead and conscience of nothing but he will raise then up when he comes to the air but not his 2nd coming. The dead in Christ will rise first. And then the living will be called up. If the people are dead then and do not get raised until Christ appears in the sky, then how can their soul already be with God after they died. God made man from the dust of the ground and created a living soul. So if the soul goes to heaven up death, would this not man man immortal? Only God is immortal. There seems to be two possibilites here that I cannot get the right one. Are the soul and Body one or separate? Thanks.
