Hi Sharina, glad to see your response. It sounds like you have the freedom to leave but are choosing not to, because you lack money, am I understanding this right? But if you are in danger of physical harm, money should be irrelevant. Someone in an emergency first escapes the danger, then once you get to safety, you then can collect yourself and trust God and others to help you find shelter, food, water, and get on your feet. Lack of money does not prevent anyone from escaping. There are so many charities, churches, and organizations designed to help someone exactly in your situation- does anything prevent you from calling them right now to see if they can help you today?

But even if nothing was available I would do absolutely anything to escape and would trust God that he will provide a place for you to go. The concern of lack of money should not be important enough to keep someone in an unsafe and unnecessary situation. I am praying for you.

    Good morning,

One more suggestion. I would like the page numbers to be at the top of the page also, instead of just at the bottom. It is inconvenient to have to scroll down to the bottom on each page to get back to the page I am seeking to return to after responding to a post.

    thanks

    Well said Sean.

I know people in this lifestyle and they have reservations about becoming a Christian because they know they will have to admit that their lifestyle is sinful. This means, to repent, they will have to deny who they believe themselves to be. Doing this is somewhat a crisis for them as their sense of self is so tied up with this orientation, as they truly believe it is truly who they are. So, not knowing Jesus, they do not understand the freedom we receive by denying self and living for Jesus. It is a big leap for these people over a large barrier. I pray for those I know. We should all pray for those deceived and trapped in this lifestyle, as it is very hard for them to make a turn-about concerning it. I am not saying they need to turn from it in order to come to Jesus. This turning comes after, by grace. But their minds are blinded and, although they know that serving Jesus would entail turning from this lifestyle, they do not understand the power of God's grace yet, so don't think they can change who they see themselves as being.

    Hi Ellen.

The flesh relationship that one would have with Abraham profit you nothing in regards to being a joint heirs of the promise.

We are heirs of the promise by faith!

Galatians 4:28-31. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

    Abraham was given

Romans 4:8-11. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

THE NATURAL BIRTH DOESN'T COMMEND ONE TO GOD.

Galatians 3:6-9. Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Galatians 3:16. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Neither Muslims or Jews accept this narrow way! John 14:6.

    God bless.

    Hello, Ellen,

Abraham also ad 6 sons with Keturah (a slave he took for a wife after Sara died). These sons were circumcised. The populated areas Midian and Saudi Arabia. My understanding is that Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet, but not as the Messiah. They are waiting for the Messiah to still come. While it is true that Jews, Muslims, and Christians all associate their faith with the God of Abraham, Muslims and Jews do not accept Jesus as the Messiah, nor do they accept that He is both God and man in one Person, so they do not worship Him as Christians do. Also, Muslims and Jews do not believe that one is saved by faith in Jesus. They teach that they are saved by works of obedience to the laws and statutes of their faith.

Also, Muhammed was a moon god worshipper before he was visited by and angel to establish Islam. I believe tis angel was a fallen one and helped Muhammed set up a religion that is false and has deceived millions and millions over the decades. I have not read a source that Muhammed was descended from one of Ishmael's sons. I will need to research that now that you mentioned it. Thank you for your post. I think it is important for us to understand more about islam since it's influence is expanding in our present generation.

Hi Alex N; glad to hear from you again, this subject is one of great depth concerning the kingdom, perhaps I understand this doctrine differently than you do as the first dispensation and manifestation of the kingdom has happened already. When we were born again we enter the kingdom John 3:5 The Apostle Paul taught we were translated from darkness into the kingdom of Christ, which I believe refers unto our spirit alone in Colossians 1:13 Again we already received the kingdom in Hebrews 12:28 These truths cannot be denied, Yet we look forward to the millennial kingdom of God as in Revelation 20:4 knowing this kingdom of Christ will come as you mentioned in Revelation 12:10 which indicates the middle of the seven year tribulation. Now we differ as I believe the man child are the sons of God, Christians who are mature, being led by the Holy Ghost, as in Romans 8:14 I cannot accept the man child to be the Holy Ghost, for the man child is raptured in Rev. 12:5-6 in the middle of the tribulation, yet the bible affirms constantly the Holy Ghost is here on earth working in the 144,000 the two witnesses, and all children of God during the tribulation, and such like. I do not interpret the woman as humanity, like you do, as the woman to me is the church of Jesus Christ as in Rev. 12:17 she has the testimony of Christ and keeps commandments, Israel does not have these things, and the world does not have these things either, only the church can have these things. Remember the woman is clothed with the sun, a metaphor for the gospel, the moon under her feet, meaning to have power over Satan and all fallen angels, which only the church has in the name of Jesus Christ. You are right to call the city New Jerusalem the kingdom of heaven, as this kingdom of God comes after the millennial kingdom of Christ, yet it is the final manifestation of the kingdom of heaven. I will ask therefore, have you taken into account, not all Christians will make it into the kingdom. Mat.7:21

I have heard all my life that there is only one God, several places in Isaiah will prove that. Why if there is one God do preachers baptise in the "titles" of Father, Son, and Holyghost. Isaiah 9:6 states that For unto us a child is born unto us a son is given and the government shall be on his shoulders, his name shall be called wonderful, counselor, the mighty god, the everlasting father and the prince of peace. Matthew states that Mary had conceived of the Holyghost. So correct me if I am wrong - the baby in the manger Jesus is God in the Flesh, the Father, the Son, and the Holyghost. So why don't they cut the chase and make it simple and baptise in JESUS Name?

    Sean,

I understand your point. When people post, even if they cite Scripture, they often add opinion in their commentary on the Scripture cited. Citing a Scripture does not necessarily make one's stated opinion correct. I often do cite Scripture. But in my post to you I was speaking to what you stated as opinion. So, as in most, we speak from what we know. And we should gain knowledge from Scripture, as you said. Scripture does not often give extended explanations on some topics and that is where considering what other people of the faith have said/written to explain a matter, as many do on this site as well as in books or from an internet site.

You are free to have your opinion based on the sources you have gone to for information. And I, mine. I did not post my viewpoint to rebut what you had written. I was just relaying information I had found from theological sources that helped me with my explanation. Some people do not wish to consider such sources and others, like me, appreciate reading a viewpoint outside of what I, myself, think about a Scriptural topic. So, no offense intended to your, my brother.

You can dismiss my post as you stated. I am not offended if you do. Have a good day. Sean.

  • S Spencer - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Hi Jacqueline.

I'm not sure that's in scripture the way you put it. Here's a link.

The imagery and symbolism of marriage is applied to Christ and the body of believers known as the church. The church is comprised of those who have trusted in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and have received eternal life. Christ, theBridegroom, has sacrificially and lovingly chosen the church to be His bride ( Ephesians 5:25-27). Just as there was a betrothal period in biblical times during which the bride and groom were separated until the wedding, so is the bride of Christ separate from her Bridegroom during the church age. Her responsibility during the betrothal period is to be faithful to Him ( 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:24). At therapture, the church will be united with the Bridegroom and the official "wedding ceremony" will take place and, with it, the eternal union of Christ and His bride will be actualized ( Revelation 19:7-9;21:1-2).

    God bless.

MUSLIMS BELIEVE JESUS IS MESSIAH TOO!

Muslims, Christians and Jews alike serve the one true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Jews are under Isaac, Muslims are under Ishmael and Christians are under Jesus.

As it is written in the Hebrew Tanakh (Torah & writings of the prophets/Old Testament), Abraham had two sons; one of a bondwoman Hagar unto Ishmael and Isaac born of a free woman Sarah the bloodline unto the descendants of Abraham ( Genesis 21:12). God called as this bloodline for the Messiah but God did not forget Abraham's first son Ishmael. God Honors Ishmael and promised Abraham he will make Ishmael a great nation ( Genesis 21:13) which is long before God promised Moses to make the Jews a great nation ( Exodus 32:10).

When the Lord first made a covenant with Abraham ( Genesis 17) God said it will be an everlasting covenant with he that is born of the house and he that is bought with money as servant of the house ( Genesis 17:13) and the covenant is the circumcised flesh. All of Abrahams house was circumcised in Genesis 17. Isaac who the covenant unto the elect of God is through wasnt born yet and it was Ishmael who was circumcized.

There is only one God, the God of Abraham. Ishmael grew up with God And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer ( Genesis 21:20). Ismael had 12 princes ( Genesis 25:16) which are the bloodline of Arab (Muslim) tribes today.

The blood lineage of Prophet Muhammad directly descends from the tribe of Ishmael's second son Kedar ( Genesis 25:12-17). God told Abraham that Ishmael Shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren ( Genesis 16:12).

ALL THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD WILL BE BLESSED IN ABRAHAM ( Genesis 22:18)!

Abraham's circumzied himself and his son Ishmael ( Genesis 17:26) and all the males of his house who were born into house or were bought as servants and circumcised them ( Genesis 17:23) grafting them all into the promise also!

Abraham did not only marry Hagar who bare Ishmael and Sarah who bare Isaac but Abraham also took another wife Keturah whom he married after Sarah died ( Genesis 25:1) and she bare him six sons ( Genesis 25:2). Short answer ,It wasn't added because it wasn't appealing to the Heathen .The Apocrypha tells you exactly who ESAU is.. However, shout-out to Biblical Israel ( Isaiah 11:12:And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the Dispersed of JUDAH from the four corners of the earth.). Our redemption is near . (Baruch 2:30 For I knew that they would not hear me, because it is a stiffnecked people: but in the land of their Captivities they shall remember themselves.) HalleluYah. P.s. shout-out to the Gentiles who accept and preach Truth.

I feel horrible about myself, and this leads to more isolation. I want this cycle to be broken in Jesus name. I appreciate your encouraging words. May God Bless you!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

    - I pray that Rachel will regain her faith, love and zeal for God, go to church, serve and be well, that she loves us, trusts us and heals, that we stay in touch, that people accept us and be hospitable, may the Lord restore all marriages, work miracles in our lives, fast as much as possible, never harden us, lie, smoke, sin or be adulterous, to find a job, deliver us from fear , from worldliness, to fast as much as possible, to strengthen ourselves, not to put ourselves under yokes, not to let ourselves be judged, to find discipline, to be happy, to wait three months, to expatriate ourselves, to confess our healings, to have good seasons, pass a teaching competition and my studies/exams, the 4 semesters, be better in English, redo internships, give thanks, manage emotions and stress, grow with Christ, not hide things or be oppressed and be independent . May he bless our finances and break our ties, give us support and families, find strength and rest!! May the Lord bless and save our authorities, our directions, the Bible institutes, the rectorates, the universities and that the laws/programs/secularism change, to have good grades, to fast in the evening, that we can express ourselves, pray in languages more than others, always be cheerful, let every man be slow to speak, quick to listen and slow to get angry, listen to us, not be rejected or bullied, not hate or have arguments, eat good things, go to Mcdo, recover and heal from insomnia, that people come to see us, that the Lord smooths our ways and confirms prophecies, dreams, visions and dreams!! I pray that the Lord will unite and reconcile our loved ones (parents/grandparents, siblings, friends, neighbors, wife...), that they be saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit, as well as our promotions, that they go to church and read the Bible, may they seek the face of God and be born again, give us a new heart and spirit, may everyone enter into their gifts and callings, may child
