  • Abortion is a ritual of those who choose death over Life - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 3 years ago
90% Americans do not recognize that child killing began way back in Old Testament.

I found history about it on YouTube, under the names of the false god the babies and children were sacrificed to.

Those ancient names are Moloch or Molech. You can read the history and see the paintings; which are hideous. The babies thrown into ovens, burned alive by satanic "priests".

The difference is now women feel empowered by "My Body, My Choice". Many stopped taking birth control when it was thought to cause strokes, physical problems, migraines, etc.

Abortion became the New Birth Control. They choose to not think that multiple abortions cause irreparable scar tissue in a womb.

Also it became the mantra for gay and lesbian groups.

Then we have to hear how difficult it is, they cannot conceive a baby naturally now.

We know that the innocent unborn souls were taken to heaven, to live there eternally with God. Whether they ever meet their mothers is another matter. Let's find peace in that. It's in Gods capable hands.

I am asking for prayer today for myself and my husband. And please keep my children, grandchildren and family in your prayers too. We all really need it so much. My mother has lipidema in her legs and she lost her husband about 5 years ago now. She lives by herself about 130 miles from me and it makes it hard for me to get to see her much. My heart breaks because of it. My mother in law has a bad heart and only 25 % of her heart is working. I was is in a bad place to and he needs Jesus to set him free. I don't get to see my children much because they all live in different towns far away from me. And my whole family is just torn apart. Please keep my grandmother's in you prayers too. One of my grandma is having trouble remembering her one husband of almost 70 years and it breaks my heart. I'm so.broken and really need these prayer! Thank you all and may the Lord bless you for all you do!

I agree with Daniel's post. There are indeed lists of sins throughout the Bible, but not organized in the way you describe which probably has catholic roots.

    Examples:

    1 John 2:16

    Mark 7:21-23

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10

    Galatians 5:19-21

    etc.

Link : original Greek meaning. Other languages use similar words meaning black, like Spanish, Latin, Romanian, and others.
  • Daniel - In Reply - 3 years ago
There is one single list in Scripture that comes to mind in response to your question: Proverbs 6:16-19.

The list should be self-explanatory and not require commentary.

You will not find a list of "seven deadly sins" delineated comprehensively in the Scripture; if I am not mistaken that is a fabrication of the Catholic church, if not an abstract "spiritual" principle present in pagan sects predating it.

What you will find in Scripture is that all sin, outside of Christ, is deadly... All sin can also effectively be traced back to one single sin, namely, the pride of man. Pride deceives us. Pride keeps us from beleiving God's word.

Conversely, all "righteousness" can be traced back to faith, and faith to humility. It was not without note that when Jesus' disciples asked him to increase their faith, he effectively responded to them, "increase *your* humility."

Simon was called Niger because he was a "black" man. The word Niger was in reference to his skin color.

Re. 2Jn. 1:10 = Contextually, the verb "receive" includes

    + agreeing with, and accepting the evil heresies and destructive purposes of the deceivers and antichrists;

    + welcoming them into your home;

    + showing hospitality to them by providing room and board in your home;

    + providing your home as their base of operations;

+ refreshing them in their travels.

+ providing them the rest and resources needed to continue their evil mission.

Contextually, the only aid and compassion believing Christians should show these evil heretics is witnessing to them the true "Doctrine of CHRIST" (v.9).

The verb "speed" translates from the Greek verb root (pronounced "KHAH-ee-ro"). "Chairo" always means active and exceeding joyfulness, rejoicing, and happiness. Apostle Paul used the same verb in his second epistle to the Corinthians ( 2Cor. 13:11): "Finally, brethren, farewell {Greek verb "chairo"}."

To "bib" these religious heretics "GOD speed" literally means "say to him" with well wishes.

Wishing "GOD speed" means the one voicing the wish desires heretics to achieve the highest possible results from their evil message and intentions. Their evil intentions pervert the "Doctrine of CHRIST" (v.9) resulting in the eternal destruction of the unfortunate gullible souls that swallow their deceptive delusions.

I was referring to your reference Romans 28:1 which is non-existent. So I then picked out Proverbs 28:1 & Philemon 1:8 as examples. So from the 1611 edition, 'bolde & lyon' are just old English spellings for the words we use as 'bold & lion'; no misspelling here, just 17th Century English. Some people prefer to read the Bible in that old English, but for me, the version we have now is fine & correct. Hope that helps you.

It's been raining lots in my area , so draught is not everywhere.

I think first repentance is needed , but many will not hear it .

Just recently the Supreme Court reverses the abortion law . And that's a very good thing .

But the animosity to the decision is amazing , just reveals how sick this world really is .

    Good Evening Giannis.

I am doing well, but dealing with difficult family members in the planning for my Mom's memorial and in matters of her estate.

Mom's the lucky one here, now away and unaffected from all this drama!

I hope my post was helpful to you. I wrote as I understand this topic. But I may be wrong. I hope you study it more. I am sorry I did not post any Scriptures. I hope you and others can search the Scriptures and see if what I say aligns with God's Word.

I am so thankful that you can explain Greek to us! it is very helpful.

I read the posts on here everyday. But, there have not been very many posts that I felt led to respond to. Most posts have been responded to well by others. so, my two cents worth isn't needed.

Have a good evening. Catch you tomorrow.

Why is it that people claim that until a baby breathes air it is not a living person? The verses that state God made us and that they are a gift from God are ignored because of Genesis 2:7.

Thank you for your patience and kindness.

    A Christian.

Many say, Who will make us see happiness? Bring on us the light of your face, O LORD!

You put in my heart more joy than they have when their wheat and their must abound.

I go to bed and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD! you give me security in my home.

Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them.Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them. For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation. All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the nee

Please pray for my son. He is not living for Jesus Christ. He was raised in the Baptist faith and he knows better than to live in sin. As a mom I will never give up praying he will come back to his first real love . Jesus. Also my mother is in late stage renal failure and has 40% heart output. Never smoked a day in her life. She struggles to breathe some days and it's really hard to watch. Please lift these precious folks to me in Prato God. Thank you, oh and I sure could use those prayers too.

Not sure what you meant by "it doesn't exist" because I read it from this site under the 1611 KJV just minutes before writing you.!

"The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bolde as a lyon."

Proverbs 28:1 (KJV) I just wanted to know if it meant something different then bold without the e. that's all. NOW I notice that the word lion is spelled lyon, why is this? I know the meaning of Lord or lord, or Him /him yet wanting to learn the proper ways of His word was simply wondering the purpose of the spelling or misspelling of these words. Is it a misprint or are there different meanings? Thnx & God bless "Texsis"
  • Chris - In Reply - 3 years ago
Hi Texsis. I couldn't place "bold" in that reference you gave (which doesn't exist of course), but the word does appear in Romans 10:20. Then in the 1611 Edition of the KJB, we can find "bolde" in a couple of verses ( Proverbs 28:1 & Philemon 1:8). In all these instances, the meaning remains unchanged, regardless of whether modern or olde English is read.

This topic is widely referred to or discussed in the Scriptures, but I'm unsure whether you're just wanting Scriptures relating to death or more specifically on the preparation to enter eternity. So here are a few Scriptures for you to look at:

    Psalm 49:6-15; Psalm 116:15; Daniel 12:1-3; John 11:19-26; Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:12-58; Revelation 21:4.

Beloved, suddenly its gloomy and difficult gospel of Jesus Christ us a reallity. He who died for of us all on the path of the cross. With His Blood once on the calvary. For all who accepted Him, He gave them the right to become children of God.

When the man goes beyond being a child, life begins to be sanctified. It's a whole new road.

Some are simple people. Others are children all their lives. Some will live a prayer life with the Holy Spirit. And some one settles for the church once a week. And is happy with that.

Yet all of Jesus believers are saved people.

And it's none of my business to judge who. But love each other with Jesus Cristi love.

Stay strong in the Living Word and Jesus Loves u all, i love u in Christ. God bless u

Hello John. We are not specifically told where James was when he wrote this epistle, but we do know that he was a recognized leader in the Jerusalem Church ( Acts 12:17; Acts 15:13; Acts 21:18 are verses alluding to James' position there). So it can be assumed, without certainty of course, that James penned this letter from Jerusalem & directed his message to the "twelve tribes scattered abroad" ( James 1:1), since he was already in Jerusalem.

And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained NOT WITHERED.

    Isaiah 5:6

And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

    Psalms 105:32

He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

    Proverbs 25:23

The north wind driveth away rain: so does an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

    Job 24:19

Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so does the grave, those which have sinned.

    Isaiah 55:10

    Proverbs 30:4

Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is HIS name, and what is his SON'S name, if thou canst tell?

    2 Chronicles 7:14

  • Giannis - In Reply on Matthew 18:20 - 3 years ago
Dear Susan, the greek text also says "two or three", and it means "two or more". Jesus said that if some believers (nomatter how many) gather in His name then He Himself is there among them. Maybe in Hebrew that Jesus was talking the expression is "two or three" and not "two or more". Different languages often use different expressions for the same meaning.

About the "Living Word" now, it is called living because it is alive in the sence that is works/acts in people's heart, it makes them repent and ask for God's forgiveness, it makes them want to change, it affects people and their lives and gives people the way to aquire eternal life. It is not just a theory, but it is a reality.

    Psalms

    Chapter 148

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.

3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

Nice to hear from you after a long time. I hope you are doing alright. How are you?

I read your post and it seems to be right but as I wrote to Doug I think I need some time to study this topic before making some final conclusions in my mind. I would also like to search and see what other denominations as well as other churches (born again and not) teach about that.

Nice to see you here again GiGi.

    The glory belongs to God.
