Would not eat any unclean thing ? Is this in reference to following a false doctrine ? What is the meaning to that verse? Curious oceansoflove!!!
The word Trinity is a word that humans have created for and explain the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is nothing to worry about to begin with really. These three are One and the same. Only in different forms.
The doctrine of Jesus Christ is most important for Jesus Christ came to abolish the law. Grace lies in the fact that no human could fulfill the law as God wanted. This is heavy study. And not for ppl who have started too read.
Therefore, Father in Heaven who is a Good Father had to send His Own Son in His place. And Jesus in turn would send the Advocate to us the Holy Ghost.
And please do not start now with the law. Since Jesus repealed the law, it is no longer in use. For all Christians on this created earth have the law in their hearts. We know when we have done something wrong, the Holy Spirit explains to us. Please read NT first and fill u with the Thru.
And follow the instructions so you can go deeper into the scriptures and study for edification and the Holy Spirit will explain all things to you.
God Bless u with understanding in His Holy Name Jesus Christ.
I will pray for your marriage tonight.
Lord Jesus
We lift up Serena and her husband to You asking You to intervene and restore their marriage. Fill both Serena and her hisbsnd with love for You and for each other. Lord, preserve their marriage through this difficult time. Take away the hurt and negative things that have damaged their relationship.
Be with their children during this time. Keep them from ill effects of the discord on the family.
Jesus, I know You can create a loving relationship for Setena and her husband, do we are trusting You with this request

Shall we ask a 7 yr old what it says and go with it ?
Lord Jesus
I ask
That You bring Joseph and his brother into a reconciled relationship. May his brother desire this reconciliation and it come to Pass soon.
I pray that Joseph be given grace to believe in You Jesus, so that he can know that he is saved by You. May his life with You grow day by day as he reads your word and seeks you in prayer each day. Give him a spiritual mentor to walk with him as he grows up
In You , Lord
We ask this in Your name. Jesus
Amen
Is Kevin Your husband?
It
Is true that Constantine did overlay Christian celebrations on top of pagan festivals and there was a mixing of practices.
I agree that this was not a good thing to do. The reasons my was in hopes that pagans would have an easier time converting if the celebrations had some similarities with what they were used to.
Then as today,
The cause of Christ suffers when we think we can win people through appealing to
Their flesh ( think "seeker-friendly watered down preaching and "entertainment" style I'd worship services.)
That said, much of what the church council of Nicea affirmed was actually good, but some of the decisions contributed to the Romamizing of the Christian faith.
I just suggest that people can look into the churches history with an open mind without preconceived bias positive or negative and discover what was done right and what was done wrong. It is the same today, the present situation is wrought with problems and errors, but there is still much good that is happening within Christendom and we should wish to support and speak well of Christ's church in all ages, but also Point out how the church has not upheld the truth or compromised or erred.
And there is err in all arenas of Christendom, not just in the Roman Catholic Denomination.
I could pick apart many denominations also nf with the RCC but I do not wish to

For me, I always recommend reading the gospels first do one can become familiar
With the life, deeds, words, and person of Jsus as a first thing. He is the he central person if our faith and all of Scripture is really about and for Him as it points to
him, as He said to the Pharisees.
God's instruction show a shrewdness, a guise to go for three days, when the real plan is to leave permanently. God promises to do wonders that He describes as a strike against Egypt. So His wonders will be devastating for Egypt, but the Israelites will be spared any harm.
It says so in Rev. 1:7
Rev 1:7
Scripture dos not giv a cause of death for Moses. So, he d
Simply died. Heather his last breath, heart stopped. He was ready and entrusted himself into God's hands and will. I tend to think it was painless. Or, as some have speculated, lie Enoch and Elijah, he was translated. But I don't think that as it says hat Michael and the evil foggy over Moses' body-Michael won! So perhaps his body didn't decay but he mediate lay got his glorified body-as he appears body with Nesus and Eljah at the Transfiguration.
Google J vernon mcgee on Ezekiel 38.
he does a good job on Ezekiel.
or perhaps someone here can help.
God bless.
When we know the lawgiver; grace sets us free. We have an indication of the literal and spiritual descendants ruling and reigning in Zion; whether on earth during the Millennium; or when the heavenly city comes to earth afterwards and all are in eternal bodies. The Old Testament saints such as David will rule and reign; and certainly the Apostles as well; as this group likely constitutes the 24 elders in Revelation 4:10. The Lord will surely restore the earth in fullness when He returns as v. 15 states. He who is trusted in earthly things can be assured authority over heavenly ( Luke 16:11); this and many other similar admonitions encourage us to trust that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him ( Hebrews 11:6).
While there he noticed a bush burning with fire but not being consumed. Moses noticed and drew near to examine this unusual phenomenon. God was present in the flames. Now that is a sovereign God! The one who creates the fire can be within it and not perish! God calls to Moses twice, like he did to Abraham and others. "Moses, Moses!" Moses answers, "Here I am." Did Moses know that it was God calling him?
The text says that the Angel of the Lord appeared as a flame of fire in the midst of the bush. Is this really an angel or is it the pre-incarnate Son of God? The voice tells Moses to take off his shoes and not to come any nearer. God said he was standing on holy ground because God was present in this place. Do we notice the holiness of God's presence when we worship and He draws near to us?
God identifies Himself as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This is how the Israelites would have known God.
Moses hid is face as he was afraid to look upon God. Was tis Moses' first encounter with God? God explains that He has heard the Israelites' cry and seen their oppression. God waited until just the right time to deliver them and bring them back to the promised land of Canaan.
But God says he is going to send Moses to deliver them. How surprised Moses must have been to find this out.. Moses is humble, not thinking that he could possibly be the right person for such a task. He must have thought,
Do you believe Jesus is Lord and died for you for the hope of salvation?
John 5:22-24 these verses might be interesting to read.
You said that John 1:1 doesn't say Jesus is God, but it does. I broke it down before, but it seems we are not on the same wavelength.
There are many verses saying Jesus is God in various ways, but no where in the Bible anywhere does it say Jesus is not God. Not only that but Jesus never once said He was not God. So, it seems unusual to arrive at such a conclusion with no evidence for it and with all the evidence for the opposite.
Have you carefully read the whole chapter of John 1?
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Since you don't think the Word is Jesus, who else do you think the Word is?
Who else do you think fits that description of being sent to earth in the flesh, to live among us, and to die on the cross for our sins?
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
John 3:28 John said "I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him."
Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
That clear sign along with the voice made it obvious that Jesus was He.
John 1:29 John acknowledges it is Jesus: Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
John 1:36 "And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!"
Do you believe Jesus is the Lamb of God as it says?
The next chapter Matt 4:7 Jesus is tempted and says to satan: Jesus said unto him, It is written again, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." There again Jesus refers to Himself as Lord and God. Do you agree?
Do you believe these scriptures?
Welcome to the site.
God bless.
is the epitome of what God in Christ desired for man. For by grace are we saved through faith and that not of
ourselves it is the Gift of God. No works of the law in other words we can't do any thing good enough to
deserve it or walk by it that is the grace.
Quoting you.
"I do agree that It makes perfect sense to send his only son to slaughter, to atone for our sins." End Quote.
It seems you know a lot about the new testament already, And you know a lot about what to reject.
May I ask is this merely a challenge in a rhetorical way?
She might have thought the way he was dressed that he was a Jew. Jews and Samaritan's did not fellowship together, or draw water for each other. She was surprised that Jesus even spoke to her.
She gave him a drink and through the Word of knowledge, Jesus told her all the events/truths of her life.
As a result she runs back to her neighborhood and tells what happened. The town goes back with her and Jesus preaches the good news to them. They all get saved__by believing in what he said.
Jesus was quizzed by the Disciples for even speaking to her and the others. Jesus was sent to "the House of Israel" first. Jesus explained that he was sent to the world. Jews and Gentiles did not mix cultures. Kind of like today with the disputes between whites vs non-whites.
Only the LIFE of Jesus living in His believers and followers__can bring HEALING TO THE NATIONS.
Matthew 28:19.
Just in the New Testament, are 37 scriptures on the word Nations. That's who we all are. Separation began at the Tower of Babel.
We shall know THE TRUTH and the Truth WILL set us free. Now that Jesus has made all people eligible to receive Salvation; and we receive it into our lives__we are to take the Healing of the Nations into ourselves First. After conversion we are to Take Healing To the Nations (all peoples regardless of religion, race or unbelief). The TREE OF LIFE, which is Jesus Christ: the fruit is for the Healing of the Nations.
After knowing what the will of God is, through Jesus Christ; we must embrace and REPRODUCE the God kind of Love.
Perfection, is AGAPE love. It's the Holy Spirits job to produce that within us. All of our predjudices must be left at the foot of the Cross.
We do this only by trust, and faith in Jesus to perfect our faith. Is the Power of His Love strong enough? How much of us are we willing to surrender? There will be some pain in dying to Self.
Having lived & ministered in India & Pakistan, these identifiable aspects were often at the forefront. Because over there, it wasn't just the conversation that was important, but also knowing a person's background & family roots helped in what was being discussed. Maybe this woman at the well picked up some of these clues from Jesus.
