In chapter 21:17 Jehorams last and youngest son is Jehoahaz , but in chapter 22:1 it says his youngest son is Ahaziah? My questions are why are they listing two different people as his youngest son? The other question is if Jehoram was 32 when he became king and he reigned 8 years and died then that should make him 40 at his death. How could he have a 42 year old son that reigned after him? Thanks for any imput. Just for kicks I looked in a living bible and they list Ahaziahs age when he began his reign at 22 yrs old.

The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" ( John 3:16).

Jesus said, I came that they may have life and have it abundantly ( John 10:10)

We have all done, thought or said bad things, which the Bible calls "sin." The Bible says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" ( Romans 3:23).

The result of sin is death, spiritual separation from God ( Romans 6:23).

    What's the good news?

Jesus died in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever.

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" ( Romans 5:8)

But it didn't end with His death on the cross. He rose again and still lives!

Christ died for our sins. He was buried. He was raised on the 3rd day, according to the Scriptures" ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me" ( John 14:6)

We can't earn salvation; we are saved by God's grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is admit you are a sinner, that Christ died for your sins, and ask His forgiveness. Then turn from your sins-that's called repentance. Jesus Christ knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, your honesty. We suggest praying the following prayer to accept Christ as your Savior:

    Dear God,

I know I'm a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Did you pray this prayer? Your name is written in the Book of Life. Revelation 3:5

Pray to receive the Holy Spirit as your Teacher.

    Write down this date.

Imagine Jesus Christ filling up the universe! Imagine Him standing everywhere. Imagine if you can this prominence declaring you righteous! Never mind the flesh, it will only pull you back down!

This one who wishes he could do something about it. The fact that the savior conquered him at the cross will forever stand in his way, blocking him from the declaration that Christ died and removed the guilt. The guilt he uses to drag you back once again only to suffer you ! This, he endures too separate you and me from the truth!

The majesty of God. The glory revealed to those who love Him!

    Repent and be baptized

    Sister GiGi,

Amen. You are correct, Peter was human like all of us, and Jesus must have seen alot in Peter, as Jesus built his Church on Apostle Peter, (The Rock) and gives him "the keys to the kindom of Heaven" this scripture says it all!

    Matthew 16:15-19

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

    God Bless.

    1 Corinthians Chapter 2

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but THE SPIRIT which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

John 3, Jesus said we must be born again, to receive the HOLY SPIRIT,

living on the inside of us.

[you must speak these things openly, to receive them, openly]

    Be brave. Mishael

I do not mean to wound or be rude, but you are being lied to by "lying spirits".

The whole planet is in denial that "This End of the World"__Jesus Stuff__God is our Father__the World is going to burn up. etc. 2 Peter 3

You're afraid the Bible, which has survived 6000 years of opposition, Jesus's Crucifixion and Resurrection___might be Truth.

See, Isaiah 14 teaches that Lucifer (SATAN) is real. He hates God, Jesus, the Bible, Christians, and he KNOWS his end will be in the Lake of Fire. He wants TO HURT as many people he can who might possibly read a Bible and ask JESUS to come live in their hearts.

Satan sends out his lying spirits to shake your tiny faith and__take you to hell with him.

They did that to me. 20+years. I was suicidal. God reached down into the mess of my life and pulled me up; and showed me his Son. It took 2 years to learn how to get all those evil spirits out of my ears. If you choose Jesus and BELIEVE his story in the Bible: all those lying voices will just GO away.

ASK the Lord to help you. Tell Him what you need. I needed those things to stop telling me death is a fluffy blanket.

Read 1-2-3 John in the back of the Bible (in front of Revelation). Jesus is Your Advocate. Like a defense attorney. Whatever lies, doubts, confusion, chaos, rail to Jesus about you__Jesus will dismiss those charges for you. You will be free. Just like me. You will become strong inside.

These scriptures are for you too:

    Song of Solomon chapter 2:9, 6:3, 7:10

    He will never leave you.

  • WHATS HAPPENING IN OUR WORLD NOW - 4 years ago
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. Luke 17: 26-30

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:4-8,10-14

What are we to do when each day the news agencies report ever increasing threats of terror, hurricanes, cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis, droughts, fires, floods, famines, pestilences and wars in our world? Jesus gave us His advice in the verses of Matthew 24

    Matthew 24:8, Mark 13:8

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

We're going to see "earth pains" as Jesus compared it to the labor pains of a woman. We will get through this part; just hand on tightly to Jesus. Read the Gospels where he taught the disciples about it. (that's us).

Sometimes Nelson Walters teaches a little fast; but you might watch some of his "book of Daniel" end time teachings (on youtube).

We're going to witness nations rising up against other nations, on TV !! (Such as Russia taking over Ukraine) Or, Palestinian Nations attacking Israel. The USA is giving money to Israel's ENEMIES.

Let's do what Jesus said: PRAY for the Peace of Jerusalem!

EVANGELIZE lost people. Hang on to your JOY.

Hi Chris; I thank God that you have understood the Old Testament being different from the old covenant, as the differences between the two are many. You are very right about Christianity being mislead by Israel, as they have called Genesis to Deuteronomy the Torah and the Pentateuch, this is very wrong indeed for me as a Dr. of theology. One must realize that during the dispensation of the Old Testament only the book of Leviticus is the Torah, definitely not Genesis, as this book has three covenants found within it, Adamic, Noahic, Abramic, covenants. These three covenants have nothing to do with the Old Testament, also let us be clear in what we are saying when we speak of the major or minor prophets, these were written during the Old Testament dispensation, but they do not teach Old Testament laws or commandments on a whole, just as Psalms, proverbs, ecclesiastes, have nothing to do with the Old Testament. For this reason, I teach that the Old Testament as being destroyed on Calvary, but from the books written during that dispensation many prophesies have yet to come to pass, we these are still considered the will of God for today. It is true, I teach the New Testament as being broken into seven categories, one must look for each category in every book from Matthew to Revelation. then you will discover only that the least commandments are about twelve hundred, the doctrines as hundreds, the unconditional promises over fifty, the conditional promises over 200, the many prophecies, as well as faith without works and faith with works. Learning these seven categories helps someone to comprehend the will of God for the New Testament, while the will of God for the new covenant is only two greatest commandments, love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, meaning spirit, soul and body, and love your neighbor as yourself. Understand I am speaking in part as I have not explained what the least commandments are or the hundreds of doctrines, just overview

Dear Charles, I too have had horrible in the past anxiety and panic attacks. It's a terrible feeling. What I did was seek my general practitioner's help, and when I fell into the grip of a spell, I got busy doing something--housework usually and at one point critiquing creative writing lessons for a class. Anything to get your mind off the attack will go a long way. I will pray for you. Let me leave you with this verse, which speaks of being afraid but can relate to anything you are facing or experiencing. Psalm 56:3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

Hey Bro. Lyle Lee....Appreciate your posts...GBU.....But I was just thinking our Lord does not distinguish between 2 old Covenants or 2 Testaments...When he said in Luke 16 : 16 The Law and the Prophets were until John since that time. The Kingdom of God is preached and all men press into it....He was impling that they were 1 and the same....As the Law and the Prophets are 1 in his mind were The old Covenant....Plz give me your take on this....ty kindly...Alex

    As I just read your post I was just reminded 1st time I've ever noticed. 1 Kings 11:1-14, Proverbs 4:7, Ecclesiastes 7:12, 1 Kings 4:34, Deuteronomy 7:3-4,

Did his son lose respect because of what he witnessed his father Solomon doing? Did he think of that generation as hypothetical? Because of action?

Then I just thought of Now generations. I believe the young generation that says "ok, boomer" to the oldest generation has watched the results of Abortion, that started during the Oldest generation's "WATCH" not correcting the next generation.

Then the generation X, (did it derive name because they were 1st legal abortion babies?) were & are treated with scorn, disregard, disrespect & often cruelly from those establishments hypothetically calling themselves "church" even robbed their parenting rights, from those same people who were pushing others even own children to abort living heirs?!!

Now oldest generation telling Millenials & Gen Z's to "work to help pay for their retirements"?/? How can children respect if no one shows them how?

Please pray about how you can heal, help, encourage, uplift those younger Generations because love, examples & truth in real faith will help.

With love my brother, in CHRIST

Please read 1611 tab information on this site.

If you do Web search (king-james-bible-most-popular ) or type that information

There's an interesting article that explained even it's impact on culture & USA when Colonized.

I've seen in one article that the printing was reduced to save costs.

Saur a German American also produced a Bible USA 1743-1776, including half of the Apocrypha [gruber] amazing German & England/Ireland influence include Apocrypha in early English translations. I'm very interested in this too because it's only been a few years that I have even been aware these books were seemingly removed from our Bible translations. This site has many books in the Apocrypha that point to Jesus as Messiah & strengthen faith. Give wisdom Ecclesiasticus

I trust the HOLY Spirit will give us Wisdom & teach us, James 1:5, John 14:26,

    Hopefully this is helpful

Hello all grace children in Jesus Christ. Now it is so that I have wondered about this and it was interesting to read everything, you all have shared. Just a little thought: When I was new on the road with Christ, I thought we should have had more delights in scripture not to get confused!

One day not so long ago we got a reference to Leviticus 5:17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he knew it not, yet he is guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

So it helped little and "try" and follow a law. It was unfair and misleading.

Now we can rejoice that the world has moved forward! But we still have a responsibility as big as anything. Namely, the Kingdom of the Holy Spirit which gave words from this morning. Acts Chapter 5. Surely no one has overlooked Peter's words in the First Verses?

We believers have only righteousness and point out, for we can not, shall not lie to the Holy Spirit. Although it is something we understand and not everything has been shed light on yet. We will hopefully learn and understand piece and divided. Stay in The peace of God.

Blessed be all in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.

    Hello,

    1. Yes I believe in some ways our faith may be considered more complicated because they being with Jesus " physically " John 3:12, John 14:11, yet scripture says : 2 Chronicles 20:20, we have so many accumulated testimonies, prophecy fulfilled, the written WORD of GOD from many generations past in many ways we have all that to help build upon our faith. Then we have personal experiences & witness of miraculous events in our present days & years. I believe it's powerful to see the biblical text, New & Old Tstm & imagine the future with the stacked testimonies & understanding time accumulates more information. When the days of tribulation come the stacked accounts with all scripture will be that much bigger. GOD is amazing. I realized the other day the wealth of faith building information at our reach. I told a young man, "Yes, these days are difficult but we have so much to draw from". & GOD in HIS infinite wisdom gives each generation what they need. Romans 10:17, John 20:29,

    2. Luke 23:43, I guess it applies to today to yes prove "nothing is impossible with GOD" Luke 1:37, & possibly to encourage us that it's not too late to repent, in dying moment.

Next. (?) Interesting observation. Matthew 4:12, Matthew 23:37, GOD gives people many chances to do good. Mark 6:20, Mark 6:19-31, read though, Mark 6:32-46, did Jesus even take time to mourn? It seems HE went to take a moment, yet compassion moved HIM to minister.

    At 1st read I had thought you asked about Peter & Paul comparison of Peter released & Paul was not, also same "(charges) Acts 12:5-17, Acts 21:30-40, - Acts 22, - Acts 23, - Acts 24, - Acts 25, - Acts 26, - Acts 27,-, Acts 28,

My emotion would want to say "all chains are evil" however Mark 5:3-20, Jude 1:6, 2 Peter 2:4,

GOD uses all for good , Psalms 105:17-25, Romans 8:28-30, while Paul was in prison he wrote letters that became an important part of our HOLY Bible today.

    3. James 1:5-8,

    Hope this helps

I see that Rehoboam consults the older advisors first-advisors who would have advised Solomon in his day.

Rehoboam listens to the younger generation. He forsakes that which is old and traditional and that which has previously brought prosperity to his ancestors.

My understanding is that the message here is that Rehoboam has strayed from the true course of rectitude.

It is not just that young people are not important for counsel; it is making plain that Rehoboam has chosen unwisely and listened to the wrong group of advisors.

Often, but not always, youthful men, caught up in their hormones, can foolishly make judgement that an older male would not do. Impetuosity and brashness are tamed with the thoughtful experience of past mistakes--- when one gets older and has had time to reflect on the foolishness and wisdom learned from a life well considered.

    I know. I've lived it.

    Praise him,

    -mbr
