Thank you brother T. Levis. I think we all have something to offer, from how we understand the Word to how the Spirit leads us to learn & share. You too, have blessed many with your many Scriptures you share as an answer to other peoples' enquiries - for God's Word speaks more correctly & directly than what we might offer. Blessings.

Oh I did not see that you had already received a good answer Oskar. Apologize for that. God bless
  • Free - In Reply - 4 years ago
Dear Oskar in peace. Have you read the Law of Moses? If not, you can do it. As you probably know, many of the Jews still have and live under the law of Moses. Peter is here preaching the good gift he has experienced and received from Jesus, namely the Holy Spirit. And in that kingdom there is no need for regulations other than to abstain from things that are for idols, from blood and that which is suffocated, and stay away from fornication. Acts 21:25

This was revolutionary learning! No one had heard this before. Acts 10:28 and 36-37. Peter and the rest of the apostles had that task and preach this precisely not only to the Jews, but also to those who did not have God's law and 10 commandments, that is, preach to the Gentiles. Can we believe they had Resistance? oh Yes.

But thank God and Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. No one can resist it for as long as they want! All who hear will come to the realization of Truth, sooner or later.

You understand that the Law no longer applies, be it circumcision or sacrifice. Everything we do now is because the Holy Spirit works in us to do what we must do. For example, pray, go preach, guide also further. The Holy Spirit can also specifically ask us to do something we do not want to do.

These days I have something very special and uncertain for me. So you can pray for me if you are led to it. I have to get an alternative in a way. We need to get certainty, put things to the test. So we not do headless things.

The Holy Spirit now lives in our hearts we who believe in Jesus Christ - Has the same meaning as the repeal of the law.

Hope this was an explanation for what you were thinking. God bless you with all the spiritual blessing in the Heavenly world in Christ.

I love, verse 39. Even, when, I started to read the KJV, I knew, this Centurian became a Christian, because, God is in capital letters. And what makes this verse great, is the fact, that this Centurian could have been the one who reviled Jesus the most, and Jesus, thought upon him, while he was on the cross! I believe, we will see that Centurian in Heaven

I recently spoke with a Christian man that has theologian friends that dig through scripture intensely and he told me that the tribe of Naphtali when they fought in battle on King David's side ,was made up of a Nephilim hybrid, half man and half lion. I looked up the word "Nephilim" in an encyclopedic version of the King James Bible that I inherited from my mother when she passed away, and the word Nephilim says next to it, to refer to " Naphtali". I know GOD destroyed the world by the flood the first time, because everyone except Noah and his family was genetically altered in that fallen angels had sex with human women and produced a race of giants but it saddens me that mankind is so depraved in the mind that even after that they just kept interbreeding with animals. Can such a creature be redeemed if they have the capability to choose to fight in a war on GOD'S side with David? Would a creature like this have a soul? I'm just asking because I believe that is what a "Bigfoot" is. (a Nephilim hybrid)

I like to answer biblical questions mostly with Scripture because I believe The HOLY Spirit will teach us.

This full thought of the scriptures you want clarity on : Acts 10:26-46, starts in Acts 10:10-15, with the vision.

Acts 10:28 , I believe Peter was referring to Leviticus 10:10-11, Old Testament Law,

Acts 10:26, Peter didn't want Cornelius to worship him, or reverence him that way, he corrected him.

    Mark 1:1-11, Luke 3:21-22, Luke 4:14-15,

Mark 16:6-17, New tongues, Jesus risen from the (grave), ate with them,

    Acts 7:8, promise of Covenant, circumcision ; Genesis 17:10, Romans 4:11-12, 1 Corinthians 7:18,19, Galatians 5:6, Colossians 3:11,

Hopefully these are all helpful & pray for understanding

I'm very close to getting a job that will be great for me - pray that if it's Gods Will he intercedes and uses his hand and Holy Spirit to open the door to this job. Also that the hiring manger's heart is open & willing to accept me as an employee/team member. I repent of all past sins & ask God for forgiveness & of those who've been harmed by my actions. Please also pray for my Mom's painful arm - that God heals it & takes away pain. God, please place a treatment in her life that will heal her. Pray also for Kenneth, that he finds the Lord.

    Hi Mishael,

You shared quite a bit. I agree that we're in a spiritual battle, rather than the battle is already won and we can just chillax mindset.

As far as the apostacy, I probably have a different opinion. I believe in accountability among brothers and sisters, but based on scripture I think this has a limit at some point if someone has turned away from Jesus and is embracing a sinful life. If we are no longer the one encouraging and influencing, but are at risk of being tempted and adversely affected ourselves, that might be one indicator to back off and draw closer to Jesus followers. The reason I believe that is verses like 2 Timothy 3:1-5 it says 'from such turn away'. Also Ephesians 5:11, Revelation 3:16.

You mentioned only 20% of church goers tithe. I'm not sure how you'd know that, because each person can give anonymously sometimes, and may give to a variety of other people and organizations in need. I personally believe that its just as much of an act of giving to give of ones own time directly helping someone rather than paying $ to an organization to do the same thing. I personally prefer helping someone in person directly. And I think ones time and efforts have great value. Maybe some consider that a tithe, maybe some don't. But I do, and I don't know how someone could possibly calculate what others are or are not giving. Also, we have seasons of famine and properity and sometimes people simply aren't able to give much and I think that's ok. I don't think that broke college students should feel guilt or inferior or that they're not Christians for not being able to give a tithe. Its more likely satan who wants them to feel that way.

That's awesome you experienced a spirit filled service. One more thought worth sharing is you mentioned 12 people who didn't respond to a message were 'hypocrites'. As a brother in Christ I interpret that as sounding judgmental. We have no idea what thoughts are occuring in someone's mind and I wouldn't assume its bad.

Amen. May God continue to bless your walk.

I have a comment regarding baptism- I don't see it as murdering Jesus. To me baptism is more a celebration of what Jesus has already done and publicly obeying and embracing Him through the symbolic act. It's a very positive thing, not a negative thing.

The Bible says nothing bad about being baptized more than once. Is it possible this idea originated from this verse about falling away from Jesus? Hebrews 6:4-6

Some who were baptized as kids who doubted there sincerity later in life should not hesitate to be baptized, especially if they feel led to do so. I was and I am so grateful I was. Only good can result from obeying Jesus, not bad. God bless.
  • Adam - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hello, it sounds like you're looking for a severity scale of sin. Scriptures don't seem to distinguish much between severity of sin (aside from blasphemy of the holy ghost). All sin is very bad. God hates sin. Some may try to deceive us into thinking some 'aren't that bad', but that is just temptation and attempts to justify it. We can't really be a Jesus follower and make plans to commit sin either. That act shows someone isn't a genuine follower as evidenced by this verse: Hebrews 10:26. 1 John 5:17, 1 John 1:9, James 4:7. God bless.
