Do you think in Ezekiel was talking about it being from the north meaning heaven or just where his vision appeared from

Replying to Mr. Glenn comment, I don't know if you meant to say it is the Spirit never get old or older, and the Spirit never ages. The body do get old, and it does changes, the body houses the spirit, it is the body that changes on the outside, were the Spirit remain the same, Just like Our Creator, He never changes He always remain the same, and I pray to be just like Him on earth until He transition me home with Him, Amen. GOD Bless you. GOD IS LOVE.

Jim That's another interesting observation to me who said the clothing made for Adam and Eve was a lamb

its like who ever said they ate an apple, but again our imaginations try to speak louder than scripture to our

detriment. When we elevate our natural based thinking and apply to scripture then we start well maybe God

mean't this or that when in reality that's questioning what it states and working by assumption instead of

letting Gods Word speak for itself. There are many things written that are in the category of we DON"T KNOW

and why were not supposed to. But we do know 2 Timothy 3:16+17 and that says a lot.

Grace These are things deemed by the Lord as unclean for a specific reason, many things that were written in the

law because He's God and always had a beneficial purpose for His laws. Also many forbidden practices he knew were

pagan practices. I've never read the book of maccabees.

The parable of the sower and his precious seed is the Word spoken unto us as in Matthew 13....And in Psalms 82 David said I have said ye are Gods which is the result of the words Jesus is gonna speak unto us..( When the book is opened )the seeds of the sower are th very seeds of God...Thats y Jesus is saying to whom his words came it made them Gods....Simply b/c we are all gona be married to God that great marriage of the lamb and God, As a young man marries a virgin shall thy sons ( THE H.G. ) marry thee and as the bridgegoom rejoices over the bride so shall thy GOD rejoice over thee, a marriage is when 2 are made 1 as Christ and the Church.. As Jesus made his spit ( his Words ) 1 with the ground humanity the Church whosoever will..... When Daniel saw the words of wonder, God told him that these words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end....No salvation or kingdom can come till the woman births the Children as in Rev 12 : 10 kjv...Now is come salvation and the Kingdom of our God and the POWER OF HIS CHRIST ( HER BABY ) WHICH IS THE H.G...The manchild that is gonna rule all nations...The spirit of truth that Jesus said was gonna reprove the whole world of sin and righteousness and judgement .

You may find what you're looking for in Genesis 1:1. In the beginning Elohim created the heaven and the earth.

Elohim is used in the plural form.

Genesis 1:26. And Elohim said, Let "US" make man in "OUR" image, after "OUR" likeness: The us and our being used here is embodied in the Elohim. They're not angels. Angels did not assist in making man but the word of God did!!

John 1:1-3. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Elohim is used throughout until you get to Genesis 3:21. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the "LORD God" make coats of skins, and clothed them.

After he made coats of skin from that day forward I believe he uses the covenant name LORD GOD "YHWH ELOHIM."

In Genesis 3:15. we come to the seed of the woman. That's a reference and title to the Lord Jesus Christ. The term itself is a contradiction Biologically and according to the Hebrew grammar. Biologically the seed is of the man. BUT JESUS WASN'T CONCEIVED BY MAN!! Jesus wasn't tied to Adam genetically. He was the 2nd Adam directly out of the bosom of the Father, meaning out of Everlasting. He's part of the Elohim.

In the Hebrew Genealogies the seed always referenced the man but Jesus Genealogy links directly to God. That's why it doesn't say seed of Adam.

In the Torah Moses referred you to him.

    Deuteronomy 18:18-19.

    Acts 7:37-38.

And this is how Jesus refer to himself,

Revelation 1:8. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

As Moses said, "Like unto me, Hear you him.

    God bless.

Apologies Billy. I read your comment to Adam in a different way.

You're correct, Jesus' Name is not seen there in John 1:1-14, but who then is John the Apostle writing about? I can't think of anyone else that fits that description. John wrote about the Word of God: that which was with God & God Himself (v1). This Word was involved in creation (vv3,10) - notice John begins to use a pronoun (He, Him) describing this Word. In this Word was both Life & Light (v4). When John the Baptist arrived on the scene, he bore witness of that Light (v7). That Word Who was with God & was God, was made a man & lived the life of a man (v14). That Word came to His Own people but they rejected Him (v11), but those who received Him were made sons of God (v12). These are not separate accounts; this whole passage is consistent in its subject matter & implications.

This passage of Scripture is talking about God's Word. It's not about Apostle John or John the Baptist, or anyone else. The only Person Who could fit the bill is God's Word, Jesus Christ: He is the only One Who could be the giver of Life & Light & be the Creator of all things (also Colossians 1:15-17). He is the Only One Who could ask His Father ( John 17:5: "O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I HAD WITH thee before the world was."). He is the only One Who could state ( John 6:38: "For I CAME DOWN from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me."). And He is the only One Who could tell the Jews ( John 8:58: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM.").

I always wonder how folk consider these verses that I've shared here. I'm sure Jesus is not lying to us by saying those things. Do people read those verses as I do or in some other way that I'm missing? Or, should we determine that since the incarnation is 'impossible', therefore all these Scriptures are meaningless? Even if Christ's Deity is hard to understand, we can't simply reject it.

In Gal. 3 : 16....Now unto Abraham and his seed were the Promises made, But he said not unto seeds plural but unto 1 seed which is Christ...Thus its Christ that is gonna be multiplied as the stars of Heaven via his seed the words of the book That he wrote with his own blood. ..That New Covenant...I will know them ALL from the least to the greatest and this Knowledge is when he knows US resulting in a spritual pregnancy impling multiplcation of HIS SEED ETC...The Promise...Smite the sheppard and the sheep will be scattered,Then I will turn my hand to the little Ones,The babes and the Sucklings that are gonna praise God perfectly...The H.G are the little Ones...As that which is born of the spirt are Spirits.....Thats the Children of Promise that are gonna be born in us via his seed...Thats y he has to know US....Jesus is not impotent he has a seed to sow in humanity...HIS WORDS ARE HIS SEEDS...They don't refer to JESUS as the bridegroom for nothin.

Gerald Veira Paul heart was convinced to go to jerusalem to witness to his fellow jews under the law

but that was not what the spirit was saying because he almost lost His life there. Look at Acts 21:4 and Pauls

still headed there and again Agabus who was point blank then Paul says he's ready to die at Jerusalem sounds

good but not the will of God that's why the believers around stopped in verse 14 saying do the will of the lord

the will of the lord was NOT TO GOD TO JERUSALEM. He had to escape with the help of other believers to save

his life. A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.
  • Alex N - 4 years ago
There are many scriptures that point to the deity of Christ like John 17 :5 When Jesus prayed Father Glorify thou me with thine Own Self, even with the GLORY i had with you b/f the world was ....But in Gen.1 : 14 The FATHER commands that everything has to multiply after its kind..( Its seed ) And the parable of the sower points to a seed that is the very seed of God, To whom the WORD ( HIS SEED ) came it made them Gods....As Jesus said that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit which is the H.G As God is spirit and life....Which is the very essence of God that results from his Seeds the living word....So we see that Christ is gonna reproduce after the God kind ( spirits ) the H.G. As the stars of heaven...which is the Israel of God The multiplication of God in humanity after all that was the great Promise

People's Bible Notes for Acts 20:22

    Commentary

"I go bound in the spirit. Urged by a sense of duty, yet knowing from the premonitions of the Holy Spirit that bonds and afflictions awaited him at Jerusalem."

    Acts 21:12-14

12 And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.

    13

Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

28 Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man [Paul] that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.

Verse 30: Paul is kicked out of Church and later beaten by the Jews.

Acts 21:22 Jesus sends Paul to the Gentiles.

Acts 26:17 Paul's Ministry to the Gentiles

    John 10:30

I and my Father are one.

    Wesley's Notes for John 10:30

I and the Father ARE ONE. Not by consent of will only, but by unity of power, and consequently of nature ARE.

This word confutes Sabellius, proving the plurality of persons: one - This word confutes Arius, proving the unity of nature in God.

Never did any prophet before, from the beginning of the world, use any one expression of himself, which could possibly be so interpreted as this and other expressions were, by all that heard our Lord speak.

Therefore if he was not God he must have been the vilest of men.

    John 14:10

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth IN ME, he doeth the works.

    Wesley's Notes for John 10:30

I and the Father ARE ONE. Not by consent of will only, but by unity of power, and consequently of nature ARE.

This word confutes Sabellius, proving the plurality of persons: one - This word confutes Arius, proving the unity of nature in God.

Have you been born again? It is JESUS who baptized us with the in-dwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT. It's his job to Teach us what each scripture means. We ask, and the Holy Spirit quickens the answer to our born again spirits; or tells us which scripture to read.

    1 Corinthians 18:21

For the preaching of the cross is to them that PERISH is foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

    1 Corinthians 2:14

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

You may need to re-dedicate your life to God.

I desperately beg for others to pray for me because I'm having a crisis of faith. I suffer from severe depression and autism and before I got my faith in Jesus Christ, I was suicidal and had a nihilistic view of the world. When I got my faith I never felt so joyful and content in my life and I changed for the better but now I'm starting to lose faith ultimately because I'm terrified that I'm learning wrong stuff from the Bible and disappointing Jesus. If I lose my faith, I know I'm going to revert back to my old self and I can't deal with it again. I'm humbly and desperately beg for prayers so Jesus can bring me back since I can't do it myself.

Hello Kami, I think the word dog in this case is slang for a type of sinner.

If you look up a verse on its own dedicated page then look under the commentary sometimes it reveals useful information. In this case it offered a cross reference to Revelation 22:15 which is another example use of the word dogs. So, its likely not talking about pets. I think God made pets to be our friends.

  • THE GODHEAD SCRIPTURES are PROOF - In Reply - 4 years ago
Romans 1 is the one chapter that mentions GODHEAD. We cannot separate them. God, Jesus's Father

Jesus the Word that SPOKE creation into existence.

The Holy Spirit who performed it. He is also the Spirit of Christ.

GODHEAD. The scriptures that prove it.

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. These scriptures are evidence of all 3 persons of the Godhead speaking to each other.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD so that they are without excuse:"

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

All working together. Jesus came to show us the Father, as Emmanuel.

    Matthew 1:23

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US. [Jesus]

1 Corinthians 12:1-31 explains all the gifts, titled, administrations that God gives to the Church that Jesus has planted on earth Now.

Those that He calls, he anoints for the work. Luke 4:18. The Bible says the gifts and callings are without revocation. If we try to operate without the Holy Spirits anointing; we will not bear good fruit. Can even become apostate.

It's not something to treat carelessly. The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ. All parts of the Body are connected to the HEAD, Jesus.

Is buying a dog (puppy) a sin. I am understanding that deuteronomy 23:18 is referring to a male prostitute. Is this correct ? I understand that dogs were put here on earth as, in not better words, clean up crew of dead, like the vulture. But does that forbid me to own one ? I've owned and loved dogs my entire life and I was recently told that buying, selling, and owning a dog is a sin. Im confused and scared that I have sinned my entire life over a dog, which I did not know about. Many best friend, other than the Lord is now a sin? This could be devastating to many people i know if true. Please explain in detail the true meaning iof this

But if you can find Jesus in that verse , we need a 7 year old to read and explain it .

Hi Billy, if you read the thread it will probably make more sense. To make a point I used his own words against his own position so perhaps it would be recognized as such. He came up with an arbitrary expectation which I believe is based on a logical fallacy and demonstrated that the same expectation can be used against his position. I believe scripture means exactly what it says and usually doesn't require advanced mental hurdles in order to know what it means. Children can read and understand. I think Occam's razor applies. God will also provide understanding to those who seek Him.

In Acts 20:16 we read, "For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost." He wanted to be there for Pentecost (Hebrew: Shavuot - or Feast of Weeks). Paul determined to go, nothing stopping him, even despite the warning of the prophet Agabus ( Acts 21:10-14). Paul wanted to meet with the Jerusalem brethren & no doubt to use that celebration time to be a witness for Christ - but knowing that this might well be his last journey & his undoing.

God's love is never forced upon any one. He will let people reject His call and allow people to make their own decision. He is not willing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

It is your choice and no one will force you, least of all the Lord Jesus Christ. Our prayer is as the Lord's desire is - that all will be saved.
  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hello Rick. You've raised too many issues here to properly deal with, so I might just throw in a few things.

You wrote: "If I'm gonna take a chance of worshipping another God...". There is no other God - God is One God, none beside Him & Who will not give His Glory to another ( Isaiah 42:8). If Jesus was a separate creation, a product of human sexual union, & you worshipped Him, then yes, you & I should fear worshipping another god. But this Jesus to whom you have given worship & made petition, did not enter the world by that means, but from within God's Being. John 8:42, Jesus said: "If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me." The word used here for 'proceeded' & 'came from', is 'ek or ex'= to come out of, meaning that Jesus is stating that His coming was from within God, that it was God's Initiative to send Him & not His.

Yet your pressing search is for the mention of Jesus in the Torah. I'm not sure why, since the Jews themselves will search not only the Torah, but the Prophets, & the Writings for their Messiah. If we remember this aspect of Jewish history: Israel was a special people; they were still sinners before God; God provided a sacrifice system to appease Him & keep Israel always conscious of their sins; this sacrifice would continue until the coming Messiah, Who would become God's only acceptable Sacrifice to redeem them. But what happened? What was written about God's Provision was given to Israel in the Tanakh (TNK) (T=Torah; N=Neviim; K=Ketuvim) ( Luke 24:44), but they could not see it/they could not discern the messages (right from Genesis 3:15). No, we don't see Jesus' Name in the Torah or anywhere else in the OT; Jesus only became Jesus at His Birth ( Luke 1:31,32); but we see God in the whole Bible & His Plan to bring HIS Salvation to all. We could ask, 'why did God bring forth a human (a Son) to be sacrificed? Wouldn't a perfect spotless lamb made by Him suffice?'
