Hi Kataleanna. There was no other woman (or man) before the Genesis account of Creation. In fact, Genesis 3:20 states it like this: "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living." To be the mother of all living, implies that no one else could have been around, or before her, to bear children & start the human race - to grow & spread.

If there was another woman, man or even another human race before Adam & Eve, then the Bible doesn't declare it, indeed, the whole creation account strongly suggests that this great creative act of God was His first Initiative in preparing & inhabitating the World that He had prepared for His Glory.

There was no woman before Eve. She was created from the rib of the first man, Adam.

I will comment on versus 19-21; we are warned by the Apostle Paul in these versus that if Christians live an ungodly lifestyle, they will not inherit the kingdom of God. In order to understand the warning we must first understand the difference between entering the first dispensation of the kingdom of God, and inheriting the second dispensation of the kingdom of God. All Christians, upon being born again enter the kingdom of God, as in John 3:5 & Colossians 1:13 The Lord Jesus taught during this first dispensation of the kingdom of God, it is within the heart of all believers. Luke 17:20-21 We got into the kingdom of God by unconditional promises, through faith without works, as part of the foundation that Christ Jesus laid. Yet when we speak about inheriting the kingdom, we cannot talk about this first dispensation of the kingdom of God at all, seeing the word used here is inheriting, meaning, the Apostle Paul is referring unto the second dispensation of the kingdom of God, known as the millennial kingdom. Not all Christians will make it into this kingdom, although they will all go to heaven, yet to make it into the kingdom of heaven, it is not a free gift, rather you must earn entrance by meeting conditional promises, as in Matthew 7:21 and as in Acts 14:22 and as in Matthew 3:5 and Matthew 3:10 All of which speak of entering the millennial kingdom of heaven by faith with works, as you meet the conditions spoken of in those chapter versus. On the other hand, if a Christian lives an immoral lifestyle, as mentioned here in these seventeen sins, he is denied entrance into the millennial kingdom of God, and will remain in heaven until the thousand year kingdom is over.

Asking for strong protection and for the Lord to fight our battles and breakthrough. Asking for better sleep and for family members to find the Lord and be saved and also for freedom from bondage. Also for our church to pray more. May the Lord help us and all in need.

Good question! Just like anyone else, everyone must obey the plan of salvation. You will find it in Acts 2:38. When we let go of our will and conform to God's will, His Spirit is able to come and live inside of us and that gives us power to live a holy life unto Him.
  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hi Diana. I would say that a 'gay' person would be saved as any other sinner. First, to acknowledge that they are sinners like we all are - that a homosexual lifestyle is sin & unacceptable to God; then, to come to the foot of the Cross gazing upon the Holy One of God Who sacrificed His Life to make them clean & whole again. When we truly repent of our sin & old ways, pursuing after sinful thoughts & acts, then the Lord forgives & accepts us. Isaiah 55:7: "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." And that pardon is fully realized through His Son Who made it possible for all who turn to Him in faith & love.

And through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, our desires & lusts also change or removed when we wholly look to Him for power & deliverance. That is the chief work of God's Spirit: to conform us each day to the Image of Jesus ( Romans 8:29:

"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Healing of mind, spirit & sometimes body begin to happen. Desires for same gender intimacy will fade away, with power to live a different lifestyle & for the Glory of God. The road may not be easy at first, but the Lord Who saves completely also has the Power to bring healing to sin-affected minds who now desire to only serve Him.

I would consider using statues or icons like crosses, etc. as a perceived conduit between a person and God is idolatry.

To me, praying to statues of saints, pictures of Christ, etc, is the same as the Israelites creating the golden calf to represent Yahweh and Moses condemned this outright.

Sarah, you will probably be getting a number of responses. I know that Psalm 147:3 tells us that God heals the broken hearted.

As to where to start reading. I suggest reading all 4 gospels first. Become familiar with Jesus, His life, His words. He is what the whole Bible is all about, to point to Him. He is our Savior and Lord, so learning all about Him in the gospels is foundational. From the gospels, I would read the epistles beginning with Romans. Then I would read the book of Acts.

Do not be in a rush to read all of these. Take it slow and steady so the Holy Spirit can help you understand.

Col. 1. I am amazed that the Lord revealed to me in a last minute request of the Pastor for me to teach a Bible study, and having chosen this passage, He (God) gave me understanding beyond my scholastic abilities to explain to the people ( the identical) exactly what is broken down in the last paragraph on this breakdown above. Holy Spirit is TRULY a wonderful teacher on whom we can depend when we need to have an interpreter. Praise be to God on high. Hands lifted up!! :-)

"I love Jesus, and I have confessed Him as Lord and Savior. I was high up in the music industry, and I still have a problem with cocaine. I do not party with anyone, and I read the bible and pray. My pastor's want me to become a teacher at our church. I buy cocaine two or three times a month and lock myself up in my room. I don't understand if it is a curse or what, but I do not know what to do."
  • Chris - In Reply on Psalms 22 - 4 years ago
Psalm 22 is a Psalm of King David & is also understood as a Messianic Psalm, i.e. prophetically looking ahead to Christ & His sufferings prior to & upon the Cross.

When we consider the Psalm, we see David's allusions to various animals, viz. the strong bulls of Bashan (v12); a ravening, roaring lion (vv13, 21); & dogs (vv16,20). All these animals appeared to David as representative of people (his enemies) & probably the evil spirit behind them, that sought to take his life. So the imagery given to us in 'dogs', is that of a pack of wild dogs with baring teeth, seeking to pierce him (v16) & maul & devour him (v20: by their ruthless power over man).

And "my soul" & "my darling" speaks about his enemies' focussed thrust against him, and it appeared to David, as directed only against him - to rob him not only of his life, but all that that life was purposed to accomplish for God's Purposes. He earnestly sought the Lord, the One Who gave him life, nurturing him & bringing him to this point of being Israel's king (vv9,10). Thus his cry for deliverance from evil men that they should not gain victory over his life & he would be a living testimony of God's Power & Goodness to his people (vv22 ff).

Hi Alex N. In your response to conditional promises, you wrote about the kingdom of God, as though all Christians already have this in them, I should clarify this statement therefore to you, the first dispensation of the kingdom of heaven is inwardly, it lasts for 2,000 years, from the time the Lord Jesus died until he returns, according to the Lord Jesus in Luke 17:20-21 all Christians have the kingdom of God in their heart, this is also taught in John 3:5, all Christians enter the kingdom of God when they are born again, The Apostle Paul affirms this truth in Colossians 1:13, however, this is not what I was speaking about in conditional promises, I spoke about the millennial kingdom of God, which has not happened yet, no Christian has entered this yet, all scriptures place conditions upon entering that kingdom of God. I will say this, we made it into the first dispensation of the kingdom by faith without works, but to make it into the millennial kingdom, it is by faith with works. Please read Matthew 7:21 only if a Christian does the will of God can he make it in, this is a condition attached to making it in the kingdom. Read Matthew 25:14-30 unless you used your talents you cannot make it into the joy of the Lord, being the millennial kingdom, again a conditional promise to get it, or read Acts 14:22 as we must suffer much tribulation in order to make it into the kingdom, another conditional attached to making it into the millennial kingdom of heaven. Again read the warnings of why Christians will not make it into that millennial kingdom in 1 Cor. 6:9-10 & Galatians 5:19-21 & Ephesians 5:3-5 as a result of living a godless lifestyle, you lose your inheritance of entering into the millennial kingdom of God, in order to rule and reign for a thousand years. As concerning your topic of the man child teaching us all things, that prophecy is for the coming of Elijah in Malachi 4:5-6 it is not the ministry of the man child. I hope this explains conditional promises.

Why do we allow poverty when it is something that we , as humans , could quite easily solve if we wanted to ?
  • Grae - In Reply on Psalms 23 - 4 years ago
With respect and affection dear Chinita . We all doubt ourselves sometimes , this is part of being human . To increase your faith u must try to build a strong bond with your God . This is done by reading His word and understanding it to the best of your ability and believe it . That's what faith is , belief . To have faith in God is to believe His word as preserved for us in the Bible , old and New testament . The whole Bible is full of accounts of our God's dealings and interactions with ordinary people just like u and me . Become familiar with these narratives , make friends with these people . Here r some especially helpful scriptures , all of Hebrews Ch 11 , Mat Ch 9 V 22 , Mar Ch 5 V 34 , Mar Ch 10 V 52 , Luk Ch 7 V 50 , Luk Ch 17 V 19 and Luk Ch 18 V 42 . I think it's interesting to note that the word faith is never once used in the gospel account by John . The book of James is also a good one to read about faith , Romans Ch 10 V 17 and Romans Ch 14 V 23 . Mat Ch 17 V 20 and Luk Ch 17 V 6 always make me feel ashamed of my own small faith as I am unable to move a tree or a mountain . These r things that God has said will happen that haven't yet , Num Ch 14 V 21 , Gen Ch 13 V 14-17 ,Isaiah Ch 2 V 1-4 and Ch 65 V 17-25 , Ezekiel Ch 40 to Ch 48 , Rev Ch 11 V 15 and Rev Ch 21&22 . Do u believe that God will do what He says He will ? That is faith . Read your Bible , speak to God in prayer , honestly and openly and trust in His love for u . Give Him thanks every day for all the kind and generous ways in which He takes care of u . Draw closer to Him and He will draw closer to u .
