Hello Brothers and Sisters, I ask that you pray for my family and myself. I was caught up in sin that I felt so far away from God. It is not a good feeling because you feel miserable. I asked him to forgive me. I just ask that you pray for me in my journey with Christ. I wish to get closer and closer to him.

    Dear E. I will pray.

Lord Jesus, help these young children each day. Envelope them in Your love and grace. Keep them safe and unaffected by the treatment by their mother. We ask these in your name Jesus, Amen.

Rick, I quoted John 20:22. So I will stick with that, as the Holy Spirit indwells believers, as the disciples were at that time.

There is no where in Scripture that says that regeneration only happened after Pentecost. But John 20:22 does indicate it. As in Genesis, God spoke and it came to be at the speaking of His word. So it is in John 20:22. He gave the Holy Spirit to His disciples when He spoke and breathed. Just as in Genesis when God breathed into Adam, Jesus breathed the

Spirit into the disciples, I believe.

There is nothing to say that they received the Spirit at a later date. In Acts chapter 1, Jesus said that they will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them, but it does not say they did not already have the Spirit in them nor did it say that they would be saved by the Spirit coming upon them. Don't you think that Jesus would have said that they became believers or saved if that is what happened when the Spirit came upon them? It would seem that that would be an important thing to distinguish since He told the apostles to make disciples and baptize them.

Anyway, you asked me a question and I have answered even though it seems you have moved on from your recent post to me.

    Hi Catherine, blessings

It is the best thing to know Jesus our Lord!

I do have one comment about your post.

You said that God put part of himself in Jesus ( or something close to that)

My understanding is that God cannot be divided into portions or parts ( though He is three persons, but one essence)

So, I believe that 100% of the Son of God incarnated into the person if Jesus. This means Jesus was 100% Gid's Sin and 100% human man.

Perhaps you were trying to say that. I am not sure.

    Hi Ronald

I agree that we need to ready ourselves for the coming trials.

I mentioned recently to my pastor's wife (a dear friend) that we should be training our children up to be mature not Bible School buddies knowing what may lie ahead for them.

Studying the lives of the martyrs should be encouraged and we should be aware of how and where Christians are being persecuted and martyred today.

You are right, we need to have a faith that is tough enoughbtobendure many hardships, trials, etc . As the apostles and believers of the early centuries.

May we all be strengthened and made bold in these times

Thank you all for your prayers last time.

Please pray that we would all fall in love with the Lord more and more each moment. Please pray that our work for Him is not done merely because of obedience but out of our love for Him.( Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.)

Pray that God would restore unto us all the joy of our salvation. ( Psalms 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.)

And Please pray that God would give me the courage to stand up for my faith, and give me the courage to tell others about the Lord.

    Thank you all so much

What does the Dove symbolize? It describes the nature of Jesus Christ ministry. A peaceful loving ministry. A ministry of love. The love where he laid down his life for those who look to him for guidance and strength. When he was being put to death he said forgive them for they know not what they do. Luke 23:34

Jim Then explain to me 1 Corinthians 15:54+55 death is swallowed up in victory and Jesus Christ who always

did the fathers will healed all that believe and raised the dead. In the old testament if you say God lifted His

hand of protection and grace due to not following his commandments and that allowed the adversary to do what

does that's one thing because as long as Israel obeyed Him they weren't touched but when they walked away

from him His hand was lifted and calamity resulted not Gods Fault same happened in Eden when Adam and Eve

disobeyed calamity resulted because of unbelief not keeping his commandment. God is the author life but when

man disobeys he is subject to the consequences of the god of this world the adversary.

You know, I was thinking about that this afternoon how the questions that come up seem to repeat around some recurring ideas. I don't think that is good or bad. It is just what happens in an organic forum like this.

My thoughts this afternoon was that perhaps the site admin could scoop up all the posts on these recurring themes and put them in some "folder" on the topic that does not get deleted so people can read the discussions over time, not just the last 72 hours as it is on the topics pages.

That way, we can refer folks to the extensive conversations without needing to repeat what has been posted before.

I hear what you are saying about end gimes. We should be aware and watchful, being ready for our Lord. However, when I read the epistle letters, the emphasis is more on doctrine and how we are to live in community than info on end times.

So I thin balance is in order, we are ready and watchful, but also about the task of building one another up in the most holy faith, supporting and equipping evangelists and those who are to share the gospel as a living, raising our families up in the fear and admonition of the Lord, and living a quiet, godly life in this wicked generation.

The little one needs help, sleep issues, does not eat properly, so emotional, sad because her mom is aloof and does not show love and is often verbally and emotionally abusive. We all need healing. We all need more of Jesus. Please pray for protection, help and guidance. Thank you.

  • THE BODY OF CHRIST - 4 years ago
    I wish everyone look through 20-40 pages of Past Room History and count how many comments were about: Sabbath, Water Baptism or dates of Jesus's birth or death;

There are a lot of end time events happening today. They coincide with events in Daniel, some minor prophets, what Jesus, Peter, Paul, John the Beloved spoke of.

Israel is barely 10 miles wide. Joggers can run it forward and back every day; if not for tunnels, drones, snipers, etc. Things the Jews dig up almost every day. Do we pray for their wonder and excitement to find that maybe Jesus is/was their Messiah? The Palestinians are searching for the Mahdi to be revealed? They hemorrhage on YouTube every day, which group is going to fight another group and then March on Israel.

These are (wars and rumors of wars). We'd do well to keep an ear to the ground. Tracking earthquakes, disasters, financial shifting, are other SIGNS.

We are admonished to watch and pray, be looking up; be ready (10 virgins) AND TO SPOT THE SIGN: the Temple Built, and a world leader sitting on the Throne of David.THE ABOMINATION of DESOLATION.

Take Syria. Word says they will be totally destroyed to the ground. China and Russia may use the restored Silk Road for trade, ship oil or troops.

There are so many other inspiring stories in the Bible. Like when Nehemiah rebuilt the walls. Those things parallel to Intercessory Prayer; watch towers; spiritual warfare. I always try to make sure I keep my eye on Jesus who is interceding for the Saints. Do we truly Love Him well?

    Feed My Sheep. John 21:14-22

Jesus is asking all of us that same question.

I say this with great humility and soberness: Jesus says, feed my sheep; carry my lambs in you arms of prayers. Lift up the fallen. The body of Christ is separated from the Head. Let's get connected. Anything we do for self__is FLESH.

If I offended anyone, I'm not going to stroke any egos (including mine). Lift up Jesus.

As far as you know that couple wasn't doing anything wrong but let us be careful concerning what God sees. Most of the people didn't know what David did but the Lord God did. People loyal to David would have backed up David much the same way you backed up this couple. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying their baby died for anything they did or didn't do, I'm saying we need to be very careful speaking for God. Consider Jobs friends. They thought they were defending God but He accuses them of not being correct. The thing is God is in full control of this world and can give or take life as he sees fit.

There is one place where God took many lives, old people, middle age, young and children. Gen 6:7

    Another place is Gen 19:24-25

    Thanks for your time.

Very good observations, Richard. The World, both political & religious, are edging closer each day to what the Bible foretells will happen one day. We shouldn't be surprised - but remain alert.

The sons of Korah had a dark history when the earth swallowed those directly involved in the rebellion in Numbers 16 where 250 were swallowed up by the earth and apparently went to hades immediately and while still alive. There could certainly be a recognition of the fate by the author who apparently at the very least was sympathetic to what happened. In regard to the text; where he says he is in the lower parts of the earth (v.6); and the hopelessness personally expressed here as in no other section of scripture it is certainly conceivable that he had a real revelation of hell. Such torments as listed in the Parable of Lazarus and the rich man

(starting in Luke 16:20) illustrate an account of an individual still in hell today from real life who is the nameless rich man. Such is the situation of the lost after death and this chapter should be enough to scare someone straight to repentance realizing there is no hope apart from Christ. Sadly; though when the rich man sought for someone to be raised from the dead he was told by Abraham that they would not listen; and the implication is that even those who see many not believe-as is evidenced by the rebellious Jews in the Book of Acts.

For the heart to respond it must be changed from the stony heart to one of flesh ( Ezekiel 11:19). It must be something which God grants to His elect; no man comes to Christ unless the Father draws Him first ( John 6:44). May He grant that to some today.

Hello Roni. Apart from what we read in Genesis chapters 6 to 8, we have little else to help us know exactly what this covering of the Ark was. We do know that in the construction of the Ark, God required a window be made ( Genesis 6:16) - maybe for light & ventilation. This window would have probably been at the highest point of the Ark (a cubit = < 2 ft), below the sloping roof line & may have extended the length & breadth of both sides of the Ark. It could be that a part of this window, or another aperture lower down, was covered (with some sort of skin or wood) that could be easily removed for Noah to view the outside world (or, sea levels). Just a few of my imaginations - others might have other thoughts.
